La verdad este gimnasio es decepcionante, especialmente en este lugar, los trabajadores son demasiado negligente y ven a las personas de una forma despectiva, quizás por mi nacionalidad o no se porque razón, hay entrenadores que no se les ve pasión por su trabajo y muchas veces veo como se burlan de los demás, en otro gimnasio toda la maquinaria y equipo están disponibles para todo el público, pero en este gimnasio tienen en un cuarto guardado muchos objetos en los que en otro gimnasio Blink están disponibles para el público, el único que lo usa es un entrenador que va en el horario de la mañana, pero pienso que si uno está pagando es para usar todos los objetos y maquinaria, como dije en un principio los trabajadores poco empaticos y con mala cara siempre, amo entrenar pero este gimnasio me ha decepcionado. Ahora, cobran una membresía que resulta siendo un negocio porque no puedes retirarte si no has durado un año y si lo haces antes de tiempo te cobran multa, a mí me bloquearon mi membresía, lo cual quise salirme porque decidí ir a entrenar y no me quería dejar entrar, llevo más de 1 año en el gimnasio y cuando me inscribí en otro gimnasio me llegó un correo diciendo que mi cuenta estaba abierta, me hicieron el cobro y tras de él hecho quise salirme porque pagué en otro gimnasio diferente pero ahora me quieren cobrar 60 porque mi membresía la pusieron como nueva, cuando yo ya llevo mucho tiempo en ese gym, he hablado con varias personas y al parecer eso es un negocio para ellos, prácticamente un robo, una estrategia, muchas personas les ha pasado el mismo problema.

The location was under construction when I went today. No sign on door mentioning this beforehand. The online site still says it is open, and no one picked up the phone on the number. Poor communication overall.
How long will this location be closed for? And where can current members go in the meantime?

I've been a Blink member for years. Then they went to pure gym. I'm a senior and my fees are paid by my insurance until lately. I canceled my my membership for noon use. If I remember right early August and that month was paid for already. I got charged Sept 1st again. Emailed Pure gym about it at least 3-4 times then told the front desk and they said they would email them about the problem. I got charged $72 oct 1st. Then I contacted my credit card and stopped all payments. I really don't care what you call yourself Pure gym or blink your handling or not handling of this matter was not satisfactory. If you change names or whatever that's your problem not mine. NOT HAPPY

Been using this gym location for almost two years mostly because of the location. Since there are no other nearby affordable gyms, this location tends to be very crowded. The machines are worn out and in need of repair. For this i would give this gym 1 star. Recently it was announced that new machines will be installed, until then, the maintenance of the exiting will probably not happen.
The layout of this gym is not matching the demand and use of the machines. About 50% of the footprint is occupied by cardio equipment that is never used to its full capacity. If the management is smart, they can remove the cardio on the ground level and expand the strength training which is crowded to the brink, with no space to stand at the peak time. Weights are also not available and waiting time to get on a machine is also long. It is true that people are idling on the machines and watching videos on their phones. There is not much that can be done about that, since this is a budget gym all types of people visit.
The cleanliness of the gym is ok, would say 4 stars, the staff is constantly cleaning and people are also wiping the equipment after use. Sometimes there is a shortage of wipes.
The staff is very friendly and courteous. Overall rating 5 stars. The trainers also help pointing out best form for exercise and will give advice when asked.

My personal trainer is awesome but besides that this gym seems to be going downhill. Please bring back the disinfectant wipes to clean the gym equipment between multi-person use! With Fall approaching this is highly irresponsible and I already see people walking around sneezing and coughing. And I highly suggest you have the gym cleaned and the equipment thoroughly wiped down atleast once a month by a professional cleaning company.

This has to be the worst Blink in NYC. Parts of the floor are ripped up, machines are worn down, it's layout is terrible and it is CONSTANTLY crowded. No water anywhere on second floor and scarce cleaning stations.
Blink also updated it's policy in July 2025 to not allow guests for any membership tier, which makes no sense. They need a reality check. This is a BUDGET gym on the same level as Planet Fitness, not it's parent company Equinox.
Speaking of Planet Fitness, the PF 5 minutes away (FIVE MINUTES WALKING) is beautiful. State of the art machines, machines I've never seen before, 5+ squat racks, dedicated dead lifting racks, and a massive amount of space. Despite Planet Fitnesses' bad reputation, you are better off going there than here.

