Body & Brain has been so impactful on my life! The classes and community are very different than your typical yoga studio in all the best ways. I feel so healthy and at peace every time I take a class and love the positive energy that everyone who attends brings. Master Bama & Master Rachel are incredible souls who truly care about the wellbeing of others and have checked in with me along my healing journey. I moved a couple of yrs ago and most of my family and friends now live over an hour away. The center has brought me so much comfort to connect with incredible people locally. I also took the finding true self workshop about 3 months ago and highly recommend for all. As someone who loves self-development, I have tried many things to get at the core of what has been holding me back from achieving the joyous and fulfilling life I always imagined. I wasn’t expecting it, but the workshop really helped me shift perspective and release those blocks, some that I didn’t even realize were there. One of the most profoundly healing, spiritual, and important experiences of my life! I am so grateful to Master Bama, Master Rachel, Master Susan, and Master Shiwon. I was able to let go of something I never for once even thought needed to be forgiven. I first heard about Body and Brain when I attended the polish fair and they were doing aura readings. I wanted to get my aura read and I did. The people there are very empathetic and made me feel like they really understood what I was going through. At the end they gave me really good advice which I still follow to this day.
I was skeptical at first hence I’m a very scientific and factual person, but I learned that there is a real science behind every tap, every chakra, every acupuncture, and that every nerve in the body has a purpose.
I leaned that the best kind of medicine, is a natural healing one.
As a person who suffered with mental health issues, hospitalization, and medications, I found that my last hope was for body and brain. I wish I heard about them earlier, I truly believe nothing works better than working on one self.
I had a private chakra healing, attended vibrational yoga, and Tai-chi classes.
After class we have a tea and talk session which is very therapeutic. We talk about our experience and thoughts.I love the philosophical mindset that I am constantly acquiring with the masters and I can use this mindset throughout my entire life.
I recommend coming here if you are a teen, feeling overwhelmed with school, adult, going through a mid-life crisis, ANY AGE.
The people who work here have taught me a lot and I helped them volunteer at a yard sale for their “heroes program”.
These people make me feel very cared for, that they are doing everything to help people, and not for the money. These people are great healers.

During the past eight months, I’ve been attending Yoga classes three times a week in Scarsdale.
Recently, I had a Bone Density test revealing an increase in bone mass of 2% in my spine and 4% in my hips.
These results underscore the importance of exercise to increase or maintain bone mass.

Before coming into Body & Brain I was in a very dark place that I thought would last forever. Ive had experiences with yoga and tai chi in the past, but ive always been skeptical about their healing benefits. Body & Brain, true to it's name focuses on the whole self. B&B offers a comfortable and compassionate environment. They have both studio and online classes. Their classes range from yoga to Tai Chi, Qigong and meditation. The also have retreats to Sedona, AZ and Korea. I've attended workshops that have improved my health and my overall emotional health, despite me being stubbornly stuck in my old ways. Their programs are professionally and mindfully run. Body and Brain is helping me to overcome some emotional trauma from childhood through their weekend retreats at Honor's Haven and 1 on 1 healing sessions. I have some physical challenges, but after attending several of their weekly classes, I am starting to see improvement in my abilities to do some movements that I was not able to attempt when I first started. I plan to continue to attend classes with the hope that I will lose weight and get a clearer mindset. The experience has been life changing. I highly recommend Body and Brain retreats, 1 on 1 healing sessions, and attending their weekly classes to anyone who feels "stuck" (need to get over past hurt/disappointment/failure/traumas) and is tired of being tired. I made up in my mind that I wanted to heal from childhood traumas, take control of my life, stop letting things that happened to me in the past determine my fate, and become a better version of myself when I attended the "Finding your True Self" retreat at Honors Haven. Since attending, my life has not been the same. I am more open to opportunities for growth and I have taken advantage of most, if not all, that has fallen into my path to do so. I extend my gratitude to all of the Body and Brain staff, especially Master Bama, my amazing Rachel, so thoughtful Susan. Over the summer I had the opportunity to go to Hero’s night and it was one of the best experiences of 2022. I was able to start the healing process and really find a way to connect with myself internally and Block out all the nose from the fear of going to a place that unconsciously I didn’t want to go to. This place is amazing! It has provided me with piece of mind and a safe place to move my body. The best thing about it is that anyone can do the exercises. I will never forget the day I first met some of the BR region Masters ( Master Christine, Master Jo , Master Arthur and volunteer staff!) at the awaken fair for an aura reading and chair massage. Automatically you feel a wave of welcoming, humble, loving energy emitting from them right away. Its quite emotional and funny to talk about it right now. as I look back to when I started in October 2021 and how much Master Jo, Master Christine , Master Susan and Master Bama and more have helped me get to where I am now.
To continue , when I first stepped foot into the Wellness center, I was welcomed by Master Susan, who I had a great conversation with while I got set up . Master Jo then gave me a thorough and mind blowing Intro session where he deeply described and broke down so many amazing things about the practice that honestly kept planting a seed of hope inside me especially with my Health Conditions and worries (Asthma , anxiety, insecurities, Ulcerative Colitis).
I no longer have anxiety!
I no longer have to use my emergency inhaler during the winter time !
I no longer need my medicine for my colon disease!
I have so much more love , confidence and trust in myself !
I no longer stop myself in my goals and dreams because I look through the victim consciousness and choose my master consciousness, my true self.
Thanks to all the brain education, finding my true self work and the instructors, all of this was made possible. I took back my brain and my life .
The gratitude I have for this place comes from the knowing of who I was and would still be before I stepped in the center to now . =‘)

