I usually don’t leave a review, but if I could give it a zero, I would give it a zero!
. I’ve been going there for over two years since the beginning of when they opened -they have people that are incompetent that don’t know customer service.. . don’t know how to talk to people and have no idea how to correct things when something is wrong.. The same problem over and over again starts to become frustrating when you’re standing there giving people your credentials and they still don’t get it right after two years . I stood there and read my routing and account number four times and they still don’t have it in the system, right
I’m so over it. !
The girl Manager should go get another career .. she’s horrible . very disappointing .

This is a newer location so the equipment is very up to date, but it is small compared to other locations. Convenient shopping center: I can hit the gym, Target, Acme, Passion Vines and pet smart in one quick car trip or on a nice day get my cool down walking the rounds.

Can we have the 24/7 open all night and day? I'm sorry but I know im not the only one that wants 24/7 back, nurses and people that work until after 10pm should be able to work our as well whether it be after work or before they go. Please give us back 24/7, beside black card members pay for the electric bill at night time when they leave all the lights on.

Over all this is a solid gym, the staff greets you and wishes you well when you leave. The gym layout itself is a little congested, mostly because they have put soooo much equipment into a small space. When I was there I did nothing almost everything being used so clearly there’s a need for it all. At some point they will have to expand to meet the demands of the members.

The gym is clean and the staff is friendly. Would give five stars if they would enforce the "no bags or backpacks on the workout floor" and "cell calls in lobby". When the gym gets busy the bags start to get in the way. Also most people don't care to hear someone else's phone conversation while working out.

Nothing but good things to say about this gym and staff .. I go super early and the fella who works the desk is really nice and keeps the place clean. Showers and bathrooms are always spotless. And all the members seem nice. Go in there handle your business and then you are playing with house money the rest of the day ! Ps the app for gym has a very easy interface and can be used universally throughout the country.. if you are a traveler like me i recommend the Black Card. Gives you access to all planet fitness throughout the country:

I am really happy with the general atmosphere, however the circuit training section would be great if multiple members didn't chose to just work out in that section.... trying to teach a teen good etiquette and basics at the gym is difficult when members are allowed to hog machines that are allotted for green light/ red light.... It’s ok. Dosent compare to mays landing planet fitness. Small gym. The spa area where hydro massage is smells terrible and it’s been that way forever. I’d rather drive to mays landing to use their spa area because they’re very clean and have cyro machine. If somers point ever fixes this I’d fix my review and start going here regularly. But we will see.

This is one of the nicest gyms I've ever been to, it's clean, has every piece of equipment you could ask for and all of the amenities including tanning, Red light, hybrid tanning and total body enhancement , massage chairs, hydro massage chairs ( which is my favorite, and an extremely nice manager and staff. I will never go to any other gym. This is my happy place.

BEWARE. SEE PHOTOS. Too many broken machines/treadmills/etc with no repairs. It’s been since late June 2024 and the same broken equipment, the same answers from the staff. Go anywhere else. Do not waste your time, money & energy.

UPDATE: At Planet Fitness’ request, I’ve emailed their social network email… as expected: Still ZERO response from ownership - completely ignorant of maintaining gym equipment and members. A terrible business model at best. Always a monthly auto payment, never any service.

When I first joined, they were open 24/7 I think that it’s a breach of contract actually and now you can’t even go tan! Somerspoint has one tanning facility and half the time the bulbs aren’t even strong enough , they don’t change them enough for the amount of use it gets because there’s only one. I mean, I do go to work out also now and then, but I’d like to use the other facilities also.

I am a member of this fantastic gym situated very conveniently in Somers Point near the Acme supermarket. The equipment is brand new, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is awesome. Some employees take their job totally too serious. I'm not going to mention the employee, but he was very rude. I've been a customer planet fitness for a while, and I have never encountered such an indignant, rude, and intentionally annoying person. If Mara was still the manager there, and I can see why she left, this kid would be sent walking to find another place to work.

I'm new to this location. It does seem smaller than others I've been to. Staff seems nice. Equipment and areas are clean. I have to agree with another review I read about the peck deck and lack of open floor space. Wish they had two of those machines and more floor area to do my burpees and circuit training in. This location is a bit smaller than others but very clean and convenient for me. It has the same equipment for the most part as larger locations, just one of each. The area to do stretching etc is also small. It does have a lot of cardio equipment and the circuit training. Works fine for me as I haven't seen it super busy.

My favorite PF! I try to row as part pf my fitness routine and too many PFs have cheezy entry-level nylon rope-pull machines that dont translate power well at all. This new location took the time to invest in chain-pull LifeFitness rowers that challenge Concept2 rowers!
