Although I am grateful to have the gym to come to and spend several hours a day working out The gym itself is so dirty. The restrooms (men’s) Is disgusting. I believe one of the urinals has not been cleaned in several days as I’ve seen it looking the same with urine and other mess around it. The bathroom stalls are completely disgusting. There’s wads of paper in the and excrement in bowls.

In my profession I have built several PF gyms throughout the US and I am really tempted to reach out to the corporate contacts I have on the development side just to show them.

It seems like a brand-new gym, but it’s actually very dirty. The equipment is really good, but why is it so dusty ? There are leaves on the floor like I’m outside. The gym needs better cleaning and maintenance.
I believe that a large company like Planet Fitness can afford to hire a full-time employee dedicated solely to keeping the equipment clean — not someone from the front desk who already has too many responsibilities. The workout machines collect a lot of bacteria, dirt, and dust . Mirror looks very bad too all the time fingerprints there

10/15/25 Pubic hair cut and left in the shower stall…disgusting. No maintenance to clean up. A member has taken possession of a locker for the past three weeks, leaving clothes and wet towels in the locker 24 hrs a day!

You dont want to get a nail fungus or pink eye especially the virus one it is no joke.

I’ve been a member at this gym for roughly 3 years, since the old location in Englishtown, which I did like. But the new facility is far superior in every way! As a former personal trainer, you appreciate a vibrant/ encouraging environment, clean equipment, variety of weights and the massage chairs are a great added bonus which I do use after every workout.

I usually go at the same time 3-4x per week, early to mid mornings before work. There’s always space for me to do my routine with my gym partner and most importantly, we have fun doing it! Love the addition of the TRX bands, 2 additional rooms with extra weights/ benches plus having 6 squat racks are helpful. Some days there is a slight wait, but it’s usually very minimal. Everything is spaced out well which adds a lot of versatility!

I’ve even made some friends there too! The staff is friendly, helpful and always greets me when I come in. I love how spacious the locker rooms are, and the showers help a lot when I’m getting ready for work in the morning.

I have the Black Card membership which is important to me as I do use other locations, but Marlboro is simply the best! Having the app is easy to track my progress, make any adjustments to my account or get new workout ideas from their included plans. For roughly $25 per month, the value is simply unbeatable and I definitely plan on being here long term! 🙏🏋️‍♀️

Marlboro Planet Fitness is just right for me, good air circulation, it does not smell like a dirty sock. Equipment is placed with common sense so that you are not in another customer's face. The TV channels are good & the music is a good variety & not too loud. The new facility near the TJ Max has awfull lighting on the ceilings, it is so bright that it hurts my eyes & makes you feel exposed, also the way the machines are set up, they should be a little bit on an angle.

The new location is nice but it feels like a downgrade in a lot of ways. It lacks some machines that the old one had such as the tricep extension machine. There's also less of the other machines including popular ones. Every other Planet Fitness has at least two fly machines but this one only has one and it's always occupied. The gym is also always extremely crowded even late at night. Starting to question whether my black card is really worth it anymore.

I just joined this morning. Me and my husband came in to take a look around and Madison immediately greeted us and offered to give us a tour. She was so helpful, welcoming and knowledgeable. She explained everything thoroughly and answered all of our questions. I was on the fence when I first arrived, but Madison's excellent customer service coupled with the clean atmosphere and abundance of equipment, convinced me to finally make up my mind and sign up for the gym membership.

I had been paying over $300 monthly for pt at Jersey Strong and left due to the changes the new owners implemented. I am still in shock over the price at Planet Fitness. I had been a planet fitness member for 1 year. The gym isn't the greatest, which I didn't mind, since you know what you're getting from any planet fitness. My issue is when I tried to cancel my membership they told me to wait to avoid a cancellation fee. I did so and paid my monthly fee to the gym until the date I was told I had to to avoid the fee. That was the 4th of July and I went in at the end of the July and canceled my policy. I saw a charge to my bank for 52.25. I called the gym regarding this and was told because I did not cancel my membership more than 7 days before the next month they could charge me a whole other annual fee even though I had cancelled in July. No one mentioned this to me at any point until I had already been charged. I would avoid planet fitness because they will not let you cancel without charging you a fee and will keep tricking you into keeping your membership. The backhanded business practices combined with the poor maintenance of the gym are two very good reasons to not be a planet fitness member.

