About the Club

Apex Human Performance is a private personal training, physical therapy, and nutrition center, with intelligently integrated health and wellness disciplines designed to optimize your performance — in life or in sport.

All of our personal trainers are accredited, experienced, and possess Degrees in Exercise Science.

The club, an open loft space located on the 6th floor of 226 East 54th Street (between 2nd and 3rd Avenues), affords privacy for every member.

I can’t speak highly enough of Apex. After spending too much time out of the gym during the pandemic (and experiencing multiple athletic injuries in the few years prior), I decided to get the H-Fit Assessment and training plan, and the results have been incredible. The assessment gave me more knowledge and answers about my own body than I’ve ever had before, and the customized training and meal plans got me in the best shape of my life. Andrew was able to plan workouts that specifically targeted and strengthened areas that were weakened due to injury and I’m the most pain free I’ve ever been while also being leaner and stronger. I’ve never received so many compliments on my body and absolutely feel like the most confident version of myself. Worth every dollar for the improvements to my physical and mental health and I continue to go back for updates to my plan or advice when needed.

Apex and its staff are some of the best trainers that I have ever worked with. Whatever your goals are, Andrew and his team will help you achieve them and then some. Personally, I wanted to put on 10/15 pounds of muscle while also losing some body fat. Every week, Andrew created a comprehensive workout and diet program. He would also craft my workout schedule depending on my work as I often travel during the week. Some of the movements in the workouts were new to me. With these new movements, Andrew was incredibly patient and made sure that my form was safe and proper. He even helped me improve my form on movements that I had been doing for years. His emphasis on making sure that my movements were safe was very reassuring and frankly needed more in the fitness space. Andrew also helped crafted a specific diet tailored to my goals and taught me so much about how certain diets and foods affect the body and how they align with my specific goals. But above all else, Andrew and his team were incredibly accommodating during the COVID lockdowns. Even during all of the gym closures due to the COVID lockdowns, Andrew continued to help me stay in shape with structured home exercises and diet programs to help me keep on pace with my goals. I can proudly say that after working with Andrew for about 12 months I was able to achieve and surpass my goals. I currently in the best shape that I have ever been in my life. Thank you guys! I've had the privilege of being taught by (and teaching with) some of the best professors at Harvard, Columbia, and Cornell, and some of the best martial arts masters globally (including the US Olympic Tae Kwon Do Team’s former Head Coach). I can say, without reservation, that the team at Apex Performance brings to their personal training a comparable level of wisdom, expertise, and personal care. (Also, each trainer possesses a Master’s Degree in a fitness-related discipline differentiating them from the deluge of dime-a-dozen so called trainers out there!). I’m fifty now and am fitter, stronger, and more flexible than I was ten years ago. And, pain from old injuries has nearly disappeared so I am extremely grateful they took me on as a client three years ago.

I recently signed up for Apex' H-FIT test, which is by far the most comprehensive physical assessment I've ever had.
Andrew and his whole team are ridiculously knowledgeable, kind, patient, professional and caring. It's obvious that they take a lof of pride in what they do. They spent several hours with me going over everything, and responded all of my (many) questions with educated and detailed answers. I feel a lot more set up for success now in my quest for a better health.
I also appreciate that I didn't have to deal with pushy/tacky sales tactics, an astonishing feat within the NYC gyms landscape (if you know you know).
If you're really serious about your health, and can swing their services, you should absolutely go for it.
