Lifetime is like the Creme of the Crop in a place that soothes your soul. The gym is absolutely incredible, the pool is beautiful, the amount of classes they offer is amazing, the staff from the front desk to people that are housekeeping are very helpful. Karen is a real pleasure to interact with and is top notch.I do not think you can ask anything more from a place like this. Easily a 5 star operation.

Been a member since this place opened and it's gotten steadily worse unfortunately..I frequent the gym in the evening and it's a mess most days with no staff organizing weights or equipment.. The Equipment that breaks takes weeks or months to fix, bathrooms are regularly filthy or unkept. This is an expensive membership monthly and yearly, you guys need to do better.

compared to their other clubs i found this one to be very underwhelming and visually unappealing. I found Chestnut Hill to be far more inviting and warm. For the high ticket price I'd rather go to a smaller more personal club not a corporate conglomerate

This gym is garbage. They have over 10000 members and aren’t capping til 14k. It used to be nice now it’s a total dump. Their food is overpriced and garbage with seed oils and fillers, not even close to being healthy. This place is not a gym, it has 2 bars which I’ve seen the manager Alex while waiting for my wife from the locker room make a drink behind the counter before around 8pm on a Thursday night while nobody was in there. Then put the drink in a workout shake bottle. I honestly thought it was hilarious at the time, but like seriously unprofessional and not ok for a GM to be doing. I will be pushing this to corporate as I recently had a bad time with a Latina girl at front desk who cursed under her breath when I walked away. I confronted her and she said she wasn’t talking to me. I know damn well she was though because things were heated at the time. All in all, this place sucks. Workers suck, and the cleanliness sucks.

Just wanted to give a big shoutout to Spiro at the concierge! I was actually just visiting with my friend, but after hearing how much he raved about Lifetime and all the amazing amenities, I was already kind of curious. Then I spoke with Spiro and honestly, that sealed the deal. He was super friendly, explained everything in detail, and really knew his stuff when it came to the club and what it offers.

Because of him, I ended up signing up right then and there. So thank you, Spiro I really appreciate the time you took and the great customer service you gave. You made it an easy decision for me.

There are WAY too many children and it gets overcrowded. The gym is also a pool club and the amount of children screaming and also in locker rooms is insane. They don’t have to use the family locker rooms which makes no sense.
In the women’s locker room it can get extremely loud- enough to hurt your ears. Girls use it as a social gathering spot and just sit “around” the cold plunge or hot tub making it impossible to use. There needs to be someone or signs about noise and letting everyone use the amenities and not just gathering in the locker room. Some girls blast their music as well as being loud as hell and blocking amenities. You can’t walk barefoot in the locker room without your feet getting dirty too. It’s gone down hill. No longer worth 300$ a month!!! They don’t care as long as they have the people joining it will just get worse.

This is the best gym I have ever ver been a member of! It has all the amenities you could ever ask for and more. The staff is always friendly, place is always clean and you very rarely have to wait for workout or cardio equipment. You get what you pay for when it comes to this membership and I would highly-and I want to emphasize HIGHLY RECOMMEND this gym to anyone and everyone!

Something for everyone. This is not a singularly focused “gym”. It has a wide array of options for all ages, shapes and sizes. They include all facets of health- fitness, nutrition, recovery etc.

The membership includes hundreds of options to choose from. It can be pricey, and the add ons can add up, but those are in your control. The app has well curated, knowledgeable resources to improve your health. There are 3 “cafes” with different offerings as well, including a liquor license, trivia night, and poolside treats.

We appreciate all of the staff- from the front desk to trainers, instructors and the maintenance crew. Thank you for the community you have built.

Absolutely fantastic gym and an incredible asset to the Red Bank area! Alex, the manager, is truly exceptional, skillfully overseeing a complex operation and going above and beyond to ensure every guest leaves happy. With an extensive range of weight machines, you never have to worry if one isn’t a perfect fit for you, as there are always multiple alternatives available. This selection has transformed my gym experience, making it structured and exciting like never before. The spacious layout means I can move freely without feeling cramped, and unlike other gyms I've visited, I genuinely feel at ease here, thanks to the respectful environment created by the members. On top of all that, they provide massage machines, workspaces, classes, and a delightful smoothie bar/café—truly a one-stop destination for fitness and relaxation!

The reception sucks. My phone wouldn’t load my barcode and the receptionist grabbed my phone and started clicking around to add my code to my wallet without permission.

The next day I asked if I could give my name. A new lady told me No and then aggressively told me to stand to the side and wait for WiFi as she greeted other guests. Very rude.

Decent gym but someone had a mental health episode and was loudly incoherently yelling to himself for over an hour in the gym and no one on staff helped him. Fortunately, he did not accidentally hurt himself or others, but a gym is not a safe place for someone who is having a mental health episode.

