My husband and I have been here for about a month and I cannot say anything bad. It has been such a great experience! Never have to fight crowds for machines, all machines are HIGH quality (e.g., Arsenal Strength), all members I have encountered are in there to work and never are just in the way like you see at commercial gyms. Dwain is a pool of knowledge and Simon/other staff are very friendly. Being around such a high caliber atmosphere makes you take your own workouts to the next level and I am already 10lbs down since signing up. It has been the best gym we have experienced and happy it is close to us!

Been here 9 months with my Dad, have not had any issues. Owner is awesome very welcoming make you feel like family since day one. Members are very respectful and many just start talking like you have been there for years. I recommend this gym even though I come from Rio Rancho it's worth it and better than the gym we used to go to that was 5 minutes away.

Coming up on 9 months here, this facility has everything you need. The gym is clean all the time, there's always towels to take along with you. Everyone is respectful and there is never a need to watch your belongings. If it's not your nobody messes with it. There is always movement because everyone works in there. Never have to sit waiting for things to open plus he has multiple machines to do same exercises. My work offers a significant discount for some gyms. Unfortunately this is not one, however, I would still choose this gym so me and my son will continue to be part of this gym.

I just finished a trip driving around the country. I went to a gym in every city I visited and without question Designer Bodies was the best gym out all. The equipment is phenomenal and staff is fantastic. The owner Dwaine knows the bodybuilding business from every aspect and is super nice and full of great stories. This is a great place to work out! I've worked out in many gyms over the years and I will say this is the most purely fitness oriented place I've subscribed to. Regardless of your experience level, or your goals Dwayne sees to it that you have a comfortable environment, a knowledgeable and skilled staff on site, and top notch equipment to help you along your journey. The gym is sometimes pretty busy, but never overcrowded and everyone is generally focused on their workout rather than making it a social hour that slows your routine! Their are some really impressive physiques here, but it's also very friendly to us average folks who just want to put in the effort, and in my experience those who are already in great shape are friendly and helpful to those who are new and finding our way. As I mentioned before, the equipment is top tier, and is always in perfect working condition and is clean and sanitized know matter how busy it is!!

After training here, I can never go anywhere else! The gym is clean, the staff/ owner friendly and knowledgeable, and the equipment top notch! The gym is a great place to lift with many varieties of equipment. The only reason for not giving five stars:
1) hours of operation are slim especially on the weekend
2) Personal training is not personal at all. The owner tries to work in with you during your session. At the same time he tries to run the gym.
3) Political propaganda should never be part of a business discussion especially on social media.
Serious bodybuilders go here and it is a great environment for seasoned athletes.

I went to this gym and broke out in hives. The smell is terrible. I went to my allergist and he asked if I was exposed to any new cleaning products or detergents. I couldn’t think of any and then remembered the terrible smell at the gym. I reached out to the owner to ask which products they used and he assured me it was “all natural”. After speaking with other people, I learned that it’s Fabuloso. Fabuloso is horrible for respiratory health in and can cause issues as well as allergic reactions. It’s also not suitable as an antibacterial or antiviral.
I’ve talked to other gym members and they had to stop going because of the smell. It’s so strong that it sticks to your clothes.

Please consider using a scent sensitive product that also kills germs 🙏

This gym has been a game changer in my life! Dwain’s nutrition program and approach to exercise facilitated a net loss of 30lb of body fat over a 4 month period during my program. Due to family obligations I have been out of the gym for the last 3.5 months, however I have been successful at maintaining the lifestyle and weight lost during my absence from the gym. I am working with Dwain on nutrition and personal training and it has been going great so far. We popped in to see what the Gym had to offer Me (69), and Hubby (77). The gym had every machine you could imagine, infact it, was quite crowded with machines. We were told it's mostly a body building gym. It was not busy, we saw 1 customer and 2 employees. This was around 11:45 am. The young man we talked to was very pleasant and recommended we go to another gym. Pssst, a little pricey. We will go back to our gym across town.

I probably would have signed up for this gym, but I never lock myself into a gym membership until I try out the facility. You never know what the crowd is like, how busy it is when you need to go etc. Dwayne, supposedly the owner answered when I called to ask if I can try the gym for a week. He tells me it's $15 per day or $50 for the week?? Really?? Seems like they're not worried about having dedicated members and just worried about stepping over dollars to pick up pennies. They would have made more letting me try the gym for a week and having me as a member for years since I just moved to ABQ. I'm not a New Years resolution type member. Oh well Defined and Chuze let me try theirs and this one actually seemed better because it's smaller. But I would never get a membership after being told I can pay $15 a day or $50 for the week. Guess the big corporate gyms win again.

In my 75 years, I have gone to quite a few gyms, and Designer Bodies is the best I have experienced. The equipment is top of the line, and the premises are always spotlessly clean. What has impressed me the most has been the friendliness, patience and care of the staff, and especially the trainers, all of whom have extensive understanding of human physiology that enables them to design fitness programs tailored to the particular needs of their clients. People of all ages and fitness levels can find what they need at this gym, including excellent guidance in nutrition. I have been training with Dwain for two months and am experiencing much more energy and enthusiasm through his nutritional guidance and exercise routines. What’s more, I have been much less bothered by arthritic aches and pains. Living in an aging body is actually becoming a positive experience, thanks to this facility and the people who keep it running (and also to the other people who work out there).

During a recent stay in ABQ I was so happy to find Designer Bodies- there aren’t many places like this left in the gym world- all the stuff you need, none of the fluff and stuff you don’t. A true testament to his knowledge, training and dieting techniques! Care to improve your physical fitness and appearance? Now you know who to turn to! WELL DONE, DWAIN!!

