This place changed my life forever!!! I, Michail Vassilyev, would like to express my gratitude towards this amazing dojo. I’ve been going since I was 7 years old, and I remember every single best memory I had in this dojo. Sensei Meral Olmez gave me so many great opportunities that helped me develop leadership, confidence, and responsibility. Everyday I come with a smile excited to teach the kids and for 2 years, Sensei has only praised me to become really good in teaching. Champions Sports Center is not just a karate club. It is so much more than just that and is truly a special club. There is no other karate school like this because of the values that are emphasized and instilled every day in this dojo. Honesty, discipline, and respect are just some of the values that Sensei carries out with every action and instills into students. I have had the wonderful experience of being in this club for 7+ years and I can confidently say that this place is a second home, a second family for many others, myself included. The community is great and welcoming and the environment is very well managed. The effort and detail put into the dojo is something that I can't describe with words, but rather something you should see for yourself. The welcoming environment ensures that all the students have a good time within the dojo. The opportunities that Sensei presents to the students is astounding - from experiencing the Dodgeball World Cup to competing in the USA Nationals for karate, I would've never experienced this had it not been for Sensei. Not only did I have the honor of achieving 🥇 place Kumite and 3rd 🥉 place in Kata at the USA Nationals in Chicago, but I also had the privilege to help Senpai fellow students passing on the knowledge and discipline that past Senpais and Sensi Olmez have thought me over the years. I believe all kids must go to this place! Not only to learn karate techniques but also to learn there the most important things in life like discipline, respect, focus, motivation, accepting adequately to lose with competitors not always to win. I’m impressed how many kids of different age (starting as little as 3 y.o.) are keen to come there. They have fun and they grow in all areas of life, their behavior improves. The Best sport activities for my son!! My son has been attending karate classes here, and it’s been an incredible experience! This place is truly amazing! For the past 6/7 years I’ve been here, I learned so many things including discipline, determination, and of course, to respect others. I enrolled my child in this karate place expecting a positive and enriching experience, but unfortunately, that has not been the case. This establishment is run by a single woman who seems unable to handle the demands of managing it effectively. She often boasts about her book on psychology, yet my child left the last session in tears, feeling discouraged rather than motivated. Her primary focus appears to be on making money; once you join, the treatment becomes miserable. At first, she was very persuasive, assuring us that we should just bring the kid in and that they would handle everything—that it was their job. But then the miserable treatment started, and it became clear that she is a miserable person herself. At the first class, she emerged holding her head, complaining of a headache caused by our child, which was quite unprofessional. She also complained about something in every class, making the experience even more negative. We eventually stopped attending altogether, leaving a whole month's worth of paid classes unused.
Additionally, she seems to think she is above everyone, and all the parents look scared of her. The place is congested, and they don't allow you to wait inside for your child, even in winter. She only wants you to hear her, but not voice your concerns. Overall, I cannot recommend this place for children's karate classes.

Sensei M.Olmez is amazing teacher ! She has a great background in Karete ( 2 Times world karete champion- 4 times European karete champion).
She is dedicated to her students and encourages them to be the best they can be. Her training teaches them the physical aspects of the sport , great techniques, as well as how to master their mind and emotions. Also, discipline!...
The school staff also amazing about completing her mission. They work together in great integrity.

My son attends this dojo for about 2 years and we love it. Sensei and her team of senpais are amazing and inspirational instructors who are great with kids of any age. We have been to other dojos before, and unlike other instructors who teach by instilling fear and punishment into their teaching, Sensei Olmez leads by kindness. She teaches respect towards each other as well as towards opponents. She teaches the true nature of karate - an art in its form - that goes way beyond fighting, belts and winning. All of that on top of rigorous daily training balanced with games, board breaking events, award ceremonies, movie nights, parties, etc, etc, etc, etc. It is the dojo that also became our home.

