A gym should have adequate ventilation and a controlled temperature (ideally between 68-72°F or 20-22°C).
• Training in excessive heat only makes you more fatigued, more risky, and less beneficial.

it’s been really frustrating to show up and find the gym closed, like this morning (July 10th). This has happened several times. Many of us wait outside, but the doors stay shut and the lights are off — today we had to leave at 5:20 AM.

We know it’s an employee who keeps coming in late or not showing up at all. On top of that, she’s rude and sometimes lets a few in and leaves the rest of us outside.

I've been going to planet fitness for 9 years now, and recently moved from South jersey to paterson, and the difference between the planet fitness down south and this one is night and day. Yeah I like to see kids working out and not selling drugs , but that have no respect. Walk around shirtless, blasting portable speakers that even with my headphones all the way up their music still disrupts me.

This is by far the worst gym I’ve ever been to. There is absolutely no security, and I was robbed last week inside the gym. Planet Fitness has refused to help or take any responsibility for what happened. I strongly recommend avoiding this location — do not get a membership here.

I left my tablet in a locker at Planet Fitness, and it was broken into and stolen. The level of insecurity here is ridiculous. It’s incredibly easy for anyone to steal your belongings, and nothing is being done to prevent it. If you want to risk losing your things, this is the place to go. Horrible gym. There are no weight setters anywhere as they’ve all somehow gone missing. Can’t even work out because of it being scarce of anything. Gym locker rooms have yet to be fixed. Leaks everywhere.

I have been a member of Planet Fitness for years, especially this branch. I arrived here today and it looks in very bad condition. It seems that it has no owner. The machines are missing their pins. Today I went to the front desk to ask and the answer was that we don't have any. People have taken them. I understand that, but how can something like that be taken by a client? Or is it that the gym employees are only paid to be at the front desk and not to make sure that everything is in its place and to maintain order in the gym?

I have been writing complaints about this place and nothing has been done. There’s only ever been 3 employees working here, no management, they allow teenagers to workout here all year long, they let people come here without checking in, and for months they have been allowing people to keep their belongings in the lockers overnight. Well today I arrive and see that someone cracked the lockers open and everybody had their belongings stolen from the lockers and now there’s a police investigation. This place needs to be shut down IMMEDIATELY!

Hands down, thee worst Planet Fitness in the area. They have zero air circulation. The vents have never worked..no AC during the hot months. No air flow. They have water leaking from the ceiling in multiple areas in the gym..they put garbage cans out to catch the water. Now you have garbage cans with water in them throughout the facility, plus puddles where there are no garbage cans. And, the worse violation of it all...they never open on time. They're supposed to open at 5am, but they will have you waiting outside until someone decides to finally show up. It could be 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or even pass an hour. Clearly your time isn't valuable to them, only your money. Wish I could give them less than one zero.

You get what you pay for . A 10 dollar gym and it’s 10 dollar service . Half a the year one part of the equipment is out of service and vice versa ., if they don’t decide to just to pull it out the floor . The last 2 times I was there at 5 am the place did not open till 515. Wasting people time is very disrespectful. I’ve been coming to this gym for a very while and about 2 years today on my daily routine I came to gym to work out and before working out I always decide to do a good stretch and what better than started to work out by doing some jump ropes so the past 4 days I request a jump rope to use and they have politely gave me it but today there was this lady that I requested told me they don’t have I told her if she’s for real and she just moved her head barely gave me answers, so all of a sudden now they don’t have or she was to lazy sitting down chatting with others instead of working and doing her job how is it possible people get mad she’s to sit down In a circle with others chatting instead of making sure each guest that we pay membership are satisfied with our service ? I will follow up with the manager who runs here because what she did is pure laziness because I know for sure they have jump ropes

I'm slowly getting too strong for the Planet Fitness brand of gym. I will have to switch to another gym soon, and I will miss PF Paterson location. It's always clean, the app let's you know how busy it is, so I can avoid certain times when it's too busy for me. The staff is friendly, the machines for the most part are well taken care of, and I love the massage chairs, and bed. I wish they had higher weights on the machines, and dumbbells. For now this gym is my home and I'll enjoy it while I can for the next two months or so. I hate that I have to look for a new gym, but I'm outgrowing PF strength wise and need some different machines. I'll always have a soft spot for PF Paterson. 💪🏻🏋🏻🦍- Rampage the Silverback
