Various equipment options. Very clean environment, the staff are always cleaning and organizing, the mirrors are clean. Very friendly staff, easy access, spacious bathrooms. The only thing I think should be improved is the number of mirrors in the 3 rooms at the back; this helps a lot with exercise. And apart from the stretching room, which only has 1, the other two rooms don't have any. Other than that, the gym is excellent.

I am not sure why the billing on the app is always an issue but for some reason it places 2 babk accounts that were deleted in 2023 and 3 of the same credit cards on file ?!
Needless to say I had a,balance when it should hace went to the card I used since August!
Crazy but I went ahead to ask if the late fee could be waited ftom Oct.

I really enjoy going to Planet Fitness very early in the morning but that said most of the lockers in the Men's locker room are always locked. I don't know if the night crew should check these before they leave or the morning crew checked them. I think maybe you should post a sign that says all items will be discarded at the end of the night (No Exceptions!!). I think people are leaving their items in there overnight and no one is checking these lockers.

3/11/25 4pm...I just walked into Planet Fitness on Rte 38 in Mt Laurel, NJ. There was no one at the counter to speak with when I entered. After a few moments a man walked up to ask if he could help me. As I began to explain why I was there he walked past me to get around to the counter. He asked if I wanted to get a membership...I explained that I had insurance and that I was told that Planet Fitness was a participating vendor. He asked for my insurance "id." I told him I didn't have an "id" but that I had my insurance card. He asked the name and I told him "Braven." He then abruptly asked "how much is on this card - is $300 on your card?" I was appalled at his fast talking disrespectful and dismissive demeanor before explaining the membership process.

He then started rattling off information about the "black card and regular card" in a speedy fashion; I interjected that I'm not familiar with the black card or any other card and asked if he could explain the membership process to me to which he replied "that's what I'm doing - how much is on your card?" I said I'm not gonna tell you how much is on my card I'm trying to get information first since I've never been here before. At this point he began to rattle of the amounts "$287+ for regular card and $300+ for the black card you only have access to the floor not the black card amenities and you can only use this gym the gym where your member is starring at me as if I was a bother as he yelled goodnight to a "Lauren!!"

At that point I put my insurance card back into my wallet because his behavior was very off putting and he didn't seem to care whether I signed up or not!! I then asked his name and if he was a manager. He said his name was Matt which I saw on his name badge and asked if he was a manager. He said yes then I asked if I could have a business card to which he replied "I don't have any cards!!" I said thanks and attempted to walk away he said thanks and never gave me a second thought. He didn't offer me another manager's card nor did he write down his contact info on a slip of paper for me.

To say I was shocked at his behavior is an understatement. I worked in the Customer Service industry for many years and know the right way to professionally engage with a customer!!! After all, customers are the reason Planet Fitness is in Business!! At no time did he try to accommodate me, make clear my understanding of the services offered at your establishment in a respectful manner as a prospective customer, nor did he ask if there was anything he could do for me!!

My daughter and granddaughter both are members at Planet Fitness in Woolrich Township and they simply love the professionalism they receive as valued customers is the reason I thought I would also get a gym membership since I just moved to this area.

Unfortunately, however, that will not happen!! FYI: Having checked your reviews it seems like current members have also endured unprofessional behavior from your "manager Matt!!" It may be worth Corporate either reprimanding "Matt" or perhaps stage an "undercover boss" surveillance so that his negative demeanor doesn't affect your bottom line!!

I am very pleased with my Planet Fitness, Mt. Laurel, NJ. I have never been a member of any fitness center but I’m happy I joined. I’ve recently had some health issues. Now on the mend and am totally happy with how Matt and Maddy are keeping this gym so spotless. The whole staff is very nice and helpful, never disrespectful towards anyone. A Subpar Experience at This Planet Fitness Location.

I am submitting this as a personal request for corporate to launch a thorough investigation into the treatment of customers by the management and staff at this establishment.

This location urgently requires an in-depth review of its management practices, and here’s a clear example of why: the manager and staff blatantly violated their own code of conduct by harassing a member over an account that was not delinquent. During the incident, they disrupted his workout, created an unnecessary and embarrassing scene, and demonstrated a shocking lack of professionalism.

I initially began visiting this gym because I have family members who are also members here. Until recently, they had no significant complaints—it’s convenient, it’s affordable—but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

Unfortunately, this location seems to be run by disrespectful, immature staff and their equally unprofessional and confrontational managers. Specifically, I am referring to Matt P.

The situation escalated when my brother, a military service member, visited the gym to prepare for upcoming drills. Upon scanning his membership QR code, he was informed that he did not have a backup payment method on file. This was perplexing, as Planet Fitness memberships are set up for automatic withdrawals, meaning the gym already has our banking information. When my brother questioned the issue, the managers and staff became unnecessarily combative, creating an uncomfortable and hostile environment not just for him, but for other members observing the interaction. When he asked if there was an outstanding balance he could pay to resolve the issue and continue his workout, they claimed they couldn’t provide that information. This response was especially bizarre, given their insistence on adding another form of payment to the account.

