The management and the front desk are horrendously rude unprofessional and inconsiderate. All the negative reviews on Google are correct, they will scam you out of credits and then pretend there's zero flexibility when i know for a fact other Club Pilates locations will work with members to make schedules work. Stay far away there are so many better options in forest hills.

I love coming here for classes. They have great instructors. I regularly take classes of Maureen, Yaasmin, Annette, Michelle and Frida. I am sure other instructors are wonderful too! I also loved Paige when she taught classes here. I recommend this studio.

This was my first Pilates studio and I left before the 3 month commitment due to the fact that I didn’t feel workout after the classes. I didn’t want to continue to pay close to 300 because it wasn’t worth it. I personally feel like the instructors were skimming around the room to decide how intense they would make the workouts, because the majority of the time the people who were there were older and obviously the instructor didn’t want to make it hard for them. When I mentioned I didn't feel worked out afterwards, the front desk told me to try 1.5 classes and I told them I was taking 1.5 and how I wasn’t satisfied.

No changing room, just a bathroom and no water station.

The other comments are a bit dramatic. It’s normal to have to book 2-3 weeks in advance in any studio. I’m a new member (but I’ve been doing pilates for a year elsewhere) and club pilates definitely has great classes and packages. The instructors are great (especially Maureen) and it’s fun. They offer other things besides reformer. Also a lot of people commenting on the cancelation fees or late fees, this is literally normal at every other studio I go to. And you have to cancel 12 hours in advanced which is grace because the ones I go to prior is 24 hours in advance..also. $375 for unlimited (capped at 15 classes a month) is a steal because that’s $25 a class. My other studio is $45 a class. Pilates is not a cheap hobby, but club pilates sure does make it cheap and accessible so that’s why classes book up quickly. Just be a responsible adult and plan according 2-3 weeks ahead and call it a day.

THEY ARE OVERSOLD. VERY DIFFICULT TO GET INTO ANY CLASSES.

How to Cancel Membership without fees

1. Gym Breach of Contract (Failure to Provide Services)

Legal Basis: If the gym has changed class schedules, closed locations, removed equipment, or reduced services that were part of your original agreement, they may have violated the contract.
✅ What to Say: “The gym has made significant changes that impact my ability to use the membership as agreed, so I am canceling effective immediately.”
🚫 They Can’t Ask for Proof: If their services have changed, they must honor cancellation without delay.

2. Unfair Contract Terms (Deceptive or Unclear Policies)

Legal Basis: NYC consumer protection laws prohibit “unfair and deceptive business practices.” If your contract was unclear about the one-month notice rule, or if they never explicitly explained it, you can argue the policy is unfair.
✅ What to Say: “I was not properly informed of the one-month cancellation policy, and under NYC consumer protection laws, I am canceling immediately.”
🚫 They Can’t Ask for Proof: Consumer protection laws don’t require you to provide documentation to cancel due to unfair terms.

3. Medical or Disability Exemption (No Proof Required for Privacy)

Legal Basis: Under HIPAA and ADA privacy laws, gyms cannot demand medical records to justify cancellation. If you cite an undisclosed health issue, they must accept your cancellation without requiring proof.
✅ What to Say: “Due to a private medical condition, I am unable to continue my membership and must cancel immediately. Under privacy laws, I am not required to provide documentation.”
🚫 They Can’t Ask for Proof: Legally, they cannot require you to disclose medical conditions for cancellation.

I liked it at first, but they care more about the bills than anything. I had purchased a monthly unlimited membership which is already around $400 per month. On top of that, I had to pay an initiation fee when I first joined which they bought down to I believe $60. I would only recommend a monthly membership for people who have a very empty schedule otherwise you’re just wasting your money. Their app is pretty easy to use, you just have to get the classes super early on or else they get booked. You also only have a day to cancel the class or else you get charged $15 every time you miss a class or if you don’t cancel early on enough. I had been asking to cancel my membership for almost 4 months. It’s so difficult and they’re still bothering me to pay for two months that I haven’t even had a class. My understanding was I have to fill out a form and I can just cancel my membership since it’s a monthly unlimited membership so you would think that I can just cancel and stop going, but they still wanna charge me for the months that I haven’t even gone and they keep calling and bothering me. Is it that hard to cancel a membership that you see a person isn’t even showing up to? All they care about is getting your money. The instructors are pretty nice, but I would recommend going to a different club altogether.

