Nice, spacious, equipment really well maintained... Every so often it is tough to hop on a treadmill during peak hours but one will free up in a couple of minutes or so. There really are plenty, and the staff and other guests are all friendly. There is a pool for those that are interested. It is mainly for classes and stuff most mornings but I asked, and in the afternoons it is a great time when there are no classes to enjoy it. (But I bet the classes are worth a try too - just not my thing).

I am not sure about the ladies locker room but the men's is really spacious with tons of lockers, and a hot tub. The sauna and steam room I am not sure about though but really everyone is there to just use the gym equipment and do their workouts.

The rates are pretty competitive for what the club offers, I think, especially if the pool is something that you'd use. The multi-club rate would be worth it if the other clubs are convenient to you. Parking is always ample.

**FYI** Do not, I repeat, Do not go to I AM fitness as a replacement for this. Formerly 365, lots of people left there for LA fitness back in the day (I was one of them). It is by far worse than LA Fitness ever was. If you think it is cleaner, it is not. Their pool is absolutely disgusting and it smells like there is an open sewer line in the pool area. Also most of the weights are rusty and there are broken mirrors. When it rains, I hope you like moving around buckets because the roof has leaked for years and they never fixed it.

Been to many gyms over last 15 years. This one is definitely the worst. Someone how I attended this facility for over a year. Not one time did I ever see a single person wipe down a machine. It smells horrendous throughout the facility.bathrooms are gross . 75% of cardio equipment is out of service . And the ones that you’re able to use are in poor shape, and dangerous to use. I told the manager one time that the bathroom was out of paper towels and she told me “yeah I forgot to order them” so that meant everyone using the gym wasn’t washing their hands because there almost isn’t any soap ever . Sauna is constantly out of service. For the price they charge you’re better off going to planet fitness. Zero gym etiquette at this place

This company is not honest, has no integrity, will screw you, and then blame you for the fact that they are screwing you like an abusive partner or gaslighter and then be smug about it If you join, I highly suggest you read every word of what you are signing. Keep in mind they may close the location that you joined, at any time. They may know they are closing, not tell you, and still make you pay some annual fee. When you call to say you want a refund of these initial charges they will say you can go to other locations. They won't ask you if you want to go to orher locations. They will tell you. That's because they do not care about you. They will say you signed up for multiple locations and states so you can go anywhere. When you say I did not and I told the salesman you did not want that, they will say you did, you signed it, and you have paid for a few months so should have known you were paying for that. When you say you don't have their fees mmnorized, you assumed you were being charged for what you bought, they will imply it is your fault.
By the way the equipment there is very old. They probably bought it third hand.

If you don’t value gym etiquette and enjoy shoddy equipment, this is the gym for you! The dumbbell area is wonderful as you get to go on a scavenger hunt for the weights you want. It’s like a newspaper word jumble puzzle- the weights are always mixed up! If you’re lucky, you’ll get to prep for your next lift by getting rid of the six 45lb plates left on the barbell that someone did not bother to put back when they finished! I also enjoy using broken cardio equipment, so this is a nice touch. I love when teenagers vape in the gym, thanks goodness they do it every day! They are oiling down their equipment, because today when I did my first set on the smith machine, my hands, arms, and shoulder got covered in oil! I also hate having my hands clean, so it’s great the women’s locker room is usually out of soap.

Sarcasm aside, I appreciate that the women’s sauna is always heated. I can’t say the same for other gyms I have attended.

I have been quite disappointed with this gym.
Many pieces of equipment are often out of service, and the sauna and steam room are seldom operational. Additionally, this LA Fitness location is notably the least clean I have encountered. The restrooms are regularly in poor condition, with urinals that frequently emit a foul odor, suggesting insufficient maintenance.

Working out was supposed to be a powerful help on my recovery process but it’s been a nightmare instead.

I went to a few gyms around before making the decision to join LA fitness but I really regret this decision.

