Gym is clean personal trainers are helpful management is atrocious. Due to health reasons I had to end my membership. They charged me a fee even though I have five fully paid personal training sessions left. I just paid November on the 1st and still a feee. Asked to speak to the district manger and I was given fake contact info from the manager.
11-5-24 response to review. I have tried to speak to management and I’ve been given fake contact information. I’ve begged the manager to have to district or area manager call me but they would rather steal money then treat clients with respect.

I use to use this gym but started working out at home, groups teenagers that are unsupervised hog the machines, Fool around, and are loud and distracting. Other people sit on the machines for about 10 minutes on their phones or stare at the t.v. there needs to be some type of order, these kids need to be brought under control and people need to be more considerate.

Nick was an amazing support. I originally went to Hicksville gym, but was unable to go to gym anymore. When I called, I got no help on canceling my subscription at Hicksville. However, Nick contact me as soon as he received my email (past his shift) and gave me a detailed instruction. He was a great help! Best costumer service. Next time I join back, definitely driving extra 10 minutes and joining Melville.

The gym was empty for that time of the day which was good for me. Most gyms at that time are usually crowded(6-9pm) is usually crowded. I got my chest and triceps exercises in. It was a solid workout session. The only thing I'm not crazy about is climbing those stairs especially with my bad knees. Great gym I hope to return soon. The gym is also very clean there are no wipes all over the floors, the manager Kinda and her staff are on top of their game and she's also very personable.

The main reasons of this review is to warning people of that I've been stolen at this gym two times in less than a month, first my glasses I left for 5 min over the sink in the bathroom and someone took it and the second time and the main reason that I left this place is because someone broke my locked and stole my wallet that was inside of my backpack, unfortunately is not Blink fault and Blink is not responsible for personal property being stolen.

I am new to this location and I like the gym. The staff greet me when I arrive and when I leave so I don't feel in visible. There is a wide variety of machines and weights and I never have to wait to use any machine.

Let me start by saying this location came highly recommended by friends/ family. I have been here as a guest a few years ago.

Signed up yesterday for a membership (in person) to hopefully use the gym this week. about an hour after i left i tried to add my card to my app & was greeted with the incorrect D.O.B, email & last name. I called once I saw the issue, but the nice man OTP (who i believe was also the person who signed me up - i have nothing against him, mistakes happen) was only able to change my D.O.B. & email. He said he was going to leave a note for his manager to contact corporate & have them fix it within the week. He assured me I wouldn’t have any problems if i were to come to the location before they fixed the name on file. I’m hoping for a good outcome & will update when I have any info.

The assistant manager I think her name was Samantha was very helpful in helping me with becoming a member and this gym is always clean and very efficient in Covid regulations.

Pretty clean, but one time this guy was dusting in high reach areas right where I was working out and dust was falling near me, that kind of annoyed me. Other than that pretty decent gym, lacking some equipment and wish they had a few more of the same equipment like bench and deadlift area because sometimes I have to wait awhile to use it. Its kind of a small gym, but overall its really not bad. People there seem nice and wipe down equipment after use. No real complaints.

Enjoyed my visit at this location! It was clean and I love how it’s on the second floor. Very updated, nice view of the 110. Convenient location and easy parking. I was also greeted upon arrival, Rashawn helped me out with checking it being that I was using a free trial pass. He also asked how I enjoyed it before leaving which this is the only gym that asked so I appreciate that. While I’m searching for my gym home blink is definitely in my top 3. I haven’t decided as of yet! Thank you BLINK I genuinely enjoyed the experience.

This particular location is ok. Its missing some equipment compared to others. There are no shoulder pads available for the squats so there is a high chance of injury. Also, there are no machines for the butt lifts. I always see people getting creative with the smith machine trying to emulate it. Hope the owner fixes these problems

I have been very impressed with Blink Fitness so far. Very clean facility and friendly staff. But by far, the best part has been my training sessions with trainer Tom Kim. Tom has made working out very enjoyable, and has helped grow my overall fitness, confidence, and knowledge of health to new levels. Highly recommend him if you are looking for a fitness trainer.

This place is so disgusting !!!! I saw someone take their mask off in front of the employee and the employee didn’t say anything! So far I’ve seen three people working out with no mask! When i first joined i was worried ab the location be too small but it was the closest blink near my job and school so i gave it a shot and thank god i did. I came from planet fitness, and this gym was everything that they were not. Everything is so clean and the environment is more relaxed while more serious about actually achieving personal goals. Some equipment is hard to get time on at peak times due to not having more than one of something, but its not that big of a deal bc theres always something else to work on

UNETHICAL PRACTICES

As many of the reviewers have already stated, please be careful with this gym. When one of my employees was having major health issues and couldn't use the facilities anymore, we sent mail as well as went in person to cancel the membership. The man at the front desk said he would process the cancellation, but conveniently the computer was not working at the time. We mistakenly trusted him, however 3 months later we received a letter from an attorney yelling at us to be more responsible and that we need to pay an 80 dollar balance or they would ruin that man's credit rating for the next 7 years. Because he couldn't afford to get his credit damaged (starting a family and buying a house) he paid the fee.

Now they have the audacity of still charging him for two more subsequent months in addition, because he now needs to formally cancel again. Ethically and morally this is completely wrong, and I would hesitate in supporting business that do not serve its community justly. As a consumer, please understand that there are businesses elsewhere looking to make you thinner, not your wallet and look out for their consumers. This is not one of them.

This is the type of business that you're dealing with, and I hope this at least makes you think twice in supporting this establishment.

I was treated so RUDE at this Blink location! I had to cancel my gym membership due to recent health issues. I went down to the Blink in Melville to cancel my membership and the employee said my membership was cancelled and I would not be charged anything more. A month and a half later I was charged my yearly and monthly fee. I went back down to question this charge and the Supervisor David said my membership was never cancelled and asked me for my paperwork. I explained to him that I never received anything. He replied “You should have read your contract”. He never apologized for his employees incorrect procedure or showed any remorse. His attitude made me feel so belittled!!! On top of that I had to pay another fee to cancel.

Really tiny, not enough equipment, (only 2 barbells in the entire gym). There aren’t even enough clamps to hold weights on the barbells. Locker room is always a disgusting mess and the bathroom stalls haven’t been been able to close since I started using this gym. Toilets usually look like The porta potty’s at a music festival, and the sinks are always covered in water and the hair from random people shaving. Never bothered to check out the showers since the rest of the locker room is always so disgusting. Their redeeming quality is having Lysol wipes around the gym to wipe down machines, but they’re quite often out, and the trash cans are usually overflowing. The free weight area is so tiny that if you have just 4-5 people there, it’s crowded. They don’t have nearly enough variation in equipment type, and the equipment they do have that you need to use, you’ll likely wait a long time to be able to use it. It’s not uncommon to see 3-5 people waiting around for barbel, or even just a bench. Employees are just there. Don’t really ever see them doing much other than walking around or sitting in an office. Don’t think I’ve ever seen someone actually cleaning up.

Joined in July 2017 and I signed up for a personal.trainer. My trainer, Audrey, was excellent. I was about 40 pounds over weight and she work according to my abilities. I felt very comfortable working out and she exposed me to so many different ways of working out with the quickest results. The gym was very clean.

Super clean place with nice equipment and nice people. Most of the time, you'll run into people who work nearby and come here for their lunc or after work workouts. Sometimes during the summer or school breaks, you'll get the college bros who likes to throw weights and grunt loudly.
