If I can rate zero stars I would. I joined this gym with great intentions to get built and stay consistent in the gym. Joe was very pleasant in the beginning. Until I unfortunately hit a financial barrier and I was late on a few payments but this gym it’s owned by a third party who will charge your account $20 a day from pulling your card. I wind up paying around $600-$800 in fees I believe. Fast forward , I continue to go to the gym because I’m in my year contract. Now when I was having problems, a worker there by the name of Candace was very rude to do about my account and even motioned me to come forward to her by tapping her nails on the counter. She is very rude and bad for business. My second encounter with her is when I was working with a member there named Dwayne. She found her way to the front desk to be in my business and I asked her to stay away from me so that I won’t have any confrontations with her anymore. Months go by I ignore her and stay away from her because she has an evil picking spirit and nasty disposition with her customer service. Now months go by and I’m closer to the end of my contract. I go in the gym to ask how can I go about canceling my membership, a guy at the front desk with slick back hair was talking to two women off to the side. When I walked in , a gentlemen was ahead of me in line so he took care of him and I was obviously next in line. Instead of him calling me over to receive assistance. He walks over to the two women and continues to have a casual conversation and even uses profanity and looks at me while doing so. After around 2-3 minutes, he walks over to me and ask what’s the problem. No greeting , no asking my name , I tell him that I wanted to get more information about cancelation. He tells me that I have to come in anytime between 9-5 and walks off. The people at this gym has horrible customer service. I could have been coming in to have my family join or colleagues but instead he prioritized a small conversation and mingle with women instead of his job. I do not recommend anyone join this gym. They are very condescending as well when you address it. When I finally went to cancel , Joe the owner , helped me and asked why and I told him about my experience and he says in return , they usually say I’m the rude one. As if that was a great response. Do not join URGE for your sanity and money.
Update : It’s very condescending to respond to your reviews in such way when there are many customers with the same issue. That’s a business issue , very bad for business. And it is my experience so I will use names. My boyfriend tried to cancel a few weeks ago and he came within the time frame that was given to me as well and he was told by Joe the owner , that he had to cancel online. When Joe just helped me cancel , so they can squeeze more money out of you. DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM.

Urge Fitness is amazing! I’ve been a member for almost two years and got to know the staff well. They’re always polite, respectful, and genuinely helpful. Candice made canceling my membership incredibly easy. She handled everything quickly, sent a voice note, an email confirmation and guided me through the process perfectly.
The gym has a great atmosphere, and I really enjoyed my time as a member, and the love and respect I received from the staff.

Try to cancel your membership. They can’t find the manager and give you a phone number that you have to leave a message. That’s my only complaint with this facility. So only if you’re gonna become a lifetime member and never cancel your membership I suggest staying away from this place!

Wished I can give no stars.. management sucks! My son has a membership and he said we should get a family plan. So I went in and asked to said his single plan to a family plan. Jo said we would have to cancel his plan and opened a family plan. So I did. Was told he has to come in M-F 9-5 to cancel in person. So he did and the manager was not there @1pm. So I go in today as spoke to the manager and indicated that my son was in on Friday @1 to cancel his membership because he is now on our family plan. Mind you they are making more money with us joining. And he is a student and works so he cannot just come in those hrs, and they are going to charge him for another month in two days plus 2 more months when you cancel so that’s 3 months..She says oh I was on lunch so I said well you have not indicated that on the times to come in, is that the same every day she says oh it’s whenever I can go to lunch! Madness.. how the hell does this make any sense. She is the only one that can cancel it. Oh she said I do have to go to lunch like B please do do that… Who is running this place?? All their facilities have the same complaints.. Horrible.. Don’t waste you time. Incompetent ppl

Their app never works!! I started a plan with them because of their “Pilates Mat class” they barely even offer them. I moved from NJ to Philadelphia PA and wanted to cancel my membership and they won’t allow me to cancel because they have a location in PA in honestly not a great area and that was the reason why I did not want to continue going.i was also told when creating my membership that i was allowed to cancel my membership if I had to move. But when I called I wasn’t allowed to anymore 🤷🏻♀️ Def not renewing.

Absolutely disgusting business practices. Unethical billing, force you to pay hundreds of dollars to get out of your membership. Then months later, get a statement from a 3rd party payer, saying I owe monthly fees, after I literally paid extra to get out of the membership contract. Then was told it was my fault, I did not update the 3rd party payer!!!! WHAT!! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARDS INFO, DO NOT SIGN ANY CONTRACT. They will find a way to weasel you out of your money if you try to cancel.

