Burning Fitness offers semi-private, personal training sessions with NASM certified personal trainers. One-on-one quality training at an affordable price! Your trainer will design a custom, progressive fitness program that's tailored to fit your body, your life, AND your goals — whether it's fat loss, muscle building, or enhancing performance, balance, flexibility and overall health & fitness.
The spacious fitness center located at 1048 Niagara Street is regularly cleaned & sanitized, and features personal item storage, bathrooms, shower, and tons of brand new exercise equipment! The building is secure and has monitored, off-street parking.

I have been with Burning Fitness since their inception in 2021. In my time, they have kept every program unique, helped me reach personal records, and provided proper guidance on my form that I have kept with me. Their new location is clean, welcoming, and provides the best experience for weight training. They deliver consistent service and quality.

I joined Burning Fitness a year ago and trained at the gym three times a week. My experience has been outstanding. The training staff is attentive, courteous, and incredibly helpful. They’re also very knowledgeable. The gym itself is always clean and well-maintained. Working out there became a weekly highlight for me. Steve and Trey are excellent!
When I had my initial consultation, Steve took into account all of my fitness goals and created a workout that is putting me on track to achieve them. I have tendonitis in my shoulder that has given me pain on and off for years, and my workout routine was tailored to slowly help strengthen it over time.
I have been going to Burning Fitness for almost 6 months and feel like I have been getting closer to my goals with each training session. Steve and Trey are very encouraging and have been so helpful with answering every question I've thrown at them throughout my fitness journey!

Steve and Trévon have clients of all ages, ability levels, and training experience (this is mostly a traditional strength training gym, not cross-fit or similar HIIT). They really work with you to see where you're at and the training plans are customized for you/your goals. Equipment here is top-notch as well. Pricing is fair for what you get, especially considering the training is often 1-to-1 or 2-to-1 depending on the time slot. They can also offer advice on recovery and nutrition, and will always make adjustments to your plan depending on how you are feeling. Most importantly, Steve & Trévon cultivate a positive, affirming atmosphere and are really good guys!

My experience at Burning Fitness Buffalo was anything but pleasant for me. The owner and the trainer DO NOT focus enough on clients. Shortly after my first few sessions, I witnessed that their other clients were having the same issues I was. I signed up initially for a three month commitment and by my 2nd month I had made no progress. No before or after photos, or weigh-ins. The first 2 visits they had me do 2 stretches and use a rolling pad. Then they showed me a workout routine which did not change at all in the two months I was there (2 months, 3x per week) I was doing the SAME EXACT stretches & the SAME work out with no variation. They wouldn’t tell me what to even do. I’d just casually be “like ok so I’m doing this work out now? The same one?” and they would be like “yep” and just walk away. I stated thinking, I’m paying $300+ for this “personal training” when instead I could easily be paying a $15 membership at a gym and learn more from a work out app. They chill on their phones for a quarter of the time during my workouts or talk to each other about irrelevant shit the rest of the time. They never watched my form or count how many reps I was hitting at all , (NO ACCOUNTABILITY) which is one of the main reasons I was paying for a personal trainer, and I told them them that when I enrolled. Half the time I was there I would only do half the reps because I was bored doing the same work out every single time I was (catalyst trainers are so much better) I tried to give a small local business a chance and this is the support I got, i would train with 2 other people in the group at burning Buffalo and I noticed a magnitude of times where other people in the group would also just zoom through there workout just like myself doing the same routine and side eyeing the trainers because it’s the SAME ROUTINE EVERYTIME and they’re not getting the help they need. So THERE would be NO holding you accountable for your work outs( lack of motivation for sure thru my experience) it was frustrating to pay this much money for these services. I don’t know how they have 4.8 stars still but I’m sure more and more people will pick up on their tactics and speak up if they don’t change these habits in the work place. I tried canceling my last month for multiple reasons. 1. I moved too far away, 2. I was not pleased with the experience, 3. I was done working my seasonal job. Told him my reasons but my card was still charged, THANKS FOR PUTTING MY ACCOUNT NEGATIVE $300 in tough times for some poor services, ( if I knew I would be doing the same exact routine for 2 months I definitely would not have signed up) These guys can seem ok at first when you sign up (I was a bit weary )but gave them a chance. They are definitely not worth $360 a month! I would rather go to catalyst and get a 30 minute individual session for a very similar price if not cheaper ( also I would fly thru my group session workout in 30 minutes at burning because I would barely want to be there anymore so I’d just cheat and rush out out of there) a few years ago I learned a lot more stretches and workouts with way more discipline from catalyst trainers. So when I go back into my seasonal work I will be going back to catalyst.
I DID NOT WANT TO PUT THEM ON BLAST. IM FAR FROM A BITTER PERSON AND USUALLY JUST LET STUFF GO BUT I ACTUALLY FEEL LIKE I HAD TO VOICE MY OPINION ON THIS & don’t want anyone else to fall for the negligence!

I joined Burning Fitness in November 2022 having never set foot in a gym before and living a completely sedentary lifestyle. I absolutely love the supportive, encouraging, nonjudgmental atmosphere here as well as the small group sizes. Steve and Tre have both been wonderful about explaining (and often reexplaining) exercises to me, including the “why” behind them. The facility is top notch and centrally located. Highly recommend!

Steve Berning, the owner, has been my personal trainer for some time. He truly cares about all of his clients; achieving our fitness goals are as important to him as they are to us. And, I’ve seen some fantastic results under his guidance and coaching. 💪
The space at 500 Seneca St. is 🔥too. It has an urban look and feel, has all the equipment I need, and provides for enough space to do the work with a healthy distance from other members. It’s also immaculately clean with a spa-like locker room. Check it out!
