I have been there before and the front desk staff had a cold face. The equipment at this place is older comparing with other Pilate places. The class is not the best tbh. They charge $50/class on their website, but sometimes you can get great deal from Classpass for 9 credits (equivalent to $18-$27/ class). I booked with them again on classpass because it fits my schedule. It took me almost one hour to get there by train and due to the train delay, I arrived at 6 or 7 minutes late. The front desk Emma stopped me at the front door and claimed that I can’t join the class because I am more than 5 minutes late and they listed the policy on the website. I logged to classpass and showed to her that their policy is not on classpass. And they she changed her phrase to be:”oh, it is on our own website and it’s the teacher’s policy”. If you want to do business on classpass, wouldn’t that be your responsibility to list your policy on classpass besides the description of your business to attract customers. Anyway, I checked their website and the policy was also not there neither. I asked her there is another class after this, but it is too late to book from my end because the time window has closed for next class, could she move me to next class. She still insisted that she can’t do anything about it. I have been using class passes for many months for ballet classes, Pilate classes, strength classes, and all the participated vendors will put their policy on the website, such as wearing grip socks in Pilate classes; door code to get in etc. if there is a misalignment between business/class description, they will even refund me for the credit or put me on a different class. Will never come back to this Pilate place. Horrible service and hard to locate. Mediocre classes…

Core Burn has become my new favourite Pilates studio in the city. Aubrey is a fantastic instructor who has the perfect balance of fun, flexibility and challenge. Her classes have become one of the highlights of my week!

I’ve been doing Pilates for years and have tried over 20 studios across NYC, and unfortunately, this is by far the worst experience I’ve had. Here’s why:
1. Crowded Reformers: The reformers are crammed way too close together. Every time a move required extending my arms or legs, I found myself unintentionally bumping into my neighbors—it was incredibly uncomfortable and distracting.
2. Dingy Studio: The studio itself felt neglected. There were holes in the walls, beat-up floors, and even a random metal construction pole next to my reformer. The single speaker in the front of the room meant I couldn’t hear any music unless I was right by the windows. Even the bathroom was disappointing—lime scale on the shower glass and an overall lack of cleanliness.
3. No Corrections or Modifications: The class was slow-moving, with no corrections or modifications offered. If you’re expecting an attentive instructor, you’ll be disappointed.
4. Chaotic Transitions: The buzzer for the next class was constantly going off, which ruined the focus and flow of the session. To make it worse, there’s no proper turnaround time between classes. As I was trying to get my things out of the cubby, the next class was already squeezing in, making the whole process rushed and uncomfortable.
Overall, the lack of space, cleanliness, and attention to detail made this a really disappointing experience. With so many amazing Pilates studios in NYC, I wouldn’t recommend this one.

I recently took a class with Omil and it was really great! She has a natural ability to guide and motivate, making each exercise both challenging and enjoyable. Her attention to form and technique helped me feel safe and confident throughout the session. I've never felt this strong and centered, and I can't wait to return for more classes. Highly recommend Omil to anyone looking to improve their fitness and well-being!

Classes are well structured and the instructors are welcoming. The overall atmosphere is encouraging and I definitely enjoy coming here for my pilates workouts. Highly recommend all classes (but make sure to select an appropriate level for yourself). Definitely more personalized than many other studios in Manhattan.

I’ve been attending Pilates classes at Core Burn in Greenwich Village for the past couple of months, and it’s been nothing short of amazing. The space is beautifully minimal and calming, which creates the perfect environment to focus and really connect with the workout. Aubrey, my instructor, has been incredible!! She’s not only super knowledgeable and skilled but also has a welcoming and friendly vibe that makes every class enjoyable. She’s attentive to everyone’s needs and ensures we’re always pushing ourselves while maintaining proper form. If you’re looking for a studio that combines a great atmosphere with expert instruction, I highly recommend Core Burn especially at this location with Aubrey!

I started going to Core Burn Sutton Place almost 2 years ago and once I took Jilliene’s class, I could never go to any other studio until she opened CoreBurn 8th St! She is super kind and an amazing instructor especially by fixing my posture to ensure I am doing the exercise correctly to get the most from it aka super sore abs. I also started taking privates from her, where we really focus on key areas such as core or stretching, which has really helped improved my form especially when taking other classes or running. What I really love that every time I go to her class or have a private session, she always switches it up with new exercises, more exciting/ torture session for the best of course where I used to go to SLT and it would always be the same exercises every week in the same order which got quite boring. Needless to say, if you are into Pilates I would highly recommend taking a Coreburn class!!

I’m typically a solidcore loyalist, but core burn has reformed my perspective. The studio is clean, spacious, and is in a great location - I do visit their uptown sutton place local but I prefer the set up of w8. w8 also has a nice little touch of lux with their mocha leather reformers, and massive windows for natural light.
Jillien, my primary instructor and co owner, is incredibly inventive with her sequences, helping me break through plateaus and enhance my form. It's been really great combining group classes with duet sessions as she becomes more familiar with my "problem" areas, she really can support form for my goals. Further she provides me with outside recommendations for my overall wellness interests, ie. meditations and lymphatic massages. The more I go, the more I see the community she's been able to build.

I’ve been taking Pilates classes with Jessica and Jilliene since the studio opened. Jessica is knowledgeable and attentive. Jilliene has a high level of expertise and makes every class both challenging and enjoyable. Both are upbeat and nice.
I have taken other instructors as well and I like the fact they offer different “levels” and seem to always offer modifications so I can get a variety or keep consistent with a schedule. I highly recommend their classes to anyone looking to get into pilates - studio is also so cute!! Grip socks are required but they sell actually really cute ones there if you forget yours.