3 months consistent 4-5 classes a WEEK. Not worth the results you get spending $375 A MONTH !!!!! committed for 3 month since its close to home & it was a good routine. Trying other classes in the City saw what better results i can get... once i nicely asked to discontinue 1-2 weeks prior having to commit TO SOMETHING I DO NOT WANT TO DO. They throw the " cancelling 1 month prior " with absolutely no alternatives to a customer that has paid for unlimited classes $1,125.... in 3 mnths. Anyway, being a district manager I understand the management style on how the "manager" texted with repeated information so didnt even waste my time to get on the phone for anyone to get aggressive per all of these negative reviews this studio has..

They ended up charging my card now for classes in SEPT THAT I WONT ATTEND TO .. like what isnt clear when someone doesnt want to return to your facility??? You cant just charge people and what force them to take classes... Jokes.

Most positive experiences were with Yaasmin + Annette they are wonderful instructors.

I learned the hard way that ignoring reviews was a big mistake. My experience with this club was the worst ever. Although the instructors were great, the booking process was a hassle; there were no changing rooms, just a restroom. To top it off, even though I followed their 30-day notice policy, they still managed to steal $150 from me when I canceled my subscription. The management at this place is terrible. I rate it 0 out of 5.

Hello,
Please be careful to signed up for this palates club. Make sure you understand about all the charges including if you want to cancel, print copy for yourself! I am not saying classes are bad , I don’t know because I attended 1 1/2. In my experience, I feel like they lie and trick customers and then charge insane prices. I could not get classes that I need it because everything was booked, it was a challenge just to attend classes! Then I could not deal with this anymore and cancelled like second week and they charged crazy money for cancellation. I took 1 class and it cause me a lot of money! Now after 2 month I cancelled it, I started seeing new charges on my credit card . So far I payed 405.47, 302.01, 100. It’s a scam. Very disappointed !

Almost a year with this studio and you would think they would be gracious enough to help accommodate the credits I have since I’m waitlisted for almost every class. I request a call from the manager she leaves a VM that there is nothing to do and blames it on her system. I call back and speak to the assistant manager EXTREMELY passive aggressive. I can’t speak she interrupts me and tells me she doesn’t have to do anything but will go out of her way to help. You would think after they charge you $320 they would do the most to help you. So happy I cancelled my membership with a company who has such poor customer service.

Disappointing experience with Club Pilates! They reinstated my credit without clearly communicating the new expiration date, resulting in its loss. When I reached out, the manager's response was unhelpful and dismissive. “This is a business ” she said. Guess they have too much to care. The lack of transparency and poor customer service has left a bad taste in my mouth. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

The classes are overbooked not to mention it’s not cheap. All the basic classes are not available often which as a beginner its only what you’re allowed to take. The schedule is booked up, the waiting lists don’t work and the cancellation policy is a scam, they charge you for another month of classes plus a $100.00 cancellation fee on top of it. So you are sol if you don’t use the 8 classes in the month it’s not carried over to the next month and no you can’t just go to another club Pilates location without having to pay additional membership fees. What a waste of time and unethical policies. The classes themselves are ok and the instructors are nice but the schedule is the problem, it’s like a whole job description to scramble to find availability.

I LOVE IT HERE! 💗 I’ve been a member since 2022 and ever since I signed up, no regrets! The studio is truly a community and a safe space to become a better version of yourself. It’s my favorite way to work out because it humbles me and makes me feel strong. The women at the front desk are so welcoming and take the time to get to know your name and welcome you in every time they see you. The instructors take the guessing out of working out because they are there to guide you and remind you on posture, form and how strong you are. Thank you Alexa, Sarah, Paige, yaasmin, Frida, and Asha you guys are amazing!! My body is looking the best it ever has and I genuinely LOVE coming to work out because Pilates always keeps me guessing and the stretching feels so healing for my body (before and after every workout) Pilates girlie for life! 10/10 trying out the free class and joining the vibe created here ✨

For a flexibility place the Manager Alexa was very non flexible and rigid in her approach. At the front the girl told me they are very forgiving w membership etc However when I complained that the class is totally not as the described in the blurb she did not budge or give in for a minute. It is overcrowded. There is water but no cups at all only a water machine so …deliberate the front desk said. Unlike other club Pilates studio. It is unfortunate because I liked the teachers but not the rest of it.

