Can I just say that everyone should lift weights and do cardio? If you wonder why, then read Outlive. It’s urgent.
Well, it convinced me to ditch my lifelong sedentary lifestyle. I started running in May but had mild knee pain. Once my race ended, I began strength training here consistently. It’s been a month and I no longer feel any knee pain. Amazing! Now I’m training for a half next year because TBT enabled me to build the foundations to go for it.
The coaches here are doing truly amazing things. They encourage us to lift as heavy as we can and make sure we do them in the right forms. Tariq’s been so patient in correcting my forms that I’m finally no longer intimidated by anything in class. Cliff is total boss. He sets the tone and makes sure we don't slack off and I only wish I have that in my work life too as I work for myself.
The sessions are well-thought-out with a mix of warm-up cardio, weightlifting and plyometrics. And they often don’t repeat even for the same session type and that keeps it fun to say the least.
I love TBT and I hope more people make it part of their life routine.

I just finished 3 classes for $30 promotional deal. Classes are 1 hour long with heavy focus on conditioning, strength and functional training. In just those 3 classes, I can see with continued training, my body would see an increase in tone and definition. The setting is darkened to focus on you and what’s in front of you: the workout. The music is great without being too loud (note to other gyms) is a good mix of R&B ie Ciara, Usher so it complements the workout really well. Overall, with so much focus on building and preserving muscle, this gym offers just that along with core training as well.

It's been 4 months since I started at TBT and I absolutely love it. In just this short period of time, I've lost noticeable amount of weight, toned up, and I feel fitter overall. The classes are structured so that it's intense but doable at any level. As a result I'm consistent with my workouts which is something I've always struggled with in the past. I also love the community they've built, with fun challenges and group chats where a lot of education happens on nutrition and fitness overall. Every coach here is fantastic, they are high energy motivators, but kind and friendly, and they really care about individual progress. Even in group class settings I feel like I get individual attention to make sure my form is correct and I'm pushing myself. Highly recommend TBT to anyone who is considering a fitness program that yields results!

So I found this gym during my search for gyms and I liked how there is 0 commitment. I feel $25 a class is very fair since you can schedule it to your liking. They also have packages available currently where you can sign up for class packages. What I liked was how the trainer Tariq knew I was new and he was able to assist and adjust the workout for me. He gave me plenty of attention and made sure I was comfortable since I haven't been to the gym in years. Time in class goes by quick. I'm happy I found TBT. I already signed up for more classes. Try them out. Won't regret.
TBT is your gym if you want a great hour long workout. I love it !
--Just wanted to update my review. It's been a year since I've been going to TBT and boy has it been a journey. I've learned in the year that I've attended the members end up becoming your friends and you just cheer each other on during your journey of being active and coming to the gym. The trainers are fantastic!!! You have to be willing to put in work to see the results. What you put out is what they will give. The coaches seriously care about you but you have to be vocal in asking for help if you are not sure on how to do something. They will show you and guide you but you have to ask!! They took a shy girl like me and turned me into someone more confident and I blab my mouth away at the gym. Seriously if you're looking for an awesome place to workout for an hour and sweat TBT is your place !! Give it a try!!! You won't go back!

I can’t recommend this fitness studio enough! From the moment I joined, I felt welcomed and motivated by both the staff and other members. Workouts are a great cross between cardio and lifting. I have gotten stronger while keeping my heart rate up. Knowledgeable staff mixes it up to avoid overfatigued muscles and allow you to keep working out through the class.
Did the Macro Challenge. Great community and guidance from staff and members. I lost around 6 lbs in a month without losing muscle mass. Built good habbits that I hope to incorporate into my everyday life.

I have been going to TBT since it opened in Fort Lee as PRX before the pandemic. This is my second home, the first group of people I see first thing in the morning. The classes are full of energy. TBT is my home ❤️ I moved back to Jersey after the pandemic had settled down and was feeling a bit lost with my fitness since everything I knew was in the city.
I started at TBT just to try it out one Sunday and have been committed for almost 2 years. The trainers and staff there are amazing - they’ve helped to transform my body besides just getting a workout in like correct form, eating habits, helping to figure out what works for me and what doesn’t, and analyzing my body metrics beyond the number on the scale.
TBT also has a sense of community - the members are all one team and push each other to go and take classes together. No other place I have been had that.

I live about an hour away and originally signed up for their challenge to support a friend after almost a year at another gym. It started out as just 1 challenge and it led to 10. I not only lost the most body fat, gained the most muscle but the community and staff at TBT opened up a different level for me mentally and a love for fitness. I joined TBT in September 2023 after 9 months of waiting for my body to change from diets, supplements ( lots of supplements) and the same old cardio-forward workout. Fast forward to January 2024 and I am starting this year off strong- down inches, down weight and down body fat. The trainers are knowledgeable, friendly and supportive. Less of a treadmill workout and more of a dumb bell repetition lifting. I would called it a cross fit feel. Yes they have the ropes. You book their classes through The mind and body app.

I was walking down the street and decided to walk into TBT on a whim :) Cliff (the owner) was so warm and inviting and gave me a very helpful introduction to the gym and programming. I decided to join in on an evening class and was not disappointed! Malik was the trainer and he gave very clear instructions and feedback throughout the hour long class. The class I took was 60 minutes of total body fitness activities (kettlebell swings, ab roll outs, squats, weighted lunges, bicep curls, etc.)—it was challenging, but with the energy of Malik cheering us on and the music and smiles from other people in the room, we all made it through! If you’ve gotten this far in reading this review, you should definitely check them out :)) I’ll definitely be going back!!

Classes are tough but fun and the trainers + staff are friendly. Right now I'm on the 30 for 30 (unlimited classes for 30 days) promotion and likely to sign up for a membership here afterwards 😁 not sure if this is premature, but last I took my measurements (July) and since taking the classes here (September now), I lost an inch off my waist.
[Update February 2022] still attending the gym on an unlimited membership plan and waist is still down by 3-4 inches. I plan on sticking around! 💪

A trainer made unwanted physical contact with me while in a private training session and an owner failed to repay a business loan I extended over 3 years ago.
