I needed more from my workouts at the gym and was thrilled to find CHCF. They have fostered an incredible culture of encouragement and support and I was welcomed with open arms. The staff and the members here are top notch! Coaches work with both the entire class and individuals who need modifications to ensure that they’re hitting an appropriate stimulus for the workouts.

I have been consistently attending for the last two years and have seen so much improvement in my overall fitness. I would recommend this gym for anyone who’s looking to level up their fitness or anyone feeling like they’re new to working out and need help just getting started.

I was visiting the area this weekend and I hoped I’d find a spot to drop in if my work commitment allowed. When space opened up in my schedule I emailed Cow Harbor CrossFit. Coach Allison responded very quickly despite the late hour and I was in class the next morning. Coach Garrett greeted me, and made sure I was all set. Garrett ran a great class, great whiteboard explanation, great demonstration, and great scaling options. The class was organized and the group was very welcoming.

I have dropped into several boxes and CrossFit Cow Harbor might be the best option if you’re on Long Island. There are plenty of other choices, but I doubt many are as responsive, organized and welcoming as this box.

CowHarbor CrossFit offers great coaching which provide individual feedback when needed, challenging workouts with accommodations if needed in a fun, like minded, friendly and supportive environment! I live far away and come to this gym because there isn’t any other gym I’d rather be. I just finished the 28 day nutrition challenge and have learned that healthy eating is sustainable and so worth it. I’ve got so much more energy now and love that I’m achieving my personal goals!

Thank God for this place - the perfect combination of inspiration, motivation, and perspiration. I feel strong again, balanced and I’ve gotten my wind back. I can’t go it alone and neither can you; the camoradory and coaching is just what I need and so do you.

Found Cow Harbor Crossfit 2 months ago after trying out a couple of other CrossFit gyms. The vibe is chill and the members are inviting!!! This is a very special place for sure. The team invests in their members, shows appreciation and respect all who walk in the door regardless of athletic abilities. A feeling I’ve never experienced. 10/10 experience from start to finish. Coach Kallie is a pro. The WOD brief/stimulus was clear and included scaling options. When I think about my two months at Cow Harbor CrossFit three words come to mind: scalability, accountability, and community.

As a newbie, I knew that I had my work cutout for me. A lot of new exercises and terminology I wasn't very familiar with. However, even in the 5 AM classes (which are bigger than what I've been used to) the coaches still are able to give individual attention and instruction on form.

When it comes to scalability, it's amazing to see what the coaches and community at CHCF can do. I was in a class this morning where I watched a couple members climb a robe with no feet, amazing stuff! But the truly awesome thing about the scalability options was that I, a novice / average shape guy, am able to do the same workout with scaling options even though I can't climb a rope.

The coaches and CHCF community also provide accountability and motivation. On day one, conversing with another member I was told me that if you stay consistent you'll see results, and I have over the last two months. The owner and coaches reach out and provide insight and nutritional services. Members will cheer you on during a workout, fist bump you on a run, tell you good job post workout. The Cow Harbor team will check in to motivate you on your journey if that's what you want.

Cow Harbor is without a doubt in my mind the best CrossFit experience on Long Island. They have top tier equipment, coaches, and a community that genuinely wants you to succeed, I would rate them higher than 5 stars if I could. 10/10!

I just recently started going here since moving to the area. My previous box is too long to commute to and I was sad to leave. I dabbled In globo gyms but I really missed that “box” community feeling. It’s hard to start over after going somewhere for years but I decided to give CowHarbor a try. The first thing I noticed are the coaches. They are actually involved in the development of each and every person. I cant remember the last time I saw the breakdown and progressions of a movement from the foundational level to the high level. They don’t just set the clock and stand around. They are attentive and detail oriented. I’ve never in my life gotten a text from a coach about my whereabouts if I miss too many workouts or how to stay accountable to whatever fitness goals I set until now. It’s the little things that matter to me. Although it’s the most I’ve paid for a box personally, the value is there. There’s workshops and things like that occurring frequently. The gym also doesn’t feel that cliquey.Everyone has been pretty friendly. Definitely check it out if in the area.

