I was looking for a trainer that would help me with strength training as my recent bone density test showed early signs of bone loss. I also wanted to be more fit and stronger overall. I chose Wesley/ LaRoss Gym, after speaking with a couple of other trainers. Wesley understood what I wanted to achieve and was confident that he would be able to help me achieve my goal. I also like the appearance of the gym. It is very clean and vibrant in appearance, and has a lot of the latest equipment. The cost is reasonable and in line with the rates at other gyms; but again, the atmosphere at this gym surpasses others. And the location in Warren is very beautiful!

Even though I would not be taking another bone density test anytime soon, I know my body is getting stronger. I can lift a stack of water more easily and open a jar with little effort, compared to before my workouts with Wesley.

I have a couple of pounds to lose (not much) and Wesley also advises me on how and what I should eat in order to achieve my goal. He is very knowledgeable on health and shares his insights when necessary (e.g, he tells me the importance of getting sufficient sleep). He took note of some of my blood test results (e.g. Triglycerides, cholesterol, weight, etc) in order to have a baseline to show progress over time.

Wesley is an amazing personal trainer! I came across Wesley when I was looking for a trainer to help me get in shape for my wedding. In just 1 month I was able to drop 7lbs and get stronger! I did the 3x a week plan with Wesley- the workouts where challenging and effective. He even sent over some tips for nutrition and home workouts I could do on my off days which was greatly appreciated. He really goes out of his way to get to know you and make you reach your goals! Signed up for this personal gym program summer of 2021, and found Wesley to be so easy to work with and easy to talk to regarding goals and fitness. He definitely caters to what you’re going for and tries to fit you into his schedule if you have strange hours. I was there for only a few months then had to stop due to a new job, but I wish I could continue even now. The challenges are just right and he makes sure you are comfortable with all the exercises. Wesley is an amazing personal trainer and an even better person!  I started with Wes to learn how to weight lift as I had no prior experience and have previously had 5 knee surgeries on my left knee.  Wes has taught me all the ins and outs of lifting while always being extra cautious to protect my knee.  I have become much stronger since starting with him and much more comfortable in a gym setting so that I can also work out alone.  He is supportive, kind, and humorous which makes every session with him enjoyable.  After having been to other personal trainers in the past, I can say that Wes is the best trainer I have ever been to, and I would highly recommend him for any of your personal training needs (weight loss, weightlifting, etc.) as he has all the equipment that one could need and a vast amount of knowledge.  Throughout our time together he has become a friend and mentor and has helped me reach goals that I would have never thought were possible!

I have been training at this gym for approximately 4 months. It is literally the best gym experience I have ever had in my 35 years of working out..Wes is a phenomenal dedicated trainer. He is interested in making his clients healthier and fitter. He is very careful about any mechanical problems you might have so as not to make them worse. His exercise routines are designed to improve your strength and conditioning but not cause joint or back problems that were not present before. He takes a very serious and personal approach with each of his clients and designs your workouts to your personal abilities and goals. It is not a one size fits all cookie cutter type of training session.
He has made a huge difference for me personally with regard to strength conditioning fitness and even weight loss.. I give him my highest recommendation. If I was able to give him 6 stars I would. In addition the gym is spotless and clean and very hygenic. If You are serious about getting into shape contact this gym and speak with Wes himself.

I have been trained by Wes for over 2 years and he has been a powerful force for change in my physical as well as mental approach to fitness and training. He was and is the catalyst for inspiring my quest to take my degree of fitness to the next level. His enthusiasm and love of working out is contagious. Trainer Wes does a fantastic job not only making you feel welcome and secure, but he also challenges you to push yourself! I was nervous to get back into working out/shape and Wesley was great with getting me started and keeping me motivated. I also have a back/neck injury and since starting 7 months ago my muscle tightness and pain has gotten much better. The facility is brand new/so nice and private. The owner is very flexible with scheduling making it easy to get your workouts in every week. You can pick the music for your work out as well. After being apart of many gyms in my past (orange theory, lifetime, YMCA) i can say this is the way to go AND actually make progress and have workouts specifically designed for you. 5/5 for sure, you can’t go wrong!

LaRoss Gym is different than any other gym I've been to. It is a unique personal training gym concept versus an open gym concept. Unlike a typical gym where there are multiple people working out at the same time, when you go to LaRoss gym you typically are the only one there and you are working one-on-one with the trainer. Occasionally there is another person using the cardio machines. Wesley works with each client based on his/her needs so when you go for your training session it is geared specifically for you. I've worked with Wesley for just over a year and my cardio conditioning and strength has improved tremendously. I am much healthier than I was even though I had been fairly active and working out. In addition to training sessions I can go to the gym to do cardio sessions on my own. Wesley knows how to push me to do my best and encourages me along the way.

He knows how to work with any injuries or health-related issues you have by designing your sessions to address them. He will do additional research and even talk with your Physical Therapist or doctor if you give him permission to ensure that your program strengthen what you need given your injuries or limitations. Even if you are a healthy client you are not going to get a cookie-cutter program that he did with the client right before you. It is tailored to your goals and what you have previously done that week!

In addition to cardio machines, La Ross has free weights, weight machines, TRX, and open gym space that are all used during your personal training session.

In addition to personal training and cardio sessions, Wesley runs boot-camp classes on Saturday mornings, and Yoga Weave offers a class Thursday mornings.

I can truly say that my focus, my training regiment, my goals and my commitment to fitness has been altered by working out at LaRoss Gym and Wes. Below are few reasons for a 5+ rating:

1. First a very clean gym with all new equipment needed for appropriate training (Clean mats (very imp.), TRx straps, Kettle Balls, resistance bands, rollers, cardio and weight equipments , etc...)

2. A personal trainer (Wes) who takes the time to understand personal goals, personal challenges and works hard to make sure his clients stay on goal, understand and learn proper techniques without causing any injuries. He also keeps you on target, for example, I wanted weight loss and now I’m in muscle growth mode (after losing 40+ lbs).

He taught me that I didn’t have to do hours of cardio to keep the weight off instead he moved me to HIIT, Tabata and Functional training once a week to maintain my muscle growth along with keeping fat off...... I was never into 60-minutes functional training but have found them really fun and effective with Wes.

3. If you are a busy professional like me along with personal priorities (kids with sports, etc.), I find it easy to get the LaRoss gym because Wes and the team at LaRoss are extremely flexible in moving personal sessions to accommodate travel schedules, etc.

4. Lastly, I can’t say enough about joining a gym with no gimmicks but working with Wes who doesn’t have a personal motive. His motive is customer service which means keeping customers stay on goal and making sure customers see progression during their fitness journey.

If you have fitness goals, don’t like big gyms and need a trainer who you can learn from.....visit LaRoss gym that is located in the complex where Cafe Agira is in Washington valley Road. Last April when I was looking for a new trainer I was fortunate to be introduced to Wes at LaRoss Gym. Since day one he has been a great motivator, teacher, and instructor. I have been very successful with losing weight and gaining lean muscle. I love it here. If your looking for a private gym to work out at then this is the place for you. I don’t feel comfortable exercising with many people around but this gym is very private and it’s one of the many reasons I love it. I lost 35 pounds at la Ross !!
