Would give a 5 and not trying to sound like an old man, but seriously turn the music down, it's WAY to loud. You can hear it over your own headphones. It doesn't seem to be an issue in Rockaway. Otherwise great old school gym that's always open and has great equipment selection for body builders.

A fantastic gym for members of all fitness levels! The gym is clean and well-maintained. There is a vast amount of free weights, plate loading equipment and selectorized machines. The staff is friendly and helpful and the facility is open 24 hours, seven days a week.

Easily the best local gyms, it’s crazy you get access to both locations 24/7. The owners really know how to build a gym with both old school and modern equipment for every body part. Members have good gym etiquette, staff members make the best shakes and the personal trainers are outstanding. I’ve been a member since their grand opening in 2018 and have had absolutely zero complaints, love it here.

i just recently joined this gym, at first i was hesitant about joining a gym because i didn't have experience, but i was glad i got a membership here. the atmosphere is very motivating, they have a lot of equipment and the people are great. the best part is that when you leave, you're always looking forward to going back the next day.

Where to even begin? I recently joined this gym and personally have had experience and memberships at many gyms in the past whether it was Retro, Crunch, Giant Fitness, college gymnasium and other private smaller gyms but Topshelf Fitness easily takes the cake. Below are the reasons why:
- The owners are not only friendly and accommodating but it’s evident that they truly care about their members. They put a lot of effort into keeping the facility clean and accessible. The owners are Pro IFBB competitors so they know best when it comes to what people would want to get out of a gym membership. All they care about is providing a facility to allow others to become the best versions of themselves.
- The EQUIPMENT. I’ll echo what I said earlier with how I’ve been to many other gyms in the past.. I have never seen a gym so equipped as I have at Topshelf. They have a machine for literally everything - many I’ve never even seen before. This has allowed for better workouts since I’m able to train in ways I never have before.
- The atmosphere allows for great workouts each and every time. The people who train at Topshelf take the gym seriously and aren’t there messing around. Everyone there also respects the facility and the other people there: rarely do you see unracked weights or machines not wiped down after use.
- The gym is 24 hrs 365 days.. rain/shine/hurricane lol not like other gyms who claim to be 24 hrs but close on certain holidays or during inclement weather.

.. this is just to name a few reasons. I don’t see myself going back to any of my other old gym memberships. Thanks Topshelf for creating a second home for me!!

Topshelf is a prime gym! Both locations are open 24 hours to members and they both have supplement stores with absolute 🔥 shakes. The staff is amazing and will help you with any questions you have. The facilities have every piece of equipment you can ask for. Both locations serve beginners through high level athletes. The owners truly care about their members and each persons needs in the fitness industry. I feel at home at both locations and I can ask from help from staff as well as other member if need and never feel uncomfortable. Lianas glute and abs class on Saturday morning at the rockaway location is awesome and anyone in any fitness level should try it because it is 🔥. I love both gyms and all the staff members at both locations I never had a problem with any member, guest, staff, or owner and I honestly never will. I’m beyond happy to have a gym that can fit my needs with no contract to join and that has such a positive aura in and around it. Topshelf is the real deal and their music is great too! I love you guys!!!

GREAT PLACE! Very clean and the owners always make sure to replace equipment. They are consistently looking to improve the gym with new machines to hit different muscles and offer different exercises. The main gym trainer, Liana, is also very knowledgeable and takes her job seriously. Also opened 24 hrs?! Can’t beat that!

Such an awesome gym. No glitz and glam, a true iron paradise of a gym. *Bodybuilder alert* both locations have such interesting/rare equipment that you can’t get at any chain club. But it’s also perfect and accommodating for the average fit person, too. Owners are ridiculously friendly — overall an unbeatable experience especially for the price.

Absolutely great gym! They have all varieties of equipment along with equipment I haven’t seen in a gym yet! Both locations are excellent and the staff is above 5 star. Very friendly environment for all types of gym goers. Staff has no problems assisting you with any questions and treat every member with respect! 10/10 would recommend this gym to anyone in or out of the area!

Best fitness center hands down! If you want dedication, determination, and hard work this is the gym. If you want to look cute and waste time then go to 24hr or la fitness. This is a solid place. I go in, do my thing and I'm out. No attitudes, no egos just good ol' fashion working out. Far from a corporate atmosphere where all they want is your money. I suggest going there if you reside in the area or are in the area for a few days. You will not be disappointed.

This place gives you that feel of what a gym should be. Good music (no headphones needed), clean facility, amazing selection of free weights, grips and bars for cable equipment, plated machines that really get the job done. Recently joined after moving into the area and what attracted me was the facility's equipment and two very personable owners; which are IFBB Pro competitors. The gym is not like your typical commercial gym and offers mostly old school machines with some modern ones. The facility is well-maintained and another perk is that the front of the gym offers a diverse supply of supplement products.
