The workers were nice but something sleezy is going on with corporate or management. Had to restart my contract based membership like 3 times and so I cancelled, now another year later they say I owe hundreds of dollars. Don't waste hundreds for a mediocre gym

My wife and I were informed by staff that month to month membership can be cancelled anytime. I asked the staff member that we will be only here for 3 months. We also asked if there are any other charges within those 3 month periods we need to be aware about. Again just the month to month payments. Found out that annual fee will be pulled for both of our member ships within the 3 months. We requested to cancel within a week of starting, unable to cancel without paying the annual fee AND 60 days worth of membership from enrollment. To be noted per staff, when you start it’s a 60 day notice, but once that 2 months is done it will be a 30 day notice for cancellation. We have been lied to and key information has been purposely held. When the manager was confronted about this, we were informed to email him and he will submit this to corporate. We have submitted multiple emails to the manager with no response. It has been about 2 weeks since the initial email. So yet again, lied to. Short term people, stay away. In fact anyone should stay away, you’re just a number. Unfortunately we will remain members due to the annual fee remaining per the staff we conversed with due to our timeframe.

I canceled my membership with Crunch Fitness, but they still charged me more than what was stated in the email. When I tried to address the issue, they blamed it on my bank. Make sure you go in an SIGN to cancel your membership. They told me I was good and they are liars. Now they keep billing me and say “I never showed up or signed anything”. On August 7, I took a friend to open a gym membership. During the process, he was informed that a credit or debit card was required to be kept on file. My friend did not have either due to very specific circumstances.

The person enrolling my friend told me that the card was simply a requirement, that it did not have to be charged, and would only be kept on file. Under those conditions, I agreed to let him use my card only after receiving several confirmations that it would not be used for billing purposes.

Soon after the membership was completed, however, the worker who enrolled my friend informed me that if my friend did not pay cash, the card would be billed. In other words, he completely reversed his statement as soon as the membership was finalized.

I called the next day to have my card removed and spoke with a worker who identified himself as Matt. Matt insisted he was certain the enrolling worker had told me the card would be used for billing purposes and claimed I had never been told otherwise—despite the fact that Matt was not even present during the transaction.

If you ever find yourself in this situation, do not fall for the same trap. I was assured about four different times that my card would never be billed.

This constitutes misrepresentation under basic consumer protection standards, as the terms under which I provided my card were materially altered after my consent. Any subsequent use of my card for billing purposes without my express, informed authorization may constitute unauthorized charges under both the Electronic Fund Transfer Act (EFTA) and applicable state consumer fraud laws.

Fortunately, because they would constitute unauthorized charges, there are ways to prevent or reverse the charge, but doing so would likely cost my friend his membership. The gym has some positive aspects, but the customer service is undeniably terrible.

Really bad experience in this gym. I decided to cancel my training membership and the manager agreed that my account was canceled with the training and my balance $0. Then like a week later I see a charge of $270 in my bank account. I called them but he said that he didn’t know why that happened. I ended up canceling my membership after this. I’ve been texting and calling the manager but he avoiding answering me. This happened in February and still I have no type of resolution.

This review hurts me because compared to the other gyms in Las Cruces, Crunch Fitness does a great job. This 3-star will change to a 5 star when they fix their locker room problem. The urinals in the men’s locker room are terrible. They are the type to shoot pee back on you no matter where you aim or how you shoot it. The only success I have had is pressing the water and shooting it to the side with the water running. What’s worse is the urinals have caked on yellow which is an indicator that they are not being cleaned regularly. More often than not, they have a plastic bag over one as well. Once this problem resolves itself and the urinals are regularly cleaned as well as no plastic bag over any urinal for a month, I will circle back and change my review and stars. Gym wise, it has everything you need. A great gem in little Las Cruces.

Went to this gym for years, overall pretty disappointing.

There was a female instructor/trainers who would be there for a personal workout blasting music on her own portable speakers -- this happened often, really weird.

It was consistently dirty with hairballs and debris everywhere, sometimes bathroom flooding, always out of cleaning wipes, most of the time there was just a roll of paper towels and spray bottle.

Service was also lacking, I spoke with one front desk employee about upgrading for tanning and asked about what kind of UV lights they used and his response was sarcastic and condescending.

Later, when I tried to cancel my membership I was still charged for multiple months after. Spoke to a manager, emailed a GM to no resolve really. Will never return or recommend.

Its a nice place to workout. Wish there was more space in betweensome equipment. Other than that, I love the separate group classes they have. Its always a pleasure to see Miss Michelle for dance class. I have learned new step for line dancing. I tried the pm zumba classes but felt like I was at a mean girls movie. I would like some yoga classes in the evening. Saunas and massaging chair are AMAZING!! Staff always greeting even if they seem to be occupied. I appreciate you guys.

