I wanted to cancel my membership since the gym will be closed for a while after it was crashed into I was told to call the store. I can’t call a store that is closed and has no one in it. Just got a membership a few days ago. Samayah helped me with my on-boarding process, she showed me around and was patient and kind. The gym was a little crowded and yes some teens was there, working out, on their phones etc, Samayah assured me that due to free teen membership there are a lot of teens but that will end on the 31st of August. The bathroom and locker rooms are clean and the staff works together to keep it that way.

The fact that planet fitness as a whole has so many rules and limitations, this location is by far the WORST I’ve ever been to. It’s constantly crowded, ppl are playing around, ppl hover over you as you’re using the machine; with no regards of personal space, everyone’s on their phones and not exercising yet they’re occupying a machine, you have to wait almost a half hour to 45 mins to use a machine. I would not recommend to anyone. I canceled my retro membership because it was too far and the planet fitness location was convenient but it’s to the point where I’ll travel to a more sturdy gym or even invest in my own home gym; because this location is horrendous. Zero star rating

Lots of parking, clean facilities, machines always available, good membership rates, many locations. I love that the music and fans are always playing and spinning at this location. Floors and roof need some work done, roof leaks and floors bubble up. They often do repairs. Just beware when walking so you don't trip. It's a hot day, glad the treadmills and recumbent stepper have a personal mini fan built in. I love this feature.

Floors were fixed during their shut down for renovations. Some new equipment. Theyvare consistently busy at this location. I wish it was larger. Lol parking lot is the same. Cats with mice in their mouth strolling by. Police presence in the morning hours and people asking for money. Bit it's safe!

Un gym que no cuenta con personal trainer y cuando uno el cliente lleva uno para poder tener una buena rutina de entrenamiento dicen que están prohibidos los personal trainer que ilógico, con un entrenador personal uno dura menos en una máquina y sesión de entrenamiento es más efectiva

Today I came here to ask them to please refund me the $41.00 of the year membership since I’m pregnant and I can’t be doing any machine exercises as per my doctor. I haven’t used this facility for at least two years and they been taking my money out every month. Of course I understand it’s my fault for not canceling this sooner however I only came here to ask them to one to cancel my membership and two for them to refund my year fee since I haven’t use their facilities at all and they completely refuse. Some girl “ Rashell “ and another rep guy name “ AH- QUELL absolutely no customer service skills at all !! they were both laughing in my face when I’m pregnant and very sensitive I explained to them my current’s circumstances and omg! Hace un par de semanas fui con un amigo y una chica de cabello corto afro américa nos atendió mal, dijo que no entendía nuestro inglés, que ella era la manager y que no había sistema para atendernos al igual que nadie hablaba español, la gente nos quedó viendo como bichos raros y el otro chico de recepción solo la quedó viendo boqui abierto. Si hay racismo allí deberían de parar, muchos de sus clientes son latinos. La chica fue grosera y con señas únicamente decía; "today no, today no, sorry" fue una experiencia desagradable y vergonzosa. No lo recomiendo al menos que cambien el personal o reciban métodos de atención al cliente, no lo sé... lo triste es que me lo recomendaban bien pese a que dicen casi no hay entrenadores.

Good luck finding available smith machines! There’s only like 5 or 6 in total and people just sit there and do nothing, they see you’re waiting and they dont care, today was the worst! I've been coming to this gym for a year and few months. I can say that at one point I was going to stop going because it was more of a stress to be able to find weights to work out, just like others reviews have shown. They renovated the place a month ago and it really made a change at the beginning with new equipment and new weights. However, there is no one to organize the weights and keep the rooms in order. Now is a challenge to find weights in some of the rooms. They posted signs for the equipment not to be remove from the rooms but unfortunately people don't read now a days. They should have the staff make sure the weights are back in place or at least watch that they don't get move out from the room. I think at least few times during the day, the rooms should be revise, how come a room has 4 pair of 10lbs but no 20 and only 1 of 15lbs when it reopen every room had enough weights.

Today I came in the gym, after completing 1 set I stopped to turn on some music in my ear pods. While searching through my phone to find a good playlist 1 of the employees walked over and asked, "How many more sets you got?" I responded with, "Not sure, I just got here." The employee then asked, "Well, why are you on your phone." At this point I'm wondering if there is nothing else that this employee can be doing other than harassing me? I advised him that I'm allowed to be on my phone, and now that I've answered his question and he could leave me alone. He then towered over me in an aggressive manner stating, "I work here, and I can ask you what I want!" At this point I stand and advise him to just leave me alone. The manager then comes over and says that I will have to come to the front. Once at the front, she says that I can no longer work out at this location. After I attempted to explain what happened she stated that I should leave or she would call the cops. Once the cops arrived, the manager lied and stated that this isn't the 1st time that this has happened with me, which was a LIE because I had only recently started my membership with Planet Fitness and even more recently started coming to this location. After I spoke with the cops other members came to me stating that this particular employee always harasses African Americans at this location and that they only come to this location temporarily because the Linden location is currently under renovation. I'm appalled at this interaction and the way of which it was handled. There is no regard for the customer and no accountability for employees.

