Generally I overlook at lot of the nonsense at this gym. Poor bathroom maintenance being the big one. They just really don’t stay on top of it like they should. In almost every occasion I find the regulars at the front desk to be pleasant, helpful, professional and just good energy. Marcus, Charlie and a few others that I’m not sure of their names. Helpful people and just generally pleasant energy. However, I came in early at a time I almost never come in due to Thanksgiving. Jessica who works at the front desk is straight trash when it comes to customer service. Tried checking me on the number of times I grabbed paper towels which are at the front desk. When I responded, she was rude, sarcastic and flat out refused to give me her name. Another of her coworkers was walking behind me and making some kind of gestures during our interaction and she was nodding her head to him while speaking with me. I don’t normally complain or try and get any one in trouble when it comes to work, but she didn’t even fake having good customer service. I’ve worked in management overseeing people in retail, call centers and healthcare settings. If I witnessed one of my employees communicating the way in which she was doing, they would have been terminated. Especially if I heard them saying to a customer/client “I don’t have a name” when asked what for their name.
I’m assuming she works the mornings, which I almost never go to the gym during those times. Being greeted or seeing her when I walk in would be a deal breaker going forward. I hate unprofessional behavior.

I went to this gym. Upon arriving, I was there. The equipment was there too, equipmentting quietly along the walls. I tried a treadmill for a bit; it moved, I moved, and then I stopped. If what you are looking for is a gym that exists, this one definitely does.

I recently started going to the Noho location of Blink Fitness. I was immediately struck by the cleanliness and overall appearance of the space. Everything was in such good condition and the gym was spotless. The front desk personnel are outstanding. Especially Jessica and Terri. They keep the place running like a well oiled machine. They are both professional knowledgeable and courteous. They are both assets to this company.. Jessica keeps the place so clean during her shift and she is just amazing. Terri is also an amazing person . He's always smiling. I actually enjoy coming to this location because of these two amazing human beings. Thank you.

Equipment is fine, occasionally one broken but fixed within a few weeks. Rising number of inconsiderate people slamming the weights whenever they can. Having signs up is a nice bare minimum but those people don't care unless there's enforcement.

A decent neighborhood gym, although many of its members don't clean their stations after workouts, and spend more time on their phones or reserving machines while pacing around them than sitting and working out at the machines, forcing others more diligent about workouts to wait for an opening. I feel like maybe there should be rest, recuperate and text benches where they can sit between sets so others might use those machines in the waiting time.

Like most gyms in the city, the gym is small. If you go during off-peak hours, you'll certainly get a great workout in. If you go during peak hours, it'll be hard to enjoy your workout because of all the other gym-goers around you. My only real complaint about this gym is the locker room/bathroom. The men's locker room/bathroom is so small and dirty. There's water and toilet paper all over the floor, and the soap is usually out. Maintenance in the locker room/bathroom needs to be improved.

I share previous opinions, there are 4 people behind the counter laughing out loud but the bathrooms, windows and mirrors are horribly dirty, please demand more from your workers, since you're earning more than before! Don't let them pile up without doing anything, If I don't see any changes in the bathrooms, I'll start uploading photos.

I wanna start this review by saying this is an ongoing problem at a lot of these facilities being that I have the green membership and I go to a lot of them. I have to speak on it, but I’m specifically speaking on this one because this is the one that I frequent the most . There’s always an issue with nastiness in the bathroom with his toilet paper and liquid all over the bedroom floor yet there is 3 to 4 people standing behind the front desk a couple of weeks ago on Labor Day a young lady made an announcement about putting weights back and other equipment. She had an attitude and was very nasty, but I thought to myself she can say that, but she can’t send a male coworker into the bathroom to clean it.

Unacceptable Bathroom Conditions – Ongoing Issue**
I will continue to speak up until something changes. I don’t visit this gym often, but every time I do—especially in the evenings between 7 PM and 11 PM—the women’s bathroom is consistently dirty.
What’s even more frustrating is coming in to a dirty bathroom, working out for 2–3 hours, and returning to find it still in the same unsanitary condition. That tells me nothing is being done during that entire time. It's unreal.
Meanwhile, the staff is often just sitting at the front desk on their phones, clearly not paying attention to the state of the gym. It really feels like the night crew doesn’t care at all. If there’s no supervision at night, that might explain the lack of accountability—but it doesn't excuse it.
To put things in perspective, I’ve been to several Planet Fitness locations that are much cleaner than this Blink Fitness. That should be a wake-up call.
I hope management sees this and takes immediate steps to fix the problem. Cleanliness should never be optional.
Next time, I’ll be taking + posting photos with time stamps to show exactly how long these conditions are left unchecked—along with the staff on duty. Something needs to change, and accountability is clearly overdue.

