Although I rarely write reviews, I felt compelled to share my positive experience at Breakthrough Performance. For many years, I have struggled to motivate myself to improve my physical strength. My friend recommended a two-week trial for the adult small group training sessions. While she had a wonderful experience at BP, I was initially hesitant and uncertain. I have often felt inadequate and insecure at the gym. However, from the moment I entered the gym, trainers Marc, Eric, and Evan have been exceptional.
My experience has been truly remarkable. They have unlocked my inner athlete in a remarkable way. We have engaged in discussions about both short-term and long-term goals, including nutrition counseling and I have consistently demonstrated my commitment to executing them. Knowing that these experienced trainers are monitoring my progress and providing guidance has significantly reduced my fear of failure and propelled me forward.
At the age of 52, I have never felt better. I am already noticing tangible results. I am grateful that they are observing my movements to prevent injury and holding me accountable for my progress. This journey has also introduced me to some incredibly inspiring individuals who share our common goal of strengthening ourselves and improving our overall well-being.

I joined Breakthrough Performance 2 months ago mainly to keep my bones healthy with weight lifting and to tone up. Evan, Eric and Marc are great coaches. My fitness routine prior to joining consisted mainly of video workouts and walking, which did not include any weights . Not knowing where to start and having no confidence to join a gym where I would have no idea what to do, I joined Breakthrough Performance. The coaches guide you through every routine. I work in an office. I am also a traveling wrestling mom. It's a lot of sitting. I'm either sitting in front of a computer or through meetings; in long car rides; or through day-long tournaments. I try to off-set all of this inactivity with jiu-jitsu but all the sitting and getting older in general is making me more injury-prone.
Breakthrough has been the perfect solution. Eric, Evan and Marc are attentive, knowledgeable and super supportive. They stay aware of everyone's goals and adapt their programs to individual injuries. I've been working with them for just over a month now and they have already helped me get stronger and more resilient for jiujitsu. The training has also noticeably sped up my metabolism to counter all the sitting.
I really love the program and the trainers. My whole family now trains at Breakthrough. I can't recommend them enough.

Breakthrough Performance is not your typical gym. Evan and Erik customize a specialized workout plan and help every step of the way to execute the plan. Eric and the other coaches are amazing—very supportive, attentive, and great with communication. Our son has been training at Breakthrough for several months, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. As a hockey and lacrosse player, his goals were to build more strength and endurance to improve his performance both on the ice and on the field. Eric and Marc have done an incredible job helping him reach those goals through structured, motivating, and age-appropriate training.
We’ve seen such a noticeable difference — he’s lifting heavier weights, running and skating faster and further, and overall has become a much stronger and more confident athlete. Beyond the physical gains, this gym has also helped us as parents better understand the importance of nutrition, recovery, and how to balance his on-ice training with his off-ice work.
One of the things we appreciate most is the sense of community here — the athletes push and encourage each other, and it’s created such a positive environment for growth and hard work. I have been a happy client since mid-Jan 2025. I am a 61 year-old male cancer/heart patient survivor and needed to do something to prolong my health and stick around for my family. I started to look at gym memberships and deemed them to be unmotivating. I didn't need to sit on equipment and watch the half-naked people filming for IG. I saw Eric's post on FB and contacted him for a consultation. Eric gave went over nutrition, the atmosphere of small coached classes and most importantly, dealing with people in my age bracket (50+). I started their program the next week and I have been going twice a week now at the 8 AM class time slot. Getting it done first thing is the morning is a plus since you have more initial energy. In the beginning, I was nervous because I was out of shape and would have no energy. Well that part was true and I have worked my way up slowly to complete each session at my own pace. The training focuses on your core, balancing and strength training with weights, You have three timed sessions for which you rotate through 3 exercises. So you are doing basically 9 exercises for the class. They keep a diary on you for the weights being used at each session. The goal is to advance to the next weight increment and push yourself to the point of failure where you may only be doing 4 reps out of 8. Gains are not instantaneous but I have seen changes. I see a six-pack trying to Breakhrough the visceral fat that plagues older adults. I have noticed over time that exercising your body gets easier because you are familiar with the exercise and can jump right into it. The music they play varies with the mood of the class and AC/DC usually picks up the pace. Coming to class now is where you know faces and names and there is no judgement. Just showing up puts a smile on people's faces. So come down and try a class with Eric, Evan and Mark. As my friends now say, now is the time to get your act together.

I have had 3 herniated discs in my neck for close to 10 years. They started acting up pretty bad in the past year and I had to stop lifting how I normally do in the gym. Upper body days were nothing but pain and disappointment. After trying physical therapy for 6 months, and multiple trainers, I decided to try breakthrough performance. Within 3 sessions I am now back to performing every lift I used to be able to do without pain. I highly recommend going to breakthrough performance.

