I love this gym!! Ive been a member for over 5 years . Great equipment and heavy weights for only $20 a month. Super friendly staff and great shakes It's a gym for people that like gyms.

I have been a member since 2018. I workout here at least three times a week. It is affordable and of convenience to where I live. This is a small, quiet gym to focus on my workout and rarely any "wait time" to use any machines or equipment. I have never had any issues with staff or the owners like others have in previous reviews. It is much more cleaner than some other places I've been as well.

Very unprofessional and rude receptionist. I asked her for a trainer to help me with a plan to gain weight. She started constantly telling me how tiny I am (as if I did not know that already). She also suggested that I just eat cheese and pizza and sit on the couch all day. Extremely weird experience, especially at a Gym where you would be expected to feel motivated.

Mismanaged in every way. Facilities are poorly maintained, staff are rude, unprofessional, and unapologetic. Closed without notice during normal hours regularly due to problems with the space.

I went to cancel our membership and the woman at the desk had no idea what to do. Then writes my name on a scrap paper.
3rd time this has happened and I am charged monthly. I never ever signed a membership because they offered stress-free cancellation.
Broken machines and now people never trained how to cancel.

Its a good gym with a nice staff. However, some of the machines are old and overused. It seems like they have not been renewed in years. Some machines have the grip falling off, and others are completely misaligned. WE NEED NEW MACHINES!

Compared to the Retro Fitness I usually go to in Egg Harbor Township, I was disappointed at this location. They donβt have the variety of machines like the one I usually go to. I appreciate the front desk letting me use the gym on a guest pass but I donβt think Iβll be coming back to this RF anymore. The only reason I gave them an extra star was because a song played in the gym that I was looking for for months and I had to chance to tag it.

One of the worst run franchises I have ever experienced. There management doesn't care about there clients. If you call for help the management staff will hang up on you. If you go in person they"ll tell you there is change in ownership so we can't help you. I have been a member for years, and have belonged to a lot of gyms, but this gym is a joke. Please avoid!!!!!!!

I go to the gym in the morning before work getting up at 4:30am to be at the gym by 5am...so it's very disappointing when I pull up to find out the gym is closed! Unacceptable for a business, this has happened many times over the years. Convenient location, but poor management, equipment doesn't get fixed in a timely manner, paper towels /wipes empty, spray bottles empty or broken.

Probably one of the older gyms in the area, but still the BEST!!! I have tried other gyms but i always find myself a retro Moorestown member . It is the cleanest gym that I have ever been in, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable and make the place feel like my home away from home. i am always greeted with a smile and a hello. If you are looking for a comfortable place to workout, where everyone is welcome, no matter what physical condition you are in, Retro Fitness Moorestown is the place for you. I couldn't recommend is more highly. I know that if you join, you will love it as much as I do!!

Ever since the gym shut down because of the broken heater and then reopened, it has gone downhill big time. I don't even know if there is new management in place or if everyone I see are just 'temps' from other locations. The clean wipe containers are usually empty, the hand sanitizer by the front door has been empty for at least 2 days, there are used paper towels in the cup holders of the bikes, and I never see anyone cleaning anymore. The guy who seems to be in charge told me that they are not janitors, and said people should be grateful they open the doors. I would love to say who told me that, but when I asked him his name he turned his back to me and refused to answer- told me to take it up with corporate. So I'm hoping "corporate" sees this.
Previous management was always keeping the place clean and always smiled and greeted you and said good bye, whole different atmosphere.
I'm paying to go to a clean gym with working equipment, last week none of the TV's worked on any of the treadmills i tried (at least 5 of them). People behind the desk do nothing but look at their phones.

This gym has consistently gone down hill. Ownership should be ashamed.
Added after Retro's response: 12/4/18 - I have continually attempted to reach out off line. You do not return phone calls, your mailbox for voicemail has been full for months. I have contacted the corporate offices via phone and called ABC Financial multiple times. I canceled my membership in September and I am still being billed and showing as active in your system. I only rated your gym one star because ZERO was not an option.

It's clean, the machines I enjoy are always available (or the wait is very short), the variety of equipment is everything I could want, and the staff is very friendly--always a warm greeting. Really a great value with the right amenities for anyone who wants to get a solid workout.

And the best just keeps getting better!!! New Manager is nothing short of AMAZING!!! Dawn keeps the place clean and running to perfection. New Classroom is a great addition, and the training staff has gotten me into the best shape of my life. Who says you can't teach a old dog new tricks. By far the best and cleanest health club I have ever been in. The staff is very friendly and attentive. There's more equipment here then most club so there is never a wait to use anything. The equipment is well maintained and never down for more than a day if it needs repair. I would highly recommend this club to anybody who wants a great gym at a great price.