This gym sucks. Machines are ok but Candence really ruins the experience. She has some nerve. Always rude talking down on people like she wasn’t once a fat ahhhh. I seen how she speaks to members and even other workers, it’s sickening. Surprised she even has a job still lol. I also find it funny every bad review is “spam” or something along those lines. No type of accountability at all. Would not recommend this gym to no one.

URGE Edgewater Park is one of the most beautiful gyms I've worked out in! With a minimal color scheme, modern look and plants throughout the facility, you feel like you're exercising in a resort or spa. It has a ton of all types of equipment - several squat racks, a functional turf area for personal coaching, and even unique pieces of cardio that connect to your smart watch. This gym actually smells good because of how clean it is!
I was just visiting while in Philly for a couple of days, but not only did the staff make me feel so welcome and comfortable, but the members also made me feel like I was a regular there.
If I lived in the area, I would 10000% join this gym, especially because of the convenience - they provide 24-hour access, as well as childcare, so no excuse!
Thank you for a wonderful experience, URGE staff and members. I cannot wait to return!

Absolutely disgusting behavior from every staff member at this gym. I was trying to cancel my membership and was told over the phone that I would only pay for two months. Then when I come in with my written request to pay for the two months, they tell me there is an annual fee EXTRA with the two months. I payed for ONE year even if I wasn’t coming in everyday. I shouldn’t be charged for extra fees because the staff member helping me told me I was only paying for 12 months. I was also charged for an extra month even though I was told I would only be paying for 12 months. I called them asking why they charged me for another month, they told me my account was renewed. The staff member helping me told me that I would only be paying for one year (ONLY 12 MONTHS) and that there is no renewals AT ALL. My account online says below the “Renewal Information”that my membership was NOT RENEWABLE. Then when I tell one of the managers, they tell me “There isn’t anything at all like that online.”They keep lying and trying to make you pay extra. This business is trying to rob everyone out of their money and you shouldn’t even come to this business at all.

Don't fall for the 3 months free membership BS, when you go to cancel your membership they charge you for your so called free 3 months. Beware of the contract don't sign they are scammers.
Here is my response: I did not forget or misunderstand my end of the agreement. Perhaps you should consider standing by your word. Offering “3 free months” only to charge people later feels like a bait-and-switch tactic. And the way you handled the review—by accusing me of forgetting or misunderstanding—was not only dismissive, but also quite unprofessional. It's yet another reason I won’t be associating with what feels like a scam.

Not sure what’s actually going on but everything in that gym is quite literally falling apart… From the machines/attachments all the way to the soap dispensers in the bathrooms… you can barely find a paper towel dispenser to dispense paper towels. Bolts on equipment are loosening from daily use… Why does it take over a month for a single cable that frayed and snapped to be replaced.
Initially when I signed up the gym was great. Now it seems the owner(s) have made their money and don’t care much about maintenance or their members that got them on their feet from the initial opening of this location (never forget the trailer out front getting you to lock in prior to it being open for months if not a year of we’re almost opening. But there is always a cleaner staffed wiping equipment down during the day while everything falls apart. If it was a 9.99 a month membership with no annual fee I would certainly be more accepting of this.
Really sad to see none of that revenue put back into the gym. Double pulley cable systems that come down to a fixed 2:1 (where’s the swivel?!) doesn’t exist so as a result of that you suffer with the pulleys operating incorrectly (better off just tying the carabiner’s together and hooking to the the attachment). Equipment replacement grips and handles all spin and are worn out (some don’t even have an end caps). The fixed grips and mechanisms on some machines are just bent and racked from misuse (again you as the member have to suffer this never being changed). Some pieces of equipment and attachments have vanished and never been replaced, it’s a fantastic feeling of having to suffer because a business with CCTV cannot find the root of these issues. I now understand why they do not offer an actual 1 -3 day trial pass because if you tried it out you’d turn and run away.
I could honestly go on and on, from the time I signed up to this past month, you would think the gym went into a change of ownership.
If you value what you pay for and where those additional maintenance fees go, then I strongly recommend that you do not give them your business until something changes.
Overall the equipment and amenities in the gym are very competitive to most other gyms in the area. Just a shame this is how they maintain the standards they offer and pride themselves on.
“Less Crowds” should definitely be removed from their slogan.

