Great gym! Has everything. The Childcare center is excellent. You don't need a reservation. I started sending my baby when he was 4 months old and the staff take great care of him. Katherine is the manager and she does a great job. Anu and Pamela are wonderful and warm and really seem to adore children.

I have been a member for 10+ years . Overall good experience but it does get crowded in peak times. More importantly, I wanted to thank Anu at the childcare- she is great and my daughter loves coming with me which gives me time sand peace of mind while I exercise.

I love this gym! The staff in the childcare room is wonderful! Anu in the childcare room is so loving and caring and she even braided my 4-years old little girl's hair when she asked! The childcare manager Katherine is super nice as well! My little one doesn’t go often, but every time she does, she loves it. Thank you for all the patience, love, care and warmth — you’ve made such a difference in our experience!

Not satisfied with the way child care is being handled. A long time member and my kids literally grew up being in the childcare. Unfortunately, had to make a tough decision to cancel membership due to recent issues that made us very unhappy. The management seem to not care much about child care complaints and resolving it. Thanks

I just wanted to say how much I’m loving my experience at the gym! The classes are amazing, and I really appreciate having so many time options throughout the day. But honestly, the best part for me is the childcare room! I chose this gym after reading the reviews, especially about the childcare. I have a 4-year-old daughter and a 10-month-old baby. My daughter doesn’t come often, but
every time she does, she loves it. My baby comes with me every day and has adapted so well thanks to the incredible team — especially Katherine and Pamela. They’ve been so patient and kind, and in the beginning, they encouraged me not to give up, reminding me that he would adjust soon. We’re truly loving this experience. Thank you for all the care and warmth — you’ve made such a difference in our routine!

SWIM LESSONS ONLY -

We reached out to this facility for swim lessons early this year & were told there is a waiting time for 6-8 months. However after 3 months I decided to give a call & they had availability for us. We signed up for couple classes.

Pros - The facility has 3 pools. Heated, Lap, & a learning style pool. Since we did not have any swimming experience most of our lessons were in the smaller pool & I ended up going in the Lap pool twice. Our instructor was decent. I learnt quite a bit. They are okay if you come early or stay later from your lesson slot. They also send updates if the pool is closed. Their changing rooms have a sauna.
We started a 2-1 session but our swim instructor was sharp to realize our skill levels were different & she suggested we do individual sessions & that turned out to be great advice. They do not refund what you already pay for so we had to purchase a new set of sessions but got money carried over from previous unattended sessions, which worked out for us, given that our instructor was able to take us back to back!

Cons - The Pool were always busy. What should have finished in 2 months took 3.5 months to finish bcz the of scheduling conflicts. They have a manual entry system where you get a ticket at the entrance, for your instructor to make record of the day they teach you. For whatever reason we found out we were short on one class & it took me many calls & back & forths to tell them to fix that since the manager was never reachable. Good that I made a record of each class & time we had taken! Otherwise there is nothing I can cross check it with. It was a mistaken entry, I don't see how that could happen. In the middle of everything our instructor told us she is leaving the facility & it would take time to find another instructor but couple days later she said she is continuing at the facility.
What was audacious was she told us she will write down our last session since she's going back to school. Wow! We pay for this just to read from a paper how to swim? Anyway we made some accomodations & were able to get our last session on her last day!
The changing rooms weren't the cleanest, or had the best water pressure.
Overall I wouldn't recommend, just from my experience. For the sheer amount of back & forth I had to do. I have seen other instructors were great with kids & some people who come daily just to use the heated pool!

Leaving my baby with someone else for the very first time was nerve-wracking, but from the moment I stepped into their childcare, I was completely at ease. Katherine and her team are all stars. Kind, professional, and attentive in a way that immediately builds trust. My son absolutely loves going—he lights up when he sees his friends there. No matter what mood he’s in when we arrive, I know his needs will be met with care and understanding. I’m so grateful to have found a place that feels safe and nurturing for him, and gives me peace of mind while I work out.