My grandfather, a loyal Planet Fitness member, a military veteran, and a cancer survivor, attempted to politely intervene to de-escalate the situation. To his astonishment, he was met with outright hostility. After years of patronage, he was appalled at the disrespectful and unprofessional treatment he received.

It is evident that Matt P. and his team violated their own harassment policies, and they likely breached additional policies we may not yet be aware of. As a direct result of the derogatory and disrespectful tone Matt used toward a 70-year-old military veteran and cancer survivor, one membership was officially canceled last night.

This incident raises serious concerns about the hiring practices at this location. It appears that individuals lacking basic customer service skills and professionalism are prioritized for employment. Given the consistently poor overall ratings of this gym, it’s clear that these problems are not isolated incidents.

There may still be hope for this location, but only if they completely overhaul their degenerate staff and bring in qualified, professional team members.

At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if this gym is in contention for a Guinness World Record as the worst mainstream fitness center. Avoid this location if you value respect, professionalism, or even a minimally positive workout environment.

They can’t seem to open on time consistently, the staff is always too busy gossiping to walk the floor and make sure the equipment is clean and in functioning order or speak to overly loud guests- despite that being a core tenant of the brand- and the general air of neglect to the whole place makes this gym barely worth the membership. Its location convenience is no longer worth the frustration of the shortcomings caused by poor oversight.

Edit: In response to your very reasonable suggestion to bring this to your management team's attention, let me offer to forward you the email chain where I did exactly that in mid-August, which had a bullet point list of all the issues I have with your facility. Since the only concern on the list that was addressed was the cheap cosmetic fix of replacing the cup holders that were missing from over half of your treadmills, and we've now gotten this fun, NEW issue of your staff's inability to open on time- not 5 minutes, not 15 minutes, but OVER 30 MINUTES late- I figured that if I posted a negative review online, you may actually pay attention. As another point, why is it exactly that you are relying on customers to bring basic facility maintenance issues like hygiene and damaged equipment to your attention? Is that not what you pay your inattentive staff for? Since the last few months are full of negative reviews from other members, and the issues are still present, this sounds like poor oversite at the top level.

Been going to this gym since 2019 and it’s been going downhill these past couple years. The gym is relatively clean but the mirrors are always dirty. The main reason I’m giving a three star rating is because of the staff, particularly the morning crew. There was a line outside the door this morning at 5am because the staff never showed up it was 5:30 and still no show. Ended up going to another planet fitness instead because I have the black card membership but what about the members who just had to go home because staff didn’t show up. Gym is ok. Kind of dark inside. There was a hiccup with signing up. It took a few extra minutes. I will keep going for now because it is the cheapest rate around. You get what you pay for. Staff was friendly and helpful. Equipment is kept clean. The layout is a little goofy. All of the machines for specific body parts are on one side while the free weights, dumbells and smith machines are on the other with a hundred cardio machines in between. If you want to train using both types of equipment, you lose the machine going from one side of the gym, back to the other. The cardio stuff should be by itself, not splitting the gym in two.

What I do enjoy most is the fact that there are number code locks already provided so I don’t have to carry my stuff in my pockets and risk them falling out, getting in the way during a workout, or getting crushed by something or someone. I can just put all my stuff in the locker and don’t need my own lock. I know many of the other locations need customers to have their own locks if they want to use the lockers, but thankfully that’s not the case here. It’s the little things. I’d much rather have my items inside and quickly accessible than in my vehicle outside, ESPECIALLY during the wintertime, or having to take keys, wallet, earbud case, & water bottle and put them all on the floor out in the open during my workout, then put them all back in my pockets just to switch stations. It’s a hassle.

Therefore, such a little thing as providing locks, as the Mount Laurel location does, goes a VERY long way and is HIGHLY appreciated.

The regional, Sam, for whatever reason has such a distaste for me that she canceled my account after I left a simple note regarding my displeasure with some drastic equipment changes made. I have done NOTHING to warrant this bizarre ban & even more bizarre vendetta she and now the new manager at this location have out for me. All I do is workout & wipe down after myself. I need to speak with Sam's boss & the owners bc this is insane. Working out here literally saved my life after having been nearly suicidal last year, and now these women whom I NEVER see have just ripped my only affordable option away from me. I'm concerned for myself now, legitimately. Y'all say you're a judgement free zone, but I've heard Sam say some nasty things, including about her getting off on banning people.

Excellent gym! I am very happy with this gym so far. Ive been a member for over a month now. The weights and exercise equipment are all well maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful. Amber, the manager of this location was very helpful with the whole sign up process too. The whole place has a great vibe to it. It's a place where I can take my time and actually enjoy my workouts. The Black Card membership was well worth it too.

The staff is always nice, the place is clean and all of the machines are usually in working order. There may be one down one week but its usually back up relatively quickly. No issues with this location.
