Central Fitness provides custom programs based on the individual. We believe that one size does not fit all when it comes to fitness. Every person has different needs and different bodies, and we help you with your goals in a manner that suits each person we are blessed to work with.
At Central Fitness, we know that exercise science is evolving all the time. We study and learn, experiment with new equipment and new techniques, and use our expertise to develop exercises and routines that address our clients’ needs specifically.

I just celebrated my two year anniversary of working with Michael. I am so glad that I started working with him. He is patient, kind and always challenges me. I appreciate that every session is different, a good mix of cardio (my favorite) and strength training Michael is a good listener and is committed to making sure that exercises are explained in a positive and affirming way. After two years, I feel more confident and strong. I always feel better after a session with Michael. Now my sister has joined me in my sessions. The best! The place is very clean, and full of natural light. I highly recommend Michael and Central Fitness.

Central Fitness is perfect for people who don't want to step foot in a typical gym. I have been working out here with my sister and Michael, the patient owner of Central Fitness, for close to a year and a half. I started coming when I saw how strong and fit my sister had gotten after working out with him.
Michael accommodates both of us (mostly me) with tailored exercises to strengthen and tone. He challenges us, mixing it up each time, while keeping an encouraging, easy going vibe. It's a nice balance.
The place is spotless, convenient from downtown/old town/UNM and it's never a problem to park. It limits the amount of excuses those of us who resist exercise can come up with. :) I highly recommend.

Central Fitness is great! It is a well-kept and fully-equipped gym. Both Michael and Crystal care about their clients, and the gym atmosphere is welcoming and supportive. I started working with Crystal almost two years ago. She started by talking to me about my goals (strength, balance, coordination) and the sessions are always individualized. The sessions are also wonderfully varied, so no getting bored. Crystal is patient, encouraging, and really knows what she is doing. I am definitely in better shape because of working with her, and now I can’t imagine life without Central Fitness.

Crystel is a wonderful trainer. She personalized the program according to my weakness, and I could discover and learn a lot about my body. It was only 5 sessions as I stayed in Albuquerque for short time, but if I go back there I'll take the lessons with her for sure. Thank you Crystel!

Michael is a fantastic trainer. He took time to understand my fitness goals and create a program designed for my needs. Our workouts are always challenging but fun, and they're different every time which keeps things interesting. He gives me exercises/work-outs to do between sessions and checks in via text (at my request) to help hold me accountable for doing them. This last year I was pregnant and Michael tailored my sessions over the course of the pregnancy so that I was able to continue working out safely all the way up until a few days before delivery. I cannot recommend Michael and Central Fitness enough!