I have to start by saying I am not a new person to gym membership. I have done this sporadically throughout my life and I always require a degree of personal training because I tend to be a bit absent-minded when it comes to remembering routines and what they target. Likely the reason for this is because no one ever created a plan that actually targeted my needs and goals, as an individual… until now. I joined Lifetime gym and Chris David is my personal trainer. He actually sat and spoke to me, listening to where I was, where I am, and where I want to be…he observed my movements and identified my weaknesses before I even had a chance to reveal them myself, and he came up with a plan of action that targets my abilities coupled with my needs and he is bringing me where I’ve dreamed of returning with my physical fitness. His approach is worth the hype and he is an asset to my training goals as well as to Lifetime Gym! Thank you!

I’ve been going to this gym for about eight months now, and today I had the amazing experience of taking a class with Daniela L, a truly wonderful personal trainer. She is knowledgeable, motivating, and makes every session both challenging and enjoyable. At the end of the workout, she also does an incredible stretching session that leaves you feeling refreshed and relaxed. The gym itself is fantastic, with great equipment and a welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend both the gym and Daniela’s training sessions to anyone looking to improve their fitness!

I'll edit this. Lifetime has now further retaliated and banned my nephew because of my negative review and my sisters negative review. Talk about taking it out on the kid. And they won't speak to us about the issue.

I had an awful experience. My nephew was asked to join their swim team and his parents said they didn't want to join the club as members, only the swim team. The coach assured them they did not need a club membership, he only needed to pay $250 a month for the swim team. He showed up for the first practice, got changed and in the water. The coach came up to him, in front of EVERYONE, and told him to call his parents and leave because he wasn't allowed on the team.

What a terrible thing to do to a child. He didn't know it was do to finances, and thought he did something wrong.
This should have been handled better. And the coach should have known they needed a $500/month membership along with the $250. What a rotten place

Buyer Beware: Not Worth the Cost or the Heartache

Our experience with the Lifetime Red Bank swim team has been incredibly disappointing. Our son was removed from the team simply because we questioned why the program wasn’t delivering on what was promised. This team is not allowed to compete in several meets across the state, and to this day, we have never been given a clear answer as to why.

Despite having an outdoor pool, they refused to use it during the summer, forcing all practices indoors, which contributed to our son developing respiratory issues. For months, there was zero technical instruction—until we pushed for it. Eventually, they brought in a coach who made some improvements, but only in a limited capacity.

This is the most expensive swim program in New Jersey, yet it fails to provide the value or quality that justifies the cost. Still, our son loved being part of the team, and we were willing to overlook many of these issues for his sake. He was completely unaware of what was happening behind the scenes. Now, due to a decision made by the general manager, he is no longer allowed to return. We haven’t even figured out how to explain this to him—we told him we’re taking a month off for his health, but the truth is, he has been unfairly removed.

For families considering this program: think twice. The lack of transparency, poor management, and refusal to address serious concerns make it a costly mistake.

I joined the club before it opened. Initially it was a great experience. The club was clean and not over crowded. Since Thanksgiving the membership has exploded and has become over crowded. I'm at the gym a couple times a week and they are always giving prospective members tours so it looks like it will continue to be overcrowded. At times every space in the 4 story parking garage are taken. Parking on the garage roof is common.

The facilities are not being maintained. I've never seen an employee wipe down gym equipment and the men's locker room is in need of a deep cleaning (hair and garbage in the lockers, garbage on the floor, dust hair about an inch long on top of the lockers, scum line in the hot tub, black filth under the benches in the sauna). This place is not even a year old! I've previously reached out to corporate regarding the cleanliness and no one has responded and nothing has changed. All it would take is adding an employee on the gym floor to regularly clean the machines (this is common at other high end gyms) and add an employee to the men's locker room to keep up with the cleaning. My wife says that other women have said their husbands also complain about the men's locker room (unsolicited). Apparently the women's locker room is clean and has someone always cleaning so not a problem there.

The outdoor pool area is a great amenity. But, like the men's locker room, by the end of the season it was common to see empty cups all over the pool deck which would not get picked up until the end of the day. Also, by the end of the season most of the cushions on the lounge chairs were stained with food and drinks (gross stains that you would not want to sit on). All it would take is power washing the cushions regularly to keep them clean. It was as if no one even tried to clean the place. Hoping for a change because it can be a great place.

This gym has an incredible spin/ cycle program. Yesterday I took a cycle edge class with Marilyn Pipperno —which was amazing. This is a highly experienced cyclist, who knows how to bring the best out of her students through intensive riding and great 🎵 music. Moreover, she takes time to ensure that her students ride safely and get the most out of our their 45 minute session. If you want to burn calories and start your day in a highly positive , energized way, this is the class to consider. You will leave invigorated and ready for action👍🏾 I appreciate that lifetime makes the effort to attract these types of experienced instructors to engage members in this type of cutting edge instruction. Go lifetime 👍🏾💯

I’m a long time member of Life Time, went to the one in Montvale and loved it. I used their spa services all the time and the service I received was always above and beyond. I thought I would get that across the board and boy was I wrong.

