I had a complete knee replacement in January of this year. After months of physical therapy for my leg, I “achieved the measurable goals” of PT. I continued the exercises at home, 2 to 3 sets a day, without much improvement.
I have practiced yoga for decades, but had been unable to do so, because of my knee issues. In June, I met Cassie, and began taking a “chair yoga” class, one designed for people with limited mobility. It was the answer to a prayer! Cassie has unique and holistic understanding of the way a human body functions, especially an aging or recovering body. Her classes are not solely about achieving a pose, but rather getting in harmony with your entire body, listening to it, pushing it, but being gentle with yourself.
I love her classes, and will also be scheduling private sessions for a program specific to me.
I am so thrilled to have found her! She will be my teacher for life!

Cassie 's classes are amazing! She explains the movement and their purpose and ensures that you're doing them right. Cassie possesses superior technical skills and knowledge yet she approaches each class with humility and wonder. She always asks participants about their energy level and focus and then develops a class to meet everyone's needs, every time. Cassie meets you where you are in your practice. I found the class for pain management and have grown to appreciate the kind and caring environment Cassie creates. There are always options for poses. Cassie listens and opens and closes sessions with mindful breath work!

Cassie is a very thoughtful and caring yoga instructor. She is knowledgeable, thorough and open to those in her class naming what they would like to work on and address during each class. I’m a new student of Cassie and she is amazing. Seriously she is! I’ve been living with Fibromyalgia for the past 5 years and I’ve been experiencing more pain and reduced mobility. Each class she comes prepared with a detailed plan to accomplish. Just completed my first class. She listened and comprehended my current physical state, my goal state, and tailored our session to my needs. Class went by fast and we did some amazing movements and worked up a sweat. I highly recommend Cassie, she makes you feel at ease if you are new and learning. Just an all around awesome experience. It’s a treat to work with Cassie. Her knowledge, attentiveness and flexibility help me feel cared for in a way I’ve never experienced with a teacher. She’s at once grounded and sacred, but also irreverent and humorous - which is honestly a perfect blend for me. Cassie’s classes are deeply nourishing, helping me move more easily in ways my body was designed to move.