Dirty and nasty plus scam payment system. No soap dispensers work in the bathroom. People in there smelling horrible, people running around yelling and screaming. Was told I could freeze my account as I travel a lot and then I got to freeze they still charge you! Nobody puts weights back everything is mixed up. Multiple machines missing labels on weights so you don’t know how much the weight is and it’s hard to match both sides on machines that have two. This place costs more and is worse than other gyms in the area. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I had an Amazing time here. The staff hospitality, training, and knowledge is on point. They worked with me setting up my workout schedules, meal preps, and payment plan if I had any issues as long as i communicated that with them. I would highly recommend this gym to everyone. If you join urge gym please beware that they will use you for your money. I have stage three cancer and tried to cancel and thought I did but that didn't happen. They placed me in collections with Alduos & Associates for 2,512.56 dollars on record I owe 900 dollars not the above. It's true don't join at a gym first one last one. Update try to do a settlement with half just to make it fair. Now they want 2100 that's not going to happen I only was in the gym for 3 days how to train a name Courtney only saw her 2 days on on a Thursday per week. All I can say is I tried I guess my debt will still be the above they don't even want to negotiate I called the law firm today and that was the price they gave me I don't think it's fair what do you think 🤔

This business does not charge any additional fees when you register and close it after a year. They create a world of problems for you because you do not read the papers you sign. They say there is no cleaning fee, no annual fee, closing fee, do not trust their words, choose Planet instead of this business, you will not have any problems when canceling because my friends registered here and then canceled, they did not have any problems.

I've been a member for 2 years since the first day they opened in Edgewater, NJ. Last year I decided to upgrade to the premium package, which allows you to go to the gym 24/7. Since I was doing this I no longer needed childcare service and was told that it would be canceled off my account.
I have auto payments set up so I never paid attention to what was coming out. I didn't use childcare and on whole year and was being charged for it still. When I contacted the gym they ensured me that I would be refunded my money because they see I did make the switch last June.
However, I contacted management and they said since I wasn't sent a cancelation receipt that all charges are permanent. This is not good customer service and I will be canceling soon and telling everyone around town about the lack of quality customer service.
They basically been charge me an extra 20$ every month so in total they took $180 from me. I wouldn't advise anyone to go here!

I canceled a 12 month initial membership in person 60days in advance before renewal started on a month to month membership as stated in the contract.
I was still billed a 13th payment on a canceled membership with no use of facility or refund of 13th payment.
Brought this to attention of Joe Lerner management at this facility and he stated I needed another 2 weeks prior to the day I walked in to cancel so 75 days notice to prevent 13th payment.
Joe Lerner practices deceptive sales tactics I would avoid him and this Urge fitness facility at all costs Literally.

Having a membership with this gym is why I’ll never get another gym membership. Due to medical issues and lack of work from being ill. I had not used this membership in over a year. I’ve been billed monthly fees and maintenance fees. Which I did not complain about. Then in one day they took two payments from my account. I go to close the account and to cancel now I need to pay for two more upcoming months just to cancel. Having to pay for two months of service I physically cannot and will not be using just to cancel a contract and my contract has already ended is ridiculous.

I entered a 12 month contract with Urge Fitness for
me and my family. While I was signing up I let the
Gentleman know that I was an Active Duty member
of the Army National guard and that I was subject to
moves within the state. I was informed that if I was
moved to an area with no Urge fitness locations nearby that I would be able to cancel with a copy of my orders. When I was subsequently transferred I called to inquire about cancellation. I was told that I needed to hand deliver my paperwork. When I showed up with my paperwork, I was told I needed to email it to the back office. Finally when I emailed the back office I was responded to a week later. The back office stated that I was “Active Guard or Reserve” and that they didn’t see where it stated that I was transferred (the document is straight forward). Between the convoluted cancellation practices and the outright
dishonesty I would caution anyone from entering into a contract with them especially soldiers.

My experience with Urge Fitness has been nothing but frustrating and unprofessional. I was told multiple different payment amounts for my final bill and also given the wrong payment due date by a staff members. Because of their mistake, I was hit with a $20 late fee, which I shouldn’t have to pay at all.
To make it worse, their app and website are completely unreliable. I couldn’t access my account on their website or change my payment information on the app, everything felt disorganized and outdated.
And the most disappointing part? A staff member named Candence told me “When you’re ready to take your health seriously, you can sign back up again.” That was rude, condescending, and completely uncalled for. Everyone has their own journey, and comments like that make the gym feel judgmental instead of supportive. I already told her my situation, I couldn’t fit the gym into my schedule especially since I didn’t have the 24 hr membership so for her to say that was upsetting and EXTREMELY unprofessional. I’ve also heard other complaints about her from other members about her being rude.
I don’t recommend Urge Fitness to anyone looking for a respectful, honest, or well-run gym experience.