Please be mindful when signing up for their membership, there is pretty much no way to get out of it once you sign. Also the manager is extremely condescending and unaccommodating. If you can , please avoid this location.

I could put more energy into this but I’ll take this as a lesson learned.

Big scammer !
They did not let me cancel my membership after one year. I paid a couple thousands of dollars to them. At the end after multiple attempts to cancel my membership they took my money , nevertheless removed me from the last booked and confirmed class without notifying me. No credit, no refund, poor management , disrespectful, scammers and terrible communicators.Do Not recommend it.

I have the pleasure of experiencing Club Pilates in Bayside, and it's nothing short of amazing. From the moment you walk in, the front staff greets you by name with warm smiles and kind words, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The trainers are exceptional, dedicated to helping you improve and ensuring proper Pilates form. My personal goal was to attend five classes a week, and the results in my posture and energy levels have been remarkable. The club maintains a clean environment, and the members have formed a supportive community that's truly inspiring. I absolutely love this place and the sense of belonging it offers.

A friend introduced me to this location 15 months ago and I’m hooked. $40 per class is the least I could pay to be trained by Frieda, Yasmine, Lillianne, Asha, and Paige. Yes, classes fill up pretty quickly but you make adjustments for what’s important. If you can’t get in Asha’s 10 am session on Tuesdays, you can get in Annette’s 8pm session on Friday or Frida’s 7am session on Sunday. They give you a chance to cancel 12 hours in advance. They send you a reminder 1 day and an hour before your session. There’s always a waitlist for a spot so this is understandable. That said, the front desk staff can be very accommodating. I would recommend this club to friends and family.

Do not come here!!! They over charge and never have classes available. There’s literally a Pilates studio around the corner for half the price and with way more diverse group classes and private lessons. I canceled my 3 month membership and tried to book my final month classes and literally was only able to book half my classes because there’s no availability for my schedule. I called to complain and they basically gave me no solution so I lost money! Frida, Lillianne , Asha, and Paige are great instructors so they’re the only reason I gave my 2 star rating

Club Pilates offers a variety of classes & difficulty levels. The instructors are clear in their directives, cueing, and modifying exercises if you wish to increase/ decrease the challenge or if you have limitations. I advise (especially) new members or those considering joining to trust the studio's policies & waitlist system. My advice is to book your classes at least a week in advance; however, don't let the waitlist # intimidate you from enrolling if you are booking closer to the date of the class. More often than not, you see empty reformers in classes as a result of cancellations. The waitlist works-take it from a member that has been with the studio since they opened in October of 2020.

In sum, I highly recommend this studio for starting and/or continuing your fitness and wellness journey.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! This place is a complete scam. You sign up and pay for the month and good luck getting into a class. I paid 300 for the month and no classes available until the end of the month. When signing up i specifically asked if it’s easy to get into classes they told me yes we have an app. After calling and explaining that there is nothing available for the next 3 weeks they did absolutely nothing to accommodate. What did I pay for 1 week? I asked to cancel my member ship since I can’t get into any classes they want to charge me for the next month as well. This place is completely unprofessional and are money hungry with the worst customer service. Save yourself the headache and find somewhere else to go.

I'm honestly obsesed. Never did I ever think I'd be "into" fitness, but here we are! There's a good range of options to choose from. Beyond upset with this place! I signed up right after trying a trial session for the three month. On one occasion I had to cancel a class because something important came up, but I couldn’t use my class credit because apparently it expires at the end of the month and doesn’t roll over (and this is considering that I wait listed for two classes that I couldn’t get into) so it wasn’t even my fault that I couldn’t use the class. Called to express my disappointment and was basically told me “yep, nothing we can do”. Unless you sign up for the class a month before or at least two weeks forget about getting in. I called to end my membership but for some reason they cancelled it 4 days before the end of the month! I paid for three months and they ended up cancelling me before I was able to use up my last class credit! Which by the way I waitlisted and also didn’t get in!!! Complete rip off and waste of money. Definitely won’t be coming back or recommending for any of my friends.