I gym itself is in great condition, but the group classes would benefit from significant further development, and not so many unannounced instructor cancellations. The customer service is also subpar. I’ve been trying to cancel my membership for a week now, and no one there was able to assist me, or give me a straight answer. I went in person, emailed, used the app, and called multiple times to the LC location, and received no replies, or assistance. I just kept getting redirected to someone else.

Been my gym for years. I moved over from planet fitness. It's a bit noisy, they have the grunting and slamming of weights you'd expect from a real gym. It's often crowded but they have so much space and equipment that I can usually do the workout I had in mind.
I can't comment on the trainers or the exclusive area because I don't do those. They do have showers and a nice sauna that they recently added to each separate locker room.
One weird thing about this Crunch location - they share the strip mall with a chile roaster, so it usually smells... unusual. I stop noticing after the first 10 minutes or so.

Used to be a clean gym a year and a half ago, back at this gym and it seems like no one ever cleans, tissues all over the floor and little trash, the restrooms never seem to be clean and weights all over the gym. Very disappointing to be back and for this to be the gym I used to love so much.

I'm enjoying my membership at Crunch. I mostly attend the classes, and they've all been awesome- especially HIIT with Priscilla, Dance with Michelle, and Zumba with Elena.
The staff are friendly and helpful. I love the perks of the sauna and hydromassage, wish it was longer than 10 minutes.
Would love to see an open house about how to use the equipment and machines for newbies like me and maybe more yoga on the schedule.

Great gym with a wide variety of equipment and the upstairs area is nice to stretch and get away from the crowds. Lots of weight and cardio options. Lots of group fitness too. For the price, you get a lot. It's undoubtedly the best budget gym in town. I just wish they had more weekend classes, like weekend cycling. I get it depends on the availability of instructors so it's just a suggestion to offer more weekend and Friday stuff for those of us who work 9-5 all week. The daycare is first come first serve. So you might have to wait to start your workout/ miss your class waiting for a spot to open. I haven't personally used it, just an observation. The crunch one kickoff is really just to sell you personal training, not to create a workout plan you can use on your own. I was fooled by this as it's advertised as a way to start your workout and nutrition plan here so I don't recommend taking them up on it unless you want personal training. They do have quite a few trainers. The one I tried no showed me so I canceled the service but the manager did try to make it right. Overall I recommend this place! It beats planet fitness for sure.

They made me wait 20 minutes to use a free trail and never talked to me so I decided to leave. They had earlier called me in the day to offer me a free trail at their gym. When I walked in and try to use it the girl in the front told me that she didn’t handle that and that the person in charge was busy. She told me to take a seat and wait for him. The two that were busy finished talking to the person. Both went to the check in area and nobody ever came to talk to me. I only had an hour to go workout and they waisted 20 minutes of my day having me sit there. Why offer a trail pass if they are going to make me wait that long and never even get to me.

Half of the stair steppers are broken, along with several treadmills, and some of the weigh machines and have been for at least several weeks. The bathrooms were out of soap for days. There is some decent equipment here, when it works, but I'd really consider elsewhere given all of the maintenance issues if there were more reasonably priced gyms around Las Cruces. I prefer it over the other "judgement free zone" gym chain, but I am really disappointed that equipment and materials are not addressed in a timely manner.

Be warned. They will scam you. Their system doesn’t work well with some banks and it kicks back payments. This happened to me a few times and I kept having to go down there to get it fixed. Finally, on the last time, I went down there to cancel my membership. The rep who “helped” me convinced me to stay by offering to waive my yearly fee and give me 6 months free. Two days later I found out they took almost $100 dollars out of my account and went I went down there again to get help they basically told me there was nothing they can do, they have my money and they’re keeping it, and they ended my membership.

This is a nice gym! All the equipment in it still seems relatively new and 95% of it is in proper working condition. They’ve got a few olympic lifting racks, a few normal racks, a load of dumbbells and free weights and a nice turf/pad area to do tire flips and pulls etc etc. Really not that expensive either when you compare it to other areas. I have been going to this gym since opening. The customer service has slowly been getting worse. I was annoyed this morning as I seen a second annual fee being processed even though I have a processed annual fee as of yesterday. Called the desk girl answered explained situation she said she can only see one on my account. That doesn't fix my problem that my bank says one processed and another processing. I asked to speak to manager. She said he would say the same thing cause that's a corporate thing. Told her just please have the manager call me back and hung up. This gym is huge and very clean. Nice selection of machines and weights. Tons of cool classes. Childcare is on a first come first served basis as there's a limit to how many providers per child, so you may have to wait to work out if you bring your child. It's also not included in your membership, it's $10 per child or $20 a month extra. The app makes things easier to plan workouts, get ideas, join challenges, track your fitness, and book classes. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I'm glad I joined and I'm excited to get back into shape with Crunch!

Crunch is a great gym with lots of good equipment and a good atmosphere. I needed extra motivation to get me in the gym so I signed up for a personal training package and I am so glad I was assigned to work with Isaac. Isaac has a great positive attitude that helps my motivation and makes working out not feel like a punishment. I have already learned a lot about how the different machines/exercise variations work different muscles, and learned a lot about how to improve my form.