We have written confirmation from all of my mother‘s doctors that she not only should not be leaving the house, but is unfit to use gym equipment. This gym is an absolute nightmare. Trying to cancel my membership was like escaping a hostage situation. They ignore calls, dodge emails, and bounce you between staff who all claim “they can’t help.” Meanwhile, they keep draining your bank account. I’m so disappointed in this gym, I see several people have complained about their contracts, I should have done my due diligence. They are all about signing you up offering free sessions next thing you know you get charged for a whole year of personal training at the amount $156 monthly then monthly gym fee of about $32. Not no mention yearly maintenance fee around $65. Charges to credit card in different amounts that are not explained. This is basically a scam to me. I’ve got a Chronic medical condition that doesn’t allow me to go to the gym as I would like. I mentioned all this when I went to the gym initially so instead of giving me better advice they signed me up for everything that they knew wouldn’t benefit someone like me. Shame on you profit is more important than the member. Hopefully someone else reads this and doesn’t make the mistake of signing up with a gym that doesn’t put members first. Oh and the first 3 months were supposed to be free…😡😡😡

It's pretty clean, and the indoor temperature is good. The staff lack follow-up with gym etiquette. I think the gym could do a much better job of having and enforcing some rules. It's like a free for all between 2p and 6p. A plus is the sauna and classes, especially the Aerial Yoga class with instructor Liz.

Upon signing up they let you know beforehand that when you cancel you have to pay for the next two months. My experience here was amazing! I had the premium membership so having access for 24 hours was convenient! The workers are extremely kind and helpful. I only canceled because i moved. 10/10 would recommend.

I personally am starting to love this gym. I left PF because I was so uncomfortable with the guys who would hit on me every-time I went to workout. Planet fitness is always packed with kids in the gym who pick one part of the gym and swarm there the entire day. While some teens may enjoy the free pass they get occasionally every year to enter PF it’s actually annoying having them there. Urge fitness is much more exclusive yet inclusive at the same time. They care about their members and make every gym day a personable experience which motivates me to come back everytime. They are clear about their policy when you sign up and so kindly send you documentation which most gyms don’t do.

The gym is nice but the way they do business is terrible. I was in a bad accident. I called multiple times and asked to speak to the manager, Matt. The staff refused to take a message and said I had to come in, which was difficult given my injuries. I even tried emailing, no response. I came in with documentation, told I had to pay for personal training I couldn't use due to my injuries and than my account would be closed. It wasn’t. I sent a certified letter with more documentation and a month later I got a collection notice. I’m sure he will jump on here and say it’s because I’m lazy and don’t pay my bills. Pretty difficult to pay for something you can’t use or afford when you’re out of work for an extended period of time. You’re good to work out here if you never experience any type of personal tragedy during your contract.

Been here since 2023 & I’ve always seen the same trainers around here: Candace, Ed, Gismara, Daryl, Lindsey, Jevon, Charles, etc. Seems to be great trainer retention and you don’t always see that with gyms. It’s really nice seeing them work with clients that are just as consistent
I’ve never had a billing issue that management couldn’t help with…I mean I’ve straight up told management (usually Matt) when I couldn’t make a payment on time and accommodations were made, I had issues with late fees stacking up that were resolved immediately
I remember being told when I signed up that 2-months payment would be required upon cancellation like clearly communicated. I really haven’t had any issues here
Definitely worth it for the price. I’m sitting in the sauna right now LOL I’m hoping to see them expand and get a little more space, + more locations (:

Please I repeat, DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS GYM! First and foremost the place is very small. Not a lot of equipment and not very clean. The contracts here are very scammy. When I decided to cancel my membership, they said that it would be no issue. However I lost my credit card and updated it to a new card. However my card that was connected to Urge was nulled. They still continued to charge me since I didn’t pay off the last few months. I did receive an email months later and realizing that it was my fault I did pay off those months. HOWEVER, they charged me so many late fees and if I didn’t pay those fees they would still keep me on and charge me as an active gym member and still charge fees on top of that as well. They forced me to be an active member (even though I did pay the missing months) please read your contract when signing up with them and cancelling with them. I had to pay 300$ off so that this awful establishment wouldn’t send me to collectors. The people who handle payments (Candice and Joe) are extremely unpleasant and unprofessional as well. Please learn from my mistake and that is to never sign up for this gym.

Great gym! Always greeted upon entering and very clean. When it's crowded it's not. Tones of space to do group workouts or just be alone in your own zone. I love the dry sauna and locker rooms. A special thanks to Candice (Candy). She is very personable and knows how to handle any situation that is presented to her. Kudos to you and the team!

