Got 3 different charges on 3 days in a row overdrafting my account and shorting me on bills, and when you go to the location they can't explain why it happened or what the charges are for, but they can't fix the situation, and when I told them to cancel it they said I am unable to do so.

Just a hangout for kids from nearby schools. Kids vaping in the locker room and at the weights. Kids plucking back hair off one another and leaving it on weight benches. Wrestling around, flirting, and dropping foul language. Staff does nothing but apologizes for their behavior.

I used to love this location and came here on and off for the past 3 years and always loved it and their staff until recently. For starters, I would not say I’m a “professional athlete” or a heavy lifter or anything , but I notice that when people lift heavy weights or just lift in general, it’s all about preference, comfort, and personal experience. Going to this location, you see people wearing all sorts of shoes. From slides, crocs, hey dudes, and sneakers all the way to no shoes and barefoot/ just wearing socks. It’s all about whatever you want to do as a person. I understand some gyms have a requirement of a sneaker to workout, but I never heard this when signing up for this gym. Usually on upper body days, I come in wearing whatever I wore to school and if it’s not sneakers and I decide to lift something that may fall on me, I usually take off the shoes. I have seen multiple people do this as well constantly I see people in slides and with their shoes off. Mind you, before today, I have come in MULTIPLE times with slides on and it’s usually the same staff that is in there when I go, and I was never ONCE stopped or told to change or leave or anything. Coming in today like usual, I walk in and Jaycean and another African American woman were at the desk like usual. Ever since this girl has been hired she always gives guests a dirty look and seems uninterested in her job. She does not go out of her way to speak to any guests , just gives you a nasty look and you’re on your way. Jaycean is usually a nice guy but I guess something switched lately. So when I came in, I scanned in as well as my girl friend and we walked by like usual heading towards the locker room. I get stopped by jaycean asking if I have “proper gym shoes” on that I can change into. I told him no as I usually take the shoes off on upper body days since I’m not lifting anything that can fall on my feet. I do the same machines every time and what I do is not dangerous. Mind you also, a woman walked in right in front of us with slides on and nothing was said to her. So since Jaycean told me to leave because of my shoes, I stated this must be a new rule because I have worn slides multiple times to the gym as well as many other guests who yet again, nothing was said to them, and I said I was never once advised of this or told to leave so I assumed it must be a new rule. Jaycean proceeded to mock me and crack jokes with the other girl at the desk and laughed at us the whole way out. Extremely unprofessional. These are the main two staff I see at this location and sometimes a short white woman who wears glasses and let me tell you that woman is so sweet , she is the only one I ever see cleaning in here , and she goes BEYOND for her job and it’s obvious she wants to be there. Jaycean acted like a prick about the situation. Had he asked nicely and not mocked me, I would have respected this rule and understood and came back the next time with sneakers on. It’s because of his reaction that I am complaining. As I mentioned, it might seem like an obvious rule for some about the shoes, but I don’t recall anything about this in the sign up, there are no posters or signs in the gym that say this, and the front desk never asked me about this before. Plus as I mentioned, I have seen atleast 15 people if not more than regularly wear slides, or no shoes in the gym because working out is all personal experiences and preferences and i see online a lot of people who tend to lift heavier take off their shoes because it helps them out. Nonetheless, I think this location needs some help and they need to hire new staff who actually enjoy their jobs and don’t disrespect or act like pricks to the guests. Due to the interaction I had I plan on canceling my membership and locating a new gym.

It's perfect for me. I needed an affordable gym that had multiple locations because of my situation. The cost was the same as my previous gym which only allowed me to access one location. The massage options are killer! I love being able to go in after a work out or just when I'm sore and get some quick relief. I'm spoiled for this now.Only drawback is when there is overtly biased political networks, both ways, on the tvs. I would prefer that just be outlawed. Plenty of other programming out there.

I went in one day to find out my membership was not paid for the month. Didn’t stop payments or change banks or anything like that. I was on autopay and the app said I was past due, spoke with the third party vendor that they work with for their payment system, they said there was a system error.

I am surprised this gym does not have no smoking or vaping signs posted .I just caught an guy vaping on the treadmill why are people allowed to do this its a pubic place. How about you go buy some signs at lowes or home depot pit them up at the front entrance and enforce this. This is an building that should not allowed smoking its against the law under the clean air that was made in 2007 . I never smoked a day in my life . i will be wearing a mask when i work out here. A little backstory- I have been going to a HIIT gym and use planet fitness to shower after before I head into work. (this saves me 45 min of commuting to go back and forth from home to shower. About 7 months that i have been doing this, using the showers at least 4-5days a week (monday-friday). The showers are NEVER cleaned!! the walls are slimy, corners of the walls where the shower base meets is covered in black mold, the tile grout is discolored and falling out from the calcium build up. Like a little bleach spray goes a long way. i normally wouldn't mid but i mean come on lol its been months and clearly nobody cleans these showers, this is a breeding ground for ring worm and other parasites where a SHARED COMMON AREA should be thoroughly cleaned daily. Not yearly, not monthly, DAILY!!! Very unacceptable and hope the owners actually fix what management cannot.