Like this place a lot. Its more a dudes gym than a fancy place. Staff and patrons are cool. Some stuff could use an update but at least its chill. No one bothers you. Never very busy. If you dont know anything staff and people who go always are there to help.

My account was freeze for 3 month and they continue to charge my account.
Don't signup for Long Term Membership They will charge your account.
I am going to write to corporate even though my account is freeze why did you get continue to charge my account.
I signed up for 12 month membership and some reason I could not able to go to the gym and after 6 month I visited only three to four times. I asked them to close the account and they denied they can't do that I said I could not able to use it. that;s fine they offered me to freeze your account option and I said ok freeze it for 3 months but still they are continuously charging the amount. Don't signup for long term if you are not going to use it and if you want to cancel the account It's very painful and they are not going to do it.
When I asked about why did you continue to charge my account and Dawn Doherty Owner/Manager at Retro fitness at Moorestown, NJ said that It's billing department did it and she was asking for $5 per month extra fee for freeze the account I was like why did not write that in the document and talked to me when I freeze the account. I have the document.
When I asking about why did you charge my account even though it's freeze for 3 months. Instead of apologizing she was rude and wanted some more money on this location.
Lesson Learned if you are not going to use your membership don't sign up for 1 year contract and second thing is never leave credit card with these people they will continuously charge your account until you notice it after few months back.

They are completely awful. Stole over 200 dollars and took 3 months to reinburst me. AWFUL. I SIGNED UP for a trainer and they gave me someone who wasnt even certified! I wasnt even aware until they fired him. But did I get my money back? NO. CRINCH PR EDGE ARE. SO MUCH BETTER.

People are friendly. But owner does little to keep up with the gym as the heat stops working during the winter. The air condition unit does the same. The front desk doesn't keep up with who comes in the gym so theft happens 2-3 days a week.. if a machine breaks it's down usually 2 weeks to 6 months.. half the treadmills work and they have 1 stair master

Why are 8 plates on the bench, every single machine basically. Everyone leaves weights and doesn't while down anything. Management directs culture I've seen their own employees do it get told by customers to fix and get chastisized. 2 stars cause I like location

I hate this 18 year old 9 o'clock rule. I love to workout late at night because it it much less crowded, but at this retro, I can't go whenever I want. Iv been to four different gyms and none of them have any rule like this. However a pro is that the shakes at retro are pretty good, with so many different flavors.

Pros: good amount of equipment, I guess.
Cons: dirty sometimes, AC is only used on "major holidays". With around 90 degrees outside it is usually impossible to workout.

Not only was I told false information from the previous manager, but I had a large charge on my account due to information falsely provided. Retro Fitness as a company should take responsibility for previous employees. I don't recommend any retro fitness membership.

I would give this gym negative stars if possible. The gym is filthy and the staff are the laziest people I have ever encountered. The air conditioning system is broke in this gym so on hot days this place is a sweat box. Very disgustingly hot. Why would any pay to exercise in a building that is 90 degrees inside? The germs from all the nasty sweat from the nasty users in this gym that don't clean up after themselves. No thanks, cancel my membership.

By far the worst retro I've been too. A decent amount of the equipment is broke or near broke. No one really racks the weights or cleans up after them selves. On my most resent trip I left covered in the brown sticky goo from the machines, which generally smell used. I kept giving this place a chance out of convenience but I will not be going back. There wasn't even anyone at the front desk when I went in last time. Not a staff member to be found. I suggest taking the ride to cherry Hill or another retro before going here

I have been a member of Retro Moorestown, for three years now and I am completely happy with my move to this gym.
The owner makes sure the gym is kept clean, current and in good repair. Always offering new classes, equipment and "extras".
I came from Bally's and it was like night and day. It is an effort for me to work out, but I actually enjoy it here.
They are extremely responsive to all of your needs and you can get so much more out of this facility than others I have been to.

Over the years this gym has just gotten better and better. It's so much more than you would expect for only $20 a month. First of all its clean -very important to me. The staff is always helpful and super friendly and they have perfected the art of smoothie making. The group classes are so fun, you actually WANT to go to the gym. There's so much variety with the classes and equipment - not just machines and weights, but a spin room, medicine balls, kettle bells, punching bags. Plus I hear they're gonna have nutrition seminars now so it just overall offers so much for so little. It's really the perfect gym whether you're just starting out or a dedicated gym rat.

This gym is dirty, bathrooms are filthy.
Been a member of other Retro Fitness gyms in the area and this is the most unsanitary.
However, as a gym, this one is better, and has better equipment than most others. You can't beat the price either...