I messed up and got into this contract for a year instead of choosing a better gym a bit further away. The machines are almost never cleaned by staff or other people exercising. New staff every month. Came in to get my membership canceled today... one manager was basically refusing to help while I sat around for over 30 minutes, and the other had his feet kicked up in his office room, taking a 3 hour lunch. The girls at the front desk are too scared and know how scummy this gym is when it comes to canceling gym memberships, so they choose not to get involved. All that time wasted just to get a phone number to call and cancel. Came in last month, the lady refused to cancel my membership because it was 4:55 on a Friday. I would give negative stars if possible. With my dog waiting for me in the car, these clowns couldn't get up and click a mouse a few times to get me out in seconds, instead chose to act like the money is coming out of their pocket. Dont sign up for this gym! Way better gyms for better prices!

For what I pay, why the place is becoming dirtier every time I go is beyond me. Toilet paper is the flimsiest 1 ply I've ever had the displeasure of wiping with, there's always some sort of bodily fluids on the toilet seat, usually poop smears, and the stalls smell bad. Machines aren't for petite bodies and apparently they're so cheap they can't get any single piece of equipment fixed but have to wait until a bunch of stuff breaks to get it all serviced. I also asked for a lifting TIP and was manipulated into a sit down with the manager who told me I need to lose weight and tried to sell me on a trainer package. Thanks for that dude. You can shove your advice and the trainer package.

I got a contract for a year and they said after that 1 year we could cancel our membership with no cancellation fee, I have gone for 2 years, and yet they asked for another signature, they asked for a 60 day notice and a cancelation fee, and wanna charge me for those days too. I started going to this gym over a year ago because it’s the only gym in the area that prioritizes cleanliness, is open 24/7, and has a sauna. The staff is always friendly and happy to help with any questions you have whether it’s about your account or to help correct your form on an exercise. They covered just about every base in this gym so that you have no excuse not to get fit. They have a daycare for your children so that you can workout in peace knowing your little ones are close by and supervised, they have classes for each fitness activity you can think of, from boxing to yoga, and they have the best personal trainers I’ve met at any gym. A member I was talking to told me she lost 10lbs of fat and 4 inches off of her waist while maintaining the muscle she had built with her trainer according to her InBody scan which is really impressive.
I highly recommend this gym for anyone in any fitness level, you’ll love it there !!

Good lord, you guys got to spend probably $5 on Amazon for an absorbent mat to clear this issue up because someone is going to slip on this huge puddle of water and severely injure themselves. Could happen any day now. Stop being careless and show you have some ingenuity and compassion for the humans you run this gym for, Matt like you’re actually doing something when I see you walking around in here, it’s so simple. The gym was good when I first joined when it was newly opened ...now it's a bunch of kids in there not knowing what they are doing and honestly being a nuisance...they don't rerack the weights as if they think it was never told to ...a bunch crowd around machines and barely work out and also on their cell phones ..the only reason I still go is because they're open 24 hours ...and I don't believe they service the machines...the cable wires are hard to move on alot of the machines and not enough attachments also to use ...one thing I did notice they young ladies work out harder and know what they are doingore then some of the young men there

I wish I could give this gym a 5 star review but I've been attending since December and for the past 2 months, it seems, the finger print/ qr reader has been having issues. I tried to get the new app, doesn't work whatsoever and customer care was no help as well. Took my finger print as to just avoid the app and now not even that works, when I put in my phone number it throws up a question mark on the display. I talked to one of the employees and he seemed helpful and even gave me the day, but if I am paying every month for this gym I want to be able to Physcially use it. Other than that, this gym is great! The equipment is nice, there's plenty of room, and it gives me everything I look for but that finger print reader seriously needs to be fixed or atleast have customers sign in at the front desk if there's staff.

BEWARE: Once you begin membership with this gym, you will be charged an absurd amount of money to cancel membership no matter if you wait for your contract to expire or not. If you attempt to cancel before the year’s membership expires, you will be charged for the remaining months. HOWEVER, I waited the full year for my contract to expire, and upon cancellation, I was charged for two MORE months and an additional fee which amounted to the price of 6 months worth of membership at my current gym. They will SCAM you out of your money no matter how you go about it, do not sign ANY contracts with this company.

