The workout is great I burnt lots of calories. The bathroom on the other hand, specifically the shower has a very strange smell. Wondering if core power is just a gym or if they do other things too…

Highly recommend sculpt with Connor or Amanda L - their classes fly by and dare I say “fun” ;) You can tell both care about their craft and students.
I’m giving the facility a 4 because I wish the bathrooms and common areas were kept a bit cleaner but all and all a great studio for tons of classes.

First time trying corepower and I loved it! The west village location is perfect and was so well kept. I felt so welcomed the second I stepped in. Morgan who was the instructor, AMAZING! Such an inspiration and really pushed everyone in the room! I can’t wait to go back!

This studio is not big enough for the amount of people they book. It’s so crowded you can barely do your workout and it’s beyond hot. I am a williamsburg studio groupie

I just had an instructor tell me I should practice “in the back of the class” if I can’t do all the recommended moves because it’s distracting for others. I’ve went to Core Power for 7 years, taken over 600 classes, and never once been made to feel like I don’t belong or I’m less valid until today. I have 4 herniated cervical discs and a torn shoulder labrum, apologies I can’t do all the moves a fully healthy person can.

Rather than leave a review from one person I'll go ahead and copy and paste responses I agree from their other location which has the same culture.
Whether it is the 8th street location or the Broadway location I agree with these quotes from other users.
The issue is the corporate culture. I am spreading the word online and redoubling efforts to encourage others to avoid this company. They need to fix their customer service.
--
Quotes from other Yelp users which I agree with:
(1) There is no front desk and you are left locked out or waiting for service:
"...this morning I got to class too early and there is no front desk despite this place being more expensive than full service gyms who offer better Yoga and mixed classes... I tried getting a refund but am hearing no response from the studio."
(2) They aren't trained with how to do check-ins so you are often met with skeptical eyes while trying to show them you've paid and are there daily; they simply don't know their own systems.
"I also was not fond of the the receptionist/ front desk (not sure if she was an instructor) woman that assisted me. She was extremely rude and gave me an attitude. She couldn't locate my account to check me in and in turn tried to accuse me of using various accounts to secure the "free week" trials."
(3) The management or staff gossip to one another and are so rude, it's shocking.
when I got there the employee checking me in told me it had ended. I was like okay that's fine and kindly left and then I heard the employees laughing at me, mocking me. (They had no idea I was listening lol). How elitist, and rude. They have no idea who I am. I hope this company learns how to hire more empathetic and kinder people. Considering how rude they are they are not at all qualified to be instructing yoga which is a practice focusing on positivity and patience. I don't know exactly what the employees names were but I want to assume one of them was Erik B. because she was going to teach the class I was signed up for.
--
I would add that the employees are overall disgruntled and their are a ton of them rotating in and out so there is no perceived need to fix their toxic culture because they keep firing and firing staff along with letting customers be harassed rather than adopting a "the customer is right" mindset.
This place is also nothing special and overpriced when you look elsewhere. People need to read the neutral to bad reviews in favor of the paid for placements. Over time the rating has adjusted. Please do not support this business. When you try competitors you will realize this company simply has a toxic culture.

I love Phillip's energy and style of teaching. I normally don't sweat so much and I was pouring down sweat in the first ten minutes! The check-in process was easy and everyone was very welcoming at the front desk.

I went to my first post-pandemic class today at CorePower and it was great! There was plenty of space in the studio, the class could be adapted for all levels, and the 3 free classes for first timers deal is hard to turn down. Mackenzie was the instructor and she was wonderful, couldn't recommend more!

I’ve been doing Yoga Sculpt for the past year and a half now. I’ve been to every location here in the city. When I heard that they were opening a location in the village I was so excited! Less than a 10 minute walk away from my apartment. I went to a class at 1pm today at the village location and let’s just say I was not a fan. The class was way over filled. I signed up hours before but people in front of me were not signed up and they just let them in the class. I could not fully do my work out because I was forced to be right on top of the wall. I had no space what so ever. I love this company and all they stand for but the Village has to understand they can only have a certain number of people in the class and not go over that number.
