Sana Yoga is one of my favorite places to reset. I go to both locations, but the New Providence studio will always be special since it’s the original. The space is always clean, the staff is so kind, and the energy is one of a kind. I really enjoy the Yin and Sana Power classes. It’s a welcoming, judgment-free space where everyone can move and breathe at their own pace. Highly recommend!

I’ve been attending classes here for nearly two years and each class is exactly what your spirit, soul and body need. Every time you step into Sana Yoga you are immediately immersed in laughter, good energy, inspiration for starting fresh and community. Viv, and her team of rockstar instructors, have cultivated a unique and sacred space that allows all to practice in their own way. As someone who has experienced many different teaching types and studio atmospheres, I can say - with no hesitation -that Sana Yoga is truly a special studio.

Sana yoga has a very special place in my heart 💕 Viviana has created such a beautiful, safe space and has been like a mentor to me for many years now, I can’t express how grateful I am for her! I am so happy she has created sana yoga to build a community based on uplifting one another and letting everyone’s light shine through.
Viviana has an amazing team of instructors (herself included) and each teacher brings something unique, yet they all share the same deep knowledge, kindness, and genuine passion for guiding you through your practice. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced yogi, they meet you where you are without judgment and with full support.
After every class, I leave feeling lighter, stronger, and more grounded. This studio has become a sanctuary for me, and I recommend it to anyone looking for more than just a workout, it's an experience that nourishes you inside and out 💕🦋

From the moment I walked in, I felt completely at peace. The energy in this studio is calm, grounding, and so welcoming. Every detail—from the soothing lighting to the thoughtfully curated decor—creates an environment that instantly puts you at ease.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for a serene, supportive, and beautiful environment to practice yoga. It’s more than a studio—it’s a healing experience.

I’ve been to plenty of hot yoga studios and Sana Yoga is different, they really let you be authentically yourself. When you step into the studio, you’re greeted by the instructor and there’s absolutely no judgement. If you can’t do a pose, they’ll provide modifications. If you want a challenge, they’ll help you get there. I can’t express enough how incredible this studio is, I feel lighter and stronger after every class. And my favorite part is every instructor is different but the vibe is always the same. ♥️

I attended a class where filming was taking place, and the experience left me feeling deeply uncomfortable. There was no announcement or explanation at the start of class about the recording, which created confusion and disrupted the sense of safety and focus I expect in a yoga space. Yoga is often a place people come to escape, process emotions, or simply find stillness, so transparency is essential, especially when something like filming is involved.
It’s not just about discomfort. For some students, having their image shared online could create a genuinely unsafe situation. While I later learned the filming was meant to focus only on the instructor, that was never clarified during class, and the uncertainty made it hard for me to participate in the way I would have liked.
When I calmly expressed after class that the filming made it hard to stay grounded, the instructor responded by telling other students that “we have to promote ourselves” and “show us teaching real people,” instead of acknowledging my concern. I also noticed I was the only person not asked how I felt about the class during check-ins. At the end of class, the instructor took photos of students while they were resting with their eyes closed, and only afterward asked another person for consent to post one. That entire moment felt performative and directed at me, as if to prove a point after I voiced discomfort. But asking for consent to post a photo after it’s already been taken is not the same as asking for consent to take it in the first place. At the end, when the instructor asked another student for consent to post the photo, she turned to me and said, “See, I ask people who took my class for consent,” in a tone that felt pointed and dismissive.
What made the situation even more frustrating was the business’s response to my feedback. Rather than taking accountability or acknowledging how disrespected I felt, their reply focused on justifying their actions and pointing out what they believed they had done right. It came across as defensive and dismissive, and ultimately left me feeling like my experience didn’t matter.
Everyone attending a class deserves to feel safe, respected, and equally considered, regardless of how long they’ve been coming. Based on the way this situation was handled, both in the moment and afterward, I most likely will not be returning to this studio.
*Update*
I originally left this review because I had an uncomfortable experience in class, specifically around filming, which was not clearly communicated beforehand. I didn’t feel the clarity or care I’d expect from a consent-based, respectful yoga environment.
After the owner publicly responded, I had hoped to reach out privately to clarify and engage in a thoughtful conversation, especially since it seemed like there may have been misinterpretations on both sides. Unfortunately, I discovered I had been blocked by the studio on Instagram shortly after leaving my review, a move that speaks volumes. It made it clear they are not open to any direct communication or resolution, despite how their response may appear publicly. To be clear, I had only followed their account and never left any negative comments or sent direct messages. I had no intention of attacking them online.
My experience was so negative that I actually paused my ClassPass membership
and only recently saw their reply. ClassPass doesn’t allow updates or replies, so I’ve brought my full experience here.
Don’t let the studio’s polished response fool you. This space does not seem equipped to handle discomfort, feedback, or genuine dialogue in a professional way. My experience, both during class and after, made it clear that this studio values image over accountability.

