By far the best Barre studio I've ever been to. I've taken many different forms of Barre for close to 10 years now, and I'm thoroughly impressed with how advanced Barre3 is. The studio is immaculate, well organized and has 3 very effective formats to try (with all 3 different style of classes offering a full body workout). The instructors are amazing- so professional, friendly, and encouraging. The classes flow so smoothly, the music is great, and they always give modifications, which really helps because not everyone is on the same level.
From the front desk to the instructors, they all bring a fresh and positive energy that is very welcoming before and after your workout. If I could give 10 stars I would!

I always try to find places to exercise when I'm on vacation, and I was away for a weekend last year and found a barre class and thought it sounded fun. I left with exhausted jelly legs and inspiration to find a barre studio when I got back home.
I go to Rivertowns Barre about once a week for a class (on occasion I'll take advantage of their streaming options too), and it has added a lot to my already active exercise routine. I find it to be different from a lot of other exercise programs, with high challenge but low intensity, so that you're not hitting your joints hard, but you ARE using a lot of muscles and feeling really intense burns! The first class I was looking at the clock by the time 15 minutes were up, hoping we were almost done, it was so intense! Now I can make it at least a half hour before I start to weep and check the clock!
All kidding aside, you leave Barre feeling more than a little challenged, with your muscles fatigued in a good way. It will help strength, balance, posture, toning, coordination, and always ends with a few minutes of meditative breath work to help you cool down and get back out into the world.
And there's a bagel place a few blocks away to reward yourself before you get home!

Bravi Barre3!
Due to various injuries, I hadn't been to a barre class in years...what a delightful surprise to find Barre3 and the newly certified instructor Maria Fugel! The class was sufficiently challenging, but easily modified with Maria's recommendations being offered seamlessly while the class continued without interruption, to avoid any self-consciousness.
The entire experience was wonderful, from Dalton in reception, to the other participants and a beautiful, well-appointed studio environment. I wish I lived in the area, as I would be a regular. So happy to learn about Live Stream.

Love this studio, the staff and the classes. I always leave feeling refreshed and ready for the day. The instructors are all so great about explaining things, and each one brings their own uniqueness to keep things challenging and interesting. I thought this would be something I could do 2-3 times a week but I find myself coming back 4-5 times a week and that alone speaks for itself!

I'm so glad I joined barre3! I just wish I'd joined sooner. Only 40 or so classes in, I'm already seeing improvement in my muscle tone, mobility, and posture. The workouts at barre3 serve as perfect cross-training for me as a runner between the cardio bursts and emphasis on glute, hip, and ab strengthening. The low-impact nature of the exercises also makes me feel safe from the perspective of avoiding injury, which is important. The workouts are certainly challenging, but never grueling. And the constant changeups keep me from ever getting bored...the time really flies. Carly's positive energy and dynamic workouts at 6am (most days) put me in a great headspace and allow me to go to work feeling more nimble and powerful than I used to. And then Elena's Saturday class kicks my butt in the best possible way! Beyond getting the best workout of my life, barre3 is a place that I feel welcome and supported. Everyone who teaches and helps at the front desk is so kind and friendly (especially Olivia!) What's more is that Becca is a business owner with integrity, and it is clear she values creating a strong, safe community in the choices she makes. (Her cardio classes are also fantastic -- surprisingly grounding and calming for such an upbeat vibe!)

I was skeptical about trying a barre class but it was one of the best decisions I’ve made. In addition to feeling stronger and more confident, it was the missing piece to fully healing from my autoimmune disorders, which had been improving but were kind of stuck in limbo, until I got into a routine of going to 2+ barre3 classes weekly. My blood work shows it, with all my inflammation markers back to normal, but most importantly I feel it and currently I do not have any symptoms. I also can see/feel/activate muscles I never knew that I had! The first class can be very challenging depending on your current fitness routine, but coming back each week it begins to feel more doable and more rewarding, still challenging and the great part is that it can always be challenging as you are able to modify it for your needs. I have even gotten myself to go to (and enjoy!) a 6am class which I never thought I’d do — but the evening class times are late enough that I can make it there after work without having to rush and that’s huge for me. I love the strength class and that it allows me to feel strong while actively building on my strength. The signature Barre3 class is also great and forces me to be totally present in the moment, and the message of *listen to your body* is emphasized throughout, which is something I firmly believe in.