I am the last in our family to join the gym. I am impressed! Very clean, well stocked with towels (often warm, which is very cool). Steam room and dry Sauna offer a great recovery after a workout. It is a quite popular gym, and yet there is enough equipment for everyone. I see the classes, majority well attended, plan to try a few. Also want to give a shout out to Tyler for a great experience registering for my membership. And kudos to Jamie Hamilton, he is a very good fitness coach. He took the time to show me all the exercises, with the dos and donts– in fact, after doing those exercises, even the first time, I feel my muscle tensions melting away. Plan to make PFW part of my lifestyle. To the staff, I say, keep it up!

For us, Princeton Fitness and Wellness is hands down the best gym in Central NJ because of the excellent 2-hour/day childcare they provide members at no extra charge. Now here we are, three kids later, and though we’ve changed schools and addresses several times since we moved to the area ten years ago, one big constant has been Princeton Fitness. We just drive south now instead of north. I don't care what fancy equipment or (pricy) amenities other gyms offer because all I need is a place where I can get a solid work out in, period, while knowing my kids are in great hands and just a room away if they need me. I can actually see the childcare room from the cardio machines. Honestly, whether it's me or one of my kids who comes in a little cranky on a given day, Katherine and her colleagues Aneesha and Anu in childcare never fail to make us feel welcome ANYWAY. We also love Lisa, who used to work in childcare and still has kids chatting her up all the time at the front desk, and Fran, who teaches swimming lessons. So much gratitude for them and for Princeton Fitness for a decade of making a difference for my family.

I like this fitness center. The equipment is decent, excellent locker room facilities, including sauna and steam room.

I mainly joined because of the child care- plenty of toys, etc to entertain and everything is clean and runs efficiently. But the best part is Katherine and all the staff who are 100% attentive, have a great attitude, and are all about the kids having fun. My son loves his visits to the gym daycare and doesn’t want to leave!

UPDATE 2025 - the gym gets better and better for those of us who are constantly rehabbing. They expanded the back room behind the rowing machines with a low table to do your own PT, plenty of hand weights, bosu balls for balance exercise, added a vibration platform. In the gym, have two working Nu-Step machine although you still may need to wait while PT patients use it. Lots of new equipment for those of us who dont use free weights that much. Two arm bikes! Be sure to ask for Sue if you feel safer with a personal trainer.
UPDATE 2018 - they now have SALT WATER pools (still chlorine but a different salt, maybe Bromine?), kettle bells and fixed some of the other gripes I have about machines. They have two arm bikes and two new machines that are a tougher version of the nu-step recumbent elliptical. They have a Jacobs Ladder and cleaned up the weight room. You no longer have to provide script to hold your membership but they do charge 5$/mo fee for holds.
====I joined this center after going to the PT at the Ctr. They do NOT have salt water pools - I wish! There is a STEEP joining fee and then monthly fees after that. You do get nurse and trainer evals free every 6 weeks or so. It seems like this "gym" is an adjunct to the PT ctr. and/or the hospital, but the relationship is not clear.
The FREE classes are pretty good but one yoga instructor said "push through the pain" and obviously does not understand what yoga is. "Gentle" yoga is a joke. It would be great if they had even one yoga instructor who catered to the disabled/elderly population, but it must not be cost-effective. They have one tai chi class a week, and Feldenkrais, which is a fantastic program to help reintegrate the left and right sides of your body.
I use the recumbent elliptical and often have to wait as the equipment is shared with the rehab group, despite the fact that you are paying to use it.
Not the latest and greatest equipment. They are always fixing it. The ab crunch machine was down for 5+ weeks for repairs. They do have a good selection of machines and plenty of cardio equipment. They also have extensive free weights and may even have a few kettle bells now ... I have been asking for 3 years LOL
A good place to work out if you are concerned about cardiac issues or other health issues as there is a nurse on staff. The membership itself has onerous rules and regs that are not aimed at client retention.