I went to get a facial yesterday with Chelsea and after the intake and discussing my skin type she started the facial. She put a mask on my face and acted like it was part of the regular facial I only wanted. She never ever told me it was considered an add-on or better yet it was an extra $40 dollars. I didn’t find out till I was paying for it at the end and was shocked when my $135 facial went to $175. I expressed my concerns and even called to speak with manager and told her what happened. She told me she would call me back and guess what? I’m still waiting. This place stole from me so please don’t go here. I’m embarrassed that I have to write about something so awful but please beware.

HORRIBLE customer service. My cousin and his wife are members there. I’ll be staying with them for about four months while I move up here. I asked about going on their family plan and the associate said “absolutely not.” They told me to either get my own or speak with one of their “consultants” about a “workaround.”

Shame that their immediate response is a “no” because that prevents them from making money. I work for a lifestyle magazine and do athletic advertising. Guess another gym is getting my money AND my business.

I love it more than Equinox or any other gym I have ever been to. My only complaint is that it's not enough time in the day: I could easily spend 4-5 hours in Life Time. The classes are versatile: everyone could find something they like, pickleball is awesome, recovery lounge is so helpful, cold plunge, sauna and steam room are lovely. Everything is clean, staff are helpful, trainers/coachers/teachers are excellent. I have done barre, Pilates, GTX, Ultrafit, barbell, kettlebell, powerlifting, yoga, and cycling classes but there are still Romany classes I haven't taken. Sometimes I like to make up my own workout and the equipment is on point: cardio machines are top notch, weights, medicine balls, bosu, etc etc.

On September 1st, I had the opportunity to visit Lifetime as a guest, invited by a close friend who wanted to show us what a great club it is. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience, and I was even discussing with my friend the possibility of investing in a membership while in the locker room.

However, as we were leaving, a team member named Jonathan made some unwarranted and unprofessional comments towards us, including remarks such as, "You're not very punctual," and even went as far as to threaten to ban us from the club for leaving just five minutes after closing. While I acknowledge that we were slightly delayed in our departure, this does not justify the rude and hostile behavior we encountered.

This unfortunate interaction has significantly impacted my perception of the club, shifting it from highly favorable to deeply disappointing. I am now reconsidering my options and will likely explore other gyms after this experience. It’s unfortunate that a single negative exchange has overshadowed what could have been a positive introduction to the club.

I had a great experience at the club after using the steam room, sauna, and cold plunge. However, my positive mood was quickly shattered when I encountered Jonathan, an employee, as I was leaving. Despite the fact that I was on my way out just a few minutes after closing, Jonathan approached me in an aggressive manner, rudely threatening to ban me from the club.

As a loyal and high-paying member, I was shocked by the lack of respect and professionalism displayed. It’s disappointing to be treated this way, especially after such an enjoyable visit. I will be reporting this incident to corporate, as I believe all members should be treated with courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, due to this unpleasant encounter, I will not be returning to this club.

This location is way better than my home location in Bridgewater. There's really no comparison. From the moment you arrive, it's immediately better due to parking, assuming you go at busy times. The parking garage is way easier than the battle of the parking spots in Bridgewater. The machines are way better, too. It's way less crowded. I absolutely love this gym and it truly does feel like a home away from home. My husband and I joined back in March and come anywhere from 5-7 days a week. While it does get packed, i've found times that work for me to go and be able to use all the equipment and machines without a wait. Everything is well maintained and the club itself is very clean. My one and only issue is with the outside pool situation. The main pool is specifically geared towards children and it really does feel like you're at a kids waterpark vs a beach club, especially on the weekends. This wouldn't be an issue at all if there was an adult's only section/pool. Instead, the only other outdoor pool is a lap pool which feels excessive being that there are two indoor lap pools. I do love coming here with my niece and nephew and enjoying the pool with them, but i really do wish there was an option for an adult's only pool rather than a third lap pool.

I really like this gym, but it does have its frustrations.

The atmosphere is wonderful, and the staff is incredibly friendly. However, there are a few areas that could use improvement to justify the high cost:

1. Parking can be chaotic on weekends. Arrive early or later in the day to avoid stress.
2. Childcare services often have long wait times for drop-off, and they lack sufficient staff to accommodate infants. Despite this, they still charge full price for members with infants. Additionally, the stressed-out staff have been observed being rude to parents on multiple occasions.
3. There's a need for more classes, especially considering the hefty monthly fee. It's frustrating that they charge extra for certain classes like pilates.
4. Power outages have been a recurring issue, with the gym closing at least three times in the past two months due to power loss. This inconsistency is frustrating and inconvenient.

