Best place in Westchester to learn the art of boxing and Muay Thai while getting fit. Does a good job balancing technical instruction with fitness training.

Mr. Belmar he is the one taught me Muay Thai and Boxing it helps me confidence, against bully. I want to learn Muay Thai and get in shape. Mr. Belmar said if I am not seeing him I should practice at least 1 hour and do battle rope, light weightlifting so you won't injured your back. I am doing Private training every Saturday in afternoon.

Great experience for people looking for a real workout and to see improvement in the mind and body. Iโve been here for about 5 years now and I can truly say I love the changes Iโve seen and the progress Iโve made. I have learned so much and look forward to more training with Peter.

Belmars is a really great gym. There are a wide range of classes from Boxing, muay thai, kettlebell and much more. The Owner and Trainer, Peter Belmar, is not just some coach who does it for business, he actually trained and competed in both boxing and muay thai and has several titles he won. The best part is the environment at Belmars. There is no pressure, no macho ego or any of that, its a place where you can come and get a great workout or train to compete for a fight. All the coaches are nice and make sure you get a hell of a workout. Its open 7 days a week. It also has a weight room, boxing ring, and heavy bags. I highly recommend this gym.

I absolutely love Belmar's! I must say that when I first entered this gym, I noticed that the environment was very friendly and that the staff and students were respectful and nonjudgmental. I had no experience in boxing, Muay-Thai or Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, but that all changed once the trainers (who were very patient) showed me all the fundamentals step-by-step. Over a short time, not only were my skills progressing, but I lost weight and became more toned. I also joined the Zumba and Zumba Strong classes, which involves fun and energetic workouts while moving to up-beat music. All the classes at Belmar's are amazing, I assure you! Whichever class you decide to attend, you'll soon see results, look good and feel good! You should really give Belmarโs a try, you won't regret it!

Best gym experience I've ever had. Peter is a world class trainer who helps individuals find their own style as opposed to force feeding traditional styles. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience that he's willing to share to elevate anyone's training. Classes are great and will push you to improve and work harder every session. Private training allows you to work technique and improve weaknesses . Great gym all around with great people. Make them miss and make them pay!

Before going to Belmars I practiced Muay Thai on and off for a few years, and was looking for a new gym after moving from out of the state. I've been going here for a little over a year now and can honestly say I've made the right choice as training here has helped me drastically improve my fitness and technique. Peter is a top-notch instructor who understands the nuances between individuals and fighters which helped add a new dimension to how I think about and approach learning techniques and martial arts.
There are a wide variety of class offerings here whether you are interested in improving physical fitness, self-defense, or learning the art. I've also attended the boxing and kickfit classes which helped kick me into shape as they are no walk in the park! The instructors are all very good in helping push you past your limit for any fitness level and are not overbearing. Open sparring is also available for those with some experience and want to practice and learn in a more practical setting alongside a friendly community all around.
The facility is also spacious and well-equipped with a studio-type area in the front, heavy bag area and boxing ring in the back, as well a separate weight room for any type of workout you might want to do during open gym hours.
I've heard that the best gym is the one that keeps you motivated to get there and strive to improve everyday which certainly has been Belmars for me.

I started training more than one year ago after moving to the States. I couldn't make a better decision! I love training with Peter in Muay Thai classes, after very hard and intense training, I feel energized and happy. I love Muay Thai and I'm learning a lot thanks to Peter's experience. A couple of months ago I also started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes with Elton. Even if I had zero experience, I'm having a lot of fun and I'm willing to learn more and more! I'm learning a lot of self defense techniques as well, you never know.. :) Furthermore, I met a lot of very nice people and, of course, I'm learning also from them. I definitely recommend training here, starting from any level of experience. To me, this place is restorative, physically and mentally.

I started at Belmars in September 2017 aged 43 feeling, well, at least 43!!
One year on I feel at least ten years younger.
The conditioning workouts are robust but a lot of fun with multiple trainers each offering their own take on this kind of Kickbox cardio - great atmosphere and a real friendly vibe.
After a couple of months of cardio I was able to add sparring to the training schedule which brought a whole new dimension to the fitness element, as well as amazing stress relief, confidence building and some much needed mental clarity.
- and itโs not about showing up each week and being beaten up either - donโt believe the hype, thatโs definitely not what this gym is about or allows - itโs an art form, albeit physical, and itโs carefully treated as such under Peterโs careful watch.
His ever present keen oversight and infectious enthusiasm are a huge draw - this ties all of the above together into a great package which is definitely value for money.
If you would like to put the spring back in your step and then some, improve co-ordination, self-confidence and general well-being, all within the setting of a great club atmosphere, you could be doing yourself (and your loved ones) the biggest favor right now, try Belmars.

Belmars is just the kind of no-nonsense, positive vibes, old school boxing gym I was looking for. Classes with Peter and Toni are great. They motivate, encourage, and train. The classes are a great mix of ages and genders and skill levels. If you want to go beyond the basics, you can with personal training. If you want a positive atmosphere to learn boxing, the group classes are a solid choice.

Amazing!!! Great facility, great trainers/teachers who are talented and knowledgeable! Great classes! Never have I left disappointed. It's a small gym, and by that I mean it's not corporate. You're not just another face in the crowd at Belmar's and the instructors work intimately with everyone. My girl and I go together and we like that there's a pretty even men/women ratio. Great place if your a woman who wants to feel comfortable and challenged!! Plus Yoga (as well as the other classes) is well thought out, music that's right on time and the instructors make you feel comfortable and welcome. We started about 6 or so months ago and it's probably the best thing we could have done for ourselves. We feel like we accomplished something after every class, not a minute gets wasted. Belmars is well worth your time, Peter runs a top notch dojo! Bravo Belmars and thank you.