*2/11/25: Music start time is now 5:50 meaning that members spend 50 minutes from opening feeling like they shouldn’t be there yet.
*5/30/24: someone please tell the employee to stop eating breakfast in the locker room. It’s weird and gross.
*5/9/24: 6AM, you have a staff room, right? There is an employee who routinely hangs out in the locker room eating breakfast and watching videos on his phone. You have probably the smallest locker room in the city. What is wrong with this guy? Tell him to use the lounge instead of further crowding the space.
*11/27: 6:30AM, toilet paper in only one stall, soap in only one shower, staff scrolling phones at front desk. Get it together.
*5/16: You are raising the price of towel service to $15 a month, yet right now there are no towels available. I’m paying 50% more for a service that is unavailable. You suck.
*3/21/23: 5:45 and the music still isn’t on.
*3/15/23: Oops! Someone overslept this morning! 5:15 and doors still locked, lights off, members waiting in the cold. Be better.
*Update 1/17: the towel situation seems to have improved. These days the music is being turned on very late, though. Sometimes not til after 6Am.
You need to keep towels in stock. If members are paying extra for this service, then you should never run out. No excuses.
I’m reading a lot of negative reviews about Blink billing policy and not about this actual location. This Blink is spacious and well-organized. Staff are very friendly, and speak to you not just at check-in, but also while you’re on the floor. Someone is always cleaning here. This Blink is completely above ground, which I consider an asset. Also, they have a water bottle filler. In the locker room, the toilets aren’t directly across from the sinks, and that offers a little more privacy.

-this is an upper class bourgeoisie experience of a gym, does not feel like a blink fitness location
-every machine worked when i was here
-exceptionally clean
-much of the equipment was newer models, not old stuff from a few years ago or decades back like many other chain gyms
-the people that go here are of different class than the common blink gym. you will notice and feel that
-friendly front desk staff
-easy access by mass transit
-some negatives - no paper towels, gym was ice cold there as was no heat here at all during the evening of feb '25, when it was 29 degrees outside, the locker room is very small, at least the seating area and i actually think it's the smallest locker room in any gym in the city. with that being said, the architects could have been more creative and made it larger but they were just too lazy when they designed this place; mean they went to architect school for this. it's not like this locker room gym was designed by a kid in high school, come on.

What is going on with blink they seem to always have issues with their plumbing I'm a green member and I go to quite a few people pay their hard-earned money for a gym membership and this is what they get constant plumbing issues and then when you asked them behind the front desk what's going on when will it be fixed they have no idea how is that running a business properly also there are also seem to be issues with them stocking toilet paper in the bathroom stalls issues with the cleanliness of the locker room and the bathroom sing five to six people standing around the front desk doing nothing while these things are going on especially nasty bathrooms with no toilet paper it is absolutely unacceptable and ridiculous 👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾

After double the cost, now they are getting rid of towel service all together as of 1/15/2025. So if you workout in the morning you’ll have to bring a wet towel with you to work everyday… fun!
AC Out for multiple days and instead of coming up with any solution (buying fans from down the street) they just said sorry nothing we can do. While also having all the windows drilled shut so it’s a disgusting sweat box. Not great…
BRING BACK THE EQUIPMENT CLEANING WIPES! No one is using the paper towels and spray because they usually aren’t there/are empty. All of the equipment is dirty and has sweat marks on it. When there were wet wipes, everyone was using them. Please bring them back ASAP!! Feel like this is going to lead to covid outbreaks. Filter for the water fountain would be great too as using the other ones seems unsanitary and probably also lead to more re spread of covid.

I like this place. I usually rate these places a 4 star because there's usually room for improvement despite how good they look but I had a decent time here.
Small grievances or things of note. Keep your eyes peeled. There is no obvious sign outside that you're near this gym, I had to look directly at the building to know that's the location because if you don't, you'll easily walk past it. The locker room is also on the small side, scratch that, it's basically a cubicle so you're kinda screwed during peak hours when a lot of people come here.
Now back to the meat of this review. The place is deceptively large despite how narrow it looks. It's basically like the long 4 bar block in Tetris. Small in width, vast in length. Majority of the cardio machines are in the East Wing while the strength and conditioning machines are in the West Wing. I must've lucked out coming here in the afternoon at a location within the city because getting access to a machine was no issue. EVEN THE WEIGHT AREA WASN'T PACKED AND ALL THE WEIGHTS ARE RACKED WHERE THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO BE! OK now I remember why I'm giving this place a 5 star lol. It kinda felt like I was in one of those hotel gyms where they're just there as an extra incentive so you don't have to worry about a bunch of people crowding up the place because it's not advertised as a gym. Well this is a gym but if you're lucky as I was, you have technically free reign to any machine.
Your experience might be different depending on the time you come in but I was able to spend all of my time working out and basically 0 of it waiting on someone to get off a machine.

