This is not about this particular location. I went to several of them and they’re all pretty similar. Nice equipment, lots of tv’s, nice locker rooms, nice staff. But it wasn’t for me. I hated the techno-crap club mixes running all the time, and I felt bored there having lived in an area with a small local gym that was friendly and comfortable (and played Rock, lol). But the company itself deserves 0 stars. Says you can cancel online, tried that multiple times in the days before I’d be charged again, and you can’t do it. They make you go to not only a Planet Fitness but the one you joined at, which was out of the way (when I joined I was having car repairs done near the gym). And in the few days before I was able to get there, they charged me the annual fee which was around $50, don’t recall now. No warning of when it would be. Even though I cancelled one day later (this was the second month of membership) they won’t refund any of it. Would never sign up again. Not because of the gyms but their predatory corporate policies. Felt like they turned me upside down and shook the change out of my pockets.

This is a clean friendly gym. I've been a member since sept. They are supposed to open at 5. The place has opened late many times. I work at six A.M. and its the only time i have. . What a crappy way to start my day. Im looking for another gym.

I travel and the Fitness Center I choose to join was Planet Fitness due to them having so many locations. Not all Planet Fitness centers are equal. This one located at 225 NJ 73 West Berlin, NJ is very good. The facility was clean and the staff, especially Emily, was helpful. If you are in the area, even just for a visit, this is the place to go.

My fav home Club to be at. Staff are friendly, always cleaning and making sure the club is clean and welcoming. Though, they’ve been having issues with the soap dispenser in the men’s bathroom. There’s only one dispenser that works, and I’m sure it has been brought to their attention. It’s been a while since this has been happening.
But other than that, this club is less crowded than other gyms and has enough space for a enjoyable workout!

This place is a single functional soap dispenser away from being 4 or 5 stars.

But they don't have a single functional soap dispenser in the men's bathroom. On my way out, I tried 3 hand sanitizer dispensers, all empty. I wouldn't be surprised if the alcohol spray was just tap water at this point.

Fix the most basic of problems and get your 4 starts back!

Someone teach the kids how to use a computer and what a black card membership grants guests to. I'm from out of town and for some reason my card wouldn't work correctly. My member number and name come up but the people behind the desk said I couldn't tan. This happened in other locations but the people let me tan. The guy said it was illegal to let me tan what a joke.

The best experience as an adult joining the gym. So far every team member has been welcoming in the two locations I've work out at, Clementon and West Berlin. The gym is clean, the bathrooms are clean, the relaxation center is clean. I'm really glad I stepped it up to the Black member because I enjoy after a hard workout just to relax with the total body enhancement and the hydrobed. I've been hesitant for a while to join but it truly is what they advertise a enjoyable place to work out.

I've been going to the one in Berlin NJ for a few weeks now and I love it. A variety of equipment to use to get the most out of your workout. I like how clean it is especially in the bathrooms and showers. This company is THE WORST to deal with . I moved out of state , I spoke to A Womans on the phone about canceling my membership and years ago when I first signed up, you can do it over the phone but now she’s telling me her policy has changed. You can only do it in person or by mail. I didn’t have access to stamps where I’m located and I’m almost 2 hours away from the home gym that I was attached to in the membership. so, my only other option was to call my bank and put a stop on the account that was taking the money out from planet fitness. Which my bank did for my routing number. They change their name and put “ABC planet fitness” in front of their name, and took the money off of my debit card instead since the account was blocked from my actual routing number. This is Robbery ! I will NEVER in my life return to a planet fitness nor will I ever recommend it to anyone i know . I still need my membership canceled which the company has no interest in helping you with due to the fact that they just wanna take my money .

Employees need to learn how to speak to customers. Was harassed by one of the employees because they didn’t feel like doing their job before close. Avoid this one and go to the one in cherry hill. Employees are much friendlier, professional, and take their job seriously. Place is always trying to close by 6:30 on the weekend even though they are open until 7. Very frustrating and will be reporting the harassment to upper management.
*update- went to discuss the matter and was greeted and approached by a very unfriendly general manager. Looking at previous reviews many people have the same problem. Would love to be able to speak to the owner.
**update 2: tried calling in to get in touch with the owner. Instead was yet again harassed by the manager. No call from the owner, ridiculous.

Very odd experience today. Removed my shoes to do the stairmaster as they were giving me blisters. A female employee approached me halfway through my cardio session to say “YOU NEED TO HAVE SHOES ON!” In a manner as if I just slapped her mother. Ridiculous. There is a way to talk to people. Planet Fitness in Berlin is cleaner and all the equipment is in way better shape than my home gym SIcklerville. I had to use the Berlin Planet Fitness multiple times when the stair climber machines are all broken and unplugged at the SIcklerville gym. If I lived closer I would make Berlin my home gym.

Services and staff all work well and the facility looks great my problem lies much higher up. Ever since covid the Planet has reduced certain things: Begal Tuesdays, Pizza Fridays and let's not forget the big bucket of tootsie rolls. Now post quarantine, all those missing features is still understandable, But what IS NOT understandable to me is...

Their hours, Planet fitness sales pitch was they're a gym that's open 24/7 that's what got many people in the doors and signing up for memberships, it made their gyms stand out from others. NOW for whatever reason, they're abiding by these normal gym hours? Why? Why are they NOT back to 24/7? I for one and many other gym goers would love to get in there earlier than 5am. If this continues, might I suggest they offer discounts to current members since at signing they were 24/7 and now they choose to reduce themselves to every other gym in the surrounding area.

Would have 4 stars if the dumbbells went over 80, And the barbells went over 60. That's pitiful for a gym. They are missing many essential pieces of equipment also. But they want to make everyone feel welcome and don't want anyone to feel intimidated. So I understand why they do this. It just isn't for any serious lifters, they need a fully functional gym, and this just isn't that.