Terrible gym! I don’t understand why people even leave their houses just to go there and sit on their phones. It’s always crowded, no matter the time of day, and people don’t get off the machines because they’re either on their phones or working out in groups, taking turns on the same machine for 45 minutes.
If you’re serious about your workout and have limited time to get it done, avoid this location.

Pros: Cheap, nice members, communal vibe, not many alternatives nearby
Cons: Some trainers hold equipment during peak morning hours (often for 20+ minutes with no one using it), sullen staff staring at TikTok, only amenity they offer is hand soap and they can't even keep that consistently filled, people literally steal the handles and light plates
If you're an entrepreneur or franchise and you're considering opening a rival gym near here, please do it. You will easily out compete this place.

I’ve been trying to cancel my Blink Fitness membership since March, and it’s been a complete nightmare. Every request has been ignored. They keep directing you to their website to cancel, but it doesn’t work—and they know it. A front desk manager even laughed and admitted the system doesn’t actually process cancellations. It’s clearly a tactic to make it as difficult as possible to cancel.
I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau after being ignored for months. Blink’s response? They claimed they had “no evidence” of my cancellation requests—despite multiple attempts by phone, web and in writing. Even now, after the BBB complaint, they’re still charging my account.
It’s clear they’re banking on customers giving up or not noticing the ongoing charges, so they can continue profiting from people who don’t even use the gym. This isn’t just poor service—it’s unethical. Stay far away from this gym. There are plenty of places to work out that won’t try to scam you.

In fact, even your own staff has admitted the online cancellation option doesn’t work. That’s not a technical glitch—it’s a deliberate tactic.
At this point, your company is knowingly continuing to charge customers who have taken every possible step to cancel. That’s not just bad service—it’s deceptive and unethical. I’m keeping detailed records in case further action is needed. Please stop charging my account immediately and confirm the cancellation in writing. I expect a full refund for the charges made after my original cancellation request.

I've been here for over a year and a half and day in and out, I leave satisfied. Staff is always friendly and willing to accommodate or assist. I'm always welcomed with a greeting and some always personally greet me when we're in sight. I can't tell you how many times I've lost things and found them because an employee or member found and returned my stuff.
Equipment is functional, clean most days, and doesn't look like its been beaten to death with a stick. I never have a problem, unless it's wait times. These are just things you get used to if you come during peak.
Update:
Gym has gone a bit down hill. Equipment is broken more often than not, the locker policies aren't enforced and customer service to Blink Corporate doesn't matter since they don't seem to care to address these issues or even respond accordingly. The local staff are still great, but corporate doesn't seem to care to invest in this gym and its reputation in the community.

The gym is located in convenient locations. Most of the machines are out of order. They don’t have any drinking water spot upstairs, It doesn’t make any sense to go all the way down to get the water in between your workout session. Very less amount of equipments. I have never seen such things in any gym.. The equipment quality is very poor. Most of them are ripped off the markings or not in good condition. Major things is parking not available all the time and the gym doesn’t have own parking space.

One of the worst gym I’ve ever been in my entire life, way to many people but equipment are half the people you gotta wait 10 to 15 mins for every equipment and the fact you gotta wait 30 min to do the squats is crazy to me. This gym is in critical condition. Every other machine is broken. None of them have signs because there are so many broken machines at that point it would be embarrassing. Even the vending machine in the locker room to buy locks etc, broken. I have no idea how blink allows this gym to be open and operating like that because it’s just a totally bad look on the brand