A little before 9:22PM last night (Aug 20, 2024) I was kicked out of the gym by one of the workers. For lack of a better description there where two dark skinned people working the floor. A taller fit guy and a shorter regular build guy. The short one walked up to me and asked, "You need to switch to a pair of shoes." I said "Oh ok." he said, "Do you have another pair of shoes to ware?" I said "No this is all I have." He said "Then you must leave the premises immediately." I left with no argument but I'll say here and now that was more then a little rude when talking to a customer and I'm a little embarrassed. I am currently in a shelter so wearing sneakers 24/7 is a little tough on the feet. I've even told them this in the past. That's why me and just about everyone in the shelter use slippers because sneakers/feet are impossible to keep clean under those conditions. Now that was ONE problem. Here is the second. During this time a female was lifting weights in front of me to the left. Guess what? She took off her shoes. A guy working one of the leg machines on my right side took of his shoes while doing his work out. This all took place within 10 min of our interaction and all in eyeshot from where I was sitting. In short, it's pretty common. So why was I singled out. Also when you have your personal trainers in the place they also allow the clients to work out shoeless in socks. I've seen that on several occasions. Next when your giving tours to possible future customers they walk in with flip flops, Crocs, sandals you name it and they are not asked to leave. So as far as I can tell as long as the customer is about to give you added business "safety" can be ignored. I've waited till the next day to see if I'm still angry and I am. So this will be sent out today.

I will really miss the Noho Blink. I've been loyal to this Blink location since 2020. It's not perfect, but, for the price and the location, it was amazing. The Life Fitness equipment was great but old. Alas, all of it was recently replaced with awful Matrix machines. They are absolutely horrible, jerky, poorly designed, inaccurate, and just so ugly. They have managed to jam in a lot of new machines, but they are truly a disappointment. It was so fun to run into local legends like Amanda Lepore and other art queers there. I made a lot of awesome gym friends there. But it's ultimately about my working out and I just had to cancel my membership after years of being a loyal Blink member for more than a decade. I'm off to Crunch Bowery where they maintain ties with Life Fitness equipment, which is far smoother and less jerky and painful than Matrix. At the end of the day, this is a personal preference, but the Matrix equipment is just awful. I'm so sorry. From the weight/cable machines to the elliptical machine -- I left my workout feeling awful yesterday. I wish there would have been some customer feedback included in this decision. It's clear they needed newer equipment and they went for the cheapest option. This is a sad farewell.

oh how you would just love to give this location 5 stars because of the convenience. its really ideal, however... all the reviews are accurate. i swapped my home gym from ridgewood to noho simply bc it was more convenient to hit the gym before and after work. i was only paying a 3rd of what the membership fee was as well compared to noho, and ridgewood was at least 3x bigger! first thing to point out is that staff is awesome and friendly. next is the locker room is more crowded then the gym floor for some reason!! 😡 not enough locker spaces or real estate to change at any hour of the day. the weight benches are almost always hogged up. it really just is not making sense to justify the HUGE membership fee hike and not allow this location to be absorbed into the national membership list. i get that manhattan rent is high, but make it make sense for the members to justify such a cost. we DON'T need a boutique gym in this area. if any other competitor opened up a larger location within the area, the noho location would be in trouble.

Update 9/2023: they added in mirrors which solves the issue with the squat racks! Idk why but they never have the AC on here. They used to blast it but there’s been no AC during this entire summer season, which has been exceptionally hot.
This blink used to be the best blink—cleanest, most modern, best staff. They recently rearranged the squat racks so that they are no longer in front of mirrors, which is counterintuitive. Most of the exercises done on the squat racks require you to keep form checking. Instead, now it is backed against a mirror less wall and isolation machines now occupy the space where it used to be. Please change it back! I go out of my way just for this blink location but now am considering finding an alternate gym membership. It just makes no sense, is dangerous for gym goers who use the squat racks and the gym looks dingy now.

Being my first time I thought there might be some kind of guidance as to where locker rooms etc could be found, but staff just answered there were no locker rooms, only bathrooms available (??) When I asked whether padlocks were available to buy or borrow the person barely answered and looked like I was bothering her. I understand 6 am staff have an early morning, but this was a bad first impression and experience, resulting in me not signing up as a member.