I joined this gym for the summer shred program (4 weeks, up to 3x a week). Was a great way to check out the gym. Great experience.
The classes were awesome. I loved that they were very small groups (up to 7 people). Evan was focused on form, technique, safety and progress. He was aware of my ability (or inability) and pushed when I could be pushed. The routines focused on all body parts and muscle groups. Each workout was a fast paced, packed hour. I loved it. I can’t say enough good things about Breakthrough! I reached out to Eric after a 5-year workout sabbatical and this time, I wanted a professional to tailor a workout regimen for me instead of doing the same workouts that may not be beneficial like I was doing in the past. Now in my 40’s, I am always trying to raise my fitness level, but nagging injuries from a lifetime of athletics have sometime stopped my progress. The cardio would go well, but the strength training would irritate those old injuries. Love Evan, Eric & Matk. I'm an older women who stopped worked out years ago. They made me feel completely comfortable at my first session and I really enjoy working out again. I’ve tried all kinds of workouts over the years and was always told that strength training was what I was missing. The training at Breakthrough Performance is unique, personal, and effective. When I injured my shoulder outside the gym, Eric “fixed” me! He spent the time assessing the injury and giving me exercises to help my recovery. I started at Breakthrough Performance close to a year ago. I was ready to make change and wanted to include weight training in my exercise routine. I had attended previous gyms where I felt I may hurt myself with the pace and lack of supervision when lifting weights. The team at BP teaches you how to lift, listens - and has a lot of patience- to make you push yourself but feel comfortable while you are getting strong. They also will help with nutrition if you are interested and that too has helped me lost close to 20 lbs without feeling like I have had to deprive myself. The mantras of consistency and not being perfect but doing the work is what healthy living is about while having fun. The people who attend the gym are nice and the team is terrific. I am very happy with the results and being part of BP.

I first connected with Eric at Breakthrough about 5 months ago when my son was going through some PT to get back on track from an injury. As an athlete playing two very high level sports (hockey and lacrosse), we recognized that he had reached a point in his development where sports alone were not providing the strength and conditioning foundation he really needed to stay healthy and injury-free. When we found Breakthrough, I wasn't totally sure what to expect and simply hoped for a good, safe workout. But we got way more than that and, 5 months later, my son is deeply committed to his 2-3x weekly workouts and its truly a highlight of his week. He has developed such a great base for understanding proper fitness, from form to weight loading and training. He has embraced additional information and ideas too, including proper nutrition and fueling for growing athletes. As he is a near-teenager, I firmly believe that creating this understanding around what is healthy and appropriate will stay with him for years to come and be the foundation upon which is he able to build his own ongoing routines and growth. Breakthrough is so much more than a gym for athletes (though it is great at that) - its a community and experience that will help your student athlete create long lasting habits and best practices for their future.

I can’t recommend Breakthrough Performance enough. My son started training here after his wrestling season ended to build strength and add muscle. After seeing the incredible progress he made, gaining about 10 pounds of muscle and dramatically increasing his strength in a short time, I decided to give it a try myself.
I joined their 6-week weight loss and muscle building challenge, and after 4 weeks, I’ve already lost 12 pounds of fat and noticed significant improvements in my strength and muscle definition. The trainers here are not only incredibly knowledgeable in weight training and fitness, but they are also friendly and motivating. It’s clear they are invested in their clients’ success.
What I love most about this program is the accountability. The scheduled workouts make it nearly impossible to skip, and the trainers provide great advice on nutrition. I’ve struggled with my diet in the past, but their support and guidance during our nutrition meetings and throughout my workouts have kept me on track. Even when I experience a setback with my eating, I know I just need to keep moving forward. No giving up.
This program has been a game changer for me. I used to struggle working out on my own, but the community at Breakthrough Performance is amazing. The trainers are fantastic, and the other clients in my small group are a joy to work with. If you’re looking for results, support, and a great training environment, this is the place to be.

