The most amazing staff and as a mother of two children (2 c sections) - there are no words to describe the confidence and strength both mentally and physically I got from strength training. Shaun and Roxanne are amazing and allow you to acheive any goal. When you choose to work hard, they work harder with you! Wonderful staff!

They have a lot of equipment that is out 9f order for weeks at a time. The equipment could use some updating. Just the basic machines. The equipment is not that of keeping up with the times.

This happened to me 4th time now that I went to the gym at 5.30 AM and the gym is closed. It is such a disappointment. Have already complained about this in the past but seems like they are really not concerned about people coming in early morning. Overall the gym is very good. Equipments are new and staff is helpful. But what's the point of all of that if it doesn't open on time.

This is 2nd time in this winter season they are closed. There are supposed to open at 5 but it’s 5:37 and they yet to open. This is becoming frequent specially in morning hours. Management must do something.

Terrible gym. Bait and switch with contracts. They reserve the right to change anything and everything in the contract, including the price! Stay far away from this gym.

Just stopped by for a quick workout at random, retro after work and this retro is very nice and clean, and it was actually empty when I was there from 10am-12pm...... I will definitely visit again when in the area.

This Retro is one of the Best in North Jersey , it’s clean and all the equipment is working. The new manager is on top of every detail. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The Protein drink bar is always stocked and the staff make the shakes perfect. Rated AAA.

Currently a member of retro fitness in Parsippany. Not happy at all, it continues to get worse. Broken equipment, dirty both the equipment and locker room. Now back to them not opening the doors on time. I'm currently waiting in my car for someone to show up and open. After an hour and a half decided to leave.

I took my concerns to the new manager and he did everything in his power to make right by the situation. He was very attentive and took the situation very serious and was apologetic about my time being wasted. Hopefully this is the start to much better gym experience with retro of Parsippany.

Good clean equipment. Really no complaints about it except not a fan of having the fans running full blast while I'm trying to work up a good sweat. Some people rather the coolness, but if your there to workout I rather my muscles warm then cold. Personal preference. Needs a tire to flip!!!

Aweful!! They are trained to keep on charging your account despite your decision to discontinue. The rules that they have set up around membership is vague. Try talking to 2 different person at desk and you might hear 2 different sets of rules because they are themselves confused!! They took 1 month fee from me because they said they didn’t receive the notice for certain ‘x’ number of days. I complied respecting their policies but even next month my bank sends me notification that they have charged my account!! What is that for? They apologized when I called them and said that they will refund me back. Then started the series of follow ups - and with every call the response became harsh! 1 fine evening I just went to them to get my money when they said the owner has not yet approved the refund!! What does that mean? How can you “approve” giving “my money” back to me? I was adamant to get my money back that day since I was really tired of the follow-ups. Finally they had to give it. I had been a happy member of plaent fitness in the past and going back to them. If you decide to continue with them for a long term, go ahead because the trainers and equipments was never been a problem, problem is the Greedy Management. If you know it’s going to be a short term affair and you don’t like giving up your hard earned money look elsewhere!!

We’ve been members for several years and love this Retro location. The equipment is updated periodically and more importantly it is cleaned regularly. The staff always smiles and greets you when you arrive and the owner is hands-on, often helping the staff move and clean the equipment. This is in stark contrast to the Wall, NJ Retro location which is filthy.

I’d a membership for over a year now and cancelled my membership on October 9th and Arun Datwani sent a “one word” confirmation as “done” when I asked to cancel my membership.

They charged me two months even after I cancelled my membership, when I asked why, he just replied this will Be your last payment in another just one line reply and this email response irritates me.

They can’t even send a proper email!!! Better join blink fitness or elsewhere.

You never know when you’ll opt out for various reasons and these guys won’t help you at that time and you end up paying for a service that you don’t use. I’ll give a zero rating for retro fitness Parsippany.

I call to cancel a membership for my father and a man named Gary had a huge attitude, and was extremely rude to me and my father, saying and accusing him that when he came one time to cancel it in person that he cursed him out. absolute horrible customer service. Never in my life with I recomend someone to go to this gym.

My one year contract was over three months ago but they were still taking money off my account and refuse to give me back. When I called them they told me that I have to pay an additional month fee just to cancel the monthly recurring that I didn't even sign up for. So now I'm out more than $135 and didn't even go to gym.

My only gripe was the smell/mustiness in the locker room. Well the owner (Gary) contacted me to my surprise and stated they were taking care of it. I go at lunch time and always have access to what i need. I enjoy working out here.

Since starting my membership at Retro I've encountered nothing but problems. Upon signing up, they signed me up for a VIP membership without my knowledge. As my contract was coming to a close I had already paid in full and had approached multiple staff members to make sure my account would be closed at the years end. A month later I'm getting letters in the mail for missed payments and the manager told me that just because staff members told me my account would be closed didnt actually mean they woukd do it. Apparently I was supposed to sign a paper cancelling their automatic renewal but each staff member had conveniently left this information out so they could continue to bill me. Now they still wont let me cancel my membership until I pay for a month, a late fee, and an extra month. The staff is extremely rude and clueless. Biggest scam of a business I have ever seen.