Very happy with this gym so far! I joined specifically for the child care that this gym offers and the manager of the child care center, Katherine Roche, is fabulous! I don't think I would be able to get my full workouts in without her! She really understands children and how to take care of them. I drop my kids off at the child care center knowing that they will be well taken care of by her and I get a great workout in too! A win-win for me! If you are looking for a great gym that offers great child care services, then do not hesitate to join PF&W! The child care center is also very well maintained and has many different toys/books/etc. for children of different ages. Also, want to give a shout out to JP, as well! Buyer Be Ware! To cancel your membership you have to 1) cancel in person or 2) send a certified letter. There is no way to cancel online - a big hurdle to make it difficult for people to cancel. Imagine if you are a busy working parent of young children or a senior citizen for whom driving is difficult or someone who is struggling to keep up with monthly bills much less go to a gym in person to cancel a contract? What a nightmare. There is no justification for this except greed. If this clause causes you inconvenience or distress or financial harm in any way *please* take a few minutes to report this business to the Better Business Bureau, the Princeton Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce, the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs and your local congressperson. It should be easy to cancel a membership of any kind. The more citizens complain about such unfair practices the more likely such unfair practices towards consumers will become illegal in NJ State Law.

My wife and I have been members of PFW for 8 years now. The trainers are great, the facilities are clean, and the equipment is top notch. However, the childcare is truly exceptional, and my kids absolutely love Ms. Anu and Ms. Katherine! A great childcare can make all the difference for young parents, and I must say PFW is very lucky to have both Ms. Katherine and Ms. Anu, who go above and beyond in playing with the kids and doing fun arts and crafts with them.

PSA!
I had a major stroke and thankfully I survived and recovering. This is pretty serious and everyone should remember anything can happen at any time! Do NOT sign up for auto renew everywhere. Make sure there is an end date.

I am appalled at the attitude of Princeton Fitness and wellness that has refused to cancel my membership and had been renewing it at 40 percent more for several months. They expect me to come in which is impossible. This Esther lady is not ready to listen. I can’t write right now. The NJ law is either my rep I should have been able to cancel online. She refused to agree with a written law.

Be very careful. Life is very precious. Enjoy it and don’t leave this crap behind for your family to take care of.

Shame on you Princeton Fitness and wellness in skillman. I will take legal action when I’m better but buyer beware.

Our experience at Princeton fitness and wellness has been absolutely stellar. It has single handedly changed our lives. Two people that have really made this an invaluable and unparalleled experience are Bo and Anu.

Bo is kind and knowledgeable. He gave us our tour of the gym and always takes the time to guide us to appropriate equipment. Added bonus he is also an absolute wizard with our 1.5 year old daughter who loves him

The other unbelievably invaluable person is Anu from the daycare. When we drop our kids off with her to work out, not only do we feel completely at ease but she enriches our (5 year old and 1.5 year old) kids lives with arts and crafts. She is loving, kind, and our kids absolutely adore her.

Looks like there’s a pronounced split between 5 star and 1 star reviews. I guess that’s to be expected since different people have many different expectations of a gym. I’ve been a member of Princeton Wellness and Fitness for many years and I consider it to be top notch. First, it’s very welcoming. The front staff is pleasant, helpful and respectful. The gym is very clean, towels are always available and lockers are abundant. Trainers are available to help out if needed and are also very nice.

The amenities are very good. Sauna and steam rooms and an excellent aquatic area. Soap and shampoo in showers. Scales and bp cuffs to keep track of health progress. Individual TVs on most of the exercise equipment.

The GM Tony works very hard to keep things running smoothly. There was one time I witnessed an incident that necessitated ambulance assistance. The entire staff under Tony’s direction responded to the emergency in a calm, professional and helpful manner.

Lastly, the gym members are very nice. There’s a wide variety of ages and we all seem to get along. People are respectful in terms of using and sharing machines.

I’ve been retired for a year and have spent every other day at the gym and honestly have no complaints.