Walking had been my main form of exersize for many years and I thought it was enough to keep me fit. I realized though that it wasn't keeping away age-related muscle loss when I began to notice difficulty with daily activities and less strength in general. I started looking for a gym and saw that Breakthrough Performance had great reviews and now I know why!! Eric, Evan and Xavier are great coaches!! They are very knowledgeable, make training motivating and fun, and care about each member. The small group training format allows personal attention from the coach with the benefit of being in a supportive and fun environment. The coaches are good at explaining each exersize and making modifications if needed. They make each session challenging and productive no matter your ability or experience level. Since starting, my fitness and strength have improved, I feel better both physically and mentally and even sleep better! A few members from Huntington Community First Aid Squad next door recommended that I check the place out. I came in had a one on one meeting about my goals which included burning fat and helping me get rid of pain in certain areas. Decided to try it out and a month into it, I saw a ton of progress. At first I was hesitant to join Breakthrough Performance. I have never been able to consistently go to the gym, I would always end up hurting myself in some way and I was nervous because I never knew if what I was doing was right. My mom got the ad on instagram and we decided to check it out together, the rest is history. Every trainer is unique and great in their ways of showing and teaching you how to do the exercises, as well as giving corrections to better work with your body. The community is non judgmental and extremely friendly, everyone is there to feel better and get stronger. I can confidently say I’m getting stronger day by day, I’m not scared to push myself and work out anymore. If you’ve been wanting to work on your health and fitness but aren’t sure if you would fit in at the gym, or you’re working through some injuries and you want to get stronger without getting hurt - this is the place for you.
The trainers are welcoming, encouraging and knowledgeable. They foster a judgement free positive environment where each person can work toward individual goals.
The programs are challenging but anything can be adapted to your needs. I have significant back issues and the trainers always adapt the program so I can do a less intense or more back-friendly version of one exercise but then push on the others that won’t hurt my back. In just a few weeks I feel stronger, stand taller, and I’m getting better sleep.
It’s hard to try something new, especially if you are an adult and you aren’t used to working out. But everyone has a starting point and with the right support, you can push past any obstacles and achieve your goals. The Breakthrough team truly cares about each person in the gym and will check on you in and out of the gym to make sure everything is working the most optimal way for you.
I sound like an evangelist but as someone who has dealt with back issues, chronic pain and disability for years I have seen how life changing strength training can be with the right support.
Having been through years of physical therapy, good and bad, I know the difference a good trainer makes and Evan, Eric, and Xavier are the real deal.
I would recommend Breakthrough to anyone with a positive attitude and a desire to be stronger and healthier.

Trainers at Breakthrough are friendly and careful to make sure you are comfortable to go at your own pace while at the same encouraging you to push yourself. There offer for a free trial and insisting on finishing the trial before committing to their program made them seem more genuine and thoughtful and was what encouraged me to join and invest in my health. Love that I can workout with people in my age group and the app to schedule classes can allow me to pick my preference in group size. Can’t wait to see how I look in 3 months. I came to Breakthrough on my daughter's recommendation (she's a chiropractor) to continue rehabbing my shoulder and rebuild my strength. At the time, I needed assistance to put on my coat because of the pain and limited range of motion. My ultimate goal was to get back to swimming and enjoy the activities I love. I went regularly for PT and chiropractic adjustments which helped but I plateaued - I needed something more. That's when I went to Eric. From day one, the experience was different. Eric assessed the situation, set realistic goals, and created a personalized plan. By the end of the second visit my ROM improved and I was able to put on my coat by myself with virtually no pain! I gained a lot of hope from that moment. Now, almost a year later, I've seen consistent improvements in my strength and mobility. I'm swimming again, feeling stronger, and getting closer to the life I've been missing. I have been seeing Eric for a few months now. I originally went for back pain. Since attending I have become much stronger and do not have the lower back pain I once had. I highly recommend trying a personal training session. Eric has really tailored a workout that works for my body. Since I have had such success I have enrolled my 15 yr old daughter in the teen groups for the past couple of months and she is really enjoying it. She plays soccer and runs track and feels working at breakthrough will improve her abilities in both sports.

Love this place! Trainers are very focused on making sure everyone does exercises correctly so we don’t get hurt and so we get the most out of our sessions. Typically small groups of 4-7 people, with rotations in workouts. These exercises focus on different muscles and the trainers are sure to explain each to you. I’ve been learning a lot and feeling the burn!! If you’ve had injuries they are sure to not push you (unless you ask!). My mom came to one of the charity events they held, and we had a blast! She signed up for the trial. I’m excited to go back every time.