Since I joined in February, I had to deal with no hot water for over a month…. A trainer that either was late or didn’t show up. The only good and responsible trainer quit a few weeks ago. They took for ever to replace him and when they finally did, the trainer is only available in the evenings.

This gym was absolutely horrific for the price you pay for. I pay $45 a MONTH for a gym that has barely half of the machines that other locations do. The machines they do have are either rickety or broken. Running on a treadmill in this gym is a safety hazard because of the noises they make. The machines are rusty, and the free weight section is always missing weights even when no one is there. Fortunately, I am keeping my la fitness membership, but I relocated to another gym that actually keeps their word about what they're providing as a gym. It's a shame because this one is two minutes away from me, so now I am inconvenienced further by driving to another gym that is in line with the money I pay every month. I plan on calling the corporate number to complain. Mind you, the workers here are not the problem. Theres only so much an employee can do when the corporation doesnt provide for them. LA FITNESS, FIX THIS GYM!

I feel like i speak for everyone when i say that all the members of this gym deserve a heavy discount on the last 3 months of membership… Broken Equipment, No hot water on a regular basis, No men’s sauna, missing weights, pins for machines, the list doesn’t really end. Paying almost $50 a month for a gym that doesn’t even have half of the amenities you pay for… Whenever you ask when the sauna will be back up it’s , “by the end of next week”. But everytime
i visit it looks like they haven’t touched the room since the last 3 times i checked to see the progress almost like they work on it once a week… sauna has been broken for months now. I go to LA fitness all over tri state this one is like my home location. Just wanna say machines are ancient some missing pins sauna used to be really good now it's falling apart the place needs make over from lockers showers to the machines just everything. I visited this gym on 11/14/23 around noontime. I was in the area for a short 24 hour period after a family emergency and was looking to get a quick workout in but there were no gyms to which I had a membership so I tried LA to see if they had a free day pass. I had read mixed reviews but since I just needed a quick visit, figured it would be worth a try.

I was greeted by two pleasant gentlemen that were both very accommodating. They understood that I was passing through and was only in town for a short period. They were able to help me fill out all paperwork extremely promptly and were kind enough to give me a brief showing of the facility so I was familiar with the layout. While there, I primarily utilized the free weight section and found ample equipment with no waits to use anything. Although the weight stacks were not always stacked 100% appropriately, I never had an issue locating the weights I needed while I was working out and felt there were plenty for all members. I found all of the stations to be in relatively good shape with no noticeable damage or fault. I did feel as though the squat racks were a bit wider than I’m used to which made it slightly more challenging to rack my weights and the safety guides of the box squat rack were slightly curved (although still 100% functional and adjustable). Additionally, I also noticed that the barbells were different widths and had different grip textures from station to station which may be important to note for heavy lifters. I did not see any equipment in the weight section that looked to be down for maintenance while I was there. I was hoping for a larger functional training section but what I did see and use of such equipment was in good shape as well. Although I didn’t use the cardio section, there did look to be a significant number of machines and even though there were a lot of patrons there, it seemed like there was still ample equipment open for use.

The men’s locker room was clean and well stocked. I had seen a review about the sauna not working but I most definitely saw people using it while I was there. There was also plenty of space and ample numbers of lockers for guest use.

Overall, I’m very pleased with the session I had at LA. I would certainly visit again in the future if I am in the area and appreciate the hospitality I was showed by the staff during my visit.

Stay away! This is by far one of the worst gyms you could go to. Just like the others have stated most of the machines are broke. The cable machines are not smooth they are jerky when trying to use them. Leg press is always broke. 70% of cardio equipment is broken. Gym is always filthy when I come in. Signed up to The Gym a month Ago. Visited next week more than 50% of Machines are not working. Today 08/31/2023 A guy named Ray called from the Gym and asked How I like the Gym I told him the Gym is terriblebecause it is not clean, Machines are old and half of them dont wven Work. I joined months ago, and this gym is not so clean. Also, they have had I would say over 50% of their machines do not work. They have signs on them saying they will be repaired, but how long does this take? And if the machine does not have a sign, I guarantee that something is wrong with the machine. I used to be a member of Club Metro best gym ever, but I moved. Then I was a member of Jersey Strong, and I have to say both gyms were so clean. There was always staff cleaning the machines or floors and the machines were in great condition.