The scamming management here are very deceptive, rude, confrontational, condescending, and predatory with their contracts. I’m so happy my contract has ended. Seems like a decent gym regarding equipment. I’m turned off by signing a contract to join as many gyms don’t make you sign a contract and the horrible reviews from members. Also, reading the responses from management to customer complains on Google was enough to make me not sign up. I couldn’t image being in a contact with a gym and the employees are talking to me to recklessly. Do better!

I’ve been a member at Urge for a little over a month and a half and I honestly love it! Every staff member is nice and very professional. This gym definitely has a family feel to it. They always greet you, make sure you’re okay and is very courteous. My trainer Julia is amazing, she has helped me reach one of my goals in literally over a month and she’s always pushing me to my full potential. My daughter attends the daycare facility inside the gym and they make her feel so welcome. She literally asks to go every day. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone looking to take their fitness journey serious!!

This gym has been open for a little over a year. I joined in March 2023. When I joined they promised a clean , uncrowded gym. Now this gym is dirty and crowded. Over the course of the year they have hired some many different people. They can't keep staff. I stopped going to the classes because the instructors kept leaving. Do not join . Once you join they make it impossible to cancel your membership. They expect 60 days notice even after you complete the 12 month contract. They will charge you two months and a annual fee after you tell them to cancel the contract. This could easily be an additional $!00. If you don't pay they will continue to bill you then send your account to collections. They don't cancel , they give a paper that says this is 'notice of cancellation'. so they can bill you for two more months. The rating of the gym will change once others like me find out how hard it is to cancel and how nasty the manager is when you try to cancel. People who work at a place like this have no integrity , the contract is predatory and they know it.
They have no customer service other than the people working at the gym. Read the complaints about them on the Better Business Bureau (BBB) website. They will soon be out of business because of their predatory practices. Horrible treatment of people simply trying to improve their health.

What an awful 30days experience. . . yes only 30 day. Shortly after I joined I had a medical issue. I really was looking forward to being a member. The personal trainer was AMAZING and she was the best part of the entire place. As I mentioned; I had a medical issue which had me unable to worked out for 60days. When I TRIED to explain that to them no response. I sent emails and registered mail ... they were not receptive; refused to communicate at all but continued to attempt to charge my credit card. Unfortunately, I had to call my attorney to handle everything which is sad because I felt good customer service would have went a long way. . . Bright side of things; the money I would have spent on a membership there, I created my own home gym and will have my own Personal Trainer to help me get back on track.

For these people every bad review is spam! Poor them! I would say many good review might be false. They make you sign a horrible contract that obligates you to stay there! We moved to Florida and couldn't keep going, and still they made us pay and took us to collections. BE CAREFUL WITH EVERYTHING YOU SIGN! The difference between this gym and planet fitness is that you are obligated to stay in Urge for a year or so to get a "discount." In Planet Fitness, you can leave anytime. Also monthly payments, Planet fitness is cheaper. Now, when it comes to being packed. Both are the same. Both packed. Not enough machines!

I think this gym is awesome. Cycling class and yoga with Charlese is amazing. You guys should check her out. My only concern is my 1 year old baby boy goes to their day care and I don’t like that low door. I’ve seen a kid open thst doer while the sitter was assisting other kid. Even my 1 year old can pull down the door handle. I brought up my concerns to the manager Matthew and he said he will look into it. It’s been 3 weeks and nothing yet.

Love the gym and the people. The trainers are so down to earth. This is one of the first gyms that I feel welcome as any body type at any level of education. The selling point for me was their commitment to safety and education for members. The staff, like Candace, always have a way of making any stressful day a better one just by coming to the gym. So thank you. Although I was in the personal training program, I unfortunately had to cancel my PT for some external reasons. Contrary to what other reviews say, the staff here was so helpful with how to do so. Joe guided me through the process with a thorough explanation. Hopefully, I will be able to join the program again soon.
The class instructors make the classes absolutely worth it. Would recommend 10/10.

Let’s start by saying that some of the bad reviews are valid. & You can tell by the way who ever is replying to the reviews are UNPROFESSIONAL, My guess is Management. I’ve dealt with unpleasant, unhelpful and unprofessional “management” and when asked to speak with someone higher up you just give an email to file your complaints to. Other than that The gym is 100% beautiful, the regular membership is a good price too and the other staff is great. Best advice is don’t sign up for any for the 12 month commitment and you only get 3 days to cancel.

Very happy with the staff, they make the best protein shakes! Everyone is friendly. The gym is awesome, they have everything I need to get a great workout. I just have 2 small suggestions. Maybe add a couple more small straight bars and ez curl bars for the cable machines. There is only one straight bar and it is at premium. Also, more 2.5 pound plates, they are very hard to find.