I’ve been working out for a long time and most places you go in, do your thing and leave. Here you immediately feel part of something bigger, kinder, encouraging, genuine and real. The owner Viv is incredibly appreciative and thankful for this growing community. Those who enter leave knowing they just experienced something special. Love Sana and the come as you are community!

I’ve been practicing yoga at Sana since October 2023. From the moment I entered the space I knew it was different from other studios. Everyone I’ve met, the instructors who teach, and the feeling the space gives have provided me with a sense of belonging. The owner, Viviana, does an amazing job of making the classes real - real life, real music, real stories. She allows anyone practicing to be themselves - go at their own pace, be who they are, find peace being in their mat. More recently she started offering yoga to those at home through video link, this has given those students traveling or unable to make it to the studio a chance to practice wherever they are. Viviana has created a community that I am so grateful to be a part of.

I just have to share how incredible Viviana's studio / yoga class is. The class was genuinely moving for me — not in a cliché way, but in a deeply personal way that I really needed. I felt something shift during the session, and I knew I wanted to write about how much it meant to me before the class even ended. The energy she brings is so special, and I’m so happy I got the opportunity to attend — it was my favorite yoga class I've ever been to, with the best energy and also a perfect heat level — her class commentary is spot on. I left with a uniquely red sage stick (she sells cool tchotchkes in the lobby) to keep the good vibes close. Thank you Viviana / Sana for such an amazing experience. And thank you for encouraging feeling and healing!!! You've started something amazing, and thank you for sharing it with us all.

I went to Sana Yoga in New Providence for the first time and it was truly an amazing experience. Everyone was very welcoming, and Viviana the owner, is truly inspiring. The class she held did not feel like just a class it felt like true healing. I will definitely be going back and would recommend it. Can’t wait to visit the location in Union.
The studio is adorable and has a nice vibe and really cute tops etc.
Had to get some merch as well! Thank you.

Sana Yoga and the Sana community are everything I’ve been looking for in a studio. Viviana and all of the amazing instructors bring such positive energy and vibes each practice (in addition to amazing playlists)! As soon as you walk through those doors, you are welcomed with smiles. Throughout the practice, the positive affirmations painted on the walls of the beautiful space complement the messages/theme of the class. They offer every kind of class - Power, Slow, Sculpt, Yin. They also offer various workshops and other fun events! I am so grateful for the peace and confidence that I’ve gained both on and off the mat thanks to Sana.

I have been practicing yoga for 20 years and been to many studios. However, this may be the first time I feel like I found my happy place. Viviana, the owner, is amazing and made me feel right at home. I treat practicing at Sana as if it was my job :) that I love so much. I have practiced with almost all of the instructors at Sana and they all have a unique and special way of teaching but all of them sincerely care and make it so much fun. I hope to be practicing there for many years to come.

Sana Yoga embodies its name, “heal,” creating a truly inviting and warm (seriously, cozy warm) studio.
Experience an intense workout, drenched in sweat, alongside ceaseless smiles. (I am kidding) you’re going to want this!!
Upon entry, you’re greeted by hellos all around, fostering a sense of community. Viviana, the owner, exudes her own unique vibe - welcoming, friendly, and deeply committed to this community.
Her motivational quotes adorn the walls, serving as constant reminders, providing comfort and inspiration. Every corner echoes with uplifting words.
Recently, I joined Erica’s sculpt class, and it exceeded all expectations. Em’s guidance, inspiration, and playful cues bring smiles even during the toughest moments. Witnessing such kindness during and after a class is truly remarkable. I felt nurtured and embraced, as if part of a family. Grateful to Viviana and Erica - ¡mil gracias!
Con amorsito!
Yaya xo!