I really enjoy the classes here. The classes have helped my digestion and develop my lower back strength. In addition, the classes helped me manage my stress and I am less agitated during the day. I feel so safe here. I never feel nervous to go. The environment is very clean and closely connected. The group classes are rejuvenating and settling. It's like an antidote to stress. I am so grateful to have found Body & Brain near me! For ages I had seen pamphlets, and it took a recommendation from a friend to get into it. As a yoga teacher stuck in the times of COVID-19, I felt my spiritual practice and self discipline dwindling. I had the pleasure of taking private classes with Master Susan. Master Susan is a gentle soul that guided me through an enlightened spiritual path. Just writing to update a review of my experiences with Body and Brain Westchester.
In January 2020, I had right knee replacement and I needed major PT just to relearn walking without a cane, doing stairs up and down, stepping up and down from a curb, 100% straightening of the leg and achieving 135 degrees of ROM bend. So PT discharged me.
But I was still not myself. So I took two 4 week classes from Master Susan (Toms) in healing Qigong. And yes I learned about the Chakras and learning to harness my energy to relieve stress, relieve pain and become more centered. But I still wanted to learn more! So I signed up for individual sessions with Master Susan.
What I learned was amazing. Master Bama taught in finding True Self that we need to heal from within to deal with the stresses and aches and pains caused by stress. The long but not complete healing from my knee replacement was aggravating me.
Working one on one with Master Susan (Toms) helped me to integrate the meditational breathing, the energy healing, and to tailor the Tai Chi to the "new me". I now have better balance and everyday tasks are easier, safer, less frustrating. Because I have found ways to tailor or modify the position of my arms, legs, neck, etc. to align with how I (as an individual) can do the movements, get the most benefits from them, feel less stress in my daily tasks, increase my independence and stamina and all around feel happier about who I am and what I can do.
Together she taught me a routine to start and end my day allowing me to stretch and destress. Also, exercises to help me throughout the day to not stress about the difficulties I was experiencing in my healing process.
It is not about what you can't do! It is about how to do in a way that you are able to do it. Being mindful and focusing on your inner strength and applying that to the classes and your everyday life is a special gift that makes me a happier person.
Once again Body and Brain Yoga/Tai Chi has taken me past a difficult situation and helped me to move on to a better place in my life.

I must write to exclaim my appreciation to Master BaMa for her healing, guidance and support during my difficult period of illness this spring. I found myself with a combination of a possible return of cancer, severe hypothyroidism, a major flare up of rheumatoid arthritis and a big case of fatigue and difficulty with the uncertainty of my conditions.
Master BaMa helped me with healing sessions, great advice, nutritional guidance and being a great listener. She helped me with the headaches, relieving the aches and edema and reducing the stress.
Thankfully, everything was put into control and Master BaMa was an important part in my recovery. Western medicine only goes so far. But the healing sessions helped me keep grounded and finding some relief until the doctors figured it all out.

I strongly recommend Brain and Body Yoga. I have been a member for about 3 years now. I initially joined just to get in better shape and lose some weight. I met these initial goals in my first 4 to 6 months. In that time I also realized that I had found a place with so much more.
There is strong sense of community and the masters take a very personal interest in the health and well being of each member. My wife and daughter tried a few classes and both have now been members for some time. We each get different things out of it based on our goals including flexibility, health improvements, positivity, mindfulness, personal growth or just a fun workout.