There doesn’t seem to be much focus on maintenance of the fitness equipment these days. Today I had to try five treadmills before I found one working. None of the ones that were not operational had any signs on them saying they were broken. Previously two treadmills just stop immediately without any warning while I was running. Have reported this to the staff, but barely got any attention.

The amenities at this facility are superb. However, their sales approach needs MASSIVE improvement. Prospects should be offered one final price instead of baiting you to agree on one monthly membership price only to switch to another and another and another until right when you're about to pay. They make sure to grab all your personal information first by having you fill out a form. We went in there expecting to pay at most $155 to sign up for two adults ($75 each), prorate of four days and one free week trial (to be discounted from the first monthly dues- what they said) including adding $60 activation fee ($30 each) promising to waive the standard $100 fee but as soon as we were about to pay, he upped the price to $240. It didn't add up. They also already had some outdated information about me which was really concerning since I've never been a member. I didn't sign up because I just know based on this experience that I would have had billing concerns down the line and I don't want to end up in court.

I love Princeton Wellness center, they really care about their members. Arthur one of the instructors of STIX class has changed my life, I had scoliosis since I was 12 and multiple surgeries and I have always being shy to practice any other exercise even though my surgeon said I could practice any sports and my body will tell me what I can and can’t do. When I met Arthur 3 years ago, during his class, he asked me if it was my first time in STIX so he could guide me, so I decided to tell him about my back problem, he asked kindly everybody in the class if we can do lower back and core exercises, in order to help me. I had an amazing experience. After practice for several months Arthur classes , I start feeling stronger, so I decide to take other classes, then I met Patty one of the instructors of body pump. I told her that I really wanted to challenge myself and practice body pump and she explained me that I didn’t need to put the weight bar on my back and how to the right way the exercises. I love it and I am getting stronger each time. Thanks for your guidance and encouragement Patti.
I recommend everyone this gym, all the staff is amazing and they really care about the well being of each member .

My experience with the center has been extremely unpleasant. In March, the aquatic manager enrolled my son in the swim team and asked me to make a full payment of the program. Unfortunately, after attending only six practices, the swim coach abruptly halted my son's sessions and suggested switching to group lessons. Regrettably, this option was not feasible for us due to scheduling conflicts. Consequently, I had no choice but to withdraw my son from the program.

Requesting a refund has become an absolute nightmare for us. Since April, I have exhausted various methods to contact the aquatic manager, including meeting her in person, sending follow-up emails, visiting the pool, leaving messages on the phone, and leaving notes at the front desk. However, despite all my efforts, I have not received a single word of response. This lack of communication has left me feeling deeply disappointed, especially considering my longstanding membership at the Princeton Fitness Center. Please stay away from this center!

Could not help. Unpleasant experience. The front desk/record keeping / customer service really need a deep review.

Don't know how hygienic it would be, specially when COVID and mask protocol just stopped few months back.
Hope management will open another center nearby

I have loved being a member of Princeton Fitness and Wellness. I used both the Princeton and the Plainsboro sites on a regular basis. The group classes are fantastic with wonderful instructors. I felt very welcomed and supported as a new member. The hot tub is AMAZING and was perfect for soaking those tired muscles. Unfortunately I have to relocate because of my job but 10/10 I would rejoin if they ever open a branch near me! Shout out to Peter Dalton for being extraordinarily helpful. Spinning with Sharon and Nancy has been the best and yoga with Jaclyn was the best. I will miss this gym so much! Can not recommend enough ❤️

This place and process is broken. I left multiple voice mails never heard back, got an email the night before asking me to confirm a a lot for the next day without any discussion around pricing and the next thing I know I am being messaged by the swim instructor confirming a time a slot without any discussion. It isn’t the instructor’s fault but the system and the person who manages this needs to do a better job of communicating with people who are actually going to be paying for those swim lessons.

