The Volt Climbing Gym is hands down one of the best climbing gyms I’ve ever visited! The staff is super friendly, welcoming, and always willing to give tips no matter your experience level. The routes are creative, challenging, and regularly updated, so there’s always something new to try.

The facility itself is spotless, well-lit, and has a great variety of walls for both beginners and advanced climbers. I especially appreciate how safe and supportive the environment feels—it’s the perfect place to push yourself while having fun.

Whether you’re brand new to climbing or a seasoned pro, Volt is the kind of place that makes you want to come back again and again. Highly recommend!

Considering the space I'm impressed with what they've done here. The artwork gives us a fun vibe. I've got to say the rules the labeling and the way the place is run is fantastic. There is also a ping pong table, yoga studio space and work out equipment for those who don't want to climb. I'll add more pictures next time I go, but there's a wheelchair ramp and it's the only rock gym I've seen with one.

The staff is incredibly friendly, patient, and encouraging — whether you’re a total beginner or an experienced climber, they make you feel comfortable right away. The facility is super clean and well-maintained, with a great variety of climbing walls and routes for all skill levels. I love how they change up the routes often, so there’s always something new to try. It’s also a fantastic spot for group events or just a fun workout. I always leave feeling challenged, accomplished, and excited to come back. Highly recommend!

A great addition to the town where you can go for a date night or bring your kids for a fun time! It might become your new fav hobby like it did for me. The staff and regular climbers I've met are so friendly and helpful. They do a great job catering to both new and experienced climbers. Plus they host a lot of classes/events for community building. I only wish I was introduced to rock climbing sooner 🙌🏼

Great climbing gym with quality routesetting for adults and kids. New holds, so get ready for a little ✨exfoliating✨. Sparkling clean (by climbing gym standards, you'll never 100% remove chalk 😝). Kilter wall, spray wall, campus and hang boards, fitness room, and yoga classes. 10/10!

We went to this new rock wall with our kids and their friends during Easter long weekend. It was the first rock climbing experience for most of them! They did 1.5 hour group parties with staff belay with Emily. Super professional and kids friendly. A large collection of fun climbing area for the young climbers at the back. The staff there was very patient from checking in, fitting in shoes, and providing a really fun experience to the five girls for 1.5 hours! They didn’t want to go home at the end of the session. Highly recommend this place for kids or go as a family!

A rock climbing center has finally opened near my home, and the experience has been amazing! The location is very convenient, easy to get to. The space inside is spacious and bright, with a lively atmosphere. The climbing walls are designed with variety, catering to both beginners and advanced climbers.
In addition, the center is equipped with a small gym, a yoga room, and a ping pong table,so it’s not just for climbing; you can also enjoy fitness and other recreational activities.
I highly recommend it!

LOVE this place! As climbers with no nearby gym, my husband and I were absolutely thrilled when the Princeton Gravity Vault opened! There are always good routes in a variety of styles so no matter what you’re working on, you can always find a fun problem, and the gym is clean, welcoming, and deeply community-oriented.

This ambience is not incidental—the staff clearly work hard to foster community at the gym. There are tons of opportunities for climbers at all levels to learn (kids classes, belay classes, lead classes) and to socialize. Recently, I got to connect with some awesome climbers at Ladies’ Night (super fun)! I’m also a HUGE FAN of their YOGA CLASSES! Yoga is a great complement to climbing and there are a range of classes which are approachable for climbers looking to expand and strengthen their physical practice. I go to the Vinyasa Flow on Wednesdays -- fast-paced and smooth, these classes have been a great way to help me rebuild strength and stability in the wake of recovering from an injury, and I learn something new every time! 10/10 recommend.

Well maintained facility. Prices are quite a bit high compared to elsewhere. Maybe at least shoe rental could be included with the day pass to make it more economical. Facility was nice and had plenty of options/routes, but is restricted as classes are needed to use the belaying section. First time going and most likely my last as the pricing is not really worth it. It was $35 for essentially an hour worth of climbing.

This place rocks! Between the bouldering, ropes, and kilter board there is something for everyone. What really makes this GV special to me is the yoga classes they offer. I would recommend the Monday class with Adnan Love to anyone. It is great exercise in physical form and mindfulness!

Finally a decent bouldering gym in the Princeton area. The problems are good, with some variety. The current setting leans more dynamic or balancey and less crimpy, I prefer crimpy but no problem, they have a kilter board in the back. One or two more light up light up training systems would be a great idea to attract the university crowd.

I was able to chat with the general manager; Gravity Vault is really lucky to have someone who knows the climbing community so well. The success of a gym really depends on the general manager so I hope Gravity Vault takes note.

The weight lifting area looks well set up but I didn’t have a chance to use it yet.

Overall, super happy to see this addition to the area. I’m excited to see how this gym develops over the next few years.

What a nice climbing gym! It's definitely one of the better gyms that I've been to considering the size of the gym. Good mix of difficulties in bouldering problems. There's also quite a few auto belays for those climbing solo. I highly recommend this climbing gym!

Went climbing on Sunday in this newly opened Gravity Vault in Princeton with my wife. I haven't climbed for 8 months so it was a bit challenging in the beginning. The bouldering area is extensive and the problems are very interesting. Was able to get some V3s in the end. Also climbed 3 top rope routes in the 30ft rope area, which was fun too.

The staff are very nice. It's a super family friendly facility with a great community vibe. Saw quite a few kids enjoying climbing with their parents that day.

Indoor climbing has been a daddy daughter thing in our family for a few years. I belay, she climbs. Our main gym was Gravity Vault in Middletown. This is about 45 minutes away, which led to many canceled trips. Yesterday for some reason I googled the gym, and voilà the Plainsboro location came up. I didn’t even realize it was being built. This is only 20 minutes from us. We went late last night, and I was so impressed with this facility. The layout, quality equipment, and amenities were awesome. Not to mention the center it’s in is fantastic. Can’t wait to go again.

Being new to rock climbing this gym felt very welcoming to a range of experience levels. The front area has a nice section for bouldering and toward the back is 30ft top-rope among many other things. There are little spaces hidden all over to encourage community such as a ping pong table and a kids party climbing area. The gym as a whole feels dynamic and has a nice atmosphere. I'm excited to see what classes and workshops are offered in the future.

Great environment with a focus on bouldering but also a good assortment of top rope, auto-belay, and lead climbing routes (35’). Appropriate for all ages and experiences, and includes an entire section of kid-friendly (20’) walls. There’s even a training section in the back back for both newbie and diehard boulderers.