I am in my fifties, heavy set woman with a lot of health problems. All my life i knew how to be a caretaker, and I totally forgot to take care of myself until last year I got very sick. I had a lot of hospital visits and almost die twice. It was a wake up call. I was so sick, I had to rely on people to care for me. I felt a disconnection from my mind and body. I felt very lost and unhappy. While I had a lot of time in the hospital I reflected on what I have done to myself. This was many years I put in caring for others and long hours in a job that was not worth my time and energy. I can't blame anyone because it was my body and my brain I have to care for and I didn't. I love this yoga a studio which is so much more than just yoga!! I have been a member now for a year and a half and I find myself totally hooked on it!! I come 3-4 times a week and really miss it when I'm away. The Masters are extremely encouraging, knowledgeable, warm and kind. Often after class we are invited to stay for tea and to chat with the other members. We are encouraged to grow spiritually as well as in body and mind. I know some people feel intimidated by the idea of doing yoga, but the classes are appropriate for all ages and all levels of fitness. Some people do chair yoga if that's what they need. Everyone is comfortable at their own level and encouraged to do more at their own pace.

I have been a member since March 2019 along with my friend . We have found the atmosphere welcoming as well as the wonderful staff, Master Joe, Master Daehan, and Master Bama. Clients are all nice people and it feels like a family. There is a variety of classes to participate in, always different and sometimes challenging. My friend also takes private classes with Master Joe , which he finds very beneficial. I would highly recommend this Center, we love it!

This group is unique. Their offerings are integrative and innovative. From Yoga to Martial arts the classes are designed to strengthen, tone and stretch. I've been a member almost a yr now and I must admit that I've come a long way my mobility, stability, flexibility & strength has improved a great deal, I even lost 15lbs. Master John & Master Bama has also been a positive force of energy they take the time to explain what each yoga & tai chi exercises/movements are for and what part of the body & organs it affects for the better. I feel very balanced energetically and strong both mentally, as well as, physically when I practice yoga and meditation at Brain and Body. The classes throughout the week offer a nice variety of challenging movements, exercises and stretching. The classes are easily adapted to meet the needs of all the students in the class, and the teachers do a great job of adjusting the levels of difficulty based on their student’s needs. Master Jo brings fun and laughter to every one of his classes which is an extra added bonus to his skillful teaching and insights. My 16th year old daughter brought me to this place, I've been a member in this location for almost 3 months now. This is my happy place🤗, or our happy place I may say. I look forward everyday for a class. Since I started coming here, my anxiety disappeared. I'm more calm, more relaxed and more compassionate towards my kids, friends and family. I am more aware of my body and I lost a few pounds already. This is not a regular yoga studio, it's more than that: it's a center and a community of people who care for this world and humanity. My doctor said to me “so what medications are you taking now?” I said “Nothing.” After one month of diligently attending classes at this beautiful center, I went back to my doctor for new bloodwork and all of my hormone levels were now normal. This is the first time I've ever gone to an exercise gym; I'm fifty-seven. Body+Brain strips away the reservations of signing up for a complex yoga program or a difficult tai chi regimen. There is magic happening behind these walls. Energy healing magic. I came to Brain and Body Yoga after not having exercised in many months due to some health issues. I am not one for group exercise typically, so I wasn't sure I would be able to commit to actually belonging to a center, but I became a member after the very first session. This morning curmudgeon will even attend the 9 a.m. Saturday classes because it's the best way to start a day.
Some highlights:
Lovely instructors/masters that are engaged, knowledgeable, and caring
Hugs from the instructors/masters - the type that are warming and make you feel validated.
A tea ceremony after classes that allow members to socialize, reflect, and relax.
Classes that become familiar but are varied enough to challenge you in different ways. Master Jo has a knack for weaving a theme or a lesson throughout each that makes you feel like you have journeyed somewhere but returned home when you open your eyes.
A diverse group of members who are more focused on becoming balanced and healthy than on evaluating each other's newest pair of Lululemons.
I am grateful to have found this center and hope to delve into more of what it has to offer.