The staff is wonderful, they alone get 10 stars. I just wish gym etiquette by the gym goers was followed. The amount of old naked men towel down talking on their phones is insane. Why do you need to be naked to put deodorant on?!
Also too many NYU kids hogging machines. If you see a free bench just risk the 5 seconds of embarrassment and run for it or you will be waiting 45mins.

Great gym and great price. Equipment is clean and easy to use. The staff are friendly and happy to help. Better than planet fitness by far. Also, people are fit and will make you work harder.
Big downside is that it gets crowded often and some members hog the squat racks / benches for over an hour. Would be great if they added another squat rack to help ease congestion.

You get what you pay for. However, the fact there are only in 2 bench presses in the entire gym and is often crowded is a major hinderance. Perhaps add more benches as you increased peoples” membership prices and have empty cardio machines in excess spaces.

This is not a comment on the service of the gym but rather it's size. This spot is CONSIDERABLY smaller compared to other blinks I have been to. They need a much bigger spot considering the crowded nature of the neighborhood.

This place never fails to ruin my mood. Working out is normally the highlight of my day, however it’s kind of hard to enjoy any workout in this hell hole. You can always expect to wait at least 20 minutes for a bench or squat rack. Staff treats you with complacent anonymity. Other members are rude and inconsiderate. You will not have an efficient or enjoyable workout here. Amenities are nonexistent, and equipment is less than bare minimum. Can’t wait until I can afford literally anywhere else.

My trainer and I were in the weights section of the establishment when the lights suddenly cut off. One of the staff members had intentionally switched them off, even though we still in the middle of a session. A male voice yelled out “Yo! We’re closed!” which took us aback as we were unaware of the shortened weekend hours. My trainer and I had to put away the weights onto the rack and navigate half of the gym in near complete darkness. We were concerned as we did not want to misplace the weights and have it fall on us, or trip on anything and injure ourselves.
As we approached the front desk on our way to the locker room, another young lady (who I assumed was a manager, Hispanic/Latinx, mid 20s to early 30s, plenty of tattoos) said “Listen, you gotta go. We’re closed.” We said that we understood, but did not appreciate the tone in her voice as she was very aggressive. As we were getting dressed, the same young man who yelled earlier (black man, early to mid 20s, wearing glasses) walked in and started checking all of the lockers making sure that they were clear, and slammed every locker door that he checked. It felt like he was trying to intimidate us and make us uncomfortable. When we left the locker room and we were walking toward the door, we asked what the operating hours were and the woman said “We close at seven, at seven the building is supposed to be empty”. We asked for her name and she refused to give it, so we left.
I understand that as a business, you have set business hours. I also understand that your employees work very hard, and their quality of life is important to them. I myself am a store manager at a major sportswear retailer. My team and I like to close our business as quickly and efficiently as possible, but NEVER at the expense of safety or providing quality customer service. I feel that there was a better way to clear your establishment without putting your patrons in harm’s way or disrespecting them. In the meantime, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION.

Blink makes it IMPOSSIBLE to close your account. Trust me and don't fall into this trap -- I've tried to cancel in so many ways, I've canceled my actual credit card, I tried to make payments on the website, and this has now significantly affected my credit score. And I got to go TWICE before the pandemic hit (and yeah it's like a whatever normal gym).
DO NOT SIGN UP FOR BLINK. It's a scam.

I need to know where can I get the information when you guys close earlier. Today, on the internet it says you guys close at 7pm but you did it at 5, I don't know where did you share that information because I didn't get it, is so annoying to get there and can't work out.

Their cancelation notice and hidden fees make this gym a nightmare to get out from! I went 1x and cancelled right after but ended up with a bill of USD160 because their cancelation system only works if you settle the auto renewed month as well. Unfriendly support team when I reached out just to be told to settle the bill. Old school, sneaky tricks to get money.

I only rarely leave reviews for businesses, but my experience cancelling my membership with Blink was such a nightmare, I needed to post this warning to others. After I stopped going to Blink due to the pandemic, I cancelled my membership, or so I thought. Allegedly my membership had only been put on hold, and the fine print allowed Blink to reinstate my membership unbeknownst to me. Long story short, they continued to charge me for months and months. I messaged them and attempted to cancel via their website, but my membership wasn’t cancelled due to a technical glitch. I was told I needed to visit a physical service desk, but I no longer live anywhere close to a Blink location. As of now, I’m STILL not convinced I won’t be charged next month. I would not recommend Blink under any circumstance. DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM.

