In this midst of crazy life, I try to come at least once a week, I wish I could come more often, even then I become the happiest myself after every class. My favorite is Friday morning dancing class. Oh I love it. Love Hae Chun’s direction. Her voice is very soothing. Love her all classes. She is the best. Hope and pray I can continue coming all my life and feel relaxed ❤️

Master Hae Chun is the heart and soul of Body and Brain Yoga Tai Chi. I have been attending

I joined Brain and Body Yoga almost 3 years ago. At that time, I didn’t feel well physically or emotionally. A friend suggested I try yoga. I looked locally and found Brain and Body. After I met Master Hae Chun and did an introductory session, I knew this practice was for me. Within a few months, I started to feel better physically. When we did a check in and spoke about how I was feeling, I reported physically I was feeling much better, but emotionally still struggling. Master Hae Chun recommended several workshops that Brain and Body offered. I nervously signed up. These workshops turned out to be instrumental in my healing journey. I can’t thank Master Hae Chun and Brain and Body Yoga for the guidance they have provided me during my journey.

My husband and I benefit immensely from Body & Brain yoga. We have been engaged in yoga for seven years or more. We are in our 70’s and 80's and have found that our flexibility has dramatically improved. We go two to three times a week to open up our energy!! The Masters are fun and explain what we should be feeling as we stretch and move. We are so thankful that Body and Brain offers different classes. We continue as we must and feel at peace and energized in our daily life. Thank you Body & Brain for that. Master Joyce has such a soothing voice. Also, her Tai Chi class is marvelous. Excellent!! Seriously, this center and these classes are excellent. A five-star rating just isn’t enough. Daily exercise has always been part of my life, but this practice is different than traditional workouts – and it turns out that this is better – much, much better. I’ve been coming about 8 years, but my body feels 20 years younger now than it did when I joined. Body & Brain fosters a gentle, yet full, workout, and I wind up having more energy afterward than when I start. And it’s enjoyable – I love it and, more importantly, my body loves it. Master Joyce runs this particular center, and she is terrific. She fosters a warm, welcoming and positive atmosphere. With a calm tone and gentle sense of humor, she helps guide the class to gain maximum benefit and have fun while doing it. When class is over, we all leave feeling calm, happy and energized.

Love Body & Brain Mineola. Been attending tai chi and energetics classes there for about 15 months. (They offer several other types of classes, too.) With Master Hae Chun’s guidance I can now do so many moves and have expanded my physical capabilities in many ways. It’s really gratifying to see yourself improve! It’s also wonderful training for your mind. I love the mix of qigong, tai chi / energetics, energy work, and guided relaxation. This holistic approach to mind-body that has given me so much. For years I drove past Body and Brain in Mineola, on my way to the myriad of activities in my hectic life. I kept on promising myself that I would take up yoga and tai chi one day. Then in August of 2021, my world was shattered after a breast cancer diagnosis. I sought relief for the extreme anxiety I felt. I tried a number of remedies such as medication and hypnosis but these did not address the despair and extreme fatigue that I was experiencing. Then as I was picking up my medication at Lafayette Pharmacy in Mineola, I saw a leaflet from Body and Brain. I signed up for individual healing sessions with Master Hae Chun. I was impressed immediately with this professional's intelligence, knowledge, insightfulness and compassion. Master Hae Chun was a nurse before joining Body and Brain and therefore understands at a medical level the various issues I have been facing. Though my sessions have been interrupted by surgeries and recovery, I have benefitted greatly from Hae Chun's masterful teachings and coaching. I have been able recently to attend the various classes offered such as yoga, tai chi and wooden pillow. What I find extraordinary is the fact that as fatigued as I am when I come to class , I leave feeling balanced and energized. The only thing I regret is that I waited so long to partake of the healing gems offered by Master Hae Chun and Body and Brain!

I attended few private sessions with Master Hae Chun @ Body & Brain Yoga in Mineola. She is truly gifted and showed her talents and gave me expert advice with heaping dose of self-confidence to self care recovery. I was experiencing muscle weakness, back pain, nervous plus obesity & host of other ailments that are impossible to fit or mention in here. I am just happy I crossed her path, grateful, and happy she showed me a way to restore my health back with many tools in hand (I purchased some tools, she also recommended books of Master Ilchi Lee), a very well written book & will follow its path to mindfulness and better health as time goes by. Master Hae Chun is a wellness sage with remarkable gift & her guidance pinpoints health issues that had been plagued me for years. She is effective healer, too. Enrolling in Master Hae Chun’s Health Coaching Class has been a life changing experience for me. She is very knowledgeable and willingly shares her knowledge with you. I am learning how to take control of my diet and the food choices that I make. Additionally, I am learning about the powerful connection food has on the mind and body. This course has made me more conscious of my intake of foods. I read labels more and check the glycemic index levels of foods. If you are interested in changing your diet as a way of life then this is the course for you.

I recently took a 3-week Holistic Health Coaching class with Master Hae Chun. The classes were interesting and extremely informative. I(we) learned and participated in a 3-week Elimination Diet; learned a lot about foods to enjoy and foods to avoid;food chemistry; and the Glycemic Index. Since this is a Holistic course, we also learned techniques
to improve our Spiritual and Mental(brain) health. Master Hae Chun is an excellent, knowledgeable, gentle teacher with a good sense of humor! Oh and we learned to make healthy, tasty smoothies! I highly recommend this course!

