This was a really good outlet for my kids, but it does not open until after 12pm despite what google claims. Some staff were amazingly kind, others were less than courteous.

Pier 57, down the block, was amazing. It’s essentially a food hall that had vendors who could feed the kids all different meals that they wanted at the same time. Quality hot dogs, gourmet grilled cheese, shoestring fries and delicious tacos.

I signed my daughter up for 5 weeks of camp and was disappointed with the experience. On the very first day, she got hurt and no one notified me—not even the nurse. She was scared to go back after that. I told her to let someone know next time so I could pick her up, but communication was lacking.

There’s also no makeup policy, which is frustrating—especially since both of my daughters got sick from attending camp and missed a week. Sick kids were still being brought in, which likely contributed to that. Her experience was OKEY, but she was never excited to go to camp in the morning.

Overall, the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed and at times came off as rude—possibly because many of them were younger coaches. I’d recommend waiting to register until right before camp or even a week before start to get a better sense of how things are being run. Overall a bit disappointing experience for the price they charge.

I hate to do this, I come here all the time. But closing an hour early because you’re not busy is just unprofessional. I get people call out, but that’s what managers are for. You fill the holes. Trust me, I know this because I too am in hospitality. Why have hours if you’re just going to do whatever you feel like on that day. It’s like summer camp for adults.

I’ve been on the Chelsea Piers Gymnastics team for a few years and learned so many new skills. I have great coaches such as Hector and Tyler who teach me so much about the sport and how to be a great gymnast. The facility is very nice and well kept. The coaches are very supportive and encouraging.

My daughter has been going for 2.5 years to the recreational gymnastics program and this season standards have fallen. Too many kids in the gym at once. Routinely starting late. Inconsistency with coaches. Management refuse to engage in any dialogue about making things better. Parents pay a lot of money for the logistics to be this wrong and several kids in our class are close to dropping out as the experience has been very poor. Coach Ty (who is great) did his best today but he ended up with 2 classes combined for some of the class.

Important - call the main number, then "0" for the front desk, to inquire if they close early on a weekend day. Call ahead before showing up, so you don't stand before closed doors like I did on my second time coming here.

Otherelwise: Great spot for Baseball and Softball batting cages and gymnastics. Entrance is on the waterfront, and you can either make appointments for the batting cage or walk in and buy credits.

A huge range of sports and friendly and helpful staff. Jeremy the baseball coach was particularly helpful and deserves a shout out!
A really nice place, cheapest activities you can do with kids in NYC.
Try out the baseball nets before heading uptown to see the Yankees in the Bronx or the Mets in Queens

Great facilities with a mediocre gymnastics program. Best gymnastics facilities in the city, but the management is OK, at best. Ended up moving to Elite on the UWS and much more organized with a solid program. If you’re serious about gymnastics then 8 would not recommend Chelsea piers. If you just want to use the facilities then sure it’s fine.

I am owed a refund for batting cage rentals and now Erika and people at the Fieldhouse will not return any emails. They are taking advantage of COVID situation to keep people's money. Shame on them.

I wanted to go for the acrobatics lessons. Claims to first open up the 8th of June, then claims to open up the 13th. I've checked the schedule on their website and acording to their voicemails, they should be open. Both today, the 14th and the 13th, it still says temporarily closed on Google. Very unhelpful and unreliable!! Don't go there.

I had the chance to enroll my daughter in the summer camp gymnastic. I love it! The staff is awesome. My daughter is happy with the camp because she says that there are a lot of activities that she is able to do such as bowling, sports, rock climbing, waterslide.

For Open Play Basketball DO NOT go to the “Feildhouse”. I called a day ahead and was told hours were 4-6pm, called the day of and was told hours were 6pm (given no other details), showed up @ 6pm and was spoken to by a rude and repetitive staff member who told me hours were 5-6pm. Completely and utterly unprofessional and unreliable! If you’re just looking to play and don’t do leagues stay away from this place!

My sanctuary! Grew up doing gymnastics, and a while back and old teammate got together for a little trip down memory lane. That was two years ago, we've been there every Wednesday night since. We figured, "Why give up something you love?" and couldn't come up with a good answer... Welcome to gymnastics... enjoy the process.

Great competition in the indoor soccer and basketball leagues. The soccer area does smell like stale sweat when you walk in but you get used to it. The basketball courts could use more sweeping. My company's teams have been playing here for years and it will continue like that for many more.

Batting cages, indoor basketball, indoor beach volleyball, they have it all. More on the pricey side for just a gym, but this isn't just a gym. Oh and they have an indoor swimming pool.
