I was a member of this gym for over 10 years with no issues. To be blatantly disrespected and screamed at mid workout by the owner is so rude and a disgraceful. Don't spend your money here!

From the Gold Gym in Venice to the southern Mecca in FL up to Bev Francis and The CT Powerhouse, I have trained everywhere in the last ten years. This gym is world class. Phenomenal equipment, extremely clean, and overall great environment. My only complaint was I was asked to pull over my hood on my hoodie. I was cold as I am bald, lol Overall great gym.

I love going to the gym but come on employees clean those freaking bathroom they are disgusting they need to be clean women bathroom is horrible how can u expect them to be use like that they have been like that for months when was the last time u clean them??? This gym hasn't been updated in like 20 years and usually smells. They always have Fox news on one of the only 5 stations they play. I cancelled my membership and will not be returning. You should stay away too.

It's not the prettiest and it doesn't have the latest and greatest. But this facility is treated me very well throughout the years. It has more than enough equipment for the majority of your exercise goals. For the price you can't beat it. Biggest complaint is that it could definitely use a facelift and the superfit Zone should just be a place for everyone it doesn't offer enough for anyone to pay extra for it. That room is so nice, I think a better use for it be group classes. Like kickboxing or yoga.

Staff is very pleasant and helpful. Lots of space to workout and good machines. My ONLY issue is some of the other people there that like to play on their phones on the equipment for 15-20 mins so they will do a rep or two and and then sit there and play on their phones. I leave my phone in my vehicle locked up and honestly others should do the same because it’s annoying wanting to use a piece of equipment and someone’s just sitting there playing on their phone! Should be a rule there! People caught playing on their phones lounging on the equipment lose gym privileges for the month!

AFF offers a large array of machines, dumbbells, and racks for you to get and stay fit. While they do routinely add new equipment, that typically is paywalled behind their premium Superfiit membership, however every now and then the main gym would change slightly.

The establishment did struggle with overall cleanliness, as well as overcrowding but got the job done and was cheap during the time they offered their student plan. The utmost concern given personal experience as well as numerous (more people than not, even the loyal ones) complaints that rules are arbitrarily and sometimes rudely enforced.

Really enjoyed this gym up until recently. Went in two days in a row, both days my card wouldn’t work for two different reasons. The first day the employee tried telling me my membership expired, even though I just paid it. She said “our system glitches let me fix it” The second day I was informed a note was placed on my account for “leaving weights on the floor”. So apparently they pick and choose who they speak to, the ONE time I left weights on the floor was when someone else left a machine loaded full of weights and I took them off to set them right next to the machine I was trying to use. Whoever the employee was that “watched” me do this couldn’t address me about it, but they can look up my membership and put a note on my account about it. Its not a problem when people load a ton of weight on a machine for it to be the next person’s problem, but it’s a problem if you try to utilize that machine after someone didn’t pick up after themselves. Didn’t realize I was a paid employee of this establishment and it was my job to put away equipment I didn’t use. Tried speaking to someone about this because it’s beyond frustrating and I got shrugged off and no answer. Definitely will be switching gyms after this.

I love how many machines there are. There is a lot of stuff to try out here. They may be really old but they sure make u sore!y only problem is that the machines look like they should be cleaned more often; there’s always cobwebs or dust on them. Went to the gym here for about six months, every area was always clean and was always able to get my stuff done. First off, they offer a free month for a 5 star review.Trying new gyms in the area, might as well have stayed where i was. Staff was not informative & kinda rude yes i signed the agreement upon signing up but dang i signed up 2 days before the monthly charge date paid 20 then two days later another 20, had fun while i was there for 3 weeks then got accused of not reracking my weights. They blocked me out of certain areas then i asked why i cant get in just to be hassled with accusations about not reracking and using chalk i had no idea i couldnt use chalk as there was one little sign in the back of the leg room. I always re rack and organize plate size on what im using because its annoying. So i go to cancel then get charged 40 maintenance fee for the 3 weeks i was there… fine better off with literally any other gym old equipment 10 more a month to use new stuff plus its overcrowded after 4pm and they close at 10pm. Go to court jester better experience there all together 2 locations literally every way better.

This is the best place in vestal but not saying much. The owner has never seen a piece of equipment he didn’t want to purchase. The gym is crowded. Locker room smells like 1979s urine and anything after. It’s better than planet fitness but that’s literally because they allow squat racks and no other reason. You’re better off buying kettlebells and doing your own thing

I went to this gym with my mom to try it out as she has a membership. I went on a Sunday & I am so glad I did because I met one of the workers, Lindsay, and she answered all 100+ questions that I had, showed me the different rooms and equipment, and I noticed she was very busy keeping the equipment clean & making sure the paper towels were filled for cleaning! She made me feel welcome and was very knowledgeable. I brought my friend in and we both joined last week!

Thos place is a joke. I joined and was not pleased. Everyone that is employed is not friendly nor do they give you a tour of the facility or show you how machines are properly used. So I go to cancel my subscription which I was told $19 to cancel but then want to charge me for a maintaining fee. I did not even use the gym for even a month. So calling a lawyer as we speak and will dispute charges.