Phenomenal fitness facility!! In full disclosure, I've known Dwain since we were teenagers growing up in small town Greensburg, PA. I finally traveled from Pittsburgh to Designer Bodies World Class Gym, and was not disappointed in the least. I've trained at no less than Gold's Gym, Venice; Gold's San Diego; Gold's Las Vegas E. Flamingo Road and Red Rock, Las Vegas Athletic Club, many L.A. Fitness places, dirty hard core gyms, and high priced fitness clubs. The equipment is top notch. To my amazement, I saw and used pieces of equipment I've not seen anywhere else. I never knew such fantastic equipment existed. The gym is clean. The wash room is clean. The change room/shower is clean. He's even got some futuristic scale that measures your weight, BMI, % body fat, weight in muscle and fat, and a host of other data!! This is not just another gym slapped together. No, this place was meticulously and painstakingly designed to provide the best in fitness!! And then there are the motivational, transformation posters that line an entire wall. These are everyday folks, like you and I, that decided to change their lives for the better. (I'm not sure Dwain realized I kept looking at the posters between sets.) I had the best leg workout, shoulder workout and arm workout I've had all summer!! I was like a kid in the candy store with this equipment, and I'm still sore! And on top of all that, I learned new techniques by listening to and watching Dwain. Care to make drastic improvements in your health and physical appearance? Go to Designer Bodies World Class Gym. I feel confident saying this is THE best gym in Albuquerque. And if all that wasn't enough, I even had dinner at El Pinto. I must say "Thank You" to Dwain, his wife Doris, their son Nikko (whom I met when he was about 15, and then dubbed him Mr. Personality due to his outgoing demeanor), and of course Dwain's adorable granddaughter Chloe (who called me Doe!). It is more than a gym ! It’s more like a family. Everything about this place is amazing . They made my husband and myself feel very comfortable. The equipment is top of the line . I was so worried I would never be able to get healthy . I have fibromyalgia and it has been so very hard to loose weight and exercise but The owners are truly caring people and I am loosing weight and I am feeling great. I needed help with everything . I didn’t know where to start but they did. There is no other place like this in Albuquerque! It truly is amazing . They have helped me with everything . Nutrition ,supplements and exercise. The whole package is the best I’ve ever seen. I can’t say enough about Dwain and Doris. Doris is my trainer and she makes the workouts so fun and for me that is a miracle. Dwain is the owner of Desinger Bodies World Class Gym, let me tell you how incredibly inspiring all the trainers are! They are always giving so much! and not asking for much in return. Awesome attitudes, every time I come in everyone has smiles on there face ready to make each day count! great gym.. very clean and from the get go can tell that the gym is serious about health and wellness. Customer service is at a high point with everyone knowing each other like a small gym facility should be. Great place to train. Bring your own milk and they can even make shakes for you. Commercial Fridge for members to keep food or drinks. Water is essentially tasty. Equipment very up to date Prices for programs range from low to high and is based off each persons needs and wants.

After a consultation with the owner for personal training and nutritional planning, the owner required a full payment for 12 weeks, which came to almost $3,000 per person for both my spouse and I. The services to be provided were a personalized exercise program and nutrition plan, weekly weighins, weekly review of food journals, including a medical condition and fitness assessment, before photos and body measurements and things would be adjusted if needed.

The owner has failed to follow industry standards by not creating and maintaining client records such as fitness and medical condition assessments and used in reference to the provision of services to clients. The owner failed to take before and after body measurements and photos of both my spouse and I. The owner failed to provide a personalized exercise routine, and sound nutritional plan for both my spouse and I and also failed to meet regularly as promised. My stability and core training was setup with a trainer after which the owner allowed me to workout with "his athletes". The owner failed to properly train, and instruct us both on use of equipment and lifting techniques because he was not physically present for training. My spouse was to be training for a show however a month in was told he wasn't ready because the owner wanted him to weigh 240 pounds. My spouse and I attempted to go over our nutrition journals and biomedical analysis printouts, however the owner failed to make himself available to sit down and discuss.

When I asked for a refund on the owners lack of services, I was told they do not give refunds. It was at that time the owner then decided to discuss any changes to the training and nutrition however never reviewed the journals or printouts. I am one out of others who have been ripped off, and no longer train at Designer Bodies. I recommend that anyone thinking of utilizing their services that you speak to current and past members and clients, as well as contact the Better Business Bureau because their services are not worth it.

I came to DB looking to get in better shape and possibly doing a bodybuilding competition. When I arrived I was met by the best gym staff I have ever encountered. Jordan is the best front desk person I have ever met. I opted to start working with Dwain based off of his knowledge of the sport. He has been nothing but helpful. I have learned so much from him in the few months I have been working with him. Even as a seasoned weightlifter I have been learning. I have been going to Designer Bodies World Class Gym for several months now. I have seen huge results and I feel 100 times better. My personal trainer and nutritionist, Dwain Kindelberger, is the best of the best, his knowledge spans from over 35 years of experience and he is very inspiring and motivating. At 45 years of age I really didn't think I would be able to get back into shape, however Dwain is proving me wrong. I have committed to 1 year and I can't wait to see what is ahead of me.

I've been through a couple gyms since I moved to Albuquerque, some good and then others didn't have what I was looking for. Designer bodies world class gym is the best gym I've ever been to. I've never been to a gym that had gym staff and the owner himself greet you and motivate you on a daily basis! Gym members are all super friendly! And the equipment they have is top notch compared to any of the gyms I've ever been to. The motivation and comradery is awesome! Designer bodies is like a second home to me and it's like being around family. It's never crowded which you never have to wait for a machine to be open (which is SUPER AWESOME!) and super clean. Price is right! Great atmoshpere! I love the new Hoist Roc.It machines that feel mechanically perfect on my old joints along with tons of free weights!