The gym has potential It has a convenient location mostly if you have children at school, but there are a few areas that could really use improvement. While there are personal trainers available and a few people at the front desk, there doesn’t seem to be any staff actively supervising the gym floor. A manager presence would definitely help with organization and accountability.
One ongoing issue is that the multi-jungle gym machine is often reserved for extended periods—sometimes over two hours—for content creation, with people using their phones and equipment, which limits access for other members. Additionally, weights are frequently left out of place, making it difficult to find complete dumbbell sets.
Another concern is the misuse of machines—some people reserve equipment with clothing or remain on their phones for long periods, which can be frustrating for those waiting their turn. These situations could likely be improved with more active oversight from management, as they seem to be happening more frequently over time, and honestly I wanted to be committed with me but the gym doesn’t help with the idea pf doing exercises, It’s like throwing my time, money and goals, it’s really frustrating (I cut the head of the person but It’s always like this), also they should give advise or short words to the people who doesn’t have a clue what they are doing, They just will get injured… If is possible and the gym can provide this service.

One of the Staff is incredibly rude, the south asian one. Ive come to this gym for the past 3 years, i had a premium membership here for 2 of them. Now I come with my friends often here as a guest pass, normally i come here with my friends ontime i come here first to stretch and normally other staffs are nice enough to let me come in and stretch while waiting for my friends to come. But this time, the staff just won’t budge and try to understand the situation:/ definitely weird and rude experiences. Management doesnt really seem to care enough about customer services. I’ve been to plenty of Blink locations around NYC, and this one’s hands-down the worst and most overcrowded I've seem. Going after 5pm? Good luck, lol. You won’t even snag a yoga mat.
As others have said, zero gym etiquette here. People hoard dumbbells as usual, ego lifters drop their barbells like mini-earthquakes, and groups of people camp out on machines or squat racks.
Only two bench presses, pretty much always occupied by gangs teenagers. Not enough equipment especially leg press machines, and the bathrooms/change rooms always smell funky.
Workers are friendly tho, always greets and waves goodbye. The janitors work hard, every time I'm there, she's either wiping or mopping.
I honestly would rather bike to the Blink Astoria, it's also very crowded, but at least it's bigger and they have more and newer equipment.

I’ve been a member of Blink fitness for a while and I have to say the gym has really improved! One thing I really appreciate is how they stay on top of maintaining the equipment. Another highlight was the free training classes they offered in March. They were a great opportunity to learn new exercises and improve my workouts. The trainers were knowledgeable and made sure everyone felt comfortable. Overall, I am really happy with the positive changes at Blink Fitness and would definitely recommend to others.

The gym etiquette here is terrible and the staff enable it. In fact, the PTs are sometimes the biggest culprits here. There will be maybe 3 PTs taking clients on the floor and reserving equipment well ahead of time using their lanyards. The regular users of the gym also don’t return their weights. I just moved to the area and this gym was closest to me, I went for about a month and half before switching over to Planet Fitness. This location is ALWAYS crowded, no matter what time of day or night it is, forget about using any of free weights or the one (!!) smith machine. I only ever went during off peak hours (mornings before 12) and it was still an unpleasant experience. I would just avoid the hassle (and cancellation fees) and just go to a different gym where there’s actually room to breathe.

as others have said this place is pretty rough. it is absolutely packed at all times. bros on the same machine for 40 minutes. huge groups of people who put their stuff on seats while they mill around talking to each other so no one else can use something they are not actually using. horrid gym etiquette all around. machines constantly broken for months at a time. people steal or hide the carabiners so you cant connect handles to the weights. ive had to ask the front desk for another carabiner more than once here. i take the train into manhattan to go to the location by my work on the weekends so i can avoid having to go in here. i'm very close to canceling my subscription altogether.

I like the staff so much — front desk is great! But management is not taking care of the facilities. It can take a few days when the shabby equipment breaks down and missing padding may never get replaced. I suppose we can count this as a plus as other discount gyms may NEVER fix equipment. There are many singleton machines so you might find yourself waiting a long time to do sets for legs, in particular. And arms. And chest. Oh wait…
Additionally people in this gym are big time sitters. They do a set with a zillion reps then sit there and get lost in TikTok for another 20 minutes. And women will find getting a shot at using free weights nearly impossible. The one exception is the cardio machines. Those are pretty plentiful. The stretching area is super small. No studio space for yoga or classes.
Guess we get what we (don’t) pay for as the gym is reasonably priced for NYC.