The Princeton fitness and wellness Center is efficiently run. The place is kept very clean and organized, the staff is friendly as well. They have a wide variety of classes from cycling, Zumba, core training, multiple aerobic classes and strength training aerobic classes. Instructors are very good, and quite knowledgeable, they do care about the clients. In my opinion the best trainer is a lovely woman by the name of Martina. She has a masters in Physical fitness . Excellent trainer

Staff and team are rude, along with unprofessional. People will hang up on you, avoid calls, and then tell you to come into their location. I'd never recommend using them and suggest going to a more professional competitor

Joined the gym a few months ago. Enjoy the yoga and pilates classes. Steam room is good but small. Could offer more classes in early afternoon and more yoga classes throughout the week. Overall worth the money for membership.

This is a solid gym with good equipment and even some above-average amenities, like clean locker rooms with saunas and steam rooms. What is disappointing about this facility, though, is their lack of good standards of customer service. I called in January of 2021 to freeze my account for one month, asking them to call me back then and I will most likely terminate my account (due to inability to attend). By August, the gym called me to let me know that my gym balance was $45. By the time I could actually get ahold of an employee who didn't leave me on hold for 20+ minutes, it was September. The employee made no effort to clear the unjustified charge on my account, and threatened me with collections agencies if I didn't pay the balance in full. I terminated my account. Not a very nice team here, save the trainer Rob N., who is an absolute legend and whom I HIGHLY recommend! One star for management, 5 stars for Rob.

Nice gym. After many years of lite usage and membership, they had to stick us with one more month of membership fees because it is "in the contract". Should have canceled years ago...

The warm water pool is magic ! No more back pain, and no surgery. It took a few weeks for the warm water to work its magic. I have moved away to a place with no warm water pools, and my back pain has returned. The warm water (91 degrees) keeps the muscles relaxed so has not to cause further injury. Nothing better, as far as I’m concerned then a vigorous, warm water workout. It’s also a lot of fun. Miss you!

I have been training with Katie H for 9 months and could not be more pleased. She is conscientious and extremely knowledgeable. As I faced some medical issues this year, she was very supportive, introducing me on a regular basis to exercises and stretches that kept me feeling like I was improving my level of fitness.

Absolutely terrible experience. Every Sunday I pack my daughters swim bag and prepare dinner ahead of time for her and her friend to eat in the car between school and their semi-private swim classes together on Mondays. And 50% of every Monday, we pick up our daughters from school CRYING. Why? Because her teacher has cancelled yet again without notice and with a new story. And this time she has now cancelled for the whole summer with no notice. Her name is Kristen, and she seems to not have one concern regarding the level of planning and care us parents take to prepare our children for their swim classes and organize the drives between the parents every week. We signed up for 16 classes in early January with the intention of finishing before the end of the school year (we carpool our kids together from school) and now it's nearly July and we are just passed half way through.
Interestingly, they called me endlessly over the Christmas holidays to book me in for swimming but as soon as they had our money, they delayed weeks in getting us started with a coach and when we told the swim leader Alexis about our issues she did not care one bit or apologize. Nor has she found us a replacement teacher for our classes this summer. There is no excuse for this kind of total disrespect and lack of consideration for the schedules of two entire families, not to mention our heartbroken children every Monday that their class is cancelled without notice.

Do not come here if you are under 45 and plan on using free weights. Not only is every single trainer out of shape and weak (do not know why they’re trainers since none of them are in good shape and use bad form when training clients), you can’t squat or deadlift, lift heavy, or make any noise whatsoever when putting down the barbell or dumbbells on the floor. This is basically a planet fitness without the pizza Monday’s. Save your money and go to a REAL gym.

We went there for baby swimm class which was excellent. They have salt water system so the water contains less chlorine, which is important for babies. The instructor was a pro and was very nice. The group had about 10 babies (plus parents). We sang, played and learned the basics of swimming.
The change room is clean and spacious. If you want to use the lockers, don't forget to bring your padlock. There is only two family locker rooms, if you plan to use it arrive earlier. :)
More family locker room would be a good thing...
The parking lot could be a bit bigger, but after a few minutes we found a spot.