I am a runner and was looking to add a second form of exercise that focuses on strength, toning etc. In the past I have not been a fan of exercise classes - couldn't keep up with routine, was adjusted too many times and felt like everyone was better than me, etc. I also have a bad lower back that can go out if I am not careful and am always worried about being vulnerable to that.
I tried barre3 out at the urging of a friend who, full disclosure, is an instructor there, but I signed up for a package because I really liked it. The studio was clean, almost spa-like (!!!), my classmates were a wide range of skill levels and I felt plenty challenged - but in a good way. Also, it is an hour class, which is just right for me.
Right now I am doing the 4/month class package because it's summer. But I can see increasing to a larger package come the winter when I am feeling less tolerant of outdoor runs.

I took the free week at Barre3 and loved the classes, so I decided to join as a member. I enjoy the fact that it is a full body workout that includes stretching, weights, cardio and a relaxing wind down. The class is challenging and is helping me with my goal of strength training. The venue is nice and clean. I highly recommend it.
I’ve completed 30 classes since I started. Every instructor I’ve had has been very good and supportive. I’ve started attending the Monday evening strength class, that’s exactly what I needed to build up my bone strength and muscle. Loving it!

Love this studio! I’ve taken Barre3 classes in two states and throughout two pregnancies (prenatal and postnatal). I credit this workout for my lack of back pain throughout my pregnancies and my ability to bounce back after. This studio has amazing teachers and staff, is clean, and in a convenient location (by the train, coffee and post-workout smoothies, and a playground 1 block away for the kids and hubs on the weekend). I also brought my infant to their play gym from age 3-6 months before he started daycare and the baby sitters were so loving and caring of him, and he loved it too! Highly recommend.

I had one week trial at Barre3 @ Dobbs Ferry Location. Everyone is so welcome and the teacher is very professional. I feel very relax and refreshing after each class. I have LOVED my reintroduction to barre (Barre3 specifically!) after a long hiatus with Covid and living remotely in VT for a few years, I’ve settled in Westchester and was thrilled to discover my west village favorite had an outpost in Dobbs. With a generous few new-member week, I pushed myself and attended 4 classes quickly realizing I didn’t want the fun to end. I snagged the 10 pack and have since converted some local mom friends to come aboard too. Becca and her team are lovely, the studio is sparkling and the experience even better than I remembered it. I love the concept of incorporating cardio, strength and mindfulness, not separately, but throughout the workout. As far as I’m concerned, the approach could also be referred to as barre4 since I have a bad back and never feel tight or uncomfortable after working out. Most of my daily aches and pains have disappeared… Totally hooked.

I love attending barre3 classes. I was looking to get into a new regular workout routine and wanted to find an in person studio and this is the perfect match. I used to do yoga but it is hard on joints after a few injuries. I love that barre3 combines mindfulness, strength training, ab work, cardio, some yoga stretches and meditation. It really is the best of all worlds and I leave every class feeling like I got a full body workout. The studio is always so clean and the bathrooms really nice. It is a great atmosphere to workout in. I am happy to be part of the community.

I usually do not like group classes, but I have had great experiences at Barre3. Exercises are safe, yet challenging and the instructors provide guidance throughout. I am recently getting back into taking classes and barre3 was such a wonderful experience. It is one of my favorite studios! First, they are doing an excellent job with Covid precautions. They have you fill out a health form prior to visiting and take your temperature upon entrance. The studio itself is kept very clean, and they keep you spaced out in the studio with all equipment necessary at your station! I will definitely be back!

I love Rebecca and the Dobbs Ferry barre3. The outdoor classes are amazing and they are so aware of safety for the indoor classes that are going to start up. I feel comfortable taking classes there because the place is immaculate. The instructors are stellar--i've never had a bad class.
Update: Since my first review, I have gone to several classes in the studio. It is incredibly well organized and clean. Everyone wore masks the entire time. Individual "stations" in the studio are marked with tape and you are assigned to a particular numbered station. I felt that the set-up was very safe and plan to continue taking the indoor classes.

I am so glad to have discovered barre3 in the Rivertowns. I used to go to barre classes in the city but Covid has allowed me to explore these classes closer to home and I'm so glad that I did. I really enjoy coming to Barre3. It is a well rounded class that hits all of your body parts in an upbeat way! Each class is different so you are always trying new things, while also challenging your body. Both instructors that I have taken create a fun environment to workout in. As an added bonus the bathroom has all of the little things you might need before and after a workout...deodorant, hair ties, contact solution, etc. Not to mention hand soap that smells delicious!

Great workout in a lovely studio! I run 15-20 miles a week but like to be active daily. It's a good mix of no-impact cardio and rigorous strength training that I believe compliments my running. The instructors are encouraging and kind-- answering questions during and after class. I appreciate that the studio is very clean and bright. It's a nice place to be!