So after a month here and a full set of personal training sessions I gotta say, this place is pretty cool. They have the equipment you want, classes of all sorts, massage table and tanning bed.

Plus all the personal trainers here are great. Mine is Issac and he is worth every penny. Whether starting from nothing or have some experience, he will show you how to get to where you wanna be. Highly recommended!

I recently wrote a scathing review of this gym, however, due to recent improvements, I am revising it. First, as before, I have an excellent trainer, Richard (He came in second for best trainer in Las Cruces)! Also, although this gym is located in one of the largest pods of agressive panhandlers in Las Cruces, Manager Adrian is doing everything he can to control agressive behavior towards Crunch members. Finally, I am not giving this Crunch a five-star review because it is still not as clean as it used to be, and it is still impossible to contact the owners via phone if there is a problem that is not being addressed by management.

So I don't usually post bad reviews unless I believe that it could help others, especially when it comes to ur children... Let me start by saying that this was my daughter's first time at the daycare and all was good until I picked her up, dropped her off without any injuries, picked her up with a busted bottom lip! When I confronted the staff they had the audacity to say they thought she came in with her lip like that, on top of that they only told me that she ate some chalk. I asked what happened, did she fall or get hit cuz eating chalk shouldn't cause a busted lip.. I asked to file an incident report the lady said we don't have those, but I escalated to the GM. He did fill one out but was very dismissive bout the situation and said I've never had any problems, kids get hurt sometimes from what he said. I asked to check out the video to see what happened to my daughter he said he couldn't cuz of the other kids, and that he would follow up... Here's the sus part the lady said I didn't have to pay the 5 dollar fee soooo why did my daughter end up with busted lip.... Do better Crunch!

Excellent variety of machines, weights, and training equipment. I was pleased to see a wide variety of people - something good for everyone. For these reasons, it can be a little crowded, but I have never had to wait for machines. (Also, be patient with the front desk staff when you call. There is usually one person trying to handle 3 or 4 people in person and 1 or 2 phone calls. But they will do a great job of it when they get to you!)
Personal trainer Ayoub is *spectacular,* and I am grateful for how he compassionately but firmly pushes me to improve.
Class leader Henry is a leader who models good gym culture, and makes it easy to do well!

I read the reviews before joining and had a couple concerns. The place isn't too crowded as much as it seems to me the culture has shifted. It used to be that working in with others on equipment was the norm. Now, people use phones, eat snacks and everything else between sets. If you aren't using the equipment, get off. At least look around to see if there is an opportunity to let others work in.

My wife uses Kayla as a personal trainer and she loves her. She has created interesting and challenging workouts that my wife "enjoys." We aren't spring chickens and Kayla is very good at modifying her workouts to avoid irritating my wife's achy old bones.

There is more equipment broken than I would like and I am confident Crunch would like. You have to be living under a pretty big rock to have missed the problems we are having with the supply chain right now.

They have a ton of equipment so that there is room for growth for anyone. In fact, I read a professional review of them that said they were not for beginners due to their endless choices. I think endless choices is accurate.

The people are very friendly and helpful. Hence the 5 stars.

They are great. Please bring back the paper towels and sanitizers back. It doesn't mean COVID era is over to not learn from the past and change habits. It was a hard lesson and people changed. Overall you are doing good.

Used to be a really nice gym. Unfortunately it's become very neglected. Building smells very unpleasant as soon as you walk in and machine after machine is broken. After talking to some long timers, they say some machines have been broken for months to almost a year. At least 3 or 4 maybe even 5 stair masters are busted and multiple machines and cables, some are not even labeled as broken. Unexcusable.

CRUNCH FITNESS stands out as one of a kind place to workout. There's quite a variety and plenty of exercise equipment to choose from, including dead weights. All of the exercise equipment is well-spaced and maintained. There's exercise equipment for beginners and a challenge to all to stay in shape. I arrive to change in the locker room and it’s closed due to cleaning (in the middle of the busiest time of day). I get on a stair master that’s sounds and feels like it’s about to fall apart. So I have to move to the next one. Why is there punching bags if there is no room to access to them? They are in the middle of everyone lifting weights. I will not be coming back to this gym. It is way OVER CROWDED AND RIDICULOUS. Find me at Bionic Barbell where I don’t have to worry about any of these issues.

The best Zumba/Dance workout I have ever been to. The instructor Erika es wonderful. Now I don’t live in las Cruces and this class is one of the activities I miss the most!

Positives for this Crunch Fitness is cleanliness, friendly staff, variety of machines, and the competence of the trainers.
I had an injury that needed some support though proper exercises. With the help of the training staff, I almost fully regained my abilities and expect to make a full recovery.

I wish that they weren't money grabby and greedy, when i tried to cancel the guy at the front tried hard to get me to not cancel, and then charged me for another month and cancelled my membership, i appreciate the speedy service but taking my money isn't very nice or honest
