Hello readers, please take the time to read this review about this disgusting facility. I’ve been looking for a new spot to go after i’ve moved closer to the edison/metuchen area. I used to go to the wall super dome spot. I just want to say this place is disgusting. I have seen little mice running around this place. Not once not twice but on several occasions. And i’ve mentioned it to the workers at the front counter and one of them shrugged his shoulders and giggled at me and said “i just work here but i will let the manager know.” Crazy how you guys can sell snacks, food, etc with rats running around your place , without informing the regular customers that you have coming in and out the door every single day that there are mice and rats running around. Not to mention the little kids who are there who don’t know that either.

You go to use the restrooms and it’s always smelling like garbage in there, one of the stalls is always clogged, one of the urinals are always out of service, so in a facility that holds maybe around 300 people, you only have 2 workers stalls? But very quick to take customers money when it’s time to pay dues. How about you use some of that money and update your maintenance so customers don’t feel uncomfortable and disgusted trying to use the bathroom. All this money can’t afford to pay someone to take care of maintenance or you guys simply don’t care about your customers and just want their money???

Another thing i’ve been there for basketball pick up and many other occasions and on a couple of the workers i’ve smelt alcohol on their breathe. And i even told my colleague that and he went up to the same two people, and confirmed with me that they are 100% drinking on the clock. Maybe the management team or even the owner should check the cameras and they’d see their workers getting drunk on the clock. Oh wait they can’t check them because, my friend got his car hit couple months ago in the parking lot, and he filed a complaint to front desk team and managers and they told him, “cameras don’t work” so i guess they have camera’s there just to pretend and show that they have them for display. Great work Sportsplex. This place is a complete joke, clearly they are there for the paycheck and for taking customers money without fixing any of the necessities that a working facility that is 7 days running should have.

Another thing in the summer time forget even walking in those doors. The A/C hasn’t worked for 3 summers and counting. I’ve complained and so have my friends and they just tell us it’s being handled. But again 3 summers and nothing has been done. God forbid i am playing pick up and i faint from heat exhaustion because they do not care for customers well being. Not to mention as well the terrible odor of sweat because there is no circulation in that facility what so ever. What are they going to tell someone if they faint because they can’t maintain their own A/C system? Wonder what will happen then.

This place is the go to for Soccer! The staff here are extremely nice and the fields are also really good. One of my senior friends kicked his ball into the ceiling by accident but the staff was nice enough to get it down with an escalator. Really appreciate the extra effort. Heavily recommend!

First time visiting played volleyball last Wednesday night got there a little early walked around Facil are clean up-to-date. It was a pretty active night with rollers skaters soccer players volleyball players bathrooms were clean. Staff was very helpful and I’m grateful to the person who gave me a little bag of icefor my twisted ankle. Parking was a little bit of a challenge but a lot was very well lit. I’ll be back.

👍🏼 Lo bueno: tiene dos canchas de fútbol grandes, una de básquet, dos de voley y una cancha más chica de fútbol. Esta última tiene la particularidad de que no tiene líneas limitantes, por lo que la pelota no se va nunca y siempre se mantiene en juego, sumando una vuelta de rosca al partido que resulta muy entretenido. El complejo es completamente techado y acondicionado.

Family oriented fun place to take the kids roller skating for a couple hrs. No stress on being a great skater, everybody feels welcome no matter the level of skater you are. Jackie, a coach there, is pretty amazing and great with kids. Offers help on the floor for everyone a d helps everyone just have a good time in between falls..lol

Terrible place for playing pick up basketball, plays favorites with the people they are familiar with, a lot of people don’t pay and when you come in and pay and have a horrible experience they refuse to give your money back, they have “open gym” but allow ppl to rent out courts and overcrowd one court of 30 people will not be coming back here, and wouldn’t suggest anyone waste their time or money.

While the place serves as a basic ground for sports, it is just bad for parents who want to use the waiting time for anything productive. The service providers don't even provide a basic free Internet and while you can be use your hotspot the signals aren't great either. Amongst other concerns raised by others which require a serious amount of money, providing a free Internet seems like a easy and fix thing to setup. This just goes on to say the callousness of the owners and the tenants in the facility.

This place is outdated but serves its purposes. Lots of families on weekends. Kids play have fun and leave. Hopefully they upgrade this place at some point. It’s chaotic on weekends, but if you got kids, then you already know what to expect.

They cancel the Soccer classes anytime per their convenient and just drop a mail not even 24 hrs before the classes.. unprofessionalism and improper planning..

The coordinator told that most parents don’t check their emails daily and hence they send it just a day in advance ; in that case shouldn’t they should send a mail well in advance ? Isn’t that’s contradicting their own statement ..

The soccer class lacks structure and proper coaching. The coaches seem unprepared, with no clear curriculum or focus. It feels more like casual playtime rather than a serious effort to teach skills, especially on indoor courts. It’s more akin to a daycare session for an hour.

If you’re seeking a disciplined environment with real encouragement and skill-building, this may not be the right choice. However, if your goal is simply to keep your child engaged and entertained for an hour, it could be suitable.

I bring my kids here for skating. The facility is absolutely FILTHY! Like so bad that it’s gotta be considered a biohazard. The bathrooms are disgusting! The children that they employ couldn’t care any less.

So much potential, but terrible execution. The bathrooms are always disgusting, one of the urinals in the men's restroom has been covered up in a trash bag for months now, and best of all they never have paper towels in the dispenser. The so called "Snack Shack" or whatever they named it has not opened once this entire year and I can count on my hands the amount of times its ever been opened, period. Its a huge waste of space; I assume management doesn't want to pay a high schooler to sit there and sell snacks when they can just do it from the front desk, where the front office kids love to watch videos on their phones all day.

The facility is always dirty, full of trash, water spills, turf and black pegs from the fake soccer fields. There is hardly anyone ever at the front desk when you need them and they mostly hire high school kids who have zero customer service skills.

There are children running in the hallways and throwing balls around all over the place with no parents in sight, nor the staff enforcing their "No Ball Playing in the Hallways" signs that they posted up. When you tell them they just shrug it off and say "ok" or "thanks for letting me know" and do nothing.

Open Gym is a disaster and staff are not clear as to when you're allowed to stay on, or which courts you need to be on because of a rental coming in suddenly. Parking has always been a nightmare here, but it has gotten 10x worse now that they decided to cut the parking lot in half in order to build a--wait for it.... Preschool. Yup, a preschool where the parking lot used to be, right next to a sports complex full of adults that get rowdy at times. They also have the audacity to now close off the back parking lot exit due to construction of a Starbucks that is coming next door. Yeah, that's definitely going to help the SportsPlex's parking situation.

I go only for roller skating. Place is in need of a deep cleaning and very much renewing all the areas. This place is overwhelmingly soccer/football friendly; but also has some of the rudest people when it comes to switching between sports use on their limited, non-soccer courts. Sportsplex could've built additional courts but turns out it's a preschool building now on site. Parking can be a hassle but probably the least problematic thing at this site.

They allow kids to do practice of soccer and basketball in hallways. No one from front desk even bother about it! Coach also does not stop those kids.

Called the morning of to check for open basketball courts. I was told there no league and it was open. Went there at 11am and a volleyball league going on and was told come by at 8pm... Poor customer communication and service. I'd recommend you triple check their schedule and to what the front desk says.

The fields look like they need refreshing. You can't see the goal line on the indoor soccer field and there is not a lot of seating. Very small bleacher & too close to the wall for anyone bigger then a child to sit in the first row. A bit pricey but the only place like this around. And they have a small parking lot. Looks like they are expanding & took out a good portion of their parking lot.
