Course was nice....grass was healing while we were there so had to hit around a couple fairways. Straight runs, bunkers near some greens, greens are big. Nice 9-hole course for beginners! Staff were very nice and plenty of carts. We will be back!

Stopped coming here with my dad cause the kid working the carts acted like a grumpy old man and drove up harassing us to hurry up on the last hole to get the cart back. We had literally only been sitting in the cart for less than five minutes enjoying a sunset together.

When your dad gets older you might understand how important those moments are kid.

HIGHLY unsafe course. This is a City - tax money - funded course with huge safety issues and a staff that has been incompetent for years by leaving them unresolved.

- The back fence for the driving range is only 15 feet tall and a little under 250 yards from the placement of the tee boxes for it. On the other side of the fence is the starting tee box for a hole on the course. If you can hit further than 250yds you will land on the other side of the fence.

- I have had multiple staff members from the course tell me that people have complained about balls going over and almost hitting them while golfing, and just today an older gentleman working the register told me that he has almost been hit from balls going over while he was out on on the course. So the staff is clearly aware of the issue, and I'm sure has been for years.

- There are no warning signs or anything about being careful not to hit over 250yds, and I have occasionally seen a worker come out and ask someone to stop hitting over the fence. This is ALL the corrective action that is available, and by that time people could have been hit on the other side of the fence already. So the staff doesn't have a competent plan in action to secure it's customers on the course.

That this hazardous course is taxpayer funded is sad. The City should pull funding until the problem is fixed, and I'm sure a fix can be found even as simply as raising the fence or installing netting that extends above the fence. It's a disregard for the safety of it's customers. Also, the other city courses tend to be kept in better condition and can offer a better experience than Puerto del Sol. I highly recommend Ladera.

I’ve played here twice and it really is a very nice public course. The first time I played was on a Thursday and it was Fantastic, Beautiful greens!! I took some my brother in law on a Sunday and it was less fantastic. I called and asked if they had a left handed set to rent to my B-in-L and they said yes and they charged $10. The “set” they rented him included a putter, and a hybrid and TWO 5 irons (one of which was a junior club). That’s it! Really? We paid over $60 with a cart and you couldn’t let him use those as a courtesy? Also, not in anyway a knock on the course, but there was a very enthusiastic audiophile in the neighboring apartment complex absolutely abnoxiously jamming Spanish music for you to hear on the entire course. Point being, if you go it’s likely best to go during the week when the audiophile is presumably working or sleeping and bring your own clubs.

Horrible experience today. Marshall came to us on hole 5 and said if the lightning gets close don’t risk we will give a rain check. At the green of hole 7 lightning was 5 miles out. We called and they refused to give a rain check!!!

The front desk staff here always seems to be the in the worst mood, no matter who happens to be working. It's like they got the short end of the stick working at Puerto versus any of the other city courses and are salty about it.

As far as the actual course goes, you gotta go into this knowing what to expect. It's a 9-hole city course and you can tell. The fairway and greens aren't the best, but it's pretty affordable so how much can you really complain?

I give it 4 stars for the playability/price and 2 stars for the grumpy staff.

The fairway was not well maintained even in the middle of it. (I'll give it a 2.5 stars)

Hole 3 (the one there's a big big tank on the left side of fairway) green was under maintenance, while the temporary green was not mowed at all, you barely can put.

Hole 9 is right by the highway, be careful not to drive your ball out to it (a local guy played with me did it 😂)

Played twice this weekend. Saturday was mint staff was helpful no issues during play. Sunday played a four and we were hit into. Staff was still ok. Though I thought the marshal should have reprimanded the dangerous golfers behind us. (As she was cruising the second fairway, where a member of my group was narrowly missed by a ball) Still a fun course with gas powered carts!

Worst golf course in Albuquerque and even worse employees. Went for a nice round of 9 holes and got interrupted 3 times by the "marshals" questioning how many balls we hit per hole and whether or not our shots came too far out of bounds on a slice. We were also told we needed to play faster because employees were playing behind us and they were fast. Worst golfing experience ever.

I really want to love this course, but as of right now, it's probably in the worst shape out of all the city courses. Fairways on most holes are not in great shape. It was so bad that I told myself I won't be going back there again this year and hopefully they get the grass situation figured out next season. I love the range though and during the summer, the night range is an awesome option, but gets pretty packed sometimes. It's a fun nine holes to walk, but right now I can't give it more than 3 stars because of the condition.

Probably the best nine holes to learn and get comfortable on the course. Supposedly the old timers hated the fact the water tower was built on hole 3, and then they realized they could hit the top of the water tower with the right wind and the ball would land right on the green.

This place resurfaced it's a putting green for practice 3 weeks ago it looks great and is wonderful to practice at. Just to the south of the clubhouse they have an excellent chipping green. The course seems overly dry and hard. The ball rolls quickly and far, but plays well. Under these conditions, the greens are fast and add another measure of challenge to your play. Make sure winter rules are observed. Be very careful about your divots. Have fun and as always, hit them straight.

Everything was fine, staff seem really engaged, care about service and try hard to please.

Things moving at snails pace on the course, no fault of anyone. Lots of duffers spraying balls in every direction. Sunday golfers just happy to be out of the house.

Friendly staff make the crowded experience not only tolerable but fun. Orderly starts, relaxed atmosphere, and reasonable costs makes it a desirable course to play, in spite of the crowds.

We were really disappointed with this golf course. We went with a group that had a few beginners, a visitor from Australia and my grandfather so we were going a bit slow. There wasn’t anyone around and we would have been happy to let others go ahead of us, but yet they sent the course “marshal” to push us along, watch us and followed us the whole time. It was really uncomfortable and we didn’t even finish the whole game we paid for because it ruined the fun, especially for those who were beginners. I would suggest going to Isleta, Belen or any other golf course.