I’ve gone to a handful of different blink locations and this location is by far my least favorite. I have experienced and seen the staff yelling at members in front of others for “breaking” even the smallest of rules. And you can tell it’s a power trip.
The staff should be there to make the member experience better, not worse. And if you need to correct behavior, you can do it without embarrassing or belittling people.

scammers who prey on low income families. Signed up for a one month "no commitment" plan and was somehow forced to pay a 65 dollar yearly maintenance fee and a 35 dollar cancellation fee plus the monthly fee. I would have saved money buying a one month equinox membership then with this terrible franchise. Avoid them at all costs and NEVER sign into their contract or you'll just get screwed. If you don't pay their ridiculous fine print fees, they will send a collection agency after you. Avoid these sharks

BE AWARE !!! HIDDEN FEES !!! When you join the gym they explain to you about the monthly fee, they don't mention anything about anual fee or cancelation fee or anything else, JUST the monthly fee. But for students that leave for 3 months or even more they want us to pay the hole year or if you cancel they will charge also $50 so that way they try to force you to pay all year but they don't explain anything about it even when you ask. And they are able to charge you because they have your credit card. THEY HAVE HIDDEN FEES. You shouldn't have this HIDDEN fees, that's not been honest.

Super cheap gym with mostly all of the equipment that you need to meet your fitness goals. The two main drawbacks are that they do not offer any fitness classes and that the gym often approaches it's occupancy capacity and you will often have to wait for somebody to finish on a machine before you can move onto your next exercise.

This gym is terrible. It was extremely full and dirty so I tried to cancel my membership in person. Then I kept getting emails saying that I had to pay more. It's ridiculous that they only have two squat racks/lifting platforms. The gym is fairly large it should have more. The rest of the gym isn't bad.
However, the staff couldn't be more rude when trying to get you out the door at closing time. The last time I went before closing time, I had planned to finish my workout AT closing time. Which I did, on the dot, and immediately walked downstairs to the lobby completely out of breath. If it wasn't 15° degrees outside I would have immediately walked out the door.. but it was and it took me a couple minutes to put on some sweats and a jacket. And right before I was about to walk out the door a member of the staff walked downstairs and essentially tried to lecture me that I should have given myself "ample" time to change in the locker room before the gym closed. Keep in mind this was literally 4-5 minutes after closing time.
I've been to A LOT of gyms all over and never experienced such unreasonable treatment working out until the closing time. Including two other blink locations.

Their locker room is actually scary small. I can imagine it being a packed nightmare during rush hour. Other than that the gym amenities it self are nice and appear clean. It’s probably the smallest Blink Fitness I’ve ever been to in NYC. Maybe that’s intentional because of the area? (Soho)

Absolutely the worst gym in NYC. If you're reading this, please don't sign up or go to this gym. It is sweltering hot in the gym (literally condensation dripping from the windows because there's so many people packed in the gym) and the staff won't let you open the windows to get some fresh air & breath (especially given it's not good to be so packed with COVID still an issue). The assistant manager, Jocelyn, thinks she's god because she got promoted - she will scream at you if you put your weights on the ground temporarily to get a drink of water and anything she does is because "she said so". Completely inappropriate behavior by the staff, it's an abuse of power & not professional at all. Save your money and go somewhere else if you want to have a pleasant workout.

Blink Fitness is a decent gym but their hidden charges all add up sooner or later for example annual maintenance fee , cancellation fee. However my most recent experience ticked me off. I am an Indian by nationality and so are my two other friends with whom I workout , the lady on the front desk walks up to us and informs us about the hygiene policies to which we were duly complying however she could get a foul smell from within the gym and she just randomly assumed that it was us boys . I don't know why this was the case and the fact that my friends and I ( all Indian ) were being pin pointed made us feel really insulted and in some way discriminated against since there were other possible sources too . I hope no one has to go through this act. The claims made by the lady seemed baseless we weren't really able to comprehend what she was trying to even imply.

I’ve been to this location many times, with jeans and was not told anything. Them not telling me jeans was not allowed made me think jeans were allowed. However today’s visit was very unsatisfactory. I was told there was a strict dress code even though I could not find it anywhere online. Since I’ve been there many times, and it was my first time hearing a dress code, they didn’t even consider making an exception. Since when does Chest workout require your legs. Definitely will not be coming back here.

AVOID THIS PLACE!
I signed up for the summer and the staff told me that if I cancel my membership the day I sign up, they will waive the annual fee. I did so but they now force me to pay the fee anyway.
Plus: The place is horribly crowded independent of the time of day, so you spend more time waiting than working out.