Despite these drawbacks, the gym is undeniably nice. However, the steep price raises concerns, especially with the impending chaos expected when the pool opens in the summer.

Just beautiful. Everyone that works there has a great attitude and you don’t feel like you’re annoying anyone when you ask a question. Michelle (trainer) is wonderful and knowledgeable and I had an AWESOME stretch session with Dylan (trainer), he took so much extra time with me. Can’t say enough about the facility. The locker room crew is incredible too!

I was visiting New Jersey and went to this lifetime. Excellent equipment , everything was very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. My only concern was that the indoor swimming pool didn’t have lifeguards on duty. I was worried about this since my son was working as a lifeguard in Lifetime in Massachusetts and he did have to pull out a child that was swimming and had a seizure. His mother was unable to lift him. Thank God, the child is OK. This is why we need lifeguards at all times.

Very clean and a great place to get fit. I would like to see it open 24 hours a day 7 days a week to five it 5 stars. Maybe also a salt water pool would be very nice.

Everyone that works here goes above and beyond and is kind, educated and happy to show the entire facility. Laura has been exceptional at creating a comfortable space for Pilates and with the use of the InBody machine which otherwise I may not have wanted to get out of anxiety. I am thankful for her and this entire place and staff edition to our neighborhood which has everything anyone needs to become more fit. There is something here for everyone and someone who works here to show you the way if you don’t know how/need a push!✨

This gym is very nice and one of the nicest locations of the Lifetime gyms. I’ve gone to this gym almost daily since it opened a few weeks ago (end of February/early March 2024). During the first few weeks of opening, I think everyone was still figuring out how to operate and run the gym (trainers and staff were more verbal about opportunities to join classes and informing you of club rules). So, I think some of the 1-star reviews should be taken with a grain of salt…in the last few weeks, everything has mellowed out and the staff are super nice and friendly. The facilities are amazing and always clean. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because they lack a few basic things that I’ve had to work around (e.g., stool for shorter people to do pull ups, vending machine for those of us going to the gym late and need a snack or drink when the cafe is closed, and a deadlift bar jack when adding plates).

My goodness this is the nicest gym I’ve ever been seen. I had to join a waitlist but once I got accepted I was thrilled. The amount of equipment/quality is overwhelming. Plus I love the cold tub. If I can’t get in shape here, there’s no hope for me

Very clean and nice gym! Excited to keep coming back. Saunas and hot tubs are separated by men and women which is nice because you get the privacy.

Complete joke. You need to join a wait list to see the gym. When I'm offering a business my money I don't need attitude and obstacles.

I signed up for the “waitlist” and got called to come in. First the sales person was nice and states I could try the gym for seven days and if I’m not happy no harm no foul. I used the gym all six days and on the sixth day I cancelled. Biggest problem was the training staff. They literally harassed everyone on the floor trying to sign them up for training. I literally got asked by different trainers everytime I was there to sign up. Even with headphones in the would still come and bother you. Next I took a couple of classes and they were ok. The trainer who taught yoga really knew very little and mentioned multiple times she was new and still learning. Everyone’s got to learn but at this high price point I shouldn’t have someone who is new. Third they do not tell you the classes are extra. Overall just not a good environment. I read the reviews and was excited until I met half these people…NO SURPRISE they work at the gym. Spano is a manager there, the rest of the reviews are employees or employees of other companies that work hand in hand with them. Be warned the gym maybe nice ascetically but that’s it. Classes were held in the middle of the workout floor and not even away from
Other patrons. Not worth the price tag to be annoyed. I want to go to the gym and workout not encounter a sales pitch. Also, kinda funny reading the reviews what did IMfitness do to these employees lol. Atleast I know two gyms not to go to.

I recently started here and I must say this is a completely different experience than my old gym, IMfitness. IMfitness was dirty, the roof leaked and the pool was filtty. Da basketball reems at IMfitness almost fell on me head but here at Lifetime everything is new!

I joined prior to the club opening. It is nearly impossible to get into a class. Given this, I canceled my membership yesterday. The club said if I cancel within 7 days I would get my joining fees back. I canceled on the 7th day and they are refusing to refund the joining fees even though that’s their policy.

Nicest facility in the area by far and the amenities are second to none. Classes are fun and some are definitely challenging! Lots of new top quality equipment. Cleanliness and organization are never an issue. A lot of the coaches/workers here come from other locations and are all great people. Yes it’s not cheap, you’re not paying for just a gym membership, this is an athletic county club.

Stepping into this gym isn't just entering a fitness center, it has redefined the standard of a gym visit. From the moment you walk through its doors, you're enveloped in a world where fitness knows no bounds. It single-handedly changed my personal work life balance. As a new member, I assure you that you will not regret joining.