I recently started the Acupressure Energy Healing program with Master Bama. I eagerly volunteered to receive her healing and had an incredible feeling of warmth and energy from her in our class. Then yesterday I gave 5 chair massages at a corporate Heath fair nearby. I intend to become a certified NJ healer this next year! I was really happy when I was told I had very warm hands and relaxed people. It felt so nice to give my positive warm energy to people! I will still give my photography to people but this was an additional way to give positive energy to heal more people. In this current climate with so much hate, anger and negativity, I really needed to find a meaningful bigger way to help! I do love hugging people! Let me just start by saying how thankful I am for meeting master jo and masterr bama that day in whole food. I now have high hopes for the future. I am a polio victim, my left leg has been thru several operation. I 've had bone fusion,stapling, muscle tightening and more I also had about four years of therapy. After all that my leg was still very very weak. I walk with crutches. I had a private lesson with master jo. That day I went home feeling some sensation in my left leg, that night I couldn't sleep. Something was happening . there was some tingling and spasms going on. I thank master jo and master bama for inviting me to the center. I thought that with my leg in such condition yoga was impossible. I'm very happy to say , I'm now into my eight weeks of yoga,and my leg it's gotten stronger, with the Assistance of a cane I could now balance myself for a few seconds ( which it's a lot for me)and I continue to get stronger everyday. stepping into the center it's very welcoming, comfortable, peaceful. I'll never forget my first private healing with Jonathan that took place at a New York city location. I think it may have been back in 2012-2013? I was so new to the world of spirituality. There was a light in Jonathan that I couldn't help, but desire access to. I asked myself, "how can I become this light? How can I view life through this healthier perspective? How could I stop being victim to my circumstances? How could I grow? Where was my guidance?" Jonathan was the key. I found Body & Brain Yoga when I was searching for Yoga studios near my job. I had recently been promoted at work, a move that pushed me out of my comfort zone and upped my stress levels exponentially. I knew I had to do something good for myself to keep from burning out. I’ve done boot camps and high intensity workouts in the past but this time I needed something different for my frazzled nerves. What made me choose Body & Brain over a traditional Yoga studio (besides the interesting name) were the classes. It was the first time that I had ever seen balancing energy mentioned in a class description and I instantly felt like, yes, that is for me, that is exactly what I’ve been searching for. I signed up online to try a class sight unseen, having not a clue as to what it would be like. And I’m so glad I did. The space is a sanctuary of good vibes. The Masters are amazing, no words on a screen could do them justice, you just have to meet them. The members are equally amazing, and as another reviewer mentioned, there is a lot of diversity among the members which is a major plus for me as well. I’ve been going for about two months now and it’s become more than a class that I go to for exercise or stress relief, it’s become a lifestyle. And as I’m getting to know everyone it’s like a family as well. I’m definitely less stressed, more in tune with my body, and overall a lot happier than I was when I started. I've heard that saying things out loud sends a message to the universe. It's not that I don't believe in it, it's just that I still have so much more to learn. However, this time around, I got lucky. I expressed to a friend that I felt like I needed to feel centered. I referred to it as a 'cleanse.' She excitedly told me about a friend. Someone she thought of so highly and respected. His name is Johnathan. That's all it took. I reached out, he responded & that's how my journey began. I remember feeling so nervous driving to the center, as I got closer to the door, I was even scared. But I'm so glad I pulled through because the second I walked through the door, I was greeted with a warm smile, a personable hello, everyone knew my name & hugs. I'm up to my 3rd class today but so eager to learn & become a better me. I attended the Energy Calligraphy Meditation workshop with Master Bama this afternoon. I never tried Calligraphy before, especially this type but I thought it sounded interesting. It certainly was! The kit and a frame was supplied and we were able to create several designs and even a beautiful framed gift. I plan to look into Calligraphy meditation further and continue to practice what I learned today. I enjoyed this workshop tremendously. I'm looking forward to future presentations like this. My mother and I have been members for 4 months and it's been empowering. This is a great studio. The teachers are excellent and they each have their own area of expertise and emphasis. I am definitely not an expert, but I have been going for about a month and all the teachers are very professional and knowledgeable. They are very welcoming and make everyone feel a sense belonging. I find that I can truly relax and recharge at this studio. The studio space itself is beautiful, quiet, and well thought out. I have been a life member since 2006. I have learned a lot to keep my mind, body and spirit in sync. My masters over the years have been dedicated to the members' well-being. Our current master Jo is amazingly well rounded. He is truly caring and dedicated to the members. My only suggestion to the head quarters is to keep good masters in for long enough time for the benefit of the center and the members.

I love Westchester body and brain. Because it's has helped me tremendously, I started a few week ago. It was kind of not my thing, but now I look forward to be here. My stress level is down my anxiety medication I don't need anymore. The people who work there thought me how to relaxed my mind and love myself. Basically I was a mess when I started, now I am happy I don't screen at my family and friend anymore I am more humble which is a good thing for me. Thank god my oncology recommended to this place. It's just amazing. I loveeeee it.🤗🤗. I recommend this place to everyone. My Doctors recommended me here because I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. With all the treatment, I became frustrated. But since I started come here I am sooo much better. Thank you westchester body and brain.

