They'll have the same broken machine for a YEAR saying it'll get fixed and then just completely get rid of it. For some reason the showers have no privacy, and face the bathroom mirrors??? Staff are CONSTANTLY in the bathroom pretending to clean (yet the showers are still always disgusting) and also adds to the lack of privacy and uncomfortability in the locker room. They will also constantly walk around with a feather duster dusting the machines next to you kicking up all the dust and interrupting your workout. If you need to go to a PF, go to the one in Rockaway, it's much nicer.

If you only want to do cardio this is the gym for you. Then again you don't see many members on all 50 CARDIO machines, which take up half the facility, going any faster than a brisk walk. The energy there is low and doesn't give you motivation to train. I've been a member of many gyms and workout almost everyday. Planet fitness is one of the worst gyms I've ever trained at when it comes to the atmosphere. It doesn't give you the motivation to get in shape or achieve your goals. Yes that's generalized. Like I said, way too many cardio machines taking up way too much space and that limits your opportunity to get on a life fitness weight machine hoping to work on specific body parts appropriately. Unless you standing next to the machine waiting for the other member to finish you may not have another opportunity. I love working out, always have, and this gym actually makes me consider giving up and go eat fast food, drink, and get fat.

I’ve been going to PF Succasunna for 2 years now and the front desk staff has constantly been so friendly! Title: Disgustingly Unclean — Completely Unacceptable Hygiene Standards

I have visited this gym couple of weeks ago and I was shocked by what I saw!
I’ve never felt more compelled to leave a review than after my experience at this gym. The lack of cleanliness is not just disappointing—it’s downright unhygienic and unsafe!

The showers and bathrooms are consistently filthy, with dirty floors, overflowing trash bins, and a persistent foul smell. What’s worse—and completely unacceptable—is finding used menstrual pads left in the shower stalls. That is not only unsanitary but also shows a disturbing lack of maintenance and attention from the staff unlike my gym in Hackettstown

This level of neglect is appalling, especially in a facility that promotes health and wellness. It reflects poorly on management, who seem to turn a blind eye to basic hygiene standards.

Until this gym prioritizes proper cleaning and respects the safety and dignity of its members, especially women, I cannot recommend it to anyone.
We deserve better.

I frequent many different planet fitness in New Jersey. Private or corporate owned.. this specific gym the machines are overcrowded WHICH IS A HUGE TRIPPING FACTOR. The machines ARE within inches, of each other- go try the HIP machines and see what happens if there’s someone, on one next to you. Such close proximitywhich causes unsanitary respiratory . ——The owners of this branch should really frequent it. The branch is certainly not corporate owned . The master plan here is off, considering branching out to the next stores when possible. Must say the employees are top notch from big mike, trainer Glenn, Branch, Lauren, Mikey, Anthony, Emily and Big Mike.

Walking into this gym feels less like working out and more like catching up with your buddy — and that’s because of Branch. He’s like the human version of a pre-workout energy boost. I workout here most days and I’ve never had a concern or dissatisfaction. The equipment is always clean and proper. The staff, I’ve noticed, are very helpful and chill. This one dude Anthony is super friendly always wishes me a good workout. I see him working more than other staff members. Not to mention my boy’s physique motivates me to get bigger. Probably smallest PF I’ve been to. Gym employees are friendly. Locker room is clean for most part. Lots of cardio machines, not as much weight training machines. Unfortunately it seems to take a while to get machines fixed, which doesn’t help gym members when crowded due to smaller gym.
