I always have an excellent experience at LA Fitness in Paramus, NJ. The manager is outstandingβprofessional, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. Anytime Iβve needed assistance, he has gone above and beyond to make sure everything is taken care of.
The gym is always clean, well-maintained, and organized, which makes every workout feel comfortable and enjoyable. The equipment is in great condition, and the overall environment is welcoming.

Half the time I come the hot tub isnβt working. I would call ahead of time because I know it doesnβt work a lot and no one at the gym would answer. So Iβd have to drive down only to find out when I arrive that itβs again not working.. for some people this is a big deal because they enjoy the hot tub after a long workday and look forward to it!

I've had great experiences here. The gym is clean, and it's not too crowded. The atmosphere is great everyone seems focused on their workout. My only disappointment was that the basketball court was closed. However this gym is still way better than 24 hour fitness.

The ammentities are always closed. Recently the men's sauna has been closed for 4 weeks for repair. Not one thing has been done in 4 weeks. The pool was closed for 4 months. The hot tub has been shut down for 6 months at a time. Save your money and join Planet Fitness

Iβve been coming to this LA Fitness in Paramus only because I live close by, but honestly the condition of the gym is terrible. The jacuzzi has been damaged for over a year and still not fixed, the water filter is bad, and the sauna is out of order. It feels like management just doesnβt care about maintaining the facility. For the price we pay every month, this is completely unacceptable.

I would not recommend signing up for this gym under any circumstance. I visited this location this past Sunday with a guest pass, and the experience was extremely disappointing from the very start. I was asked to present my ID, which I was preparing to do, only to then be told that no one was available to actually activate my guest pass. To make matters worse, I was informed that because it was an hour before closing, they βdidnβt have enough timeβ to activate the pass so that I could even get a workout in.
The entire situation felt unprofessional and left me questioning whether I was being profiled. The staff member at the front desk seemed completely uninterested, unhappy to be there, and offered zero empathy or customer service. Itβs hard to understand how someone with that attitude is the first point of contact for a gym located in such an affluent area.
I had originally planned to sign up later in the week because of the convenience of the location and positive reviews I had read. However, after this experience, I will not be joining this gymβor any LA Fitness location. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
LA Fitness: do better. I expect someone from upper management to reach out so I can share more about this unacceptable experience.

Someone used my phone number on their account and for MONTH I have been harassed by calls about this persons overdue fees. I have asked so many times to have my phone number removed and am told each time it is taken care of and yet I am called month after month after month. I will never enroll in a membership with la fitness after this BS. This is insanely bad customer service to what could have been a potential customer.

Tried getting a guest pass and one of the owners thought I intentionally mistyped my phone numbers to avoid scams and was getting pressed when I literally just mistyped. Donβt know why he was getting so mad over an accident. Also, the basketball courts are horrible. You can 100% find a gym w nicer amenities for cheaper. More importantly, you can find a gym with nicer staff π

i used to be a member in 2021. i was back in NJ for a wedding and tried to use a free day pass which was in town. did not know you could not use the free pass if you have been a previous member which is fine. the receptionist said she wokld try to honor it. her manager comes over and says otherwise. extremely unprofessional gentleman. just trying to get a workout in as a previous member and only in town for the day.

I've had a membership since 2018, but this place is the worst of all! The spa has been out of service for three months, and all they have are signs saying it's scheduled for future repairs, but when? How long will it be out of service? Every month we all pay punctually for a service that this company obviously isn't compensating for. The fair thing would be for them to lower their prices or offer a discount until they have this place at 100%...
You pay for what you get!! And they're obviously not providing the full service!! Now, the sauna has also been out of service for a month!!