Urge fitness is like heaven on earth I always have the best workouts and get the best pumps. All the staff and fellow gym goers are extremely nice and respectful it’s a overall great environment I totally recommend this gym to anyone looking to get in better shape. The gym is very clean, staff is friendly, pretty quiet most of the time… good if you don’t like the huge crowds at other gyms. Whoever sees this you should DEFINITELY add some 130+ LB dumbbells.

The gym is very clean and the staff so far have been very friendly with me, they make sure to say hi and bye and even speak to you while you're on the floor. The only problem I have is their soap dispenser in the bathroom, lol. For some reason, it's always only 1 working or they're empty. And they really need to fix the potholes in the parking lot, but I dont think that's the gym fault. However, they should really try to do something about it. Also, their shakes taste delicious.

This place is nothing but a scam. Please save your money and go to the who respect their customers. They purposely hang-up on you if you are addressing any issues or concerns and when you call back you get their VM. Like many other mentioned the music is way too loud and they do not care for your feedback. When you ask them their corporate email or contact info, they will tell you they don't have one. They never email you the signed contract. SAVE YOUR MONEY. I will be reporting them to better Business bureau.

This is an honest unpaid unbiased review of Urge Fitness
I am an Elite Level 1 month to month member at urge
I read their contract online and asked lots of questions before I joined
They have 3 membership levels Basic Premium Elite
Basic allows you to exercise on the equipment during staffed hours no classes
Premium allows 24/7 access and group classes NO BOXING OR DAILY URGE
Elite includes 24/7 access group classes WITH BOXING/DAILY URGE
They also have family memberships
You can either sign a year long contract OR due a month to month membership
Pros staff is nice has decent exercise classes large turf area for personal training/
daily urge classes
The gym is clean
The locker rooms have saunas in them
Has lots of equipment
However the evening classes fill up very quickly
I wish the music was NOT SO LOUD
I can live with that though
They only have one silver class per week. I wish they had more silver classes
When I had an issue with being overcharged when I upgraded my membership
Joe helped resolve the issue and credited the money back to my account
They do charge a yearly maintenance fee
Which ALL for profit gyms charge
I have read a lot of the reviews and most of them talk about how hard it is to cancel
If you need to cancel your membership you need to let them know 2 months in advance
You can easily cancel by going into the gym you originally signed up at
and speak to a manager Monday-Friday
9:00 AM TO 5:00 PM
or send a certified letter return receipt to the gym you signed up at
Once you receive your confirmation email your membership should be cancelled
However you will have to pay for the next 2 months of membership
You can still use the gym during those 2 months
Overall Urge is a decent mid price gym with good equipment/ classes
I hope to be a member as long as my health allows it

I would NOT recommend joining this gym. They play music FAR too loud that you cannot even hear your own headphones, and despite bringing up this issue to a manager, I was met with scorn. I had a month to month membership and cancelled by certified mail and was charged $250. I know a number of other people who have complained about the music volume and also have had billing problems/over charges/cancellation issues. It’s a painstaking process to cancel your membership. I recommend reading the fine print before joining.

Do not join ! Worst staff EVER...unknowledgeable and Managers driven by membership retention not customer service. When I opted for membership the Coach alerted me that I could rescind my membership within 60 days if "Urge was NOT right for me", I HAND delivered my termination on 3-9-2023 to this location but they NEVER received it ??, I was later told termination letters can only be given directly to the managers (when they are in) and only on Monday thru Friday, moreover I was told by the Managers that the Coach who signed me up had no authority to give me the 60 day grace...so staff lied just to get me to sign on. A very shady and deceptive organization that is just motivated by membership dues... NOT health, wellness or consumer satisfaction.

READ YOUR CONTRACT! These people make it look so beautiful at the beginning even though they dont even let you tour the gym before signing the contract. They talk to you about the great prices but never about the repercussions if you leave before the "agreed" time. These people have breaking the contract fees, you have to stay there for a certain amount of time or you will pay for it. They should be sincere and clear from the very beginning so people make sure they can stay the "agreed" time. They said they tell this to people, but they dont! They didn't even mention that! My advice DONT SIGN ANYTHING BEFORE READING THE 6 PAGES CONTRACT WITH TINY LETTERS. and just so you know... the Gym at certain hours IS FULL... just like planet fitness!