I began attending both general and private sessions with Master Joyce soon after retirement several years ago. The experience was both physically and mentally healing, and satisfying. I learned to better manage my stress and improve my flexibility. I began practicing at Body & Brain Yoga a few months ago and some of
my physical pains have either subsided or completely gone. More
importantly, I have seen a lot collateral, including mental, benefits from
practicing Yoga.
I attend classes twice a week and I always look forward to my classes because the instructor Joyce is so patient and the explanations are easy to follow.

If you need a place to go to escape your troubles, Brain and Body Yoga of Mineola is the place to go.
Master Joyce is very good at helping you find the right way to enjoy but push your body to move through the yoga class with a smile on your face. She also has helped me find a way to quiet my mind through meditation. In these troubling times going to yoga gives me a place to find healing and peace .

I just finished a special series of online classes offered by Body&Brain in Mineola targeting lower back pain, tight thigh muscles, tight calves and swollen ankles. The classes offered natural healing methods encompassing exercises, acupressure and massage techniques to relieve these conditions. After months of feeling discomfort in these areas and limited mobility, this class alleviated the tightness and pain in just three weeks and I’m back to my busy life once again. It is with great pleasure that I have the opportunity to share my experience at Master Hae Chun's (Joyce) Body and Brain center. From the moment I entered the space of the center, Master Hae Chun was there to pleasantly greet me. The surroundings were crystal clean- I appreciated Master Hae Chun's background as a Nurse Practitioner. I knew right away it would add to the experience I wanted to attain. Then I got to meet the other members as we sipped warm delicious date and ginger tea after class where we could talk of the class we had just had with such warm, compassionate , open and honest people, with whom I have developed friendships over time. Joyce takes the time during her classes before and after and in-between to remind us to be aware of our bodies and more ...-how the interplay of mind body and spirit are of the utmost importance on our road to health and well being.. She really cares.... about each and every one of us.... really.... I have been a member many years back in another center and I am so very glad that I am here. I feel that my soul has come home again. I feel a peace and a well grounded presence as I continue to grow and learn.. the practice itself being so very important.. Each of us are individuals in our own right , together finding our way... by observing inside, to generate a healing paradigm ... I am in a helping profession. I have learned through practicing with Master Hae Chun that our energy reserves become depleted from too much stress and preoccupation with the challenges of life.. Taking yoga classes at this center has CHANGED MY LIFE. I am so much more aware of my actions and I'm living in the moment for the first time in my life. You not only take yoga classes, but there's a huge focus on strengthening your body as well as your brain. My favorite class is Tai Chi but I recommend any of their classes! I feel like a new person when I leave the center.

I am not an athlete, don’t like to exercise and I think I am allergic to sweating. After a year of taking classes with Master Joyce I have muscles! I look forward to going to class and I don’t mind getting sweaty!
Master Joyce has a wealth of information that she shares in a gentle non threatening manner. From day one, she helps you to feel like you can do it!
I have had pain in my knees and back for years. I had private Healing Sessions with Master Joyce and the improvement in my flexibility , strength and range of motion is remarkable. I can get out of a chair without worrying about the pain I will have.
I still have good and not so good days. However, I know that if I keep going to Body & Brain Yoga I will be alright.

I have chronic back and neck pain, so I decided to take a trial class...Best decision I could have made. Joyce is a wonderful instructor who gets to know each and every individual in her classes!!! She advises people according to their own abilities and their personal physical & mental issues. The stretching in this class makes me feel as if I had a massage! In addition, Joyce guides the class through one of the best meditation sessions I have ever had...& that is after trying numerous yoga studios. So glad I decided to walk in on a whim! I signed up for a trial class to give it a shot, and immediately joined as a member right after. The instructor Joyce is TRULY a healer. She is extremely knowledgable in what she does & exhibits a kind helping personality & spirit. Before Body & Brain I felt so mentally stressed that it led to back-pain & major anxiety. After years of playing competitive sports, injuries and arthritis had taken a toll. In my mid-sixties I knew I needed to make changes after having both knees replaced and having issues with both shoulders.
I never did much stretching and I knew I needed to start. I met Joyce at the Williston Park Street Fair and decided to give Yoga a shot.
I started taking Yoga with Joyce at Body & Brian Yoga in October 2013. Originally, I took private sessions. Because of my restrictions, I didn’t want to take a regular class and Joyce modified the program as needed. My progress has been steady. I can now clasp my hands behind my back and it is much easier putting on jackets and belts. I have less pain when sleeping at night. I now attend group classes usually three times a week.
I heartily endorse Joyce and Body and Brain Yoga. She is a very competent instructor who cares about her students and their progress. I never thought I would ever take Yoga but now look forward to our sessions. I realized that with Joyce’s demeanor I could have taken group classes from the start. She is very supportive of new members helping them to get acclimated. I’m use to heavy gym workouts but this form of Yoga is much more gentle and easier on the joints.
