Debbi is the best! This goes beyond any yoga class I've been to--attention to proper form and building up of strength to complete hand stands in every class is accomplished. After just 3 classes I noticed my form improvement.

YogaStream should not receive anything less than 5 Stars, PERIOD! When walking into YogaStream 4 years ago, I knew my search for the perfect yoga studio was complete! The studio is beautiful and instantly transports me to a peaceful, happy place upon entering. The teachers are welcoming, extremely knowledgable and have mastered the skill of tailoring their classes to the students that are present. I am without a doubt a different person than I was 4 years ago because of YogaStream, Lara, and all of talented teachers that teach in the studio. At YogaStream you will be taught how to correctly do each and every pose to avoid injury and improve any injury you currently have. Before attending YogaStream classes, I was told by multiple doctors that I would need back surgery to correct my herniated and bulging disks if I wanted to be able to live a pain free and active life...they were WRONG!!!! All I needed was the guidance of Lara and her properly trained instructors. I have been pain free (no surgery needed), extremely active, tremendously stronger, and just plain HAPPIER for many years now!!!

I’ve done yoga at many studios over the years – YogaStream is the best one I’ve found! Their unique approach focuses on strengthening the core, glutes and upper body, which in turn has made me so much stronger and able to do more things in my life. I feel energized after every class and am getting leaner and stronger every week.
The teachers and students are friendly and welcoming, and the studio space is beautiful – open, modern and they even have a little café to buy juices, wraps etc. They just added some new classes too – a stretch class, Melt (using a soft roller which feels awesome), one focused on core/abs and also Pilates. I’m so glad I found YogaStream – try a few classes to see what it does for you!

Great studio convenient to Princeton University. Lara (the founder) has a physical therapy background, and all her flows (and those of her teachers) are intelligently designed to stretch and strengthen without injury. The classes are great for cross-training for athletes (runners etc), but also vigorous enough to be a workout replacement if you are sick of sweaty treadmills at the gym. Classes are all set to music, which tends to be upbeat, so they are a great energetic pick-me-up. This is also THE studio to go to if you want to learn how to do inversions (hand stands of various kinds)-- all the teachers can break them down very well so you can learn safely and efficiently. One thing to note is that the emphasis of the yoga here is on the physical-- if you want a more meditative flow, there are other studios in Princeton that are a better fit. That said, if you do want an energetic flow, and greater physical awareness and strength, Yoga Stream is a fantastic choice.

When I moved to the Princeton area about a year ago, one of the first things on my "to do" list was to look for a yoga studio. The moment I stepped into Yoga Stream, I knew I was home. From the very first class I took, I knew Yoga Stream was different from any other classes or studios I had been a part of, but in the best way possible. The community of teachers and students were instantly welcoming and I quickly established a loving and supportive Yoga Family. I was being challenged mind, body and soul each time I stepped onto my mat - something that I had not received anywhere else. The work I was doing on my mat transferred into the work I was doing in my personal and professional life. My desire to do, be and achieve more is inspired by the support I receive from the Yoga Stream community each and every day.
Whether you are brand new to Yoga, looking for a compliment to your current exercise regimen or have been practicing for years, Yoga Stream truly has something for everyone.

Yogastream is a one of a kind yoga studio and we are so lucky that Lara Heimann and her amazing teachers created this community in Princeton. The studio and people are warm and inviting. The vinyasa based classes are fun, unique, challenging and most importantly based on proper alignment. I love that the classes make you stronger while nourishing the body and the mind. Once you try a Yogastream flow you will be hooked!

As a Nationally Registered Strength Coach I cannot say enough about the benefits of Yoga Stream Yoga for athletes. The dynamic nature of the flows addresses the balance and flexibility issues that many athletes struggle with. As these areas improve athletes are able to perform more consistently with a diminished risk of injury. I know that my performance has improved since I added yoga to my training program. The focus on proper anatomical alignment rather than just hitting poses allows the athlete to develop at a controlled pace that leads to success and improved performance. I whole-heartedly reccommend Yoga Stream to any athlete looking to take their training to the next level.