Great gym if you work out on down times. Too often, it is too crowded, and one must wait in line for machines. There is no management, and they run this gym ineffectively. It's only great if you live nearby and can't find a better facility. Also if you have an issue with payments for personal trainers there, no manager in facility and the Only way to communicate with them is through email and the people you email are inefficient and not helpful. They are requiring me to pay upwards of $400 for training sessions I do not want. One cannot reach anyone to help them. Terrible company.

THERE'S A REASON THEY FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY. This gym is overcrowded and impossible to use. They have one of everything for weight training so if you have 4hs to spend at the gym maybe you'll like it. But if you want to actually work out go somewhere else. Also canceling at any time is a lie because they'll when you go to cancel they will charge you an arm and a leg to do it. It was my bad decision to go gym in woodside. It always been so crowded. I checked timing like 7am, 9am and 5pm. Even the app says 50% full actually I found almost full every time. Only thing I can use was treadmill. No space for lying down on mat.
Also I was blue membership and there was no “cancel anytime” benefit after 15th of the month. Why so ?? What do mean by cancel anytime?? And they charged all my 2 months fees and annual fee at the end of 1st month when I cancelled.

there's a lot of professional machine hoggers here, be prepared to wait 2 hrs for a singular machine sometimes. Groups of men using the machine at a time, taking almost 2 hrs and saying "we came here first". I get it, one of you was here before but that doesnt mean u get to reserve the rack like that. No gym etiquette whatsoever.

Staff does greet ya. I come in during the busy times in the afternoon so there isn’t much equipment or machines available. The layout of the gym isn’t good either. They have a mix of weight-lifting machines and cardio machine on both floors and the placement of the machines has you lost sometimes. They should also look into adding more weight-lifting machines as well.

They have been charging me shamelessly for two years! I have moved out of nyc and I’ve let just about everybody on the call that I have changed my address.
They told me to send them a physical mail stating my change of address which I did and yet, they continue to charge me. The simple response was, I don’t think we have received it yet…that’s it. The front desk person barely does anything to get me to speak with their manager. This has been the case since two years now! I am so frustrated.

They seem nice I signed up yesterday and I was asked if I wanted a free personal trainer and I said yes. I scheduled it for the next day. I call today because I can’t make it on time and they told me I’d be losing my free training because I didn’t call 24 hours in advance. I just signed up and no one told me i could lose my free appointment if I didn’t come in. I spoke to 2 different ladies. The last lady name Lisa said there was nothing she could do. I wish they would have explained but they don’t want to do their jobs of informing us when we sign up. This gym is packed after 5 pm

I wish I could give a place 0 stars. The recent one star reviews are correct in that quality has severely gone down and you must wait obscene amounts of time (around 25 minutes) for machines. Of the times I’ve gone here, I’ve had to abandon my workouts or just go home, just so I don’t waste my time. Do not come here from 3:30-9. It is just inhumanely packed with people who hoard machines.
Working out is meant to be therapeutic and fit your lifestyle. You cannot do that here and it gets frustrating when 5 sets of 2 people are waiting for literally every machine, even treadmills. There’s also a tendency for people to spend extremely long rest times while on their phones, which delays everything, and they are not receptive to you working in. Additionally, machines that are broken take literal months to be operational again.
My advice is to go to any gym in Astoria as they are much bigger and can accommodate more people (if you can afford it). That or come in extremely early

Soy cliente habitual de este gym y la verdad deja mucho que desear , 1 se queda pequeño para el volumen de personas que entrenan . 2 los entrenadores básicamente te quitan las máquinas para entrenar ellos o a otras personas sin respetar el turno . 3 máquinas QUE DAN PENA . 4 Mala organización. 5 no hay suficientes máquinas , tienes que esperar bastante a la hora de entrenar por esto mismo . Por dar un ejemplo una máquina muy usada es la de extencion de cuadriceps y deltoides sentados y acostados y solo hay 1 . Y así con varias máquinas aparte que se dañan cada rato y tardan en arreglarla están en mal estado . De los entrenadores no puedo opinar porque no entreno con ellos ,pero ya pueden leer más abajo . Si voy es porque es el único gym cerca de donde vivo si no me iría. He entre ado en el de Astorias y manhatan y las máquinas aparte de cuidadas hay más variedad y organización.