DO NOT JOIN HERE! I signed up for a month to month Elite membership to try out the boxing class. At the time, I was told that I can cancel or downgrade since it was month to month, I would have to cancel 2 months ahead of time. I paid an enrollment fee and the first month. The class was not what I expected, so I went in on a Saturday to cancel.
I was then informed that I could only cancel by sending a certified letter or dropping a letter off on weekdays between 9 and 5. I was informed that if I wanted to downgrade, I needed to pay another enrollment fee. I was only a member for 2 months and had just paid an enrollment fee. On top of that, I work during those hours, as I suspect most people do.
I wrote up a letter and asked my mom to drop it off for me. She was there first thing Monday morning. The woman took the letter to process the cancellation, but another woman asked her to have me come in before 9, so she could "explain" the process. I already knew the process, as I was told the process on Saturday. She told her not to leave the letter, and she would process for me when I came in.
I left work early to get there only for her to try to sell me to keep the membership and when I refused, I was told I need to return again between the hours of 9 and 5 to cancel.
This is a SCAM. I just want out of the contract and will pay what is needed, but I keep being told different things and given the run around. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau as this experience has been frustrating. Hopefully my review can save someone else some heartache.

Just got off the phone with a representative of this gym and I was returning a phone call after I submitted an inquiry online for a free class. He told me that I can’t just walk off the street and request a free class that I would have to join the gym and then I could get a free session. I don’t know why they would offer a free class online to get to know the gym if they’re not gonna honor it. Super rude and no customer service manners.
Since the owner replied to me and I can’t respond I will do so here. The issue is if you are just offering a free class to your member at that point that’s what it should have stated. I would have never entered by contact information if you had stated it was for members. That would have been the end of my inquiry because I personally would not join a gym, something I consider to be a long term commitment and a place I recommend to others without trying it myself first. And why would I the prospect customer pay before visiting or taking a class to know if I would like it? This is common in this industry . Again, I can’t speak for everyone but it seems very backwards to me 😂. When I inquired NO where and I mean NO where did it say you need be a member for it so I submitted for the free class. Hopefully that is changed now so others inquiring don’t give out their contact information unnecessarily. Now I just keep getting marketing from you all. Based on the comment below the owner needs to learn some emotional intelligence. Thank god I didn’t get sucked into this gym. Best of luck in you “upscale” gym.

Almost nearly impossible to get a spot for their aerial yoga class… seems to be only one instructor… who must be amazing because her class is always full with a full waitlist a week before it’s offered… come on guys!! I had finally got into one and it was canceled … please offer more classes or other qualified instructors… that can offer more classes

3 stars: Clean, not crowded, and overall wide variety of equipment and open workout areas. However, less than ideal experience in waiting for this location to open but they did refund my money without me requesting that be done, so I respect the professionalism on that aspect. After cancelling, which required a certified letter, the gym charges you for 2 additional months, and likely annual dues if you haven’t been there a year. I truly wanted to be a long-term member here because of the classes and close proximity to my home. You have to register for classes, which is somewhat annoying but I understand why. However, the classes I want to take fill quickly, thus, wasting my money for the higher level of membership to take classes.

I would like to start by saying this facility is absolutely amazing. There is a wide range of equipment for all muscle groups. The gym is very spacious and little to no crowd. I was very pleased with my experience. Most gyms aren’t as spacious when it comes to the equipment on the work out floor. One thing I would like to mention that I wasn’t very pleased with was the restroom ,I got to the gym at about 6:45 AM. unstaffed hours. I used the restroom prior to beginning my workout, It was filthy. The stalls had urine all over the toilet seat. I wasn't pleased with that at all. When staff did start coming in I realized there was a maintenance worker that arrived as well to clean the restrooms , she was in there for a very long time and seemingly cleaning the restrooms well. I thought wrong. Upon going to use the restroom after maintenance “cleaned” it was still filthy. There also wasn't any soap in the dispenser. The gym is overall great but the restroom and maintenance needs some evaluating.

DRE what his name is!! he was beast I seen him working out there for like 8 hours straight he's the one that told me to go visit this park I had first came into the Clementon location but he told me about a dynamic stretch they had that I just needed to try my shoulders are hurt and I recently flipped over in a motorcycle accident and broke a clavicle so when I heard someone can help me stretch I wouldn't hurt me I ran over there he gave it to me for free to try out so how am I going to turn it down for free

I got this membership with my brother . This gym pretty much has everything kinda cool to see they added some “old school” free weight machines you don’t see often . There’s tons of squat racks , they got turf area pretty dope. Free weights go high too. Like I said the gym pretty much has all you need. Cardio equipment is all the new jawns to. And there is a T bar section thank God. 24/7 to so no excuses . Let’s get it
