Very happy with BK gymnastics.

My 4 year old has been coming since she was 2 years old. She LOVES the teachers. They are all so kind and patient with the kids. They did suggest she switch classes and we listened to the advice of the teachers. My other daughter 8 has also blossomed and excelled. We do recreational gymnastics and have never been pressured to join this team. I have never witnessed anyone being unkind. The woman leaving the "racist" review we have a child in the same class and my husband would never have tolerated anyone being racist. Quite honestly we would never stay at a place that treated children differently. It's highly inappropriate to say someone is racists when they suggest your child isn't ready for a specific class.

My child has attended classes here for three years and is a member of the boys competition team. This gym has a boys competition team, which is hard to find in this area. Gymnasts travel from all over to train here and the level of instruction is superior to what we’ve experienced at other gyms. The instructors are caring, patient and knowledgeable. I ended up signing 2 more of my children up for classes here because we’ve been so happy with the program!

This place has been super amazing with my nephew, they helped him grow more as an individual than he already was . They were patient and kind to him the whole time he's been there and now he's doing wonderful competing in competitions and all . They deserve nothing more but the best review in everything. I applaud this gym immensely. You guys got my vote on all ends. Also my nephew is as well a minority . I don't know about these other two ladies that posted on here but they are wrong for trying to attack this fine gymnast coach. He's very kind and caring and he only promotes children if he feels they are ready to head up to the next level. Everyone has to understand there are rules and regulations for the safety of the children. Some may need more time some may not . All in all never rush to have your children to become the best of anything let them take their time because then that's when their best outcome shines. ❤️💪🏻

My daughter has been coming here for almost 3 years now. I joined because of a friend and the girls love it and they do the summer camp as well. Every year, my daughter is sad when it ends and can’t wait for it to start again. The coaches are amazing and the owner is very helpful with any questions or concerns we have.

My daughter joined here when she was 5 and loved it so much - the coaches and staff are absolutely outstanding she is now 9 and still cannot wait to go to gymnastics- i enrolled my son at the age of 3 and he loves his class and coaches as well! I wanted to start off and say that this gym has changed my son’s life! My son has been attending for 2.5 years now and he has blossomed into such a promising gymnast at the age of 8! I’ll be the first to say that my son, having special needs, is NOT the easiest child to deal with. He has high energy and trouble processing specific instructions given to him. Coach Kieran (the owner), and the other coaches, knows exactly how to handle him and bring the absolute best out of him. My son has gone to win many competitions and is now the division state champion for NYS!
They will not move children up to the next class or level if they are not ready. If moved too fast or too early, this is setting the child up for failure in the sport or can lead to a serious injury. Any other gym willing to move children up fast is only looking for a money grab without your child’s best interest in mind.
I recently read a review accusing them of blatantly being racists. The teams are made up of many children of all different races and backgrounds…. And many of them are VERY talented! Seems like someone was upset their little sunshine wasn’t old enough to join a class they weren’t ready for.
If you’re looking for a place where your child will be supported and well coached in their gymnastics journey then this is the place to be!

I have 2 grandchildren who go to BK Gymnastics. My 8 year old grandson has been working with Coach Kieran and his staff for 2 years and has done nothing but thrive under their leadership! In fact he became the NY State Champion for his level this year. My 4 year old granddaughter is also in classes for her age group and loves it! I highly recommend B K Gymnastics for anyone looking for a gymnastics program for their children.

I have been bringing my daughter to BK for over a year, we started off with the mommy and me classes and have just transitioned to the tumbling tigers. From the first day she transitioned to the tumbling tigers , she was constantly targeted and the coach had zero patience with my 2 year old. She is also the only black girl. This place definitely does not cater to minorities. The coach did not seem to know how to handle working with small children. She also came up to me talking down about my daughter saying she was not ready when there were other kids playing around and not listening. If you want someone to cater to your small child that may get distracted easily DO NOT BRING THEM HERE, this is saying alot being that most 2 year olds have a short attention span. The coaches do not know how regulate the classes properly. Also it is very dusty and smells terrible. The bathroom is the most sanitary place there. The kids are dying from the dust and parents from the terrible smell in the waiting room.

My granddaughter was treated very poorly and was discouraged to returning to the classes after attending the school for over a year. . The instructor's are not equipped to work with minority children and it shows in their lack of patience.

Our son has been on the boys' team for 7 years and has become a Level 10 gymnast who will continue competing in college. His coach is knowledgable and has a passion for the sport! We're so glad this gym has a boys' team as many gyms no longer do.

With new ownership has come some improvements and updates inside the gym. Parking lot is tight, but that is a landlord issue.

Our son will likely come back during college breaks to train and help out the younger gymnasts.

BK Gymnastics is nothing short of spectacular! The new owner has brought a breath of fresh air to this gymnastics center, and my children absolutely love it here. The dedication of the new owner is exceptional, and it shows in the quality of instruction and the welcoming atmosphere. The instructors are not only highly skilled but also incredibly nurturing, ensuring that each child feels confident and motivated. Hands down it has been one of the best decisions for our kids' physical development and enjoyment. We couldn't recommend it more!

We recently had our first experience at this gym over the summer of 2023. Overall, we had a positive experience, but there were a few things that could be improved.

•The waiting/viewing area has a potent odor. I confirmed with my child that the odor was not present in the gym itself.
•There is only one single-use restroom in the waiting/viewing area. This could be inconvenient for families with multiple children.
•The parking lot lanes are narrow, and parking is limited. I saw the owner or manager crossing the street to another parking lot to retrieve something from his car.

The instructors were laid back but organized. The kids seemed to enjoy themselves and made new friends while testing out their abilities.

Now that it is September we decided to turn to another gym that was recommended by my DDs friend. I am not sure if will return but hopefully the management team at BK can consider some of the points that I mentioned for existing and new customers.

The young children's class is just a free for all. The parents chat in the lobby while the kids run around and all you hear are the instructors (sometimes there's only one of them) calling for the kids who aren't listening to sit down. Then, the kids who ARE listening just sit there waiting for the instructors to rally everyone up. They get so bored that they all come out, one by one, asking to go to the bathroom five times each. I gave it a shot for a season but after last night, when my child had another child smash into her while their parent just chatted with the other parents, I won't be coming back here.

Just a suggestion, ask those families to get their stuff together before coming back. I heard my child's named called twice in a row ONE TIME and I immediately brought her in the lobby and said we would not be coming back if she couldn't listen to the instructors. It's a gymnastics center, not a baby sitter.
