I have been training at this gym since January. I am a coach of many soccer teams in yorktown and I find the coaching by Lou and his son in law to be top notch. They care, they are friendly and they make the workout fun through humor. The setting is a small group setting. Most of the time there are only 4 people at a time. It’s coed
And everyone is very friendly. They are great at working on your weak body parts . They also allow you to push yourself to higher weight if it makes sense and is safe. If you are unsure I recommend taking a chance with the four free sessions before you commit.
Another great thing is that if you need to change your schedule they are extremely flexible.

It is life-saving. I'm stronger at 75 than I have been in years. Yesterday, I played 18 holes of golf in an outing, and I played like I did years ago. I've been avoiding getting on the course because I was not feeling strong enough, but now I'm back. I'm looking to get out again next week.

Luis and Dan are knowledgeable about fitness. I used to chronically injure myself when working out however, I I have never been injured since I’ve been going to 50 plus training

Luis is a very knowledgeable, fun and patient trainer who has the best results in mind for me . And investing in the upkeep of my body and muscles strength is for me money well spent.

I had not worked out for a fairly long time. As I approach my 75th year on this earth, I decided to devote myself to get into better shape. I was apprehensive at first, but Luis has been patient with me and has given me confidence that I can accomplish my goal. I would highly recommend that anyone trying to stay active go to 50 Plus Training and Luis. You will not regret it.

Anyone (regardless of age) who wants to “reverse the spiral” and get healthier & stronger should join up with Luis! Definitely try Luis if you have a sedentary lifestyle or a joint injury that has discouraged you from exercising. In a very short time with Luis, I can now do things effortlessly that until recently were hard or impossible, and I’m overall feeling better and losing weight - without having to go to spin classes, running on treadmills or going to smelly gyms! We’ve also worked to improve a joint injury and I now have much better range. Exercises are low impact but challenging - intensity tailored to your particular level. Luis cares about his clients, is a great motivator and brings a super sense of humor. There’s a reason why he is getting consistent 5 stars!! Working with Luis is a great decision.

It started with a friendly welcome by the head trainer and owner Luis, followed by the other participants which quickly turned into a team support group. You get individual attention while working together with a small group of 2 to 4 individuals 50 years plus. From day one I feel energized and stronger after my workouts!

I started working with Luis last summer, when I decided it was time to supplement my several daily walks with more extensive exercise to work on balance and strengthening. I was never a fan of gym or exercise classes, but I knew it was time for me. Now I am almost at 10 months of training twice weekly with Luis. I can only rave about his training, his facility, his knowledge and kindness. He maintains individual programs for each of his students and helps all of us reach goals and stronger bodies. I cannot say enough about how this program has helped me in mind and body, and I have made this investment in myself and will continue. Thank you, Luis!!

I kept running across 50 plus training on the Nextdoor app. I knew it was just what I was looking for. I wanted a small group setting with a certified personal trainer. As a 60 year old woman who was looking to work on strength training, I knew I needed someone who would work with me and show me the correct posture and position as I was doing each exercise so I would not get hurt. I finally reached out to Luis and it was the best thing I did. After my 2 free trial sessions, I was hooked. I have been going twice a week for about 2 months and already feel stronger and like I’m well on the road to achieving my fitness goals. If you’re considering reaching out to Luis just do it! Lui (50 Plus Training) is by far, the most knowledgeable and easy to work with trainer. Your goals will certainly be met by following his guidance, whether it be resolving a mobility issue, or a long-term fitness improvement. I have personally benefitted from Lui’s expertise in mobility, strength training, and nutrition. He has helped me resolve both shoulder and back issues and guided me on how to properly strength train without aggravating old injuries.
Most recently, I threw my back out, and within minutes of contacting Lui, I was provided with video instruction of stretching and resistance movements, customized to my situation. The first day of completing these exercises I experienced immediate pain relief and increased range of motion.
Lui is an expert in his field and genuinely creates a customized program for each of his clients. On top of it all, he is the nicest guy I’ve ever met.

40s/50s couple:
When my husband and I decided to become more active, my husband found Luis' 50+ training website.
Aside from feeling better and stronger and from losing weight (everyone who hasn't seen us in a while, comments on it), working out is finally fun. And it happens in a safe and private environment- our own home. Luis creates a personalized workout that is realistic and challenging. As an older mom of young children and a professional, I can conveniently stay home and improve my health in midlife right next to my family.
Luis is very passionate about health and nutrition, and his enthusiasm and his being a good example of staying fit are highly motivating.

You cannot get a better Personal Trainer than Luis! I started training 2 years ago and wish I would’ve found him years ago.
I have lost fat, become much more flexible and have gained muscle. At nearly 60 years old I am in the best shape of my life thanks to Luis.