OK, really, so now they took the signs off the machines, and they are still mostly not working. Removing the signs does not make the machines work. I got on 3 treadmills, and they did not work. The 4th one did. Incredible! Nothing has changed.
This gym is getting worse by the day. Missing pins and broken rubber that should be on the handles. It took me about 5 exercise bikes to go thru and find a good one.
I gave up and canceled my membership. I had plenty of time to fix these problems, and they never did.

Without question the worst LA Fitness ever opened. They should be ashamed to have their name on this building. Out of 24 red mills 8 work (been this way for 6 months) weight equipment broken never fixed, finally find a stair master that works and the steep is caved in. Awful gym, everything is broken literally 2/3 of the gym is in some way not functioning. Everything says “scheduled for maintenance” but nothing ever gets fixed. The gym is also very dirty, do not have paper towels and cleaning spray readily available to clean equipment like in other gyms. I do like how clean this gym is it's very clean And I was thrilled they had a pool I never belonged to a gym that had a pool before. One problem I did have was When my friend and I walked in to the front desk we had signed up for a 3 day free pass we waited at the front desk for 10 minutes nobody helped us there were plenty of staff sitting around that kept looking at us so my friend and I just walked into the gym and got our fitness on and nobody ever said a thing that's definitely a huge no no for the staff they need to be on top of things a lot better. This gym hasnt updated it's equipment since it opened over a decade ago. Puzzling to me how they charge the same as other LA fitness locations with more updated modern equipment. Machines are marked as "scheduled for service" for months if not years. Treadmills, stairmasters and ellipticals are almost all broken. This gym desperately needs renovations and updated equipment. I go to the workout classes and I was looking for the paper towels and spray to clean my mat, they apparently don’t offer that anymore, well how do the mats get cleaned between uses? They don’t! That’s so gross especially after Covid shouldn’t we be cleaning them more, not less? Makes no sense, there’s also other infections that can transfer from mats to people like molluscum contagiosum, ring worm, athletes foot, flu/cold etc this should not be the infection control standard that a gym at a public place follows. I’m shocked I even have to say this!

My first ever time walking into a La fitness I was greeted by the general manager Scott he showed me around and he explained to me about how the membership work and to be honest I really didn’t want to sign up but after talking to Scott and he helped me get started and got me very excited for my first day at La Fitness.

You guys have to go to Holmdale location. It is amazing, the atmosphere is incredible, the customer service up to par and very at tentative and of course state of the art equipment. Dare I say more!

Visited this gym and the General Manager Scott was nothing short of amazing. He made sure I understood everything about the memberships and made me feel comfortable. The staff was also very very welcoming and you could tell they cared. Check it out!

This place is amazing, the GM Scott cares so much about the gym I always see him walking around putting up weights and laughing with members. My favorite LA Fitness ever!!!

I’ve gone to this location a few times while in the area and have had a great experience every time. I’ve spoken with the GM and he’s given me nothing but a great attitude and amazing service. I’d recommend making this area the home location if you ever sign up!

Very clean, well kept and spacious facility.

Tons of broken equipment, including treadmills, despensers and elliptical machines. Missing benches. Dirty locker rooms. Frequently no paper in the hand towel despensers. Not working water fountains. Staff that is partially friendly. 2 years ago this place was very nice. These days, it's not worth the monthly payments.

Love this gym! It has a great atmosphere compared to others and the people that go here aren’t obnoxious. Staff is also helpful and always putting back weights others leave around 👍