Yogastream is an amazing studio! The teaching is very consistent and safe yet each teacher brings there own personality to class so there is always something new to learn. All 3 of my daughters love practicing there as do I! The schedule is great - you can go any time and to any class and have a fabulous teacher.

Best yoga studio in the tri-state area. Yes, I said it. I've been to countless studios, Wunderlust, etc. Why do I consider this to be the best studio? Because I am an avid Crossfit member and go here to balance my workouts with stretches that nourish my core. From day one, I never felt awkward. I still can't do all the poses, but it doesn't matter as I am often encouraged to do what is right for my body. Yoga here is challenging. You will sweat and you will discover muscle soreness your first few times. The difference is that you will also have your heart and soul massaged. Difficult to explain in words; best to experience in person.

Yoga Stream is absolutely amazing and I am so grateful I found this place!! I tried many other yoga studios and was just started to accept that fact that yoga wasn't for me. When I found yoga stream, I was immediately hooked! Lara's vision of yoga is exactly what I want and love! After having the opportunity to check out a number of studios in the Princeton area my wife and I found Yogastream and have looked no further. They are unlike any other studio we’d experienced. Practically every class is unique. Although some of the class levels provide a workout that clearly rivals a gym experience their focus on proper alignment and strong PT background make me confident that I am never at risk of doing anything too extreme. There is no “push through the pain” mentality at Yogastream. If it doesn’t feel good, you don’t do it. But honestly I’ve not experienced anything that has given me cause for concern. All of the instructors are great and there is a strong sense of community throughout the studio. Yogastream has become a core part of our sense of peace and belonging in Princeton.

Yoga Stream is unlike any other yoga studio I have ever been to. The rational, alignment-based flows focus on providing students with top notch technique. The atmosphere is one of a welcoming community focused on working hard and having fun. And there is music! Although the flows offer opportunities for students who wish to advance their practices and work toward handstands, that aspect is not required. It is a great workout for the body, as well as an opportunity to refocus the mind. I would recommend it for anyone interested in yoga.

Yoga Stream is like a second home in Princeton. Everyone is warm and welcoming and will embrace you with open arms. It’s a perfect place to go if you are a beginner, intermediate or at an advanced level. They offer a variety of classes. The teachers will help guide you with modifications or advancements. It’s a wonderful community, with workshops, visiting teachers, and a monthly vegan potluck dinner and yoga "Power Hour". It’s truly a special feeling at Yoga Stream!

Yoga Stream offers a fantastic and unique yoga experience. Classes at the studio are based on the technique created by its founder, the incomparable Lara Heimann. Yoga Stream is a vinyasa based technique but its so much more than a typical vinyasa class. You will be challenged like an athlete, a dancer and a yogi, inspired by creative flows, teachers who understand alignment and anatomy, and incredible music. There's nothing like it. Truly.

Moving with ease, grace and power in an environment that challenges the body and mind. Be prepared to have fun and to watch your yoga practice soar to new heights under the direction of Lara Heimann. As a licensed physical therapist, the physical adjustments made by Lara and her team of yoga teachers facilitate gains in strength, alignment and awareness. Most popularly known on Instagram for her love and precision in inversions, Lara and her teachers help students literally reach new heights wherever they are in their yoga journeys. YogaStream is a studio that welcomes yogis/yoginis of all ages and practices and provides students with the tools to delve deeper into their physical and mental practice. The door is always open at YogaStream, a place where you take a class and find a home in an energetic, positive community of people.

I love everything about Lara and Yogastream! Even though I now live in Connecticut, I stop by Yogastream on my way home to and from NJ every time I travel so I can take a class. THAT's how much I love it! I've practiced yoga from NYC to San Diego and there is truly nothing like Lara's Yogastream style. She consistently challenges me to grow my practice and her focus on proper alignment is unparalleled. The space is beautiful and the community is awesome!

This is THE YOGA place to go in Princeton! Once you have taken a YogasStream class, you will find it difficult to take a regular Vinyasa based class anywhere else. YogaStream's focus on alignment and form, combined with cardio and athleticism make this the perfect experience.
The YogaStream experience begins when you walk in the door and greeted by the incredible staff. After a class or two- you become family.