UPDATE- 9.10.24 the "owner" reached out and thanked me for my honest review and advised me to speak with management about my concerns lmao. ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! I came here to leave a review of how I felt and I did, it's not my job to speak to your employees of how to run a business. If that's the case I'll gladly accept a weekly check to make sure your employees are doing what they are supposed to be. I came left my review, and am actually shocked at the reply I got lol. This is a more relaxed gym. Not really a serious body building gym. But it has great amenities and work staff. This would be great for a casual workout regiment. (Update)
Some of the workers are kind of rude to you. I walked up to the desk and the lady was talking with a guy. So I waited patiently. She looked at me and kept talking to him. So I waited longer. I didn't give a dirty look or anything. She was a tiny blonde talking to some young Hispanic gentleman. Have fun. They weren't hiding that they were talking intimately so I didn't want to interrupt them. But when she finally came to speak to me after I waited for a nice amount of time she was looking away from me speaking with a agitated short tempered voice. I recently took in some family so I gave up my gym and I don't know everything and some things vary from gym to gym. I was just trying to find out what my guest can do because I've gotten mixed answers from the staff. One staff member said one thing and another said something else. I have really bad PTSD and don't like confrontations so I do my best to avoid them. She seemed like she was trying to just get me to leave or raise my voice like she was. So she could have a reason to throw me out. Perhaps even call the cops or something. It would have taken her 10 seconds to just talk to me like a human and then she could have spent the rest of her shift talking to whoever the male was. Inconsistent staff. Be careful not to get jammed up for being courteous.

I have been to many PF locations and most recently the Washington Twp location became
my new home gym. NEVER have I experienced the disrespect, unprofessional attitude and behavior of management, both on a local and regional level. In fact, part of the reason I stayed so long as a member of the Cherry Hill/Marlton location was because of the very friendly staff.

Over the weekend, I encountered a woman working out and politely asked if she was done using one of the smith machines,
Since her belongings were still there, in which she replied no. I proceeded to a different machine to use and noticed she started using another machine, so I went over to her again to ask if she was done since she was using a different machine and she unleashed screaming the F bomb that she wasn’t done and proceeded to obnoxiously sing loudly and mutter loudly under breath. She was being a bully and another member approached me and my boyfriend to say that he saw what happened and that he and his wife have battles with this woman constantly. She used 3 machines at once, tying them up for other members to use- the smith machine for over an hour. I didn’t engage with her since I knew it would escalate.

Monday morning, Sept. 11th, my boyfriend stopped by to speak with the manager, Gabby. She refused to handle what happened saying it should have been reported that day and she is not coming in on her days off to review video footage. As a manager, that was poorly handled, and she said my boyfriend yelled at her. No, he was speaking passionately about the situation and how POOR the Manager’s reaction was which is unheard of!

On Tuesday, Sept 12th, I asked the front desk employee who the regional manager was, in which he text Gabby to find out. She told the employee “oh that’s for the guy who yelled at me” in which the employee showed me his phone.

Today, Sept. 13th, I reached out to Sue, who is the Regional Manager and left her a message. She promptly returned my call and could already tell her tone was in favor of her staff and she spoke to me very condescending. She was “doing her job” by responding to my call, however also handled this very poor. I almost didn’t feel comfortable speaking to her about the situation. She told me Gabby saw the tapes this morning and that she had yet to visit the location to watch the tapes. I received a call back a couple of hours later that she viewed the tapes and it’s best that we part ways and gave a vague answer that me and my boyfriend were threatening, which was NOT the case and all hearsay. When I asked what action would be taken with the bully, she said she couldn’t divulge that information.

Planet Fitness should evaluate who is put in these positions of “leadership”. They should be embarrassed who they have in these positions. As someone who has held many senior leadership positions, deals with the public and customers regularly, this is laughable and actually discriminating and unfair.

Reading through some of the reviews posted about this location’s management is very validating. I will gladly take my business elsewhere, which is what I planned on doing regardless of this situation.

Great facility and location. However I wish they’d restructure their hours. 5am open during the week is fantastic! Can be there at open, work out for hour 30 minutes and then head home to shower and log in for work. However Saturday and Sunday 7am open is inconvenient. This gym is so much better than my home gym in SIcklerville. It’s cleaner and all the machines are in way better shape. I have to come here because the stair climbers in SIcklerville are all broken and unplugged. The SIcklerville gym has all the original machines from when the place opened and they are constantly breaking down and out of service for weeks at a time. The Sewell gym has 5 stair climbers all in perfect clean working order. If I lived closer I would definitely make this gym my home gym.

Ariana the Assistant Manager, Kenny the Personal Trainer, and I apologize because I forgot her name but the Club Manager were all very supportive of me and did the right thing by me. I use PF’s up and down the east coast. This location is, by a long way, the worst due almost entirely to the Lilliputian area manager who has a severe Napolean complex.