Just signed up and I've had 3 issues. Number one... The person who signed me up used the wrong name. Number 2... I was billed twice for my membership, I needed to call my bank to correct the error. Number 3... I showed up for my personal trainer evaluation and the personal trainer didn't show up and no one seemed to know what was going on. I was really excited to work out at this gem and I didn't mind and older clientele my issue is inconsistent customer service.... My nurse evaluation was awesome and I really appreciated the time that she took with me, everything else leaves much to be desired so far. I'm thinking I may end my membership before the 30 days are up.
Update!!!! So after all of the shenanigans with my initial sign up, everything has worked out. I really Like the workout plan I got from my physical trainer Mike and there are some really good classes. I like that the classes are varied so people have choices. Also I like the fact that I can go to 2 additional locations. I didn't give 5 stars because I don't think that the website is very useful. The stock photos of people looking great working out does not really reflect the actual gym And there isn't much useful information or a link for members to look up classes times and schedules. Basically the website is pretty useless. I would definitely recommend this gym but I would hope that the sign of experience for most is much better than mine. I would have liked a proper tour, I would have appreciated being shown where the bathroom is, where the classes are held... I basically was shown nothing. Otherwise, I would say go for it.

As a student who comes home for only a few months at a time, this gym is wonderful. They are always very accommodating and I have never had a problem with only getting a month or two membership at time. What I love most is I still get all the benefits (ie meeting with a personal trainer, nurse visit, etc.)!
Not to mention this is one of the cleanest gyms I have ever been to, and they have a fantastic selection of cardio machines as well as other machines.

My wife and I have been going to this gym for over a decade and I love it. It is always meticulously clean (amazingly, including the bathrooms), the equipment is always working perfectly and is routinely updated. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Over the years I have been a member at a lot of gyms and this one is by far the best. I would and do recommend this gym to everyone.

To be honest this gym feels mismanaged, it’s not very clean, and it smells a lot in locker room. The sauna has used, bloody bandage on the walls. And then there is the back office which is trying to rip you off constantly, even when you are about to become a member. It feels sketch, and they add hidden costs in the billing and in the contact, it’s not a lot but still feels really sketch.

Sigh up for membership, but doctor did not sigh the paper and told me, that can't do any activity for my condition. They took money from my credit card before all paper was finished. They told me, that they going to do the refund. It is 2 month already, still not getting any money back... Calling them and every time they told me, it is going to take 2 more days....

Nice gym but the swimming area is a mess and out of control. Way to many kid running around screaming with out parent supervision.
One swimming instructor (tall guy short hair) just screams and yells when giving the swimming lessons. The other instructor seem to teach without screaming and yelling. Very annoying when trying to relax in. The hot tub. Someone need to get this guy under control. I been a member for a few years. If this keeps up I'm out of here.
As for the overall club it nice but the associates don't manage the place well at all. They should add small signs to the cardo equipment requesting members need to wip down the quipment after using it.
Not heathy at all.

I have been a member of this gym/fitness center for many years and have found it to be a first class facility. The equipment is up to date, well maintained and CLEAN. While I have not taken many classes outside of Spinning, I see that there are numerous varied offerings and that they are popular with many members. Locker room is well kept and there are always plenty of clean towels to go around.

On the down side there have been times that I thought the steam room was set rather hot but I guess that is better than not hot enough. Also, parking can be a bit of a challenge at times but that is only because the place is popular.

Finally, I really appreciate the fact that it is more than just a gym. They truly work to help me improve my total health equation.