I saw an ad on Instagram for Breakthrough Performance. It looked different than physical therapy, which I’ve been to so much and never got fully helped for my goals. I wanted to be able to get off the floor on my own because my arthritis was debilitating. The attention I received at Breakthrough helped me reach my goals and become confident in getting up and doing more. When I started, I was not able to get up off the floor, walk the down the stairs, or do the elliptical without pain. Since starting my training here not even 6 months ago, my strength has increased significantly more that it would’ve at a conventional gym. For example, my max deadlift increased from 245 x5 to 405 x1. Getting stronger and faster has led to a huge improvement in my wrestling. I give credit to all of the coaches for their excellent knowledge which is reflected by every person that trains here. My son joined Breakthrough as an athlete for strength training. I went to a family work out to see what it was all about and realized I could benefit from these work outs as well! I took dance lessons all my life so I felt like I had a good core but after having 2 kids and being in my late 40s, it was slipping away. I felt weak performing everyday functional tasks. Walking up stairs, my knees would hurt, lifting a case of water my elbows and shoulders would hurt. Strength training with Eric, Evan, and Xavier was life changing for me. The coach's are professional, knowledgeable and most importantly experienced. They will coach you on everything from form to nutrition and they are such nice guys!
I hurt my back and thought I couldn't work out because I was in so much pain. I even contacted a doctor. They noticed I hadn't been coming in and reached out to find out what was going on. Eric convinced me to come in. In just 1 session I walked out with no pain!!

The instruction & environment is top notch, my son is a year round wrestler, who also plays seasonal baseball, football and practices Jiu Jitsu. I was strong but I didn’t feel like an athlete, stretching did nothing for me. My shoulders have not subluxated a single time since I joined and I have no shoulder pain anymore, my box jump went up and I feel more like an athlete. I am repping my old deadlift max with ease. I have been purchasing workout programs since I was 12, and not a single one can hold a candle to Pullman Performance.

I did not have enough strength before Pullman. I wanted to pull more, snap harder, and pop opponents into the bleachers. Now, my biggest advantage is my strength and I move my opponents around the mat much better. My opponents come up to me after our matches just to tell me how strong I felt. Pullman Performance has a great community of people all dedicated to getting stronger.

My lower back was extremely tight and I was frustrated with how immobile I felt after every lift. Not only did my back improve immensely, my other core lifts shot up within 2 months of consistent training. I was on the fence awhile and im glad I went through with it. If you want to stay mediocre, don’t join

I was lacking strength in many matches and it would make each match harder. I was also getting injured nearly every week. I have been able to lift heavier each week, and feel capable of finishing a move any period of the match while wrestling at a heavier weight. Pullman Performance will give you a leg up and I’ve seen more improvement going there then I’ve ever seen going to the gym.

I had rotator cuff issues and it annoyed me during wrestling. I couldn’t bench press before and now it is the strongest it has been. If you are on the fence, just try it out.

I had a lot of shoulder problems and it was frustrating because it would bother me a lot during wrestling where I was limited in certain moves. I feel better in more range of motion and mentally better with it. My wrestling is much better and I feel stronger. Coach Eric knows the best workouts.

Before training at Pullman Performance, I faced poor self-esteem in terms of body issues, limited flexibility, and being constantly tired. I just felt lousy and depressed. After joining Pullman Performance I started having more confidence in myself and realized I had the potential to become stronger, fitter, and more flexible. My belt loop has decreased and my clothes fit better. I have more energy and confidence. If someone is on the fence I would say push yourself to try it. It is so easy not to do, but once you start, just like I did, it will become part of your weekly routine. I highly recommend Pullman.

I felt weak in important wrestling positions. I had a tough time scoring because of this and it made me stop shooting so I wouldn’t get hurt. My strength has dramatically increased and scoring is not a problem anymore. Join Pullman Performance, he will guide you if you want to get strong!

I was frustrated that I was never able to work out my legs without hurting my back. I learned how to make physical adjustments so I could push weight without causing injury. I was lacking in stability, speed and strength but I wanted to get better as an athlete. I realized that there’s more to training and there’s a purpose for everything in the gym. I never deadlifted and now deadlift over 275. Working out here with my dad shows me that there anyone can workout together no matter their ability. Workout with Eric, there’s nothing to lose.

No matter what I tried couldn’t seem to pack on the pounds. I got into a regular and regimented workout routine with exercises focused on strength and practicality which readjusted my goals and ideas of success. I was frustrated with always getting injured. I began doing injury prevention and I got so much stronger. I had some serious hip pain and it started to go away and I became way more mobile making me more flexible and better at wrestling. My main problems were injuries, stiffness, lack of mobility. I felt terrible like I wasn’t getting the most out of my wrestling because I was not moving well. After I started to notice more mobility and better movement on the mat while my numbers in the weight room skyrocketed. Just try it. I promise you will feel so much better and will still be getting stronger. It’s nice not having to play the guessing game when it comes to the weight room. Coach pullman knows what is needed for his athletes to achieve their goals and feel better in the process

I was annoyed with being slow, having bad mobility, and lacking of upper body strength. I increased my upper body strength significantly. Also became a lot faster, became a better athlete and boosted my confidence. Eric is a great coach who is extremely knowledgeable. Highly recommend!
