I've been to many Planet Fitness locations in many states...

This one is the worst I've been to. Bathrooms are absolutely deplorable...often broken always dirty 🤮

All the good employees left because they werent paid enough. Your music is too loud, everyone has headphones any way, only old people don't, and you're not even playing music that old people wanna hear. bathrooms are filthy.

Been here for an hour waiting because it says they open at 4am. Carlsbad, NM. I made all the effort in the world due to working so early but they just ruined my morning. Now I’m here with my pre workout at its max and in my truck waiting. I Feel like an animal in a cage because you guys can’t open at the time you guys posted.

This used to be the cleanest gym ever. They are having a change in management, so I was told, and now it’s disgusting! I’m thinking about canceling my membership. The workers are just standing around eating all the time now and sometimes forget to turn on the music. The bathroom is gross and every machine, above and below has an incredible amount of dust bunnies and sweat drops. Its nasty.

To the reply: I was told that there isn’t a manager at the moment to speak to. Hopefully you’ll take care of it as the owner.

Not just the best PF, this place is one of the cleanest gyms i’ve ever seen. Worked out for an hour watched the girls here cleaning non-stop, equipment all in top order, fantastic experience.

Gym dosent have AC! You get the run around about its getting fixed, its been months! You leave reviews, they say tell management which is well aware of the situation. Save your money and go to another gym! Place is ridiculous!

For the last 2 months the AC has not worked at all, they have fans that are not even on most of the time. When asked about the AC they say they will fix it but haven’t. It’s miserable and hot inside when trying to work out here. I’m planning to reach out to corporate if it’s not fixed soon!

Been trying for months to have my membership changed to be Carlsbad as home location. Between 4 different employers had 4 different excuses why they would not be able to complete this. But wait there’s more… on of them said if I signed up for the Black Card Plus membership that it would eliminate the issue cause I would have unlimited access. Well guess what I did and the very next month I was told I wouldn’t be able to use the gym cause my home gym was still not changed So enjoy the extra $4 I pay now for no added value.

I want to leave a very special review for Planet Fitness and especially for the manager, DENA PATTERSON. Everything in this gym is simply amazing: the cleanliness of the facilities is spotless, the atmosphere is motivating, and the staff is extremely polite and helpful. DENA leads with such a positive energy that you can feel it the moment you walk in — and that makes all the difference.
I’m confident this place is on its way to becoming the best gym in all of New Mexico. Big congratulations to the whole team for doing such an excellent job!

I’m a truck driver so parking is always the first concern, this place was good with that. Showers were hot, place was clean, water fountain cold, and equipment was good. If I could complain once it would be to add some blinds or something for the sunset, the sun was blinding and a lot of machines are facing right into it. Please don’t tell me to talk to the front desk either, I’m telling you here and that’s what this is for, fix it or don’t that’s your choice. Good location!!

It’s a new facility with good parking space and there is space for hotshot trucks or RVs behind the building or park at Lowe’s right beside the gym.

Arrogant young lady took my phone call. She was highly uneducated as well. She put the phone on her shoulder and left me hanging without letting me know I was getting ghosted. It’s whatever it’s the same everywhere. I hung up and I won’t pay a membership with this place. That’s the bottom line.

The facility was nice but the staff were rude. The girls that were working never greeted me or said one word to me. They were on their phones the entire time and they were loudly talking about people and judging them. Planet Fitness pushes that they are a judgment free zone, but yet their staff was judging people and not even trying to hide it. If you work the front desk at any business, you are the first thing people see when they walk in. It might not be like that all the time but that was my first time being at planet fitness and I was not a fan. A simple “hello” or “have a nice day” would have been nice.

Needs more than one hook in dressing room- seperate ones for clothes, toiltry bag, purse, towel..; machines seemed more over used;did not particularly like layout; the Lowe’s entrance from the highway is dangerous and not a lot of parking
Addendum- sorry- I got mixed up on the planet fitness and wrote this review on another one from a nearby town. I DO like the lay out and I saw that the dressing rooms were across from the showers and had 3 hooks, chairs and mirrors.

An excellent experience at Planet Fitness, Stephen was so helpful in checking us in. We are tourists from overseas and it’s tricky to access a few things with our UK phone numbers.

My experience at Planet Fitness has been very disappointing. When I signed up, I was informed that the monthly fee would be $10, but I was later surprised to see a charge of $25. To make matters worse, on October 1st, I received a charge of $52, which turned out to be an annual fee that was never mentioned to me during registration. Additionally, I have noticed other ongoing charges that I don't understand.

To make things even worse, I left my belongings in a locker with a lock, and when I returned, I found that they had been removed and my things were missing. When I asked the staff for help, they told me there was nothing in lost and found.

I feel that the lack of communication and customer service has been very inadequate. I hope they take these situations into account and improve the experience for their members.

I really can’t say enough about how awesome everything is at this gym, from the top of the line equipment to the friendly staff who go above and beyond and out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. Not to mention how beyond fairly priced their rates are! Would recommend to anyone and everyone, no matter where you are in your fitness journey or age. Thanks PF! I travel the US and have been to many PF locations. This gym is fine, it has great parking, the equipment is in good shape and the staff were very friendly during my visit. I used the shower and it was hot and had better pressure than many PF locations i have visited. The gym is moderately sized and has a good amount of equipment. If they were busy, you might wait for some machines. I was very happy with this PF and will gladly use it when in the area.

The gym isn't bad and the night staff is awesome but their computer has been having glitches and charging me for things I shouldn't have been charged for and I have been double charged but this planet fitness absolutely refuses to give a refund. I'm not the only one this has happened to and I've tried contacting regional managers, the owners of the club and have had no responded. I've even contacted news channels. This gym is thievery. But the night shift people are nice.

This gym is small and over crowded...for the same price you can go to choose and have a better selection of equipment...NO classes and customer service is rude...

So I found out they keep a writen record of you...if you ever complain about anything Bill, other customers, broken equipment etc...they write it down and goes in a permanent record.

This place is clean. Staff is friendly and helpful.
There’s only one free weight area with about 6 benches. There’s 3 Smith Machines, 2 Cable Machines in the main area and at least 2 of everything as far as machines go for upper and lower body.
A lot of Cardio machines, and AB machines. They have pretty much anything you could need for a good workout. I have had to get creative at times but there’s plenty of space to do so.
I feel comfortable to workout freely. I have seen a few meatheads but they mind the rules. Which I enjoy. Over all good clean place!

Have seen from other reviews this is a new facility. Will say overall it's definitely spaced out very well so there's more than enough room to work out and get in between the different machines. Also the bathrooms were very clean and the showers had hot water and good pressure. If I'm in the Carlsbad area again I definitely will frequent this location.

I went as a guest with a member to check out if I wanted to get a membership too. It looks really nice inside. Has that new building smell. They were informative with questions I had when we first came in. My only problem is how the associates handled my concern with my headphone case being stolen after my workout.
I want to emphasize that It is NOT their fault my case was stolen. Though, when I asked if anyone had brought it up the woman associate opened her drawer and ate popcorn instead of responding. After a moment she said no and walked away to laugh with her coworker. Being ignored didn’t feel good but I didn’t want to make my experience any worse. So I asked to leave my number and was able to just in case it was lost and not stolen. For me going to the gym is where I decompress and honestly this is carlsbad, theft is unfortunately part of living here. I wouldn’t go back or even consider joining their membership because of the service. If you have minimal contact with the staff or just don’t get this worker I’m sure it can be worth the membership here.