Dahn Yoga Scarsdale provides an enjoyable combination of exercises that work your body head to toe. The classes are beneficial to all regardless of your current fitness level. The classes combine stretching, aerobic movement, strength, breathing and meditation, all with a focus of self healing. In my first 2 months my energy level and range of motion have significantly improved. The instructors and friendly members make it a very enjoyable experience.

I practice Dahn Yoga in Scarsdale, NY studio (and other centers in Manhattan and New Jersey) since 2006. I found the system, its teachers and quality of classes of high standards. They are all professional trainers and treat students with respect.
Another benefit is that the students are exposed to other teachers and healers of the system as the latter are occasionally invited to regional centers, where they demonstrate and teach self-healing and other useful methods. Personally, I found this absolutely valuable to my spiritual training.
I recommend this system to all my friends as the benefits of self-healing are quite clear with commitment to your health and continuous practice. Once you begin the positive changes in health condition and results of training can be felt within first 2 weeks. (IMHO)

Joining the Daha Yoga program is one of the best choices I have made in my life. It has been a life changing experience for me over the everyday Dahn Yoga practice. It is not a simple physical exercise, but a combination of physical and mind work. Through the exercise, I have learned how to relax, how to heal myself and how to develop positive thinking.The health problems, such as fatigue, back pain and cold body etc, also have been gradually eased. The inner peace I have gained from the everyday practice is immensely valuable. I am still in the learning process, but I can feel the change everyday in a positive way.
The instructors in the Scarsdale center are friendly and supportive. The instruction and guidance from them are clear and thoughtful. The classes are well planned, fun and and purposeful. I always come out of the classes with a peaceful mind and a relaxed body. It is a way of living.

I came to Dahn yoga because I wanted to try out tai chi. I thought it was going to be "business as usual, and boy was I up to an adventurous ride. I have seen my body transform in ways I could only dream of in the past. I have been doing other forms of yoga before, and Dahn was what really moved the needle for me. I have gained such great degree of flexibility and control of my body that now I have confidence to venture into things like aerial yoga (which before was only a dream). Dahn yoga isn't regular yoga- in the way that you only work out your physical form. Dahn yoga's focus is to awaken your physical body so that you can reconnect with your human charcter (soul, inner voice) and listen to your heart- once you've reunited with your human charcter you can open heavens gate and reconnect with your divinity -because we were all created from the divine source. Yes life is suffering, life is hard but once you recognize you have the ability to overcome all obstables you can dance, sing and laugh at the so called sufferings of life. Life is short you must take advantage of the programs dahn yoga has to offer so that you can use your brain to its full potential! Attending classes and healing sessions multiple times a week for a year. Have seen a major improvement in health. Improved my overall energy and flexibility. I truly love going to the classes and I miss it when my life gets to be too busy with taking care of my beautiful little boy, work, my school work since I have gone back to get a second Master's degree in Special Education. Life changing event! I joined Dahn Yoga Center in Scarsdale about 2 years ago. I had a lot of problems with my body at that time, including lower back pain and severe headaches. I came here and took classes for a week. I had to say that it was the first yoga class that I actually liked. I had fun, I laughed, and the instructor encouraged me to go at my own pace. What I liked best? No skimpy gym clothes. As a large woman, I hate standing out in my baggy t-shirt and sweats, but I felt very comfortable, as if I was not being watched due to my weight.
The exercises were unique, but the instructor was kind enough to talk with me (after class) about the most common exercises and how they could help me. I was impressed by how informative it was.
This is actually the second time that I came for a week of classes, and using what I learned from what I shared above, I actually got more out of my class experience. I could release my stress, relax, and enjoy the rest of my day in a calm way, instead of being on edge. If lived closer to this yoga center, I would come every day.

I am profoundly grateful to have found the Westchester Dahn Yoga Center. The unique programs completely turned a "couch potato" to an enthusiastic devotee of movement and exercise. It restored my mobility, after extensive back surgery, where other programs failed to achieve results. The success of the program has to do with their philosophy of brain wave vibration, breath work, yoga, and Tai Chi. The other component that makes this program successful is the warm, caring, compassionate staff, Master Jo and Master Tae Kyun. Their dedication and guidance keeps you coming back. You will experience the joy of movement and an opening of heart-felt emotions that are healing on all levels. There are workshops, meditation circles, community events, and even a relaxing tea time hour. It is truly an all encompassing holistic enviornment.