Customer service is always really good and the bathrooms are clean. However, this gym is often very crowded. Using smith machines is almost impossible on any weekday. There’s also often a lot of machines broken at the same time that will stay broken for weeks at a time. Question: Did the Elizabeth location reopen yet? Showed up to the gym and was randomly met with a sign on the door that the gym is closed for a few weeks. I’m moving back to my hometown and requested a transfer to my old club and customer service informed me that the Elizabeth team is unreachable. It’s been 2 weeks of following up and calling (and being unable to workout at my home gym) and I finally spoke to “Tom” from customer service yesterday & his “leadership” manager who said he’ll put in a “force transfer” since the Elizabeth upper management is unreachable during these unforeseen circumstances, yet the transfer still hasn’t happened. I was told they are outsourced and cannot help and can only escalate and re-escalate tickets, until someone from Elizabeth or upper management actually does their job and transfers my account. It is ridiculous that PF cannot be reached directly and that customers need to go through an outsourced liaison. You guys didn't hesitate to take the annual fee out of my account this morning, yet I’ve been calling non stop for 2 weeks about a simple transfer that I cannot do myself online and have no access to a gym. My husband's account was transferred the same day he called, and yet here I am with the same account and no one is getting back to me. I’m an actively paying member (for YEARS) who has never missed a payment, so someone needs to transfer my membership, otherwise I’m quitting. The quicker I can be done with this specific location, the better.

Came here in a pinch. I will never come here again. The PF sign was not where the gym is. You have to follow the tiny sign on Newark Avenue to get to the actual gym. I tried to fill my water in their water fountain with the sensor. I asked someone because it wouldn't work, he said you have to slam your water bottle against the sensor so it could work. It did and the water trickled out. I went at 5pm and the place was packed. No machines available and ppl waiting for them. They have more equipment than they do space. The machines are so close to one another. No one supervising, there was a woman holding a training class for a bunch of kids in the stretching area. Not to mention all the JHS kids running around. I lasted 15 mins and ran out of there to my home gym.

The location is hidden compared to other planet fitness locations I’ve been to. The people in the counter were helpful and friendly. It seemed like the space was a bit smaller compared to other locations I’ve been to.

I travel and I’ve been to many planet fitnesses this one definitely needs a make over!!!! For the amount of gym goers you would think it would be maintained well and the fact people pay a yearly maintenance fee. But nothing is enforced here no one re racks the weights people using multiple machines so others can’t use them. Also occupying bench’s with a cellphone to sit while doing squats. The floor is coming up and it could become a safety issue for gym goers. Also a lot of the weights are worn down the water fountain looks very sketchy. The people cleaning were trying but this gym definitely needs a re model it could be a serious safety issue. Hopefully if enough people say something it will happen. This is by far the worst one I’ve stepped foot in. The two stars is for the staff because they were polite and trying this mainly how poorly maintained this property is. And the fact it hasn’t been re modeled.

I have been going to this gym on and off for the last 7 years and this gym has gradually gotten worse and worse throughout the years. Every time I go to the gym the place is packed to the point where no machines are available yet the "crowd meter" is always at 2-3 dashes. It would be great if the "crowd meter" would be accurate to what it's actually like. Some machines have been broken for over a month with no sign of them getting fixed. The weight racks are often empty because members do not re-rack the weights and staff says or does nothing about it. Teenagers often run around the gym, arm wrestling on top of garbage cans without staff saying or doing anything about it. I remember there was a time with this franchise when an alarm would go off if weights were dropped. A lot has changed throughout the years.

Worst planet I've ever been to. TOo many things broken. It's so small inside. They also have these bubbles forming on the floors where the floors are lifting causing me to trip 3 different times. Water fountains don't work so why have them .

I've been to multiple PF'S located all over the country. This is the worst one by far 5 machines broken at least 7 of them missing parts Very little selection for attachments. And as noted previously, dumbbell scattered all over the building, not in the room where they're meant to be used. Nobody puts anything away. The rubber flooring is bubbled all over the place.So you have trip Hazards and the glue holding the carpet in the individual rooms is letting loose also

Ya estoy cerca de 2 meses y máquinas que estaban dañadas cuando empecé todavía lo están y otras muchas que no funcionan bien como es posible que se cobre una cuota de mantenimiento anual cuando no lo hacen, por otra parte el personal ofrece una buena atención todos son muy amables pero la calidad de los equipos y la falta de mantenimiento tienen un muy baja calidad.

The only good thing I can say about this planet fitness is that it wasn’t crowded besides that the water fountain machine needs to be fixed, most of the dumbells I needed weren’t racked and if they were it would be on the wrong spot, the sanitizer spray bottle were scattered in random places their should be holders for them by the trash, and when I went to the bathroom i didn’t have enough space to wash my hands because the faucet and sink were so close together.

This gym is fine. Too many people at any given time, probably due to the cheap monthly fee they charge., so it’s expected. The bad thing about this location is the parking lot. The people asking for money and the people who would break your window to steal things from your car. I would suggest having someone on payroll that can essentially be the security for the parking lot. Maybe just have the employees take turns walking around outside. Help to deter the theft and make thieves eventually leave this particular lot alone. The 3/5 rating is more about the lot than the gym. I would have given the gym 4 stars for those who don’t care about the parking lot.

Please enforce the rules of the gym, people use multiple weights which leaves other people without equipment, people are not returning equipment to the designed areas and they are all over the gym. It’s fine if it’s just a few weights but all the weights are gone
