these people advertise themselves as "not for profit", but if you want to make a donation based, not for profit offering at their space, they charge you 50$ an hour for the space, which is higher than plenty of other yoga studios. this kind of lack of integrity is shameful

While staying at a nearby RV park, I joined four yoga classes at his studio, all vastly different, all amazing. Welcoming and warm instructors. If I lived here, I would be a regular.

A couple of weeks ago, our whole family did a trip from the Midwest to the Southwest, ending with a few days in Santa Fe. My teen daughter and I had a chance to take two classes here - with Mariela and Kai. They were both amazing in different ways! Thanks to Kai, I can now do standing half moon without blocks, yay!! Mariela was awesome with her stories and personality and her sneaky challenges that you didn't see coming. We would absolutely come back to this studio for more classes if we return to Santa Fe!

This is where I first started practicing yoga! Excellent space for beginners-and yogis in all stages of practice. A super welcoming space with teachers who are focused on the spiritual nourishment of students. I hope to return one day when I am back in Santa Fe! Thank you Santa Fe Community Yoga!

Kaya is back on Tuesday at 4. I would walk miles to be in her class. If you have never done yoga she is a great place to start. I also like Nichole on Monday at noon.

So far I've only taken Edie's Friday class. It is amazing. Edie is so fun and full of good energy.

The space itself is set back and surrounded by trees and plants with a walking mandala out front. Inside, there's an anteroom with cubbies for your effects followed by a spacious studio space (the floor is cork, I think) with a skylight and good heating/cooling depending on the season.

They have mats you can rent and all the blocks/straps etc that you'd need. Love it.

This studio was so cute! Great teachers with different styles. I tried so many varieties! They also have a lot of donation yoga for those who can only give what they can!

A true gem in the yoga community. Different vibe to each class and teacher, something for everyone. Very adorable very welcoming. I came for one class and never looked elsewhere ! Likely my favorite studio I've ever practiced at this far. No judgement, no frills.

Hands down (weight evenly distributed, haha!) THE BEST yoga studio in town, in my experience. Why? First, totally free of that "more-yogic-than-thou" snob vibe some places emanate. Also, richly diverse array of classes/teachers/styles/scheduling. Plus, clear info and reasonable procedures, all well-encapsulated on the website. Cherry on top is the outreach via Yoga in the Schools. For locals and visitors alike, SFCYC is a total winner!

The Santa Fe Community Yoga Center is the perfect place if one is looking for a no-fuss, relaxing, and committed environment to practice yoga. Different types of yoga are taught seven days a week on a flexible schedule. The instructors are all experienced, motivated, and dedicated to providing engaging and personalized instruction. What I appreciate the most about the instructors, besides their courteous, friendly demeanor, is the care they place in answering my questions and furthering my understanding. I was a true yoga neophyte when I enrolled at the Center in November 2014 and, though I am still at the beginning of my journey, I have learned so much since and I am enjoying every minute of it.
Last but not least, the prices are unbeatable. Check it out!

I have attended classes at SPANDHaARMA, as well as, Yoga Source. The quality of their instructors pales in comparison to those at Santa Fe Community Yoga Center. Where I found other studio's instructors sipping lattes and more resembling a drill sergeant than a yogini, the instructors at SFCYC's reliably demonstrate a commitment, a sincerity, as well as a soothing and healing presence rivaling only their remarkable and unwavering compassion. I have experienced this to such a degree that I number SFCYC amongst the most significant factors in recovering from severe depression. I have found it's students welcoming and possessing a camaraderie I've looked and found nowhere else in Santa Fe. The seclusion and tranquility of the studio's setting is a wonderful way to start my morning, as well as a welcome relief come the end of a hectic day. SFCYC offers a positive, focused, and effective alternative to Santa Fe's sometimes groping spirituality: I have experienced other studios spirituality to be tepid, fleeting, overbearing; as naive as it can be heavy handed, as shallow as it can be altogether absent. For those with no OM to call their own, I recommend Santa Fe Community Yoga Center as a sensible tool to build greater compassion, a greater sense of personal well being, as well as an aid toward developing a supportive and lasting sense of community.

P.S.
I recommend considering the definition and history of the word simony. Also, SFCYC is a wonderful OM for those in need of a good, physical, and restoring exercise. I hope you will consider these words and bear in mind the numerous ways SFCYC provides low cost service to our city.

P.P.S. ...or zero cost, in the case of the Yoga In Schools Project.
