Was a member less than a month. They added more equipment which is great and all but there's no longer space for the mats. Canceled my membership. But the staff were friendly and the facility was clean from what I could tell during the few times I was there.

I left the review prematurely unfortunately I haven't been a member more than 51 days but it's recorded and correct on the app as if I have been a member since September 1st which isn't true I saw a deal on September 7th which was Labor Day It said that I would pay $1 for the first month and $7.50 for the second month so I signed up this was advertised with the black membership including all locations. I then received a call from this location saying that my payment wouldn't go through Keep in mind my payment wasn't supposed to be going through for another month but they were telling me they were going to have issues because it was cash app and it wasn't. Very weird call and in 51 days I've been charged more than $80 For Lord knows what and why I don't even feel comfortable going in person trying to reach out to corporate because why would I be charged 80 bucks in the first two months keep in mind they want to charge me for the annual fee once I hit the 60-day mark shouldn't the annual fee come once the year has lapsed

Today 10/16/25 around 4pm they had a staff member doing maintenance on the machines. He was very unprofessional yelling and using profanity, throwing tools and hitting equipment out of frustration. He shouldn't be acting that way in front of your customers very childish of this associate. Very disappointed in him and the staff on duty because I know they could hear him because everyone could hear him and they didn't even address the situation.

I joined planet as a backup to my local gym I have been going to for 15 years. I have a place at the beach and also have been spending 50% of my time in NC. My complex has a small gym. I liked the idea of being able to go to any planet as I travel. I continue to be impressed with the cleanliness, friendly staff, and pleasant customers. With you had heavier kettle bells and a trap bar for my old man deadlfts but all in all this is a great place to go.

This gym has had its struggles with cleanliness and employees. But they hit the jackpot this time! I've been a member of Holiday Spa, Ballys, LA Fitness and now Esporta since I was eighteen. I became a member of Plant Fitness maybe five years ago because I'm a traveler. But I have to say the two gentlemen recently hired for third shift in the Cherry Hill location have gone "above" and "beyond" what I have ever seen in any of the gyms I've visited. They are immaculate in cleanliness, they encourage and support with knowledge. They are super kind and their true hearts show in the way serve the rest of us! They serve as unto the LORD and not unto men! I personally want to thank Ahzeem and Buck for being and encouragement. I am gaining my true self back once more!

To the ownership,
I love your club...
Here are my issues...
You don't follow your own posted rules!
1-Loud phone conversations all over the work out areas. This is supposed to be only on the lobby area.
2- there are gym bags, backpacks and coats in the work out areas by the machines all over by members.
The rule says... no back packs or gym bags or coats in the work out areas must be put in the locker room.
3- to many members do not put the plates back and leave them on the bars. Why do I have to clean up someone else's mess?
4- way to many people do not wipe down the machines after usage.
5- worst of all I see men urinate in the toilets and do not wash their hands and then go work out on the machines.
THIS IS TOTALLY DISGUSTING!!!

YOU BETTER START RE-EDUCATING YOUR MEMBERS!!!

Do something about the homeless couple that come in with bags of clothing and go into The shower for an hour to wash their clothing.
Sorry, but it's disgusting!!!

Shame on the owners. I couldn't help but notice kids behind the counter standing on their feet an entire shift. I for one am not going to be disappointed or hurt if they were provided high chairs. You're making cleaning toilets and the gym itself part of their job duties to clean. How far do you want your minimum wage to go? Like this was some sort of luxury spa, or exclusive resort. I have an idea! Why don't you, the owners just switch roles for a week after standing the entire shift then clean the entire gym and toilets. You people should be ashamed of yourself. As a former professional athlete, that's very unhealthy, as an employer that should also be looking out for the health and well being of their employees. Just maybe I'll get a positive result for these kids behind the counter to have some comfort while doing their so called job. Btw, these kids do a great job even without a stinking chair. I am giving 1 start not the location but the gym because I was charged different amounts that the website/app says, when I called she told me that after the second you get charge for the annual fee even on my second month of membership, and also you always gonna get charge on the 17th of every month not matter when you signed up, that is very upsetting to me, I explained that when I signed up on the app doesn’t shows that, after second month you get charge annual fee and every 17th is the bill due( charge date). Other gym I used to go every 30 days when you start you get the bill of the date you sign up. The equipment is good and clean just the service not satisfied at all.

I am a member of this anti-health Club. They will NOT close your account even with a letter! Planet Fitness will keep taking your money. They will lie, pretend, and any other thing to get you to leave the Club until the next time. You will have to close your account and it goes on your credit report. Your Bank can try to stop it. But It will be on your crédit. You are going to do the samething I did and join anyway. The Planet Fitness El Paso owner has decided to eliminate wi-fi from all the gyms to save a few bucks so there is no longer the convenience of wi-fi at Planet Fitness due to the owners greed! And you will be using your own data moving forward if you have a membership or are planning to get one there ☹️All I have to say to that is BOOOOOOOO!!! & Just a FYI, Wi-Fi at all other gyms in El Paso is still available so keep this frustrating inconvenience in mind if and when you decide to get a gym membership at Planet Fitness, as for myself, Golds Gym is closer to me anyway. 🙂

I first walked in and was like ooo this look nice not as kept as I thought it would be, but that was fine../ Then I went tanning… and it a clean it yourself time of place yeah no.. they need to go check on that. Now I went at 11am on a Friday.. I've been going to this Planet Fitness for about 8 months. Since then, they upgraded their equipment. This location has a very nice staff. They are soo friendly. Out of all the Planet Fitness's I've been to, this is the cleanest. Let me rephrase that. They all are clean but you always see the staff wiping down the equipment, moping the floors and filling up all of the sanitizing stations. The gym members don't make you feel uncomfortable. They just come and workout. I'm glad I made this one my home. I have no regrets joining.

I used to be a long standing customer along with my family. A little sketchy in overhearing the way people have left, I finally see why folks have. A bad experience in one of the managers left me no choice but to take my business elsewhere. Now i see why so many employees have decided to quit. No hot water 3 days in a row. This facility has their hot water turned down very low or off completely, as some locations do to save money on utilities. It’s an easy way to nudge customers away from using showers, meaning less time in their gym and less time running their water. It’s a good idea as a greedy business owner, but a bad idea when it comes to the health of your paying patrons. Someone could pretty easily sue the owner and the employees on staff who are all responsible for not having hot water which is in the contract and is necessary to maintain safe conditions in a gym with showers. These people only get away with this behavior because of the lack of consequences. Avarice is all it is.

I’ve been to most of the different PF facilities here in camden county and over in the philadelphia area. I mostly use PF for shower purposes where my fiancé and I are active Van Lifers. So I rely on PF to have a clean shower area with ample hot water. That is literally all it takes to make me happy and is the only reason I decided to pay for a membership. But at this facility both times I came here i had to take a cold shower it was clean both times so that’s why i gave the 3 star review instead of a 1 star. I would understand having a cold shower if when I came there it was packed and water had been running like crazy to run the hot water out. That just wasn’t the case both times it was early am and dead at the facility. Still there was cold showers all around i even went to every single shower stall and let them run each for 5 min and still cold. I’m highly disappointed in this PF and y’all need to do better some people pay to just come and use the showers and expect them o have hot water at the least.

I returned to this Planet fitness after cancelling due to the pandemic in 2020.