I'm extremely upset with the service I've had at this facility. It took 2.5 hours to get signed up. The signing up fee was 250 dollars. If that wasn't enough to make me wonder, I should have known when the nurse told me I was morbidly obese. I went to a doctor and guess what, I'm in the normal BMI range. I think women have a tough enough time with body image that a gym shouldn't make them feel even worse. They were only trying to make me feel like I needed to go to the gym or I'd have health issues. In addition, my personal trainer canceled on me 50% of the time and then got upset with me when I asked her repeatedly for my card to write on. She filed it under the wrong letter because Sc was full. Somehow that was my fault for inconveniencing her. You'd think a facility would want to help a 135 pound, 5 foot 4 inch, morbidly obese girl get into shape. I mean that is their "business" after all. After that I was pretty much done with the facility. I put my membership on hold because I was in the moving process. Then I ended up cancelling my membership because my new work pays for another gym. No one told me that I'd have to pay another month in FULL. I was under the impression it would be the 5 dollars. Not to mention I haven't touched the facility in more than 6 months. I was practically donating my money. This place is full of lies and ways to take as much money from your pocket as possible. Their perks aren't perks at all. You have to fight with the staff to get what you're paying for.

Despite keeping membership for several years period I moved to other township in NJ in last year.
I did not cancel the membership almost 12 months period. Also, I could not cancel the membership with considering down payment. So, I keep the membership as freezing membership for returning possibility. Even if stay freezing membership and/or say the cancelation the membership they charge for one months more as final fee. With according to their answer it should be charged by contract when I sign the membership contract despite how many months period stayed as membership. Please careful to decide to sign the membership. You should read every clauses of contract and how much you should be charged by them.

I went there just to use their therapy pool after injuring my knee and foot. I specifically asked them about the pool area...were there kids around, what hours, etc. I was told kids could not be members.. and they didn't have family memberships. They were not the YMCA. On occasion there might be a private swimming lesson... but that was solely one on one and not a lot of these. I was assured when there was one, they stayed in the low end of the pool away from any adult in the pool. So I paid my membership fee close to $600 and then the monthly fee of $59/month.... 75% of the time I was there, there were not just 1 kid in the pool, but a few.... and they didn't stay in one corner of the pool... they were all over. splashing you and kicking all over. Their mothers sat alongside the pool taking pictures and blocking the aisle from the pool to the locker room. I didn't go to the GYM during peak hours or on the weekends.... I went during the day. I had medically sanctioned PT in the pool where my health insurance paid $250+ each session where I had to dodge kids, and then had mothers taking pictures from the side. (yes, there is a sign saying no cell phones in the gym, but nobody tells anyone to put it away). After my PT ended .... I asked the life guards when are there no kids so I can get my PT in myself ... they didn't know, I asked the front desk... they didn't know, I called before leaving my house to see if kids were there... nobody would tell me. If you complain to the management - they tell you ... you have a problem. They say they never had anyone else complain. (They don't have any suggestion boxes anywhere in their location.... they don't invite suggestions... they don't post their rates or their policies.... they keep everything unwritten so nobody can call them on their breaking their own rules). The General Manager told me they have to cater to the members who buy the most private sessions..... so, if you are wealthy, you can buy sessions for your kids (who aren't supposed to be members in the first place) and bring them whenever you want and the instructors won't care if they ruin other adult members workouts (if those members don't buy additional private sessions - i.e. - they only want to use the gym they paid $1200+/ year to join). I went there to heal from my injuries..... Their "we don't care attitude" has not helped me in anyway. I strongly suggest anyone thinking about joining... think again... they lie to you if you have questions during the long, winded membership meeting where they make you think you are going to have hospital employees there watching you workout....... they just use the "medical angle" to sell you their membership and other gym wares. (private training sessions). They also try and tell you if you won't buy their membership that day you won't make a committed member...... now after a year there..... I would like to tell them they are not a committed Hospital affiliated Healthclub who has policies that help their members heal and get fit. They are the uncommitted ones... not me or you or anyone else who needs time to think about spending $1200+ a year on something. The Parent Company has a successful venture tying their Gyms to Hospitals throughout the State making it seem like they are superior to YMCA's or JCC's or other Healthclubs.....