That being said I am a black card holder which has not benefited me in the last month or so because of the extreme heat in that area and one of two massage chairs inoperable for months. By far the dirties PF bathrooms I’ve ever been too, if you can try to use the first shower… do that, has the least amount of mold in it. Has the same amount of dirt in the showers week after week. Unfortunately the closest PF to my job and where I go walking so I come here randomly throughout the week before work instead of driving 45 mins back to my house.

Moving to a new location one-half mile further north on Rt. 9 in early September to the former Staples site and will have 50% more footage and additional types of equipment.

It’s a decent planet fitness but their tanning booths are awful. I went into one of the tanning booths and literally 9 lightbulbs were completely out and another 10 were nearly out. I informed a staff member whose response was “damn”. Went back a few days later and when they tried to put me in the same booth I asked if they changed the lights and the woman said no. I asked for the only other tanning booth they have. Unfortunately, it was the same experience. 10 lightbulbs completely out and a bunch more dying. Booths are not strong at all and a waste of time and expensive tanning lotion. You could literally stare into the lights and have zero reaction. Very weak. Even more annoying since you can only tan once in a 24 hour period. I informed the woman at the front desk and she said “it must be our beds then”?? I didn’t understand her response, the bulbs are dead, pretty simple fix. Many other facilities they appreciate when you inform them and they replace the bulbs in a timely fashion. Also, you can tell they don’t clean the inside of the booths. Looks dirty and very dusty. Won’t be coming here again. Tanners beware.

I was visiting family this weekend from Brooklyn, NY and figured I’d stop by this location for early morning workout sessions. Torn between 2 and 3 stars as I had a few observations::

•No greeting or acknowledgement upon entry. Like literally not even eye contact. Not only to myself but anyone within the 90mins I was present (in 3 visits). Front desk could care less if you were even a member or scanned yourself in, as they were too occupied on their phone.

•At 7am I always expect to walk into a clean club/gym, but in all three visits none of the equipment was clean. Do they not have a cleaning crew to sanitize at night, overnight or in the morning? No associates even walked through the gym to pick up discarded paper or check on machines. Word of advice, bring your own Lysol To Go Wipes—I don’t trust their concentrate/spray bottles.

•There are about 50 cardio machines from treadmills, ellipticals and stair climbers—and very few weight machines. It’s such an odd ratio to me, and wondering if it’s due to the demographic. Be prepared to wait in line or fight for a spot for your machine.

•Speaking of fight—there are a lot of hoggers at this gym. People who claim to be alternating their workout routine by using 2/3 machines at a time. A gentlemen told me this while I was setting up on one… in response I gave him a long blank stare and proceeded to add my weight. He laughed it off, so I wasn’t certain if it was bad flirting or a joke but the next day another gentlemen did the same. Neither of them owned Planet Fitness.

•The weirdest layout in this 1-leveled gym. I mean honestly the treadmills take up the entire floor plan, separating the very little weight machines they actually have. If you’re working hips and legs on one day, you’ll find yourself walking to opposite ends of the gym. How about grouping muscle groups together?!

•Please utilize that Lug alarm because a lot of your members are slamming machines after a set to give the impression that they’re doing an incredible workout. Little do they realize that setting down your weights with grace takes a lot more effort, strength and is way more impressive

I’m only writing this to help anyone from out of town looking for a gym. As an outside observer, there’s work to do here.

I have nothing against this gym however I was coming from Hazlet location. And I was shocked at how inferior this gym was compared to Hazlet. This gym has half the equipments of other location and the size of this gym is smaller. Of the 3 bar bells one does not work and there is a huge demand for the other 2. I am planning to go back to Hazlet as I cannot stand this place coming from a much better one.

I am an amateur disrance enthusias and /microbiologist*These are truly some of the nicest, understanding, and motivating friendly staff at one of these gym franchises. It's subtle though everyone here who uses the machines gets a nice relaxing view of the sunlight antioxidants IR energy. I was able to break through my 12 daily t0 20 smiles today. ! I was in the area so decided to stop by this location upon entering the gym there was a guy behind the counter who didn't even acknowledge me because he was so engulfed in his phone. I took it on the chin and said "maybe it was an important call." But upon leaving the gym a different gentleman was behind the counter and didn't even bother to look up from his phone to say thanks or have a good day. 1 of the main reasons I left Blink was poor customer service. Overall most PF's are pretty good but every now and then you'll find one that just makes you feel less than welcome. 🤷🏽‍♂️