The Best Karate School ever. We have been with her dojo over 10 years, my two daughter have achieved so much, older daughter is Brown belt 3 rd degree ( Soon Black Belt) and my younger daughter is Blue Belt. Both of the girls become first place and second places for some many times in the prestigious competition in NY state. Soon they will go to the Nationals! That would not be possible without our Sensei. Sensei Meral Olmez is 2 times World Champion and 4 times European Champion. Sensei is one of the most talented and hard working instructor. Kids not only learning Karate , they are learning respect, dicipline, and also how to protect themselves. The most important thing is she teaches our kids life lesson skills. She could have taught some karate movements only and let the kids go home. However, she goes beyond. She wants her students to be mentally and physcially very healthy. The best thing that happened in my life is registering my daughters to the Champions Sports Center. Nowadays it is really hard to raise a children, I am so happy she touched in our lives. The dojo is very clean. I love this place. I am coming from all the way from Staten Island. Comparing the other schools the price is very cheap. You cant find this price a dojo in Brooklyn even in NY state. I leave my kids to the class without any doubt. I highly recommend every one to join this Family. in this club, only money and fundraisers matter. son son departed a year for these classes. didn't get any knowledge. I did martial arts myself. and I know what I'm talking about. when my son got sick and missed classes due to illness, the club refused to refund the money for the missed month. disgusting approach to students, everything is built on commerce. my son was sick for a month and did not attend classes, about which I warned the administration. $180 was deducted from the card. to the question why? and is it possible to leave the classes that I paid for, they answered no. they constantly collect money for all sorts of unnecessary things, they give the printed sheets of paper to the children home for their parents to sign, and if the child has lost this sheet, then in order to make a duplicate of it, you need to pay again. dollar step. my son went to this school for a year and didn't learn anything, only gained weight. My family and I have no words to express how we feel about Sensei Olmez, Senpais, and Ms. Nese. Although my son goes to a numerous amount of activities throughout the week, I can confidently say that karate and dodgeball are his all time favorite. As soon as you walk through the door, you automatically feel welcomed. This club is very special, and isn’t just an average karate club. It’s a second family to all people both parents and children. I have been with Sensei Olmez for 13+ years and I can guarantee that she takes care of every single student like her own. The care, effort, and detail put into the club amazes me every time I come in. The environment that the club has uplifts all the people who enter, and they never want to leave. Everyone is caring, generous, kindhearted, intelligent, and possesses a great character. I can whole heartily say that everyone loves to come here and they never wants to leave!

Sensei Olmez is making a huge and long lasting impact on her students. She teaches the children the art of Karate as well as discipline, respect, and responsibility. My children will take the skills she is teaching well into adulthood. I absolutely recommend Champion Sports Center for every child.

My daughter begun her journey to the black belt with Sensei Olmez when she was six. Now she is a blue belt and 10 years old. Because of karate and old school tough love from Sensei, my daughter is physically very fit and more balanced mantally than her peers especialy after a long lockdown due to Covid. My second daughter will join as soon as she turns 6, can't wait!!!

Sensei Meral Olmez is one of the most talented, hard working instructor. We have been with her dojo over three years, and my daughter has achieved so much, including participating in the 2019 Karate Nationals! (Silver medalist) That would not be possible with out our wonderful dojo or our Sensei. Kids get to learn REAL Shotokan karate, respect, self-esteem, and the skills to respect fellow adults in their lives, not just the Sensei in the dojo. She teaches our kids valuable life lessons, and is always there for us. She’s even there for us, the parents. I never thought that signing my daughter up to this karate school, we would make life long friends, and grows so close with our Karate family. This is an amazing place to sign your kids up at. Currently there are virtual classes!! Amazing! Definitely 10 stars from me!! Sensei knows how much I love this place and her! There are no words to express how well this place treats our kids, or how nice it is to truly believe in an establishment for what they stand for. My expectations have been exceeded by far greater than I ever thought. We only look forward to more time, and years in our amazing dojo with our Karate family.

Many thanks to Mrs. Sensei Olmez who is 2 times World Karate Champion. I am so happy to sent my kids to Champions Karate Sport Center and I know my kids in a good hands.My two kids cant wait to go to the lesson each time. Mrs.Sensei built my kids mentaly and physically. Now they are more stronger than ever. Now they know how to Self Defence, Fitness, Confidence, Coordination, Focus and discipline. They are enjoying Social Activities too. ( movies, picnic, parties and etc ). I highly recommend every one to join the Karate Classes. You will feel the differences right away.