PESIMO! El gimnasio siempre huele mal, poca inmobiliaria de maquinas y encima de esto los entrenadores se adueñan de la gran mayoría de maquinas durante horas! Impidiendo el uso al resto de usuarios, las maquinas se dañan constantemente y tardan semanas en repararlas realmente este gimnasio es muy malo y no vale la pena acudir a el ya que no se puede entrenar como es debido por lo puntos mencionados anteriormente. Ojalá y cambien el personal así como también las maquinas, añadiendo nuevo inmobiliario!

There are at least 5 machines I have encountered that are broken. And everytime the app says it is at 50% capacity or else. I have been coming to this blink location for a few years now and the quality of the gym has declined almost each year. There’s not enough machines and equipment for the high volume of members that attend. For example, currently, there’s only one 5lb add-on weight stack that you can add to the machines in the entire gym. I’ve had to get creative and use dumbbells as substitutes. There’s only one dual cable machine and there’s always lines of people waiting to get on it, so that certainly nerfs your exercise selection to a degree. The equipment that gets damaged takes forever to be fixed or replaced. If you’re there at the gym during peak hours, expect to wait ~25-30 min for a squat rack. I do, however, like the staff members who work there because they’re very nice and courteous and I appreciate personal trainer Mike who works there as well. However, given the state of the gym, I don’t think the price you pay for the membership is justified. Meanwhile, the other blink locations, specifically the Astoria blink, has gotten a major face lift in terms of equipment. I would like to see the same upgrade at Woodside.

One of the more smaller gyms in NYC, even with 2 floors but if you time your trip well, you'd make for good time and use here around the morning or early afternoon on a weekday. Not sure if I can recommend coming here after school hours or even on the weekend because this place looks like it gets packed easily. Only 3 machines from what I recall were out of order so they at least make an effort on maintenance. Size aside, it's a decent gym.

Staff is friendly and the gym is clean however there are not nearly enough machines/weights for everyone that comes here. Gym etiquette also seems to be out the window with dumbbells being left all over the place, teenagers sitting on the machines for 20-30 minutes at a time on their phones, I’ll politely ask how many sets someone has and get the cold shoulder etc etc. I wish there was a better option around Woodside/Sunnyside but for the price I guess I’m stuck here.

Avoid this place. Staff are amazing and friendly it is very clean. However, it is always packed. People take up two machines at a time and the amount teenagers on their phone just sitting doing nothing is frustrating. You don't have much options in Woodside but if you could AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE A PLAGUE. Especially, if you are an adult with responsibilities you are gonna spend more time waiting for machines than actually working out. It is time drain. The only reason I am not giving this place no stars is because of how great the staff is. The thing if it was laid out better with more lifting equipment it would be a great gym. Otherwise if you do join prep yourself everyday to have to wait. This not a quick workout place!

This happened during covid and I just happened to remerber it today. The story is that I couldn't go to the gym during covid so I cancelled the membership. I thought everything was good untill I got a letter from a collection agency. The businese not only didn't cancel the membership but also let collection agency get invloded without inquiring me first. No response when I emailed them. What a business. I have no problem with this location, it's just the company.

They charge you $60 for maintenance fee that is not used efficiently in terms of lack of AC along with the limited space to work out. You only get an invoice when you initially pay and then they steal $60 off your account with no invoice given. Save your money and go to another gym or just go in the park because the gym is a scam.

I can agree with so much that's being said in these reviews.
Machines being broken CONSTANTLY, super crowded , but the most annoying and honestly disrespectful part is ,us and myself as paying members don't have access to squat racks EVEN if I show up at 4:30 a.m , make a stupid line to get in only to realize that such machines are ALREADY being reserved for some of the trainers friends. It's not even clients , just their friends .
Are you kidding? There's one specific trainer ( high-pitched voice) who literally does it every single day.
What kind of service are you providing, and who is going to fix this problem??