When I started Cow Harbor CrossFit three years, one of the first words Coach Lou said to me was, “We are like one big FAMILY” and wow, was he right! I felt right at home from the very first workout and I knew this was the gym for me.
All of the coaches are highly qualified and AMAZING! They know just how much to push you or help you scale back, and give excellent focused advice/ tips to help achieve your workout goal (you will not get that at any other regular gym).

I joined Cow Harbor after college to stay in shape and make a few friends. That is an understatement of what has prevailed since then.
The coaching staff has created a facility and a space that is unlike any other gym on Long Island. The workouts/cycles are constantly challenging, different and interesting. I am able to test my body to new limits, develop new skills and strengths.
I started crossfit in 2016 and joined cow harbor in 2019. I immediately focused on strength training, mobility, recovery and so much more. However, after a few years of crossfit, I began to plateau in my strength and recognized I was lacking proper nutrition. I decided to join the Harboring Better Nutrition Program offered at cow harbor. WOW. Talk about a game changer. Within the first few weeks of the nutrition program (where Kallie worked with me to develop a plan that would benefit my training and catered to my needs/allergies) I felt energized, well rested, less bloated and less fatigued. My clothes fit better, my body was no longer inflamed and the best part, I gained confidence. Kallie has created a nutrition program that is manageable, flexible and SUSTAINABLE. Since I started working with Kallie and Cow Harbor's nutrition program, I have lost body fat, gained muscle, gained confidence and PR'd in my training. I've been doing CrossFit on and off since 2007. Have been a part time member of boxes in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Dropped in to boxes all across the country. I've been full time at Cow Harbor for 6 yrs since I moved to Long Island. To say its a new home is an understatement. The gym itself is clean and well kept with all the equipment you could need. The coaches care and support you. If you missed a week, they check in on you to see how you're doing! And then there is the community. this is the top part of Crossfit in general- but especially at Cow Harbor. I'm not from LI and having a place to connect with other like minded adults is awesome. Its way better than going to a globo gym on your own. Like if you played guitar, sure you could play at home in your basement but going to cow Harbor is like taking that guitar to jam with your friends. It keeps you accountable, a certain time and a certain place. When you go you get better, its simple. You get stronger, you get faster, you get better at everything in your life. you learn how to do hard things. you meet friends. What else can I say? Lou and Alison and the whole crew are top notch.

One Saturday afternoon I walked into Cow Harbor Cross Fit looking for a change in my morning workout. I was greeted by Lou and Alison and before I knew it I was signed up for the Wednesday 5:30 AM class. Three years later I look forward to getting up every morning for the now 5 AM Class.
The Coaches not only keep the workouts interesting and challenging but are keenly aware of each members abilities and guide them through the work out accordingly.

I've been to CrossFit boxes throughout the country and can honestly say that CHCF is my favorite of them all. Loui and Alison are top rate coaches that truly care about their athletes. They will ensure you are not only performing a movement to standard but, also performing to your potential. And, the facility is beautiful, well laid out and always being improved. As someone who has been to numerous CrossFit gyms on LI over the last ten years, Cow Harbor CrossFit is by far my favorite. The coaching staff is attentive, supportive, super friendly, and they will always go the extra mile to work with you to explain a movement. i Joined CHCF a little over a year ago , and not only am I physically stronger, I am also mentally tougher. The coaches are incredible, but the community is easily the best part of CHCF. I have been involved in sports all my life ! and over the years I had lost the motivation to challenge myself in life and fitness until I walked in to the first workout. I have to say I was challenged. I immediately canceled my old gym membership.

I have been a member for almost 2 years now and I do crossfit as part as my morning ritual... It's what gets me going .... It's what I look forward in doing the next day.
