As a 30 year old who didn't know how to swim I highly recommend the British swimming school at LA fitness Garden city park. All instructors are good but Mya is by far my favorite. 10/10 recommend.

My children have been with British Swim School for the past 1.5 years. Started with neither know how to swim at all, to now flying full lanes with all 4 styles. All the instructors are amazing! You cannot go wrong with any of them. Highly recommended for any parent who wants their children to learn this essential life skill while having fun.

I learned how to swim from them and over come my fear of water. Props to Julian for being my teacher for most of the sessions and they have lessons with just about 1-2 people so its pretty hands on. Further, the price is reasonable.

my childs instructor prabsharan was fantastic. Really helped my child grow very fast. My 4 year old loves him. Everyday she asks if she can go see Prabsharan. I dont know what magical spell he put on her but she loves him!

As an adult who have never learned to swim, I have a lot of anxiety being in water, but the instructors are so patient and calm. After taking the classes for a few weeks, I am much more confident in water and have learned many new skills. Thank you British Swim School! Highly recommend!

My son started at around 13 months and he has always been apprehensive of strangers. Sarah, Prabh, Waldi, Janelle, and Chris have been so great in getting him comfortable that now, 7 months on, not only is he thriving in the lessons, but he’s so excited to see everyone each week. Sarah takes her time with her lessons and makes so so enjoyable to both, the kids and adults! The whole experience here is amazing!

As an adult, trying to overcome the fear of water and learn how to swim has been a goal long overdue. After some research on some of the other swim school in the area. I decided on the British swim school based on past testimonies and reviews and finally took the plunge (pun intended) and signed up for classes, originally at the Lake Success location but switched to the Garden City location because there was a spot opened on the particular day that works for me.

After, taking these classes for a couple of months, no mistake was made in choosing The BSS at the Garden City location because the two instructors for the adult swim class (Sarah and Prab) knows how to keep the anxiety level at a minimal by making learning to swim, fun. Now, I may not be at an advance level but what I do know is that I know a lot more than day one and I have much more confident in the pool than I originally did and have much more to learn, thanks to the instructors there.

Keep in mind that picking the right school and instructors for swim class can be subjective in what the individual wants to achieves and get out of the school and class. These classes are only 30 mins long with a class ratio of 4:1, so if you really want to learn how to swim in the shortest time frame, the school offers private classes and if you are a slow learner like myself and your coordination skills and timing is a little off, it may take a couple of extra classes or more pool time to get to those goals but have patience the instructors at The BSS will get you there.

My nephew goes to British, swim school and I took him a few times. The instructors Janel, prab, Ty , Sarah, and Christian were great. They had great energy and be very attentive. Overall had a great experience

British swim schools swim instructors are the best. I was so nervous with my 6yr old son and his impulsiveness with jumping into pools with no swimming experience. My decision to give him swimming lessons with British was the best for my son and, his water safety. I want to thank the swim instructors Darcy( his main instructor)Ty and Danny for being so patient with my son and showing him the correct way to swim. I trust that he will float if he’s in distress, have correct form of swimming and he now respects the water.
I thank all the instructors who are 100% professional. I recommend this school and this location to any parent!

I recently had the pleasure of enrolling my child in the British Swim School, and I can confidently say that it was the best decision I could have made for their swimming education. The instructors are top-notch and truly know how to engage with children, making each lesson both enjoyable and informative.
